I will never play a “Holy Trinity” game again. I hatted waiting for a healer in GW1 and then hear the group blame them for an even failure.

I do enjoy making my own fate and taking responsibility for how an event turns out. Even soloing impossible odds.

In Fantasy how many heroes needed a a dps, and healer to make them a hero and save the day?

Masquerade Armor is very easy to craft in PVE. So why not just make it there and when the April patch hits you will have it done automatically.

Noob PVP player ( Deer) here.

I have never crafted any PVP gear, but savaged doubles of the PVP stuff I have acquired.
Since there will be some changes with the April update, should I be crafting anything?

What do I need to do in PVP before the updates so I do not lose out on anything?

OK I bought a skin and used it for a PVE character. The new Wardrobe will let me put that skin on another character’s PVE weapon.

My question is, will I be able to put that same skin on a PVP characters weapon (since I originally declared the skin as a PVE)?

On the other side why would Anet put the Marjory Dagger skin for sale just hours before this announcement? They could have sold a non-skin item.

I have said form the beginning that Anet should have had account skins like in GW1. And am thankful that they finally saw the light.

On the other hand I have spent hundred of dollars on BLT company items and will feel very betrayed if I do not get some sort of compensation. It just is not fair that my costume and weapons skins will cost double or in one case EIGHT TIMES the cost that others will pay now.

I sent in a refund request and suggest we band together and everyone do the same. If you had not bought multiple skins it might be nice for you guys to support us, even with your poses here.

But they put an item on sale knowing that in eight hours it would be useless if you bought two of them like I did! They could have put a limit on them. Also this topic was not covered in the next days news. More over they could have sold a non skin item.

I have like 8 pirate costumes, one is still unopened. If there is no refund then if is like we are being punished for supporting Anet and getting more than one. I would even except gems or other costumes.

I LOVE the idea for the new Wardrobe! I have been saying they needed this from the beginning. GW1 had that great costume vender, and different skins have been clogging up my inventory.

That said I do have a concern. I have bought the Pirate Town clothes for many (maybe 8?) of my characters. How will that be handled? It seems unfair that people that did not buy the pirate (or any outfits) will now get the outfit for all their characters for a one time purchase, when I had to buy them separately for all of mine.

So I am wondering how Anet handle this so that people that paid money and supported them will not be punished for buying duplicate outfits.

I also have an unopened Pirate Outfit Towns Outfit in storage. What should I do with that?

Guild Wars 2: “No monthly fee”, “Free to play”, I am confused.

We have played as a very small guild since GW1 started. The one thing we really miss in GW2 is playing PVP against each other. Hence we have never tired PVP because of the learning curve, and getting stomped by experienced players.

I see that you can buy a Custom Arena Starter Kit for 1600 gems a month!!!!
Why so expensive, or even any expense at all?

Just curious why ANet would take away such a nice feature that existed in GW1?

So I am guessing that you use the flamewall to shoot though, or drop on top of your foe? But how does Burning Speed work with that or do you trigger it after Flamewall dies? you don;t roll though it, do you? Also why the rush to attune to air?

Finally I LET 3 level 11 Arctodus beat me up pretty well ( I was L80), and while being surrounded I hit Arcane Brilliance and got almost no healing at all. So still confused on how to get this to work

Initial testing seems VERY Squishy when playing solo. What am I missing?

Oh and how do you exactly use the Flame Wall, Bursting Speed combo? I am a little confused about its synergy

Though I need massive work on the Cloak and Dagger, then steal technique. I am doing just as the hand goes back but only end up being invisible 20% of the time. So going to practice, practice, practice.

I really need skill rotation and brief guide. Some of the videos move so fast it is hard to see what they are really doing without a voice over.

NOTE: I see a lot of thieves steal before they back stab. Why is that?

I have been building up my thief but still not comfortable playing the class. I have mostly been in PVE because WVW scares me since I am so weak playing it.

I need advice on playing a thief mostly, but especially skill rotation and how to pull off a backstab. I seem to never get it in PVE. Also any other good advice for the thief would be most welcome.

Think we did read it. If you didn’t know if people are farming events that equals saving citizens so your post are invalid.

I see them pass up civilians, run though an areas I am trying to res civilians adding to my agro, and I have never seen a farming zerg stop to res.

Farm all you want. But why do you get rewarded for not saving citizens?

Don’t even start about AFK after ten minutes of no activity (RL situations) they should be kicked.

