Thoughts on rarity and gold.

Gold isn’t hard to earn at all, provided we’re referring to actually normal values. With the exception of, say, ascended back items, and mystic forge skins, which are long term projects that go between 60 and 120 gold (Still totally sane values for long term projects) with the exception of anything that uses Charged Lodestones (Which DO need to be fixed). Most of these longer term goals take a proper amount of time for their reward (Jormag’s breath is a pretty awesome skin, and this keeps it rare).

If you’re doing open world stuff as you see fit, and waypointing everywhere, you’re going to lose money, this is kinda a given. That 1000g fast horse back in classic WoW was something you were NOT going to pay off in terms of earnings increase by having it either. If you’re doing open world stuff by wandering the zone, you will pay it off though. Sure, the earnings still aren’t ideal, but that’s more due to the markets for just about everything being flooded.

Dungeons on the other hand earn alot more money, but force people to work together.

If this was some sort of scheme to get people to buy gems to convert to gold, you’d think they’d give you anything approaching a decent gold return on gems. As it stands, working minimum wage and cashing in the money from that returns less than putting that same time into TA/CoE farms with good groups. What is happening is instead, the community showing what items it values, and what items it doesn’t. Which, as it turns out, is Zerks gear, and only Zerks gear.

It costs an obscene amount to be sure, but there are ways to make that much coin, or you can simply throw rares into the forge until you get it.

I wouldn’t generally disagree but the whole “farm gauntlets endlessly” system of making money in MMOs got old for most of us more than five years ago. It would be nice if a company could just figure out a way to let people build wealth consistently by playing the game instead of manipulating it all the time. A great example would be crafting. It sure would be nice if somebody could figure out a way to make crafting a viable and valuable part of an MMO, something I haven’t since done successfully since Ultima Online.[/quote]

Have to agree on the crafting part. But killsquads in places like Southsun can make steady cash by running Karka down in seconds. Again, not a solo affair, but you can pull in decent gold if you’ve got people buffing with swiftness for running betweeen karka. 5x axe/warhorn warriors is great for this. Powerful blood isn’t exactly cheap.

Material Synth is kinda the last bastion of crafting into money in this.

TA sucks. I’m not going back without a better machine and good groups. That place is frustrating without experienced members…

I farm AC, CM and would like to Farm CoE for the sexy armor set for female light classes.

Case. Point. TA is harsh, but pays a TON if you have a solid group.

So what about those players who want to be out and about in the world? What about those that like to farm gold on their own? Because no mater what anyone says its an actual 100% FACT that farming out in the world has been nurfed into the ground. And the reasoning behind it hold no water at all.

Solo farming? Southsun karka slaughter works if you’re a mesmer (Mimic pretty much instajibs them). Unid Dye farming from plants is an option, and if you know where to get the plants that have a high TP demand (There are ones that cost more than Omnoms), it’s a win win.

If you want to play completely alone, and save up a ton of money, well… why are you doing it completely alone anyway. Nothing waiting for you at the end if you have nobody to share it with. Even world farming goes much faster with a group.

Why should standing in one location mashing your keys to kill basic enemies be rewarded as much as teamplay in a more challenging environment like a dungeon?

The last bit made me chuckle. Dungeons a challanging enviroment? Mkay

And trying to imply you if someone likes to farm on their own means they play alone is kinda silly. I personally hate farming with others. I like to plod on at a steady pace while farming. But apprantly Im not allowed to because your on a timer for DR, thats if anything even drops before DR hits. People aint asking for a 1 kill = 1 t6 mat. They are asking for it to be reasonable. Ill say it again. if they dont want people farming. stop with the kittening stupid 250 t6 mats for sodding everything.

Ever done CoE/TA F/F? Yeah, those aren’t exactly easy. Why do you think Pugs avoid them?

Want it that bad? Synth the T6 mats from T5 mats. You can make ALOT of profit doing this at the right times, but it eats into skillpoints like no tomorrow. And you get skill points from everything.

