no to eotm replacing eb, i would simply quit. and a big NO to any PVE in a NON pve orientated game type. if you want to play pve content go play the pve maps, dont bring that into wvw. how about bringing pvp into pve maps, yeah?

Ill do you one better had a guild mate actually pulled thu a fully reinforced wall tonight and killed they were hitting us all thu the same gate and walls not aoe wide rage hits like they were targeting us and hitting! just more BS cheats…

It isn’t cheaters, it is bugs in games not being fixed fast enough. Pretty much every class can hit los. Revenant is the worst since his hammer 2 just keep on travel inside and up another wall or in to the air. Don’t acuse people of cheating, adress the issue to anet who need to start bugfix in wvw.

Maybe you missed the part were I said my guild mate got pulled thu a wall? ill stop accusing when people stop the dam hacks…its pretty clear to tell a cheat from a genuine issue…besides once you know its a bug exploiting it over and over like was happening last night becomes a cheat!

maybe you missed the part of what this thread was about. make sense, stop with the qq.

i started a thread about this 19 days ago today, and still nothing.

patch has been and still happening. anything thats not upgraded causes this. rangers necros revenants, all can attack thorugh walls with piercing attacks.

while doing dragons stand, i didnt recieve the protector of all, and there was no chest at the end of the meta event either (there was collision). first run of the day aswell.

if eb went to a megaserver and turned into another pve ktrain i would quit this game. i dont think i would be the only person to say this. i play this game for fights not pve content, i doubt people that want anything competetive to stay would want eb as a mega server based map to play on. atleast i wouldn’t. even if it were to add more numbers to a map, what would be the point of a server.

Weak lifeforce generation and condi clear is enough of a reason to always take soulreaping and consume conditions as your heal. imo your better running full beserkers using these weapons since you your relying on chill so heavily and the condi damage really is not there outside of shroud. if i could add to what you have made though, i would say swap out the sigils of ice on staff for a geomancy sigil and for energy on the GS. i wouldnt waste time taking spectral grasp since its quite unreliable and has a long cooldown for what it does, and you could really use a stunbreak being so squishy.

I’ve found that roaming in wvw, running sinister or a mix with 1/2 sinister, curses really is not worth taking even using conditions, over spite/soulreaping/reaper. the synergy just was not there for me and i also find GS useless out side of anything other then for a 1v1 or a 1v2 and highly unreliable at best.

I’ve noticed the lag opening the guild panel while being in the treasury too. not to the point of my game crashing, but freezing up for a moment until one window is closed.

so the trading post was down about an hour ago for maintenance. since that i am now getting obnoxious internet adds poping up whenever i take a look at the gem store. What was the maintenance?

Currently going through all popup blocker, internet and firewall settings that i can trying to get rid of it. Aswell as trying to find out what dns unblocker is

Needed changes to Axe&Focus

i cant see why you are bringing this up while trying to use both axe and focus in a meele scenario. 600 range and 1200 range is not meele…… logic

The Main attack, Ghastly Claws, gets interrupted from LoS simply by running through the Necromancer while they channel, and goes on full cool down. this can be hard to use in close combat, leaving you pretty much defenseless since that your main LF generation from Axe. Again strong weakness, with little defense if you counter this one skill in close combat.

step back out of meele. theres your problem…, use reapers touch when they get close to you to put on some counter pressure, axe 3 boon rip and cripple them (it helps when peeling from a fight), then do whatever. dont use axe 2 unless you have the space to use it (engaging, kiting or chasing) saying that it is weak because you cant land hits while in meele with them is just stupid to even mention. its not tailored for being in someones face. dont use it like dagger/warhorn. use it as burst along with DS

Reaper’s Touch need better self defense. The Regen is far too weak, and should get some other element to this. Maybe a small self heal along with a condition transfer. Whatever done to this, it needs more stronger defense if its going to keep its cooldown.

regen i agree with you there, but regen is regen its weak for everyone (the boon). as for a condition transfer. dagger already has this, aswell as a blind.

Spinal Shivers should get some sort of small stun or interrupt for this. this skill needs defense element. Chill just doesnt cut it. the cast time need to be reduced. 3/4th is good enough. No way is this currently worth its use.

chilling someone who just had stab swiftness and whatever else ripped may aswell be rendered imobile. i wouldnt say -66% movement is weak or anything (pre movement skill buff or nerf) spinal shivers is one of, if not, a power necros strongest skill close to corrupt boon. too bad its in the form of a trait. i can see the focus needing some love. instant cast and interupt?

