Why do you call your guild “Good Fights” when the vast majority of you just run thieves and mesmers with berserker gear? I mean, you guys are generally good players, but super uninteractive burst builds are hardly what I’d called good fights…

2 Thieves and 2 Mesmers = Vast Majority? I will admit many of the guild do have thief/mesmer alts, but they don’t use them outside of trolling. As for the berserk gear, not a single guildy is full berserk. Would you rather have a thief run full ptv and tickle you to death? No thanks jefe.

I can only hope EBay players somehow improve. What do you do when you outman and outnumber your opponent 2 to 1? Simple answer, run like a terrified schoolgirl back to siege, because you know how lacking your players are in skill. However it IS fun to pick you smart and skilled EBayers off. Honestly I see more skilled players on BP, many more. I see an Ebay player, and the first thing I have to do is wait to see how many are running in tow.

P.S. I enjoyed the ## vs 3 in Panglos earlier, I say ## because I stopped counting at 10. You really showed that three people can easily last quite a while on 4+ to 1 odds as long as the opponents have no clue what they are doing.

Evidently all my fights against AR and BP alone while they have 3-4 have been imagined thus far.

Really don’t claim one server does something every server does I remember several occasions where BP and AR have sat in towers firing Arrow Carts at me rather than coming out with more than enough people in the tower to CC me down and kill me in seconds, Everyone does it at some point.

Since I have never actually seen an EBay player alone, I would agree, your fights have been imagined.

Now, I’m not saying all EBay players are horrible, but your majority are. It’s smart that they run in packs, it’s the only way they could take a solo player down.

Don’t make me log in just to wreck your entire guild solo man. It’s not worth it.

It’s quite difficult to explain why I’m so much better than everyone…it really is. It’s as if people just kind of stare at their screens clicking their utilities and such at like 20 apm. After fighting BP and AR for this long, I think I can officially say there isn’t a single person worthy of fighting.

You can’t post it on the forums, or you’ll get a ban for character assassination. I already sent in multiple screenshots of Kalkz doing it with his mesmer “buddy” who took off his guild tag. This happened like two weeks ago. All I got from the support was “we’ll look into it”. Feel free to believe what you like, BP has known glitchers.

In fact, a perfect example was when servers went down like 5 weeks ago, and BP capped hills in a matter of seconds, when we had just recapped it before servers went down. Considering there was no mesmer inside ofc due to the server kicking everyone out, BP clearly glitched inside.

I can’t speak to the Kaltz accusation, so i won’t.

The second item sounds fishy. Let me check my understanding of what happened. The servers went down, was that the BG servers or the world servers? How long were they down for?

Everyone was kicked: everyone ended up in Lion’s Arch or everyone was kicked out of the game?

What I want to get at is:
a) how do you know everyone was kicked? I have been in bgs where large numbers of players were kicked but not everyone.
b) how do you know everyone came up at the same time. Is it possible BP players were able to enter the BGs a few minutes before EB players?
c) Since Ebay had “just capped” hills, how do you know the “re-capping” wasn’t simply a roll back to before EBay had capped?
d) If it did happen in “seconds” then it would seem like someone would have had to hack there way into the lords room and then instantly kill everyone with a hack as well as solo player, even glitching thru walls, would not have enough time to run back, glitch thru, run to the lords room and kill everything in a matter of seconds. Is that sort of hacking even possible?

The servers were down, i.e no one could log in. Everyone is kicked if the servers go down. No one should have been able to enter before one another, and even if they did, a few minutes would not have gotten them through the gates considering it was just flipped and cleared of previous siege. They didn’t claim a “roll-back” and I don’t they think ever have in WvW. Possibly, it happened before we could even reach Hills, which is impossible. Regardless, something “glitchy” happened and BP had a free keep.

Wiped is a very strong word. None of us died in inner bay except our rams and our supply counts and that was because of your arrow carts. Vale flipped hands many times and we fought for hours. Your turn of events seems like a few minutes.

Yes we gave up the tower. If we hadn’t you wouldn’t have got that single guild catapult up (which you had to run supply for, gave me a few chuckles) let alone be able to just sit there with one catapult against reinforced walls. We could have been there for a very long time.

How far in denial are you? I mean, you are already making yourself look bad by lying, but now completely denying the wipes. There was roughly 25-30 of AR attacking bay. 15-20 were from TFH, 5 or so from BL, and 5ish from ALS/Zero and others. By the time we pushed you guys to your tower, you had 10 people. At that point one of your members joined an Ebay member and said “just take it, we give up”, which we then proceeded to say “at least defend it”. You won’t believe how hard we laughed when we heard that you guys just “gave up”. We built two guild catas, since we don’t normally carry siege.