The “solo farming” you’re talking about has proven time and time again to be to basically camp down atop one easy to kill mob type with a highly valuable drop, and mow them down. So, I ask again, why should sitting down, and fighting untold amounts of easy to kill enemies be worth a competitive amount to a series of challenging (by comparison if not on their own merit) boss fights and gauntlets that require five people, and for the truly valuable ones, skill and cordination to do right.

Eh, Personally, I don’t even see the appeal of Abyss dye. Why would you want to use something that actively removes your character’s armor details, or at least hides them.

Royal Rose/Harvest Gold/ Hot Pink/Lipstick here. Inexpensive, and looks awesome on my mesmer. I’ve seen TONS of other non-black dye combos that look great, and few, if any black ones that look good.

GW2 economy dont need to have DR. Anet does. The white knights trying to make out that its all tinfoil hat stuff just chat rubbish. Ya dont put into place DR to combat Bots, you just combat the bots without effecting the playerbase. Ever wonder why there are still bots hanging around so much even though Anet have supposedly a massive team stalking the servers trying to eradicate em?

Simple. Bots all gone = they lose their reasoning for DR. They need that reasoning so some people are blinded by the fact they are tryig to force you into flipping gems into gold. If they didnt want a farming game. Then stop with the stupid ammounts of t6 mats on items. Farming effects their gem sales hence why they nurfed it.

If they were nerfing farming, they wouldn’t have buffed all of my personal methods save one, which intersected with a bot wave.

And they buffed my methods MULTIPLE times, when I was already out earning other methods.

Well please. Educate us all on this magical system that Anet has buffed so you can pull gold out of thin air.

Twilight Arbor/CoE/AC.

Twilight Arbor gives about 1g per run coin drops + 1-3g in core/lodestone (you’re pretty much going to get a core every time, and lodestones aren’t rare) + any of the dungeon specific exotics (which have a MUCH higher drop rate than standard exotics, still low, but effectively 5% drop chance against 0.0001% drop chance). Add all that together, and a little luck is 5g in 20 min.

CoE. Charged Lodestone drops. Need I say more. Get a good group and farm, and you’ve got a good shot at charged core/lodestones.

AC. More gold dropping champion mobs than anywhere else. Full clearing it on path 2 alone has over half the fights containing a champion who drops coin. Bring Omnomberry bar, profit. Bonus points if you do an all kill run for the extra champions.

5g in 20 min with a good group(for TA). Not DR’d if you swap between dungeons.

I think it’s a small group of people who play any given game for the sheer “playing” of it. A rhythm game? Sure. A platformer? Sure.

But a game like this? I don’t think anyone wakes up, has breakfast, and then goes “You know what sounds like fun? Using 1-5 weapon skills and 1-5 utility skills on various enemies.”

I have no long term or short term goal, and still sign on to run the odd dungeon or try my hand at soloing some new champions, or run some WvW.

The intent is to get folks buying gems with real money and converting to gold. Farming has been nerfed.

This is misleading, farming got nerfed because of exploits and bots, not because players were legitimately earning too much and Anet wanted to force them into their wallets.

There has to be check and balances or the economy will fail.

I wished you people with your tin foil hat theories would stop with this drivel.

Wait so they punish honest players just to get their point across? Awesome thats such a great position to take.

Except honest players aren’t being punished. There are so many ways to make gold it’s a complete joke.

This. So much this. I don’t even put in effort, and I have over 300g earned on my character. I’ve never farmed anything.

Some easy methods for gold are Twilight Arbor and CoE lodestone selling. With a little luck, you make a ton of gold, but you need a group.

Game feels incredibly anti-melee.

To everyone going “Melee’s damage is worth the risk” or “Melee just gets you killed”…. Use both.

You have a melee weapon for mixing it up with the boss when your cooldowns are up, and you have spare health, to speed the fight along, and a ranged weapon for when your damaged and need to patch yourself up.

Swapping between melee/range is much more effective than pure melee or pure range, unless you’re EXTREMELY good at melee, AND have toughness/vit stacked.