My opinion, these power weapons need more defense.

imo Even better.. if its for WvW drop the clunky focus, run offhand dagger. Take the blind and weakness and learn what telegraphed skills to blind and what condis to transfer back. take quickening thirst too since the new bloodmagic rework. the movement speed is a god send. its what i have used along with staff since the stability changes. (axe/dagger, staff) and find it to work alot more fluently.

as others know and have said. Robert Gee has mentioned axe and scepter.

Any server with off hour coverage where another server doesn’t would pull ahead by a large margin if thier server had everything of thiers fully upgraded (OCX/SEA/EU). it would penalize a server for not logging on in the middle of the night or while being at work that doesn’t have much of a pressense outside of NA (ppt wise).bad idea, and i couldnt see this to be a thing… ever.

As for rewards there should be more uses for badges of honor then there are that are appealing enough to WvWers that are long term goals. and i mean loooooooooooooooooooooooong term (im not including Eotm as WvW and imo badges of honor should be removed from there. but that would be an entire thread itself.), rather then just throwing more loot at us.

badges could be used for things like ascended armor at vendors without the need to step foot into pve (insert that video here), account bound foods, unique WvW skins. very very expensive legendary components. these sorts of things would be far more appreciated by people then throwing more loot into WvW. but not while badges are as easy to obtain in Eotm as they currently are.

frames for lower end pc's

So im running an i3 with a 810a Nvidia, and didnt end up signing up for the newsletter which i kind of regret. just wondering how the frames hold up for anyone running a lower end pc while in the new borderland map. as a comparison in any current wvw/pve map my frames are fine 20-45 frames (excluding zerg fights in wvw), but while in drytop or silverwastes my frames tend to drop quite low. is this new map as demanding on frames as much as drytop or the silverwastes? or do i have nothing to worry about. (new pc, just not top end cpu and graphics)

Having condition transfer on shroud was something I was playing with when doing the trait revamp. Plague Sending originally used shroud 1 as its trigger condition rather than critical hit. I ended up changing it because shroud 1 already had several traits that affected it and I didn’t want to overload it, plus the curses line had several traits that affected shroud in some way already. I think it would be a bit overpowered though if Life Blast could transfer conditions on every hit though.

On the topic of increasing the cast speed of Life Blast: I think we would need to lower the damage multiplier if we wanted to increase the cast speed. The damage per second on that skill at its current cast time is already about as high as we are comfortable with. It’s a tricky skill to balance because we’d need to also look at adjusting all the traits that affect it.

It wouldn’t affect Power builds much, but condition builds would appreciate it.

So, you would rather hit for 0% damage instead of 50%? Halving damage and cast time results in indentical DPS, but more chances for crits and procs as well as mitigating anything that would cause the attack to not hit.

As for condi builds having a harder time sustaining life force, they would have an easier time for roughly the same payoff as now, only spending half the time to get an identical number of life blast procs off (so half the degen). It also wouldn’t murder their damage output as badly when the situation demands being in death shroud for extended periods.

Theres a difference between burst potential and dps. dps has near nothing to do with burst. for a power necro theres a difference of getting 1 or 2 lifeblasts to land in a short time under pressure. unless you can understand that i dont see what you are talking about. player skill is always a factor. the way i see it is that it would drop the already low skillbar for the class. sure, it will benefit a power necro camping in deathshroud in the long run with no pressure on them. when it comes down to needing to get just 1 lifeblast off to pressure someone while bursting them on a power build there is a difference (darkpath + doom + 1 lifeblast in between, then coming out of deathshroud on your target for instance. try it ). just because if the cast time and damage were both 1/2 of what they currently are does not result in the same burst damage. camping on lifeblast with no pressure on yourself in the long run? sure maybe.. 1 1 1 1 1 1 1 away

as for a condi necro. i can see it being beneficial and not at all. making dhummfire more viable then it is already not? sure. under pressure your lifeforce would be taking a hit and in my opinion would be harder to pressure anything with lifeblast (diamond skin ele). if it were just to land procs theres plenty of other ways to make sigils/traits proc. not to mention how badly cc can currently shut a necro out.

i only see this as opening up more chance for the attack to not hit. ( theres goes 1/2 your ’’dps’’ from that lifeblast)

i would like to see spectral grasp piercing and pulling up to 5 foes towards you.

i’m tired of not being able to pull my intended target cause it got blocked by bodies.
like the enemy zerg’s commander or mesmer hiding behind his clones etc.

sounds a little overpowered to me if everyone could driver snipe so easily. i just want to see if work properly.

