Iv debated the answer to this question myself and tbh the options are limited especially in pve but what I can say is that when I have to pug I usually look at the achievement points total of the players that join the group. Someone with 5k points is more likely to know what they are doing than someone with 500 points. Also they have now added titles for achievement points. At 5k you get the first 1 i think. Also apparently there is a list somewhere that shows achievement point ranking and most players fall less than 3k so having that 5k title is actually something not everyone and their mothers actually have yet.

I bought about 48 rare shields for like 11g just to test out this mystic toilet precursor stuff and got nothing. Then I said one day…. Me and my guildies go and kill these world bosses everyday and many of us get like 15-20 rares from this so I created the Guild Go-Fish where after we do our daily rotation of bosses we exchange rares with each other. If I have a greatsword and you have a shield we switch and we both need each others item we trade with each other.

It just so happens that I accumulated my first 4 shields from this Go-Fish and threw them in the forge and got the precursor lol. After this all my guildies got in on the Go-Fish idea.

Fyi for those curious I have a lvl 77 n 78 rare along with 2 80s that made the precursor.

Does fractals get new dungeon rewards?

A dev has mentioned that champs in fractals will receive new rewards but not the gold rewards. He also said by years end there should be more updates to rewards.

Goldfind doesnt affect the current system so I dont see why it would affect the new system…

Hello,

I would like to send a call out to all the cartographers out there to help compile a list of champs for each zone so that when the new changes come next week we are ready to begin the train farm.

So please state the name of the boss and what zone they spawn along with closest WP and I will try to keep a master list on this first post so that we can all benefit.

It sounds like it might be a good idea. The easy, low level ones will drop area level mats, skill points and some other stuff, probably a green item. Enough to make it worthwhile to kill but not really enough to camp them. It’s the high level champions that sound more promising and the ones that might get camped. ANet could fix that by lengthening the respawn timer. Enough so that it’s not worth waiting there just for that.

Whether people start calling out champions and waypointing to them in a zerg, depends again on how rewarding they are. ANet needs to hit a sweet spot. Just enough to do but not enough to farm.

Now, in anything but a starter zone, people call out a champion and ask for help and get answered by, nothing.

Low level items, skill point drops and a green item isnot even worth while..especially not to a level 80. So why would an 80 bother to help with the champ that he sees one or two low levels struggling with?

Contradicting my last post, say what you will…seeing the queensdale zerg livens up that low level zone a bit.

I truely hope the reward is something worth while
A level 80 does not need more skill points, more karma,or tier 5 mats. Theres already a ton of that in the game and you can get it otherways. T6 mats are OK, Rare or exotics are good. I dont know..just something other than skill points. I dont need em. Never have.

Well I just checked my “skillfull” achievement and I have accumulated almost 800 skill points but yet I barely have any left on any character. With new skills coming that will require skill points and possibly going for another legendary I will welcome skill points as drops.

CoF farm

I mentioned this in the other thread but it seems the only change coming is no more 26s for completing a path (which is subject to DR) in favor of 1g. Therefore at full 26s you would only lose money after 5 paths of CoF p1 and by then you are getting hit with DR anyway so it would really take more than 5 paths.

Maybe after 4-5 CoF p1 paths per day players should start to experience other content has to offer….. AC p1 n p3 r 15m runs…. Also go do a world boss train to get all the ectos !!

Is solo arena the substitute for dueling?

What I would like to know is how do solo rankings work? I dont really tourny much so I dont know how the current system works. Is it based on rank points earned during a match?

Before anymore QQing takes place I think we need better clarification of this new system as the way I see it the only change to gold is the 26s you receive at the end of each path is gone in favor of 1g minimum reward. All bosses (including final boss of CoF p1) will still drop silver so with ur omnoms and boosters you will still make 30s on final boss and 20s on regular bosses. So it will take 5 CoF runs before you actually make less money than the current system.

Every time some player talks about engineer dps and grenades, my hands hurt.
Seriously, ever tried using a grenade engineer? No autoattack, you’ve got to spam every- single-one of them. Now do that all the time while playing. You’re basically asking for a carpal tunnel syndrome doing so.
Such a build isn’t feasible in the long run – for your health.

Actually the higher burst DPS Engie build involves only using 1 nade skill: Grenade Barrage. On my build most of the time i barely use the actual tool kit unless i am trying to load conditions on enemy to increase my damage from new grandmaster trait.