Sword/Sword/Greatsword here, even after the nerfs.

As nice as the pistol stun is, I can’t begin to count how many time I’ve used Illusionary Riposte to completely screw someone up. It cancels into blurred frenzy with proper timing as well, so you can stance to block an oncoming CC, then go directly into blurred frenzy while they press their followup keys in vain.

Greatsword, specced right, is 9 vuln/6 might on a 4.8s cooldown, and obscenely effective in group play where an ally is running a melee DPS build, and great as a transition tool AND a poke in fights, that you can throw out constantly with no concern as to if they dodge or not. Everything else is really just icing on the cake really, as Mirror blade is so strong.

I admittedly don’t play alot of sPvP, because I’m stuck with gear stats I don’t want on the set I use in PvE/WvW, and can’t get the stats I do want.

Honestly, don’t even worry about legendaries. They’re not even worth the time. The people who actually have them sat down and farmed all day since release, for the most part. The obscene karma requirement means you’re better off just getting it piece by piece without any real rush, as the karma will rack up regardless. Same with the gold. Just knock off the parts you can, as you can, and you’ll get it eventually.

Really, if you absolutly want the most rookie friendly class, Ranger, or Guardian.

Difficulty is Ranger < Guardian < warrior < necro < engi < thief < ele < mesmer for PvE imo.

that all being said, pick based on what you like to play. Not based on class. Every class is good and fun, and can do most everything. They all have a drawback or two, but pick what you want to play, not what’s easiest.

There’s not really much to draw people there. You can make alot of money there with a team, sure, but there isn’t much reason to actually go outside of that. You also never really get told to go there no matter what you do.

I personally like it there, but don’t really do any world PvE at all.

Healing in GW2: How to.

in Guild Wars 2 Discussion

Posted by: AnemoneMeer.7182

AnemoneMeer.7182

Healing in the form of health refilling is the most uneffective form of defense in GW2, I wouldn’t push people to be full healers and therefore being carried in dungeons.
No high-end team will take a person who focuses on spamming green numbers and nothing else.

A support thief based on blinds/stealths/screen for instance negates a ton more damage than any healbot could ever dream of – and this while still doing heaploads of damage.

Please play GW2 as it is meant to be played when you are with others.

You’re assuming they don’t attack the enemy.

A heal warrior is in melee with a greatsword using 100b or an axe and using Evis, the entire time.

A heal guardian is using mace in melee, the entire time.

A heal engineer is in melee, spamming bombs.

A heal mesmer has three phantasmal duelists out.

They do damage as is, they can take CC tools as well. But they also use a build that keeps the healthbars of allies up. Shouts can be used mid attack. Mantras don’t stop your phantasms from firing. Bombs do damage as well as heal.

Please stop thinking it means playing a WoW healing priest where you stand back, and do not attack the enemy at all for fear of aggro.

Thief healing is best done through venomancer/stealth healing.

You’re looking at a 30/0/30/10/0 build:
http://www.gw2build.com/builds/simulator.php#1.7.3.10.20.0.0.0.0.0.154.157.158.159.178.0.0.0.454.458.462.0.0.0.483.489.492.498.0.0.0.0.0.30.0.30.10.0

With high healing power and power equipment to fully boost leeching venoms to absurd levels.

Used correctly by staggering your venom use, you can make every hit for everyone near you heal for 400 for the next 16 attacks. On a 30 second cycle.

For emergency healing fire down black powder shot then switch to shortbow and use an unfragmented clusterbomb in the black powder field for AoE stealth that will apply regen to everyone it hits.

Wow, I stand at least partially corrected. That’s not bad at all. Over 6k healed over time before regen. Not quite as good as some of the others, but still not bad at all.

People don’t say it because there are no classes with healing abilites.
They say it because your healing for roughly 2k and being hit for 15-20k in the same amount of time.
Sure it helps survivability while leveling, and sometimes in some of the minor fights in dungeons. But most of the longer fights (the ones where healing should actually matter) it doesn’t come anywhere near keeping up with the damage output.

