There was a thread not too long ago where 2 other people challenged each other to 1v1’s and you, without surprise, jumped in and were like, OH ME ME I WANT IN. It’s that attitude that is a bit irritating. The whole “duel me bro” thing is played out and stale, especially in a game where you get nothing from it.

First off, I like to duel people so I try to set up duels with good thieves. Second, I knew of the build before trig told me, get your facts right. Third, I only raged at you the first time I saw you, you ran from me while you had full stacks and perplex, then we dueled and settled it. I truly don’t care what spec you run, if you like to be condi, then go for it. I’m not “boosting my ego” when I’m asking to duel someone. I comment on thieves videos because I’d like criticism in mine too, anything to improve my play.

The fight was going nowhere and I went ooc to change a trait from a fight I had setup with someone else. I ran immediately back to fight you, but you had already made up your mind to rage at me. Regardless, thats irrelevant and a moot point to the original point I was trying to make.

Regardless of what your intentions supposedly are, you come across as VERY condescending and very kitteny. You literally complained from 9CST to 2CST about how you were screwed out of your duel in snuffles tourney. Whether you were or weren’t, I don’t care, but I’m certainly not the only one saying these things. I’m just saying what impressions myself and many others have of you.

I did lose In snuffles tourny, it shouldn’t have happened the first fight, my internet is bad I got over that. I don’t care what people think of me, some like most don’t. In fact 80% of my server doesn’t like me, not a big deal to me.

In my opinion, Acrobatics is dumb for S/D. You already can evade a lot, no need for more evades. Trickery is the better way to go for S/D. I’ve also mained S/D for a long time and ive tested pretty much all specs for S/D and ive found trickery the most useful.

If TC plays hard for second place, they can pull an upset over JQ. That’s not to say it would be easy. JQ has the strongest Oceanic and SEA in T1, so trying to win over coverage like that is quite tough (continuous coverage from NA to EU). It’ll be how each server manages their PvE carebears, as we’re more or less queuing up 2-3 maps all day long

As for t2 servers, they could also pull an upset by deciding a 2v1 on a target of their choice. AGG and NS being on SoS basically means that in a JQ, BG and SoS matchup, BG is looking at a 2v1 on at least 2 maps during NA. If it’s TC, BG and SoS, it might be a little more random.

Agg is not on SoS.

I respect Thieves that make videos of them showing the reality of the game. And not just highlighting their endless amount of non deaths. People that can die in their video’s and put up a good fight earn my respect.

I could do that, but I feel it would be drawn out. I’ve done fights like this but it doesn’t seem fun to watch so I end up deleting the footage. For my next video though, I’m doing some outnumbered fights and putting in some dueling clips with serane and nex, and any other person that would like to duel.

I actually enjoyed this, very good cinematic editing. You are knowledgeable of Thief, and can time pretty well. There were things i myself would have done differently, but that’s just me. Good pivot turn and using your environment to your advantage on your brink of low hp running behind the wall making the guardian fall.

It’s funny you mentioned the cinematic thing. I had some ‘try hard’ editing and music originally and just gave up on it. :/ Thanks for the kind words. I actually chased that warrior out of the water, but I cut the clip early. That mobility is obnoxious.

@Amon. Most of the fights I have recorded dont last that long with the exception of that clip and maybe two others. I wish I wouldn’t have fumbled at the end of the first clip and tried to keep the streak going. Oh well though.

Everyone clumps thieves into the same category, I would actually love to see you run s/d and beat eles/necros/Engis/warriors easily all the time. OP, thanks for making the video as i always enjoy watching others play, hell i was even watching a guy craft the other day lol. It’s also always nice to see someone take the effort and actually post for others, either way you look at it posting this CANNOT hurt the community.

Although i agree with some of the people in that they were trying to provide constructive criticism unfortunately doing so on the forums automatically comes across as an attempt at shaming. This is partly because it is so “public” and also because others are quick to jump in and try to come across as “pro” while at the same time generally being negative about everything besides their own godhood.

Let me ask you this OP; how many PM’s have you received from people giving you this advice or help? I’m sure the reasons behind these posts will become clear when you answer.

As for some of the posters, several of you have posted your own videos, builds with “your” name attached to it (as if 70 numbers allocated to 5 slots in 5 and 10 increments could actually be unique…in a demographic of millions) and state throughout that you are dueling some of the “best” or the “BEST” of XYZ class.

So firstly, say’s who? other players, elitists, basement dwellers? the job centre? where is this scoring displayed?…nowhere. So get off your high horse.

Secondly, One of the poster’s in here who i won’t name uses a particular P/D build which revolves around stealthing and heavy health steal etc. Now that build was around in a similiar form since 2012 and was considered THE cheese in WvW. So if your going to shame or hate on another person’s post its best to follow the whole “Pot, Kettle” view.

Or you know, just don’t post.

Seeing as there are no videos that use p/d except mine, you’re talking about me. I will let you know that my p/d is in my offhand and I rarely use it anymore. S/D is what’s fun, might swap pistol for sb who knows.

When I went I also found an amazing thief and an amazing guardian… S+D/P+D or D+P (not sure) thief and I think GS/S+F guardian… Yeah i kept losing to them a lot and enjoying some good duels when Odinzu and some other trolls from his guild EP started killing them for no reason and they left leaving nobody in the arena…. Maguuma server is really good duelists from what I’ve seen.

It’s not impossible as a D/D Ele to kill a P/D thief but it is a hard fight. No D/D ele in their right mind will use ether renewal against a P/D perp thief at least not fighting a decent one.

This sits in the realm of melee vs ranged which is why D/D ele vs necro is a very hard fight you need to get into melee for damage same happens in P/D perp vs D/D Ele. It’s not impossible but it isn’t a easy fight for D/D ele by any means. If you are patient and abuse body shot when needed as P/D you shouldn’t lose to tbh.

We’re 50/50 right now, so I’ll give you some benefit of the doubt. But you really should try playing 10/30/0/0/30, especially against all the broken stuff in WvW. Because if you don’t think it requires at least some semblance of “skill,” then nothing in this game does.

I have ran that build. I am not a fan of it because almost everyone I see uses condi, and with the lack of survivability in the build is useless to me. Sure, it requires some skill, but playing d/p with it isn’t as hard as playing s/d with it.

I was mad when i first faced this build as it was a 3v1 in OUR camp…and he got 2 stomps off and lived

Regarding the build itself, I have no complaint other than you lose about 30-40% of your DPS; lower powr due to cav primary stat is toughness (roughly 100-150 if you use all cav trinkets), -15% crit damage from armor, another 10% from runes, and anywhere from 5-10% for lack of crits.

There is no point. He’s like 8 years old and tries to give my build to everyone, and acts like I claimed to be the best thief NA. I’m not I lose to d/p sometimes oh boy. He’s just being childish and ive never even fought the guy since hes on my server.. Absolutely pointless post.
