I understood what you meant, thank you.

Currently, there is no reward from having all areas completed in the Explorer achievement tab, whereas chasing the last ones is not that easy, for the casual player.

This tab has no other title that Dungeon Master, so I still think they serve differents purposes, as you can have ‘Been There, done that’ with a lot of areas not fully explored.

Hi there,

Actually there is no title attached to the map exploration (and exploration only).
I’m not talking about ‘Been There, done that’ title, which is not the same thing.

An ‘Explorer’ title would be great, for roleplayers, linked to the full exploration of Kryta, Maguuma, Orr, Shiverpeaks, and Ascalon.

Because those exploration success already exist, the implemention could be fairly simple

Perfect Inscriptions not fixed !

So the Dev team had a look on Perfect Inscription – Guardian trait XII, on this patch, to fix the CD effect, but there is still a major bug :

Passive effects of Signets seem not affected by the trait. Tooltip, Paperdoll, buff icon and weapon tooltips show no increase with the trait XII active.

As Devs had a look on this one to change the CD effect, it could be good to make it a working trait also ?

It’s been 8 months now.

It’s a more general subject, I think.

Armor scale on your model size, of course, but not weapons. It scales only by race.

Try to make a female Norn of the minimum size available, then equip a great sword.
It’s clearly oversized.

It could be easy to scale weapon model down or up with a cursor in the Hero Menu (IE : Small, Standard, Large), or at least make the weapon scale with the chosen size of the character.

More Diadem-like options for Heavy Armor

Hi there,

Currently the HoM Icelord’s Heavy Diadem is one of the few heavy helms (if any ?) that let the hair of your character appear when showing it.

Unfortunately, Icelord’s one cannot be Dyed.
So if your armor have a color scheme that’s not light blue, or 24 points in HoM, you’re a bit screwed.
For those who don’t like the head shaved effect of other helms, there is very little options, for now. Aside from not displaying the helm at all, of course…

Could Arena create more Diadem like heavy helms (Dyeable, if possible), in the coming releases ?

We had a roleplay event recently in Orr, in a Cathedral.
Although the place was very dangerous, people there found some ancient inscriptions, and as the DM, I needed to know if they could be written in Orrian, so it’s definitely helpful !

Yeah, this kind of requirement shouldn’t be needed for this feature, as it would remain private to the team. A gold cost should be fine.
I think the implementation could be fairly easy, but the game would benefit a lot from this. Please vote for the idea, if you wish to make it visible for Anet

A sample description :

“Once enabled, the player can invite Groups into a Team via the party UI.
The Captain status is displayed as a yellow shield icon on maps, only visible to those invited into the Team.

The Team limit is 20 people, and up to four Groups may join it."

Some explanations :

Currently, there are either Commander based zerg squads, or max 5 man-sized groups.

There is a place I think for medium sized groups, who want to share fun in pve or mcm, in a different way as it is.

In pve, we found it’s really easy to lose coordination with a medium-sized group (6-20 people), and leave people behind, especially in Guild Missions, for example.

It would help also smaller groups in mcm, which want to pack for other tactics than the zerg.

Efficient Combos to improve coop in PvP

Just a quick thought about the state of pvp in Guild Wars.

As Trinity doesn’t exist in the game, a nice way to improve level of cooperation between pvp players could be to improve Combos effects and durations.

Players would have to synchronise better, and make some build together, for the combos to work. But their effects could be more powerful on the battleground.

What do you think about it ?

Hello,

Here is a simple suggestion about weapon size.

My main character is a female Norn, of the smallest possible size,
and I noticed there is a huge difference between min & max models.

But weapon skins do not scale with chosen size (although they do between races).

Most 2h swords, for example, seem so huge on my Norn, I can’t see her back anymore,
they are clearly oversized, regarding her hands as well, etc.

So here is a simple suggestion : give us an option to scale weapon, a bit down, or a bit up, depending the player preferences.

Anet has still a way to fix this, with adding some low level missions (call them Guild Assignments or Guild Quest, whatever) available from Tier III or IV, that would allow small guilds to enjoy this kind of content, earlier.

Hello,

Radiance XII – Perfect Inscriptions does not seem to change the passive signets bonus, on the hero panel, or the tooltip bar.

This is a Grand Master Trait, and it hasn’t been fixed clearly since Game launch.
I’m not complaining here, but six months to fix a Grand Master Trait begins to seem a little long.

At least, would it be possible to have an official feedback about how it improves passive effect on each Signet ?

A relative easy and quick way to implement this, could be the usage of a /chair emote command, which could display your character sitting on its own ‘racial’ chair, appearing when you enter the command.

This way, no hassle with finding a chair for everyone,
and the corresponding type regarding your race.

Canonically, yes the Lost Shores weekend and lead-up was set after the events of the Guild Wars 2 personal story and the defeat of Zhaitan, so this is partially what made it possible for the karka to establish a clawhold on Southsun Cove.

While previous content is probably going to be always available and playable by newer players,
is this an official indication that Zhaitan should be considered defeated, from a storyline perspective ?

A Party of Six ?

Like Baldur’s gate and others RPG games in the past,
it would be great if we would be able to form a group of six players, in instances.

in our guild, we find ourselves often leaving a teammate alone, because of the 5 limitation. It would enable more interaction between players, and I think a more dynamic gameplay inside Instances.

I’m not asking for the 8 groups we used to have in GW1,
as I understand the game balance would be heavily impacted by this.

But to me, a party of six would be the perfect match between balance and the pleasure to have more of your friends around you.

Anyway thanks for this beautiful game, and keep up the good work !

Hello there.

I run the game as a Guardian, and found lately I barely use the 6th button.
Many profession can build to heal a bit using several tricks, outside the full 6th slot heal.
And If you’re careful about what you’re doing, you find that it’s not an obligation to have such a skill.

In parallel, many elite skills are only for some kind of decoration in the build, especially regarding their high recharge rate…

So crafting your very own build comes down to choose 3 Utility slots.
It’s a bit low in my opinion (not counting the weapon slots, of course).

To improve build variety and research…
I think it would be cool the free the 6th slot as another Utility slot, If the player wants to.

You would still have a restriction about having only one potent Healing skill equipped, although.

What do you think about it ?

Game Difficulty & Balance

Hi Folks,

After some weeks playing the game, which I really like BTW,
I have mixed feelings about game difficulty & balance approach.

Some experiences with the game :

-> Some bosses or mob situation feel like the difficulty is problematic.
As a Guardian, even with full vitality/toughness stuff, with Protection -33% and signet -10% damage, I can still be OS by some bosses.
I’m not talking about being invincible in dungeons, here, but just being able to withstand a bit more when well protected could be nice.

What is the strategy behind this ?
Yes you can and must dodge some moves, of course, and chain your skill correctly.
But sometimes I just carefully chain my skill, just to be OS. It’s a bit frustrating to have to use the rez system to go through some challenges.

-> In some parts of the game, it’s the contrary.
Like Malchor’s Leap map in PvE, where I took +10 levels just running around finishing quests with others, without never risking anything.

IMHO, the challenges design need some work to deliver the proper experience.

Please note I’m not whining about this. I can adapt, and will do.
But what do you think about it ?