So you just pray that your buggy dodge doesn’t fail or that you don’t get a root/charge/mega bomb combo to your face while your 30+sec cooldown cond removal is on cooldown because of condition spamming mobs. Or that the mobs don’t have some lame 10+ second flame thrower ability that can’t be dodged. Or some Lame knockdown spam they have that says you block but you still end up on your kitten for 5-10secs….. or any of the other hundred mechanics they gave bosses that seem to be immune to every ability we have.

Most people don’t have anywhere near 20k health, and can survive decently fine. If you mix healing (and it’s alot more than 2k in practice, trust me. Guardian can rack up about 300hp/second before mace/focus burst heals even come into play, or any regen buffs) and damage, you get a much better result. Warrior can burst heal the group for 45k total, in under a second, as I stated. Again, factoring for the entire group, but that is almost 100% of a thief/guardians lifebar, and more than half of anyone with medium health. Instantly. On a 20s cooldown or less. Without stopping to do it.

Trust me, if you actually build a proper combat medic, you will see and feel the results. 5 combat medic warriors can all press just one shout, and gain a ton of might, fury, and heal to full instantly.

As for the idea of just CCing 5 combat medic warriors, Shake it off instantly goes through your CC, and they’re all back to full.

There is nothing and never has been anything wrong with the “holy trinity.” The holy trinity has more variety than the auto attack, auto attack and auto attack GW2 combat.

The only reason dedicated healers aren’t in GW2 is because they lacked the skill to implement them into the flawed solo combat system.

So yeah people can go water ele, or some other useless sub-par “healing” build, but I’d kick them from my group in a heartbeat.

Spam dodge + 6 and you stay alive. Takes so much skill.

The funny thing is it really isn’t sub par at all. A guardian healer is sitting on the enemy, doing damage while flooding the area around him with healing, allowing people to go into melee and regenerate faster than they are being damaged, as long as they have decent armor. I personally have a friend I take with me to most every group who runs a heal guardian. As a mesmer in knights gear, I’m usually topped off between hits from all the healing he performs.

Likewise, I have another friend who runs a heal warrior, with a greatsword/hammer combo. He’s not even specced for healing power, and we can still feel those heals, and he kills things quite quick as well. Both of them are consistant fountains of healing who spend their time in melee killing things with the bonus damage from being in melee while keeping the rest of the group in melee, doing bonus damage from being in melee, and largely removing the need to rez people.

Mantra mesmer is a bit more iffy, but it’s still deploying 3x phantasmal duelist, which is good damage. It can still work though and pulses a good amount of healing every time MoP is charged.

Bomb engineer I don’t know too much about, but I do know it stays close to the enemy, and heals with every attack it performs.

I honestly don’t know enough about water Ele, but I’ve played with a few water healers who really helped the group.

Group regen is nice, and the stealth is nice, but that’s more of a resurrector perk than anything. They can’t output a decent amount of burst healing, and can’t spec to do more than regen, so I left them off the list.

Ugh, no. They frustrated the kitten out of me in GW1. They could never come close to a decent human player, and you had to babysit them far too much. It was like playing a strat game at times.

When ANet releases an actually decent LFG tool (and hopefully very soon) then things will start going a lot better.

P.S. A good LFG tool should actually be priority at this stage. I’m not sure the developers realize how frustrated players are at the present and will do FotM a lot of good. Why not look over at GW1, it actually had a pretty good LFG tool, and GW2 not having at least the same one implemented at launch is confounding.

Personally, I think not having them play on par with a human player is a good thing. They could be there for solo running dungeons, at the cost of being much less effective. Solo players get their dungeon stuff done, groups of players still blatantly the better option 99% of the time.

I can’t say it’s needed. But when your entire party is on low health, stack up around a water field and use a few blast finishers to bring everyone to full health it is quite nice.

They can bring a few advatages sometimes(like the one listed above), but they are often very situational.