I would take a more reliable pull, with a longer effective range against running targets, that still Chills enemies, over a 5% LF nerf any day. Life Force generation is so easy now, and if you make the Spectral skills good enough to take Spectral Mastery that 5% comes right back and you can get 15% Life Force and 6 seconds Chill every 24 seconds. Remember, you don’t get any Life Force if the attack misses.

to take that spectral mastery aswell dont forget you would be giving up vital persistence and would miss out on 50% slower draining LF

for wvw, it depends on what you are doing with your time. whether you are a roamer or a zerger. stat wise the most common thing for a necro is power/wells running zerk with a zerg (they are pretty much zerg meta and its their one place that shines the most throughout). as for roaming, its personal preference to whether you want to play power or condi. power with a mix of zerk/knights is personally what i use while roaming, but a condi build running rabid or something else is a bit more viable when it comes down it. that being said though it depends entirely on whether you are running solo or in a small group of people to which playstyle or gear combo fits best.

edit: Necro still has its strengths and weaknesses no matter which stat combo you end up choosing.

Just add homing ,increase its velocity and pull fixes. The skill really doesn’t need anything else. Projectile finisher would be fun, but not necessary.

I really haven’t had much in the way of issues with the pull failing. If I tried to yank someone over a small boulder, sure, but otherwise, no.

Remember NPC’s can’t fall.

Doesn’t the pull still launches the opponent in the sky at occasions?

If you pull someone up/down a slope and/or against a wall or something, yeah.

Even though theres nothing wrong with its range (execpt for those times your OBVIOUSLY WITHIN RANGE AND IT SAYS YOU ARE NOT) and for it not to be so unreliable when using it on someone who isn’t standing still or running towards you.

i agree. something about the grasp range, every now and then just feels unreliable to me.

Say you use it while at 1000 range from a running target. Target runs 300 before the projectile hits. It will miss by 100 since the target is now further from the original place it was cast from. Thats how I’m sure it works. But when they start to run to the left or right it feels like it multiplys even more . You pretty much need to use it point blank

Edit : that’s including you chasing them, the original cast point will be behind you. so you will still be 1000 range away and miss while chasing them.

The only thing I would like to see change to this would be a velocity increase which would sort it for its cast point range (if you want to call it that?) Even though theres nothing wrong with its range (execpt for those times your OBVIOUSLY WITHIN RANGE AND IT SAYS YOU ARE NOT) and for it not to be so unreliable when using it on someone who isn’t standing still or running towards you. Which is where i think a velocity change would fit (buggy.. I’m sure it’s not just me seeing that person appear ontop of that wall after pulling and seeing them on the ground) To me, with it being blockable is fine.. that’s where player skill and knowledge of others classes comes into play.

Who plays WvW only?

Im about 200 ranks away from platinum. Have 6 Characters (2 necro). 46% map completion on the first character i made (mainly because of guild missions), one character with 100% to make a legendary (which i hated doing). other then that all my characters have about 1 or 2% map completion. If i were to link a screenshot of the map of the one that i play on, all you would see is that i’ve run from Rata Sum to the Silverwastes and been to Lions Arch because the rewards you get from wvw are pitiful.

When i log in the first thing i do is go straight into WvW. So you could say that 99% of my time playing this game is WvW ONLY except for the time spent grinding for my legendary

i do believe that duping golems for free, and keeping the golem buff OUTSIDE of a golem is not what this week is suppost to be like. go try roam. you’’l come across a group of 3 people all abusing this. see where this is going? not only has ranked wvw turned into eotm on steroids so far this week even trying to get fights or looking for good fights is pretty much gone this week aswell. thats what i have seen from reset till late ocx / late sea coverage in a t4 matchup. i also hope wvw will be rolled back a week since glicko was not disabled. i ONLY wvw untill im forced into the pve content which i do not like or have a care for.

Ran into a guild in Ehmry Bay where every player was exploiting this bug. It was quite obvious that they knew what they were doing .They were trampling everyone in their path and couldn’t be defeated . Now according to the rules this sort of behavior (" intentional exploitation of a bug for personal gain") is unacceptable .What is Anet planning on doing about this.

yup my gulid ran into the same problem. We were wondering why are these Ehmry bay players practically one shotting us. My guild only found out about the bug an hour ago. We all gave up an hour after reset. The bug is down right disgusting. I demand the event be either stopped or fixed. Sure have the event but fix this broken bug please. its gross also to players defending the bug don’t think your pro. Your a griefer who can only win by exploit.

Also getting the bug is not hard. Its not easy to get by accident so I demand banning of players using it. What happened to fair play?

If i wated to name and shame, i would have posted their account names. although i didnt take Tos into account, im sure this by far goes against something more then Tos

You posted a screenshot of their character names did you not?

Only reason I am replying and concerned about this, is because I could simply made a similar screenshot of totally innocent players.

read the above. i even went back 36 mins later. they have not moved
