I can prove that by a simple thought experiment:
Thesis: Necros are good.
- People say eles are bad.
- Anet buffs eles.
- Ele is good now.
- People say necros are bad.
- Anet doesn’t buff necros.
- Necro must be good already.

Shoutout to the Devs and especially Jon ‘5 signets’ Peters who graced us with this wonderfully balanced game.
6 seconds on my Necro.
Show me the 6 second fear in game. Tooltips are notoriously awful, especially about condition durations.
I crafted a set of light ascended armor early and would not be upset at all if they lowered it to 50. I’d be very happy for my alts and everyone else who didn’t have to deal with this issue.
I love how every one of your “answers” is designed to have negative repercussions.
As a Havoc driver I simply do what needs to be done to win the engagement, if it means joining a “zerg” then I will do it, most of the time I will support the “zerg” by opening supply lines and causing distractions.
The problem with people who think like you is that they don’t see WvW in a big picture, “Zergs” represent armies, that is how war works, armies fight armies, calling them “zergs” and trying to denigrate people for partaking is both selfish and ridiculous based on the way the game is set up.
If you prefer a more solo-friendly play style that is PvP then I suggest SPvP.
I’m sure they’re working on it
yay! nerf all the things!
1. i use my burst skills when i’m blinded. it should be more rewarding!
2. i spam all my skills at an evade spam thief and it doesn’t work. it should be more rewarding!
3. i throw my aoes out randomly at a stealth target so they do not do enough damage when they accidentally hit. it should be more rewarding!
4. i waste my dodges and blocks on situations where i know they will not help. it should be more rewarding!
5. i can’t beat people unless they make a mistake when i’m obviously making many. it should be more rewarding!i… you… okay…
1. I don’t, I press 1 till it goes away or try and use a ranged cast if they are not near me/ ranged weapon( but then they can just apply it straight away so -.-)
2again as soon as I see them evading I do not use anything but auto attacks or try get away needless to say anything I was doing just as they start to evade seeing as it is normally initiated from stealth will go to waste
3. I put my aoe around me and stand in them, but you know.. thief has a bow and they only last 5-10 seconds or can be easily negated.
4. so dodging the initial burst from stealth is a waste? even with the increased damage with attacks from stealth trait.. ok what ever, if you get lucky it was on an attack that makes them revealed sometimes, but that is usually met with running away for 4 seconds only to go back into stealth when its over.
5. matter of opinion really. I can only do so much even when I do land immobs they can get away quite easily but again that situation is usually met with a shot of blind to mitigate my attack so I cant make sure they stay there followed by teleport and by then the immob is over.
I guess my main problem is with sd thief and again I don’t know what the solution is, the way the class works just allows for way too much survivability in comparison with the healing and the evades
evades blocks stealth are way better sustain mechanics then extra health with no way to stop incoming attacks the regen speed of initiative and the way your weapons work allows for frequent high damage bursts. if the first burst fails just teleport away stealth kite wait and continue till your opponents defences / big hitting skills are all sitting behind a nice timer while you can just go in for the kill with the same combo you used just seconds ago.

I can bring my guild into EoTM to annihilate the Ktrains, We think it’s fun.
Since your guild gets wiped in EB and BL’s on a regular basis you need somewhere you can boost guild morale. Killing uplevels in EoTM with an organised guild group requires a low skill level, this is what EoTM should be for, guilds that can’t handle regular WvW.
You mean guilds who don’t have 30 lame players who are willing to use lame specs and tactics.
Calling guilds and players that play well lame wont easy your pain of getting wiped by them.
But that is what EoTM should be, a sort of training ground for guilds and players that can’t thrive in regular WvW or want to use ‘I play how I want’ builds/team composition. The easy victory against unorganised groups and uplevels is perfect for those who don’t like a hard fought battle. It IS fun to wipe an uplevel zerg with 1/4 of their numbers. If they were paying kitten attention for 10 seconds they would kill us too. They would just need to focus their damage on us and we’d die almost instantly. It’s happened in the past when the uplevel zergs were actually ready for us.
Sometimes, when you’ve got 10 players online, you can’t make a huge dent in WvW proper, so you get everyone into EOTM where you can still practice your stuff, while still getting out zerged 3 or 4-1.
Did you seriously just say killing EotM ktrains is challenging? lololololololololol
Find mispositioned uplevels, down uplevels, AoE uplevels, get back up from rallybots, fall back, repeat
Very difficulty much skill
He never said its challenging, he said its good training and i agree. For new, small wvw guilds its actually nice to train your movement, commands etc in there. The fact that you win most of the time and get lots of loot is more fun than being wiped by a 30+ hardcore wvw guild all the time.
I dont think anybody posted here and boasted how good his guild is in wiping upleveled karma trainers. Everybody knows its easy. And its fun.
These days, i dont see any innovative siege placement or group compositions in regular anymore. EotM is just a change of pace and something new to explore.Next time im in there, i gonna try to get a warrior raid going and wipe the enemy karma train by jumping down on them when they are close to an edge with Death from Above traited.
I’m sure it looks like good training on the surface but I can only lol to myself when thinking about it further.
In EotM you’re farming a group of rallybot uplevels wearing crappy gear (if not naked), few traits, little knowledge of the class, and non-synergistic class composition. Sure they can down you, but you’ll never die so long as there’s another rallybot, and EotM ktrains never run out of them. Above all, they generally have no desire nor readiness to fight.
Little to none of this will transfer over to “real WvW” with the “30+ hardcore wvw guild” you spoke of that knows what it’s doing and wants to fight. At this point he is basically the Borderlands equivalent of the crying EotM ktrainer whose run got spoiled by someone more organized. Practice, no. Escape, more like it.
As far as the challenging bit, I specifically picked on him and him alone because of his emphasis on “getting out zerged 3 or 4-1”. The others in this thread, you included, have been far more honest about your motives for fighting and defending in EotM.
This. Very much this.
Would be a great use for this ridiculous mat.
Yo, I bought a tag to mislead people to fall off edges in EotM. Don’t judge me!
Well, Thank You. I’m not really looking onto flipping, my “TP-Play” is solid,
since I found powerselling disgousting, and harmful to the whole economy.
So I’m looking for the opportunity to block these users out of this “play”…
Sorry
Good luck! And thank you for your gold.

Last I knew 1 was still greater than 0. But it’s been a few years since I graduated, maybe the rules of math have changed.

Sanctum of Rall
As a recent boomerang, this is what I’ve learned from the LFG tool:
- Apparently, you need 4k AP to be even considered worthy of their brain time. Most groups expect you to have 8k. Sweet. Only 7k to go to be considered worthy. See you all in 3 years, I guess.
- If you’re not a warrior, you suck. Sometimes, an elementalist is fine, but only for the regen.
- People stack for everything, and don’t even know why. Your average AC run goes like this: All goes fine up to the spider queen. Someone insults everyone else until they stack at the pillar at the bottom of the stairs. The queen is pulled, and then everyone dies. Repeat a few times, and then people leave “beacuse this group sucks”.
- You need to be level 80, experienced, and in full exotic to do AC.
- Ppl typ liek dis, and expect me to understand it. Couple it with lots of insults and constantly repeating “omg”, and I understand even less of what you want from me.
- Anything, anything at all, and you get a kick. Sometimes even for nothing. Just because kitten you.
- You don’t have a name. You have a class. And you will be called “mes”, or “ele”, just to make it very clear that you are worth less than the dirt under their soles to them. Only worthy people have names. You do not.
- If you fall behind, nobody will wait for you. Ever. If they even notice, you will just get insulted, and probably kicked.
- You’ve never done this dungeon before? That’s a kickin’