I wouldn’t say area might, area healing, lifesteal, retaliation, or any of the other particularly potent field benefits are ever situational. Some of them are already insane (fire and water fields).

Chaos armoring myself and my minions through null field. Time warp whirlspam is pretty much 25 stacks of confusion before the enemy army can blink in WvW, but you need a few people with reliable whirl skills.

Each class may only have a few, but they’re still plenty useful in the right hands. I’d kill for a constant fire field blast finisher spam in dungeons. Adding more would just make them insanely overpowered. You can already beat a fire field like a drum for 25 stacks of might.

Due to constantly seeing posts on the forums about how you can’t play a support/healer, or the game hates you for it, or GW2 is all about the damage, etc, I decided to give a basic overview of some -healer- roles that actually work in the game.

There are 5 classes that can do a full on healer role. The warrior, guardian, mesmer, engineer, and elementalist.

Warrior: Shouts build, focused on making shouts heal and purge conditions via traits and runes. You are a rapid burst heal or sustained heal fighter, packing a group rez if needed, while plinking away with a rifle, or getting directly into combat with a greatsword, hammer, or what have you. You use Soldier runes, with the shout grand master trait in tactics that makes you heal on every shout. Mix in a full defense trait set as well, and clerics gear, and you’re an endless fountain of health, for yourself, and for your allies, while constantly buffing, and constantly fighting.

Guardian. Mace/focus. 30 points in honor. Superior sigil of water. With clerics gear and a little crit on the side, you are an AoE heal aura at all times, that deploys an AoE healing field, while healing on every third auto attack, and being able to shoot out a bouncing beam of healing. All before any regen boons.

Mesmer. Mantra gatling gun. Mantra of pain, specced to give your phantasms AoE regen. Sword/pistol. deploy duelists while burning mantra of pain charges, and using your utilities and elites to shift the fight between mantra charges as well. Constant, albeit slightly slow to come out (no cooldown though, basically a healing pulse every 5.3 seconds) healing, with regen atop it. Destroys your DPS sadly, but mesmer is a utility class anyway.

Engineer. Bombs heal allies. Medkit. bomb kit. supply drop. go nuts with healing spam. Don’t know enough to say more.

Elementalist. Water builds spam healing as well. I’ve seen it done well, but I don’t know enough myself.

This case they boosted the healing system with a new set. So now the healing is really boosted. An join this with an guardian support/bunker spec, just use some DPS (glass canon) and you will have the trinity again.

In a game of NO TRINITY. Yeah, they realized that it´s more fast profitable to just make this another TABULA RASA, they close the game at same point and will not give a kitten because if you paid something they send you a mail telling that you will give a discount in theyr new GENERIC MMO.

Sorry if I´m ranting, but now I see the direction of ANET in this game.

P.S… another thing to say City of Heroes…

Honestly, I’m glad for the givers set. It really buffs warrior supports and other unconventional supports, making it a better option.

As I already said, 5/8 classes can go pure healer, or semi-pure healer builds and legitimately make them work, while sttill contributing on the offensive side. It never left the game, this is just a bonus for those who like that playstyle.

GW2 depth of combat discussion?

It really depends on the class and setup honestly. As a mesmer main, I tend to go on auto pilot when I have to AoE (Sword, auto attack spam, blurred frenzy when it’s up. two rolls into leap to quickly shatter bomb. Mesmer AoE is terrible and mindless)

Actual battles as a mesmer on the other hand, with me taking illusion of life in teamplay, are typically chaotic, and transition styles and tactics based on the flow of battle constantly.

It’s deep when it wants to be, but honestly, some of the classes have moments where auto attacking is your best bet.

Healing never left the game, you just need to know where to look.

Warriors can burst heal or sustain heal like monsters if specced right. Guardians and elementalists are fountains of health if specced right. Engineers can play healer in a pinch as well. Mesmers can go into a healing spec.

5/8 classes can go into some sort of dedicated/semi dedicated healer role. Compared to most MMO’s GW2 actually has MORE healers.

