Did Joe Schmoe get the past 2 years of free gametime and all the memories you may have gotten? This isn’t an Apples to Apples comparison. Joe Schmoe missed out on Season 1 and has to pay for Season 2.

But we paid for the past 2 years and are upset that Joe Schmoe will now get for free. He can still play the 2 years out.

We supported Anet with hundreds of dollars in Gems that Joe Schmoe did not.

Anet could have tosses us a bone with a $10 price break and a character slot saying “Thanks for the support guys” but they didn’t. they treat us like new players.

So if the new players get the core game for free. Why don’t the veteran players get the 4 character slots as ballance?

Strangely Star Trek Online is 100% free. You never need to spend a dime and and can have max gear. Last month I spent $120 on just fun stuff in Star Trek.

Agreed. I just bought a second account 2 months ago to get ready for HOT.

It is now the next day and I have read a lot of post and had time to think. In the process I have had time to research and actually talk to people playing other MMORPG’s

It seem that the roll out of HOT is actually typical for most other games.

Look, we had a lot of fun moving from GW1 to Gw2. Anet gave the veteran players a reward for sticking with them and moving on to the new version.
So when the roll out for HOT came out the players were crushed. They expected an similar experience from the past. They were treated in both pricing and perks like they were new customers and not people that helped Anet prosper.
In my opinion if they would have included a character slot and made a $10 cheaper upgrade (price of the last sale) they would have been heroes now.

After all is said and done it is Anet’s call on how they want to roll out a new game. If ANET want to be like all the other games that show no connection to their player base then they just become like all the other games.

You can all the pretty graphics in the world but you do not connect with you base, they will not connect with you.

One of the selling points for HOT is the Mordremoth’s Bane Guild Hall Decoration. My question is can all guild members us that in the same guild hall? I hope so or the extra perk will not be very useful.

Moving form GW1 to GW2 was fun. Anet rewarded loyal players with lots of fun skins and made the transition a joyful experience.

Anet has lost touch with its base in a massive money grab. Since when does an expansion cost more than the original game?

Plus lets give new plays 4 more expansion slots! Slap in the face to loyal players.

The transition from GW1 to 2 was fun. Loyal players were rewarded with with lots of cool weapons and costumes for moving to GW2

Now Anet wants to charges us MORE than we paid for the core game and give brand new players more 4 more character slots! Plus for the same price more game.

Anet do you read the forums? Do you care about your Loyal Player any more?

The expansion costs more than the game itself. We are literally paying MORE for LESS.

As a player since GW1 I am not buying HOT until we see some resolve.
I would be happy with a $10 price reduction for current players and an extra character slot.

If Anet wants Loyal players to stay they need to show it.

Sorry, but your request is not what you need.
Combos and rotations are fluid on engineer and basically we respond to the situation at hand, which means that fixed skill-combos and rotations will lead into dead ends more often than not.
The meta-battle article already shows you most of the possible combos, but when it comes to using them in the right moment, and how to combo what, the only thing that will help you is training, training and more training.

Wow was that ever not helpful!
For example you might have said Heal combo that I posted is a good in a healing. I am sure there are general opening combos, spiking, etc.
The video runs too fast to understand what they are doing for a noob to see what is happening.

Though if this the the position that the board has I guess I just keep my engineer out of WvW.

I have a nice eng PVE build (no kits) that well works and even in groups in WVW. But sorely lacking against 1 on 1 WvW roaming. So I found this build and watched the videos.

The Hobo Sack looks even worst on the females. Imagine buying the hottest outfit you can afford and get stuck with that ugly back sack!

I saw Anet toss around the idea of a fanny pack, with would be an improvement, but still a fanny pack? Please not the flag! Not the flag!

I used to be able to see the mini map. what changed? also I am constantly have to zoom into it, as ti does not stay put.

Worst is, it is really hard to see and find gathering items, and some mapping is points are just invisible.

Why does the Daydreamer’s Finery Outfit Look different form BLTC/Home Promotional picture? I kind of like the tights more than the ratty skirt. Top is closer but again the Promotional pic looks tighter and nicer.

I did some research on “Diminishing Returns in effect”. and guess that could be the answer, but need to test this more with my character at Shatter’s location.

I really should not have to move character around, it’s one of the reasons they sell extra slots. Right? Though I will try your advise and report back.

Oh so they do not need to switch server to earn us guild points? Please confirm that.

I have characters parked at different dragons and Shatterer has had a bug since day one that I do not get the side or ground chest even though I succeed in achieving the Gold success. I do have a L80 character with high end weapon and even tried to switch out character but still do not get the chests 25% of the time. Another guild member also seems to have the same problem with Shatter and another boss which works find for me.

