Guys. In this game we pretend to be cows in order to train cows to fight predators. We swim while wearing heavy plate armor. We will soon be gliding — through the jungle! No need to watch out for that tree.
I don’t think centaur thieves doing death blossoms is too much of a stretch.
Now. Do you? Really?
It’s likely Revenant related as Ventari was datamined as a legend and the quote seems to suggest Ventari.
In a game where you’ve killed 10,000’s if not 100,000 sentient beings/animals I find your false sense of offendidness a little hard to believe… Your character is literally the biggest mass murderer in all of history, killing a few frogs is the least of your worries.
Heck if you’ve completed the ambient killer achievement you’ve killed enough bunnies to have been committed in real life.
Kids these days. Bring back the Guild Wars 1 healing signet! (From what I recall, it was a decent spike heal on a low cooldown, but you took double damage during the activation. No passive effect.)
I always thought that they had the risk-vs-reward of healing signet backwards. The risk of having a moderate heal over time (which is more effective if you mitigate half the incoming damage through active dodging) should be the complete absence of an instant burst heal.
Instead of nerfing passive regen and buffing burst heal, they should completely remove the burst heal and in its place give 1 secs of invuln followed by 5 secs of condition immunity. And for the next 25 seconds – nothing.
You want continual heal over time which provides above average healing over 60 seconds? Fine, but know that the 40 seconds worth of instant healing every one else relies on in emergencies is not available to you.
I keep saying that Healing Signet and Signet of Restoration should have their effects switched.
It’s the warrior who should heal while actively attacking, while the elementalist has much slower attacks on average.
I can’t count how many warriors just kept running around barely attacking while kiting with a bow. That’s no warrior. That’s a coward. They should switch to a faster melee weapon and hit something if they want passive heal.
Active on that warrior healing signet is pretty pathetic. I delay use as long as possible.
In a manner of speaking . . . yes. Eventually, all players will be able to get into the beta. Whether it’s open or closed by pre-purchase or not. That said, it always seemed silly to me to farm an item to beta test a game.
You want me to beta test your game? Invite me, and I will. I’m not farming to have the chance to beta test anything. That seemed incredibly arrogant to me. Since when is beta testing anything, to find bugs and flaws in any expansion, a reward?
But, as always, that’s just my humble opinion.
Tomes of Knowledge will grant 1 level, but won’t help level Masteries at level 80 from what I heard (though whether this is official or not I can’t comment).
Skill Points and Scrolls of Knowledge will be turned into a new wallet currency, currently – and jokingly – named Djinngots.
Time is a river.
The door is ajar.
I dont know if you have read the forums, the twitch chat or the comments on Youtube.
So I ask: What will I get from the 500 skill points I have? They will be turned into “mystic forge materials”, but that can be so much.
Can you PLEASE clarify exactly what we will get?
You should remember to sleep and eat. It’s addicting. I haven’t slept in over 2 years.
Play what you want. Don’t play what others want you to play.

Don’t really see how anything there confirms what you say actually.
It’s not exact, but it seems to indicate that specializations are not actually a new class, but more like a subclass. Druids might not get a new icon, but if you see a ranger running around casting more nature spells and wielding a staff, then you can bet they are “speced” as a druid. I’m going to re-watch the Angry Joe interview later again to try and gather what I can better.
The gameplay is nice but you’ll get bored of it after a while.
The community is toxic because the developers don’t update the game, and they only release “feature packs” which not only do not solve the many bugs (some are even 2 year old) but also don’t add important features.
This game has nowhere near the content other games have received in a 2 year timespan. So enjoy it while you can, but as soon as you reach the endgame, there won’t be much to do.
Best regards!
I already made a refund request about my infinite coin