To be precise. Warrior can go for Shouts heal + banner regen, and take 3 shouts + warbanner, bursting out near 9k heals for the entire party (party of 5 = 45k healing in 1 second). while buffing their attack damage and clearing conditions.

Guardian uses Mace/Focus along with healing traits to generate constant regen, atop regen, atop a third regen, that all stack, with a little burst heal on the side from focus. You have your auto attacks healing + sigil healing + floor sigil healing + passive healing. And all of that stacks with regen boons.

Mesmer uses a mantra gatling gun build with sword pistol, charging mantras to pulse healing while deploying duelists who set off AoE regen while expending mantra charges. Unlike warrior, it’s a slower burn but more stable healing spam that doesn’tt eat all your utility slots.

Engineer uses medkit, healing turret, supply drop, and bomb kit specced for bombs healing. You drop medkits around, then start dropping bombs to pulse AoE healing. Pretty complex, but lots of benefits to it.

Elementalist. Water. You are now a hose of life.

Frostgorge sound and Southsun Cove are much better than Orr honestly. Southsun being tough as nails single target combat with space to move, and forstgorge being a much more casual zone as a whole.

Plinx needed the nerf. Most of the farming methods I see people comapling about being nerfed are methods where you do one thing endlessly on auto pilot. Dungeons have recieved buff after buff on top of paying out many time more gold to begin with.

Fractals is a gear grind pain, sure, but the actual increase is pretty minimal, and you can get the back item pretty easily with a little luck (I had it by the time I reached rank 4, but I’m not able to speak for everyone). They said its a mistake, and will hopefully eventually fix it.

Personally, I just log in to have fun running dungeons, events, WvW when my server is fielding troops. No real care for progress. I could have had a legendary if I worked for it, but I’ve just been getting skins and gear as I go, at my own pace.

I would like to request a tiara =)

I second the motion. A tiara would give me reason to show headgear, and break out the love potions again.

Or you can exchange gold for gems. If you put in the effort at level 80, you can make over 5g a day… and that’s on the low end of the scale. It doesn’t take overly long to earn it in game.

Bumping, with a correction.

Since the price on Armored Scale has basically tanked (22s to 6-7s), Southsun farming has lost alot of its profit margin. The karka still pay well, but DR is in play if you farm just them.

There’s still profit to be made, but part of what made it so effective (Karka, to drake, to underwater sharks, to karka) lost two thirds of it’s targets value.

You can already heal like mad as a shout warrior, water specced ele, mace focus guardian, bomb engi, or mantra mesmer. 5/8 healer classes is greater than most MMO’s in fact.

You can? Can’t say i have noticed. The numbers just don’t add up for that. Perhaps they can if the player runs in circles all the time, but then it is the circle running, not the healing, that is the deciding factor.

Likewise, there’s plenty of ways to pseudo tank if you understand how aggro works in the game.

Do anyone actually know how the aggro works? Sure, we have some vague pointers in the wiki. But the mobs seems apt at violating those points over the slightest change in group setup.

For healing. Mantra mesmer is a few thousand every 5 or 6 seconds. Reliable, but not that great.

Shout warrior can throw 10k into everyone’s healthbars in a burst of healing.

and guardian can sustain healing forever.

Likewise, for aggro, if one perosn slaps the boss and runs it out of sight of everyone else, it tends to stay on the person who hit it.

Increasing one’s gold income rate is all fine and well if you’re just using it for fixed game stuff like wp costs, repairs, respecs, etc…. but all this does is make T5/T6 mats, gems, and other stuff more expensive since all gold making will do (without any mat farmers) is inflate the prices. If everyone is farming TA, I suppose the price of onyx cores/lodestones would eventually go down which would make a lot of folks seeking Predator happy.

At which point I suggest CoE and farming it, as the risk/reward will have shifted in its favor.

When that gets worn down, I thank the community for making lodestones available to all.

Apparently I’m one of those 10% then. And I don’t even play a ton.