When a boss (like the temple bosses) are loading with conditons i hit for about 14k barrage, 10k jump shot, 5k blowtorch and the #4 skill (if they all crit of course) and on top of that auto attack with Elixer U is hitting for 3k+ per hit.

I have little trouble playing my Engi in dungeons but I also have Tank Guard and i find the ability to “Tank” in this game a lot more fun than just straight dps’ing.

Ever since the patch iv done some testing to see which does the best burst damage: Flamethrower builds or Rifle Builds. My findings have showed that overall the damage between the two forms are about the same. FT builds do better in AoE damage while Rifle builds gives you better range and CC.

But it should be noted that when fighting in a big group of allies in which a lot of conditions will be applied (like a Temple Boss) the Rifle builds will yield higher damage as the new grandmaster trait will at a good 20% extra dam to not only ur rifle attacks (10k jump shot) but also grenade barrage (12k grenade barrage attack on Lyssa)

Healing Mist - Stun Breaker

Elixer Gun was awesome waaayyy before they added the stun breaker.

Dropping a 10s 320hp/sec heal thats a light combo field and combining that with a 300/sec 10s healing mist as well as also having the ability to cause vulnerability/cleanse conditions, bleeds, weakness and a jump back skill makes it one of the most useful kits for any support build.

For lvling I found the rifle to be extremely useful due to the crowd control and quick AoE damage. Flamethrower is also good as you will tag mobs and do great damage as well as have a knockback and blind.

I use Rifle for power build since the update with new grandmaster trait and dual pistols when running a healing/condition build.

What I would like to know is since we cannot swap to another weapon when we swap to our kits should we not be able to trigger sigils that have “on weapon swap” effects whenever we switch from weapon to kit or kit to weapon?

Is Jump Shot bugged after yesterdays patch?? When I land i seem to bounce in the air and land again not allowing me to move until the motion is completely done which makes this skills slower than it was before rather than faster.

Is Healing Power worth it?

I have a healing power/condition damage support build which is useful in all facets of the game. Stats hover around the 3.2k armor, 20k health, 1.3k condition dam (1.55 with sigil), and 1.3k + healing power. Can it kill as quickly as a flamethrower power build? Of course not but its soo tanky that you will probably outlast your enemy and can provide a lot of utility damage support on top of your healing support. Your super elixer and toolbelt elixer alone is a 600-700 per sec regen and super elixer is a light combo for retaliation.

I just wished they would fix the Engi poison volley shot to actually hit straight, along the lines of the thief or mesmer burst pistol skills.

He is right though you cant single out one profession and give them some fun content like that and not do the same for others. I would live to have a storyline that would grant my Engi a legendary looking skin for one of my kit like flamethrower or elixer gun. Engi’s get the shaft right now when it comes to legendary’s since its mostly not visible due to kits.

My Engi is my main char but i feel it pointless to pursue a legendary weap since most of the time it wont be visible due to kits, What they really need to do is created legendary versions of kits that you receive if you equip a legendary thus giving us some more incentive to pursue them.

Guardian Focus and Shield

If we r going to use logic then my biggest issue is the fact that shield’s #4 ability only grants protection to those in front of the guardian. I use Mace/Shield in my tank build and usually r standing right in front of my enemy. Most of my allies are usually behind me so when If pop #4 then usually none of them get the buff. Please make this aoe radius based.

+1 iv collected my 77 clovers, bought a bunch of karma gear already and still got like 700k + karma available to be. We definitely need more ways to spend the currency.

Hello,

I have 8 characters, one for each profession, and I am finding it conflicting and frustrating that when I switch representation from one guild to another and then switch characters I have to repeat the process. Sometimes I forget to do so and that can create conflicts as some guild have stricter representation requirements.

It would be nice to have an option that when I switch my representation all my characters switch as well. For those who dont like this feature they simply can toggle off this feature.

Hello,

I am sorry if this has been suggested previously as I do not post much on these forums but I had to come here and make this suggestion since this is something that should have been common sense and not have to be brought up on a forum.

Why is it that not all profession have access to swiftness utility skill???

I have created one of each profession have enjoyed playing all of them but I cannot understand why some professions like a Mesmer is forced to using a weapon in order to gain access to a swiftness buff. Is it not common sense that all professions should have at least 1 utility that award this boon? If you have to waste a slot just to have a swiftness boon they that would be your choice but at least give each profession this choice.

With the new patch coming out and ANet’s saying it is the “largest balance patch ever” I am just wondering if they aware of this and are working towards correcting the issue, otherwise, state their reason for not doing so.