This.
maybe we grew up
After seeing what we can expect from feature packs, and 1/2 a season of LS2, Its just not enough to make people come back, or keep people playing at the level where they feel invested enough to to spend money on gems.
LS2 is better than before and more interesting, but its not enough to keep many people invested.
The feature packs, so far as i have seen, do not have the type of features that would engage many people.
From my personal perspective, LS2 almost makes me want to play again, but then i just read the spoilers and figure ehh, good enough. After all, i did the first one, and while somewhat interesting after i completed it, there was nothing else in game i wanted to do. A day later or so i did the acheivs, which were kind of bleh in terms of challenge, and super ehhh in terms of rewards. Essentially LS2 is the best aspect of the current system, and its not enough to keep many players engaged.
If this is essentially the blueprint of the future of GW2, ehhhhh
Hmmm, mounts you say?
That is very interesting. I’m curious if any one else in the GW2 community has ever considered such things.
It’s a medical condition, they say its terminal….
Meh. Both the leyline hub fight and the end fight felt like a case of ANet telling me to get screwed for not running a DPS build.
Are you talking about jumping puzzles? Thats not harder content. Its stupid crap brought into an mmo from consoles. Forgive me if i want to play a real mmo and not one where devs are in love with platform console games. The whole new area and its jumping puzzles are annoying and have no place in a real mmo.
Anet screwed up and squeezed diversity out of the game.
That’s what people want – diversity of build.
I don’t know that they’ll bother to change this, since no one actually shows up to work at Anet.
The problem with the meta is it’s boring.
If the game must completely revolve around DPS, then how about shaking things up by introducing diversity into DPS?
Some games have things like Fire Damage, Cold Damage, Lightning Damage, Arcane Damage, Nature Damage, etc.
There’s DoT, and AoE (both ranged and PBAOE).
Anet could have gone that route – a pure DPS game, with many different kinds of damage, that work off different resists and different side effects (conditions).
Instead, we got a one size fits all system.
And this leads to monotony.
Many people simply want a less monotonous game. Because that leads to tactical thinking. It leads to having to make choices during combat.
Combat grows stale in GW2 because of this.
Will they ever do anything about it?
I highly doubt it.
….
No I Just want the trinity Anet promised.….I don’t recall this “promise”….please provide references.
As mentioned above, EVERY player is the source of Damage, Healing & Support/Control.
The only “enforced meta” is in Dungeon speed runs or Fractals. That is a small segment of the game so either learn to cope with the community “issues” or play another aspect of the game.
Look Up " WTF?? No Trinity?" On youtube. It describes the " Trinity" in Gw2. BY Gw2.
Didnt find it. do you have a link?
Notice the dude says " the supposed removal" 10 seconds In… and then describes the Trinity of the game.
The three legs the Gw2 stool is supposed to have is.. Combat, Support, Damage.
Two legs are kinda short and weak. We all know what happens when you sit On this type of stool.
I did find this though:
http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Combat“Guild Wars 2 does not follow the “holy trinity” design found in other MMOs, where professions fall into tank, damage, and healing. Due to a diverse skill system allowing for a multitude of vastly different character builds, every profession in Guild Wars 2 is capable of fitting each of the combat roles (damage, support, control) or are sometimes even the result of a combination of them.
Every profession has the tools to survive on its own."
Exactly my point. We Agree. The Trinity was not removed, it was changed. And it is now set up so each class fits only one predetermined Trinity role… healing Priests, tanking paladins…etc… but all classes can fit any of the trinity roles.
I believe the problem is one where the game hyped up two roles, and yes, watch that video it IS hype. But then … trivialized two of the roles to be " Role-type skills".
Instead of a group needing any of the five in the dungeon to say " Ok, I’ll take the healer spot this time." what they did was gave everyone the skills to heal themselves. Instead of having one say " This run through I’ll do CC ( crowd control)"… they simply gave everyone the tools to CC.
This may be from where a lot of the disappointment for some players stems.

I was quite happy with the recent Mai Trin “bug” – the one that made here 3-4 hit you.
My party was doing rather poorly keeping themselves alive and free of conditions, so I rerolled with my Cleric WvW Shout Build. It was nice to see that I was actually useful for a change running a Heal build – helping my team by healing them and keeping them alive.
Unfortunately they fixed her and it’s now another face roll boss.
No you didn’t. This episode was more filler than anything else.
Someone needs to learn the difference between filler and plot/character growth.
If it wasn’t painfully clear, not every story piece needs to be filled with kill x boss.
Yep. DBZ had plenty of plot growth. Hardly in story progression occurred during that episode. All you did was run errands for a few people.
Fetch parts for Taimi. Fetch pieces of a crown for Rytlock. Do an event chain for Braham and Eir. This consisted most of the episode.
Your analysis of this episode sounds very bitter and jaded. Maybe if you actually didnt come into it with the glass half empty approach you could actually appreciate the fact that the following things happened between all of what you listed….
Eir and Braham are on civil speaking terms and are sharing a significant bonding moment. Something they have not had since Braham decided to leave and be his own man.
Rytlock has decided to end the plight of the Ascalonians and in doing so has pathed the way for Rox to be her own woman and lead where he cannot.
Taimi has managed to create a new tool to reduce the amount of magic required for waypoints to function, serving two fold in halting Mordremoth’s feasting leaving him weakened but also providing the universe with more reliable waypoints.
And to top it off we have a world first. The prospective leaders of each race convening for a summit.
If that is not story growth and plot progression then i don’t know what else to tell you.
Maybe you should stick to DBZ if all you can get behind is the tournament style battle royal next villain mentality.
I truly cannot imagine a world where awful characters like the biconics get to be in every major release and then a hero like Trahearne gets offed.
I’d buy the trilogy and eye of the north over the platinum pack. It’ll cost you more but you get all the games. Try the free demo though and decide for yourself. You can download it from guildwars.com
Lets be honest. Rytlock failed because anet is too lazy to do something as ballsy as to remove most of the Ascalon ghosts.