So when Scarlet was attacking Tyria a few worked hard while farmers got rich, plus received the reward for our labors. Now again, we save LA’s citizens while farmers get rich and still get bags for the people we rescued. But we do not get rewards for their events!

Look if you want to farm please do, but ANET needs to set a limit on future content. It is not fair they farmers get rewards for our works.

I went in with an ALT character and can not open chests. Did they still not fix the empty chests, or do I need to go with the original charterer that unlocked Scarlet’s lair?

I crafted a single Spool of Thick Elonian Cord. No problem. I needed more material and jumped to another server to get some. When I came back I switched to another character in my own server and now saw:

Spool of Thick Elonian Cord (Asended) (14) (Spelled Asended wrong on purpose)

But my Craft Button, and Craft All ¹⁴ are grayed out. All my other item that have a number like (5) in them have the Craft buttons lit?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

After update chests are still not back, so don’t waste you time this patch.

Feel very deceived by Anet’s saying that the lair would be left open.
Besides on other events you could cash in for a while after the event closed.

Is this an early Aprils fools joke on the people that pay for a game?

I was going to make a final sell at Scarlet’s Secret Lair and I I can not redeem my stuff.
They usually give you some time after the event closes. But all the stations are dead.

Is this a mistake? Or did they really end the lair a day after the event. Doesn’t seem fair.

If you look at my Inventions, and Alchemy it give a nice punch to the offense.

I have been playing duel pistols engineer and kind of like that. So a condition/percision build suits me well.

That said, is there a a superior PVE Engineer build that you can suggest?

Got runes back with cheaper Black Lion Salvage Kits.
Lesson learned.

I crafted an exotic set of armor for a character. While it was in inventory I mistakenly added a set of expensive (sup rune of Traveler) runes to it. I didn’t realize that it would soulbind it to the crafting character. I thought I had to put it on.

Is there nay way to salvage (or partially salvage) my mistake? Any ideas would be most helpful.

Was there a way to transmutate with another item?

One Question:
Why is Acrobatics : Decent of Shadows any good?
Is that for escaping off cliffs? Not sure about the Blinding power part either

I play every profession (some better than others), except the Thief. I have a Thief but just can not get my head wrapped around the profession. So I waited till after the update to ask these questions:

Q1: What do Thieves excel at? PVE, Dungeons, PVP, WVW, Fractals?

Q2: Can I get a link to a good build with a notation on which Q1 it pertains to?

No because no one gets to see a mod but the creator. But you can show off the end game items to everyone. Also you can not make a high end special effect unless you work for that weapon, and then make say color changes. So you can not make a legendary weapon even for just you to see.

So many other games let you mod graphics for personal enjoyment, some even design editors to help you do it.

Never mind the fact I’m totally against increased loading times do to the sheer unknown of whatever someone else has done.

My mods do not effect your load times at all unless 1) I give you my mod, and 2) you use it.

1. Optimize the game. I have a quad core that drops to 3 frames per second for dragons because I have an AMD chip and not intel.

2. Make ascend weapons reachable. Unless you forgot about the no grind to get equipment. So grinders now have better equipment than average players.

3. Let us texture mod for PVE. It is fun and artistic. I loved that GW lets us do it.

4. Make at least 1 fun dungeon. It seem like you need to know secrets and special tricks to get though them. My group would like a fun dungeon to just battle though.

5. Put Teq back to the old way. My group does not even try to do him any more.

6. Stop bi-Weekly Living Story for Halloween and Wintersday. Lets us enjoy the seasonal event.

7. Get a better costume and outfit designer. Most of the costumes for females look like slghitly modified male outfits. GW! had great costumes. In real life, designers make outfits for men and woman different.

8. ( I know this was 7 but…) Add a second or third costume slot! Unless you want us to stop buying them for lack of space. Star Trek Online GIVE players 3 costume and duty slots for free.

Let start out saying that I absolutely, I definitely agree with advantageous mods being banned.

But why not let us alter the look of the game in PVE? So many other games let you mod the graphics to make it more fun. I like it for the sheer art or creative side. Imagine making a birthday sign in a town for a guild member. Or your own custom shield design? (For those that do not mod only you see this or other with your mod patch). GW1 let us do it, why not 2?

In my option PVE graphic modding would just make the game more fun, and to cover all bases, stop it from working in PVP and WoW.

Last thought:
Other games let you do graphic mods, some even give us programs to make it easier. Why not let players enjoy all aspects of the game, instead of moving on to games that do?