I have reported this issue as a bug report 100? (maybe more) times and still I do not get consistent rewards for Shatterer. * This game is NOT fun when you spend fifteen minutes every day and receive nothing in return! *

Why can’t Anet look into this after 3 years of requesting? Or at least replay?

We are a small guild but recently had a few friends show interest in playing Guild Wars 2. When checking out server the said it was full but wanted to still Join our guild and help.
I understand they they can not join us in WvW, but how does this effect guild points otherwise?

Do they need to Guest our server ever time they log on or switch a character? That could really get tiring. Or will the Super Server give us points for the guild just because we are playing together?

We are VERY small and any info on Guild points would be greatly appreciated.

Honestly people want the Super Adventure Box. So it comes down to one fact. Anet does not care about what it users want. Period.

I would not kill them to bring it up 1 week a year in April but they choose not to.

I have a new player that wants to join our guild. While they are already L6 on another server they wanted to join Sea of Sorrows to contribute to our guild.

They have no problem deleting there character to start again, but told me that SOS was full. I am not sure if they just tried to guest SOS or tried to start a new character here. And if they tried to start a new character not sure if they deleted the old one before trying to switch servers. They are confused so it is difficult to help them.

My question is. How do I find out if a server will not let a new player Join?

for skill balancing, it is almost 100% pvp related. And they are horrible at that.

Because they refuse to seperate pvp and pve balancing, like they did in gw1. As long as pvp and pve balance isn’t seperated, we will never even get close to balance.

But why will they not separate PVP vs PVE balancing? You would think it would make their life easier. Lack of solid condition damage in PVE really effect my enjoyment and variety of builds.
I would so like to see condition build work in PVE.

Kind of lame for anet to puts things under a tract that do not count for its completion.

I have completed 9 Wintersday Festive events but it is only counting 8. the issue is with the Bells of Wintersday. Since it is repeatable it never counted in the total.

I need 1 Mist Stone (15 Pristine Fractal Relics):

I have never played Fractals and that is what has stopped me from ever finishing my Maudry Backpack. No one in our tiny guild has ever done it so I need some advice.

I really don’t plan on doing Fractal after I get the piece so limited investment would be good.

What I have:
I have a number of characters with Exotic gear and Ascend toys,and solid builds, though none have Agony Resistance. I have read that you only need that at level ten and higher.

So my questions are:
How many people do you need in a party?
What are good classes?
How hard is it to get 1 Mist Stone (15 Pristine Fractal Relics) for a party of noobs?
Any suggestions on areas, paths, strategies, tutorials?

Any help would be greatly appreciated. I just fear spending all night in the Fractals without accomplishing anything.

The Mad king event was so much more fun in GW1 and our guild will spend a night or two back there. In general seasonal celebration were more fun in GW1. Last year was really a TRICK form Anet when they introduced a new non-Halloween story arc in the middle of the mad king celebration and it became impossible to do the labyrinth and other Halloween events.

GOOD news this year they brought back the Raiment of the Lich costume form GW1. Thank you thank you thank you!

My only thought after playing for ~three hours every night for over two years and not getting a prer-cursor is that Anet dropped that ball on this item.
Look, this is just a game not a job or life choice. I am not saying that I should have a Legendary, but at least a per-cursor!

The idea of dumping tones of items (real time to get) into a tub to get a Legendary by luck is so NOT LEGENDARY. Anet is way out of touch on this topic, and with no change in policy after two years makes it even more so.

Why are there two Elegant Backpacks at the top of the list? They are bothare L78 and look the same.

Other games have very cool bases and halls. why does Anet want is to have one?

Customization: Some games will even add floors and furniture. Let us get creative and really build a home to be with members.

Play Time: We used to love battling our own guild members in GW1. Please bring that back.

Functionality: Banks, Crafting, Portals. We want a hub to move though out the world. this would greatly help lag. so we don;t crowd LA to craft.

Lastly a fun location for guild member to chat, Role Play, and be Social. I would dearly like more fun, sexy costumes to role play with. so add tables, chairs and lots of toys (BUY) to play with.

…but what good are the backpacks? Just like an normal back brace armor?

I am kind of confused on how to use the crafting backpacks or what they are used for. All I saw was “Using this as a crafting ingredient will destroy any upgrades held within” which seemed worrisome.

I thought I saw some were it was possible to craft a legendary, not by the usual method of finding a pre-cursor, or dumping stuff in the mystic forge. If it possible or just on the drawing table?