Trust me, you put your effort in the right places, and you can get a ton of money pretty easily and quickly.

Option 1 of OP post is pointless at the moment with the Loot droprate bug and it being made worse with Magic find.

Option 5 I have tried and got nothing but shells and crab meat from karka’s.

Option 6, loot drop rate bug means I get hardly anything from the pre-events.

That leaves the 3 dungeons options …. not my cup of tea …

You are better off leveling your characters to 80 and taking each one around and harvesting ori, ancient wood and omnomberries. make sure you are full up on them and sell excess on TP.

Nope. It’s not. You’re not using the Omnomberry bar for the Magic Find. It gives 40% gold gain. In AC and TA, you’ll be dealing with alot of coin drops. The omnomberry bar will pay for itself and then some.

Bugs are just that, bugs. And truth be told, I hadn’t heard about this bug. I don’t run magic find gear though, so that might be why.

The money you make from a full harvest run relative to time, as opposed to a killsquad in Southsun (Factoring for the rich Ori node), is pretty signinficantly less. I’ve done both.

but he said it was divided, so in fact this is worst than original MMO’s RNG’s where you actually get to vote on good drops and share amongst yourselves evenly.

No. It means you get full loot. If they kill it as well, the game counts it as two kills, with two loots, each player getting one kill’s worth. If three kill one target, the game counts it as killing three, etc.

And gamblers fallacy means that they’re not stealing from you, as each loot roll is independant of other loot rolls.

So because i have no friends i get discriminated against thus i get handicapped compared to others who have friends, i thought this game didn’t give any advantage over others and that it would also cater to solo players like myself?

Welcome to the wide world of Massively Multiplayer Online RPG’s, where guilds complete raids as a team. Groups complete dungeons as a team. Goals are worked on by groups of people. And there are thousands of people on at any given time.

If you’re looking for a game that doesn’t discriminate against those who refuse to chat with others, might I suggest Skyrim. You can skip all that chat, and do whatever you want to whoever you want. With nobody stealing your precursors by being in your group.

Groups of friends working together, instead of just groups, come with the benefit of people sharing with eachother as well, which can speed things up for everyone.

Friend gets a powerful blood, you get an armored scale, the two of you swap instead of selling on the TP and losing out due to the 15% tax. Atop faster kills and everything else, it really helps you make a profit.

Wow it’s 15% tax now, use to be 10%, that coupled with the drop nerf poor little Timmy and Billy won’t be trading powerful blood/Armored Scales anymore, they’ll be trading each other broken armour because reapair bills/teleporting will be too expensive.

It was 15% at release too. Nice attempt, poor followthrough. Your earlier attempts at least relied on ignoring things such as the gamblers fallacy, and can be argued (and proven false due to how RNG seeds work). This is simply relying on willful denial of facts.

5% listing fee. 10% sale fee. Was this way in beta weekend 1 too, so it hasn’t been changed since pre-release.

No one even does old content in WoW, so if you only consider the new content they produce, it’s not that much.

Levelling and transmog sees most of the old content get some form of activity.

Now sit back and wath the TP price on omnomberry bars skyrocket. Gz on 400 in cooking btw)

Almost every pug dungeon group I’ve ever done had 5 people rolling Omnomberry bars.

They get consumed like mad already. Why they cost over a silver a pop as is.

Why did you buy the game? Stay in touch with that and don’t let what people type in forums influence your experience. You may have heard the expression, “Don’t believe everything you hear on TV.” That goes triple for what you read on the internet.

Especially when it comes out the dev’s mouth

lmao ouch.

So true though.

@OP, it’s not a bad game exactly, you will get your $60 if you enjoy leveling characters at the very least.

However if you want an MMO that you will play for an extensive period of time there are far better ones out there.

This game was designed with players constantly dropping in and out.

It is PvE oriented like WoW but far less polished, balanced and a lot less content; you don’t pay a monthly fee and it shows.

WoW has 7+ years of live polish. Anything at all trying to compete with that in sheer content/polish is going to lose due to timegap alone.