10? There was 5 TFH v 5 GF + some pk and NITE at the end. At peak we never had 15-20 (I do like how your numbers keep growing though) we had maybe 12 TFH (5 up arrows including a lvl 9) but your numbers for the other AR guilds seem about right up until we made it into SM so most left. According to my maths that’s about 20. At the same time we counted you and there was about 18 or so (the thieves made it harder). There were groups from GF, FTF, pk, a guy from ASG who was a pretty good hit and run warrior plus 1 or two others. You also had the vets, which while not a real threat are still annoying and the cannons, which killed me once. Though our stealth trap killed you once too.

Honestly, you guys fought well and it was a lot of fun which is what we said to you before we left. We got to practice a few things and we have it recorded so that we can review and improve. “This fight is being recorded for training purposes.”

I guess I just don’t understand your mentality beyond ’I’m on the internet so I’ll do whatever’. Why can’t you just say “It was an even fight and we had lots of fun”? Because it was an even fight and it was lots of fun from our end. Are you so desperate to prove how ‘great’ you are to people you don’t know and have never met?

That seems unlikely, or least if it did happen it must be for another reason. There are no stock light armour sets that have runes of air on them far as I can tell.

There are some other situations that can cause you to get hit by the lightning effect, not least sigils of air.

Lemme rephrase what I said, I don’t think it was clear. I was fighting a mesmer who was using 6x Superior Rune of the Air. I hit one of his phantasms, and it procc’d the lightning strike, (6): 20% chance to gain Lightning Strike when hit. (Cooldown: 10s). Not entirely similar to the lich situation but, I thought this might be a bug too..

Because I went to every server and killed them all during the one time event, btw they dropped me precursors and I’m totally rich now. Jokes on you.

I just entered the twilight zone. AR more skilled than Ebay? I couldn’t laugh harder, I really couldn’t. There isn’t a single person on AR who beats me, literally no one, none of their top sPvPers come even close. BP isn’t even in the category of "average"outside of Kyle and Skullclamp.

In my experience the average AR 1v1 is more of a challenge than the average 1v1 Ebay player. That doesn’t mean there aren’t a lot of 1v1 skilled EBays, just your average seems to be adjusted to zerg play and not skirmish as well as simply having more players so numbers wise EBay will have more bad players.

Yall do have some scary good mesmers though. I don’t like to use the OP phrase but some of the ebay ones certainly border on it. Our team has started calling it mesmer wars because about 50% of the EBay skirmishing population seems to be mesmer. AR seem to be heavily thief based.

Ok. Phantasm build is superior to shatter build in 1v1. This is true, however that doesn’t make Phantasm build OP. What makes it OP is bad players who sit there getting fired at not knowing what to do. Blinds totally negate phantasm summon. Unless traited, phantasms are relatively easy to kill as well. Those are just two easy ways to deal with phantasms, you could spec for blocks, reflects and much more on any given profession. Hell AoE spamming works well too. People who say phantasm build can’t be used outside of 1v1 is wrong. It needs context, does a phantasm build work in WvW where zergs are massive? Nope, does it work in 5-10 Mans, you bet it does. I’m tired of people calling things OP, there are plenty of counters, use them.

You lost to better players. or you lost to greater numbers.

If A, then your server has wasted 10 weeks in T5, yes 10 weeks, as stated by your own realm mates, AR and BP are a bunch of bads. Guess what?, you don’t get better by playing bads.

If B, you lost to greater numbers. Then both AR and BP have a valid point, they are losing to Ebay because of population and coverage not skill.

1. BP been complaining about Ebay’s numbers from the get go.
2. AR+BP > Ebay numbers wise this week

Guess what Ebay is winning despite double team which exceeds our numbers. In our matchup thread you’re own server mates are stating how impressed they are with our organization between guilds. They realize that our TS server is filled with 200-300 people while yours has 50 on a good day. Heck AR had a zerg in our BL going for garrison….ya know what happened don’t ya?

Yes Ebay took every keep in AR BL in 15 minutes.

As for what happened in tier4….maybe if your server ever gets there you’ll understand what goes on.

They just make excuses constantly. We lost in t4 because we were being double teamed every week. In fact, I believe we were able to push down Maguuma to t5 even though Maguuma and Yaks had more numbers than us. The more you know!

P.S. We also never cried this much or made alliances.

I mean seriously. My observations are backed up by what is consistently happening over the last months as well as now. You are just throwing unsupported statements out there, of which some do not even make sense. Example: New commanders don’t know what they are doing but we are not disorganized. You are giving a reason for the disorganization but also denying it lol.

Also please don’t tell me what I’m saying. Overall Ehmry Bay is doing well vs this 2 vs 1. I never said/meant we were not. Are we performing up to our capabilities? Definitely not. Are we doing pretty well overall? Yes. You can give all the excuses you want of why we are not performing as well as we could be, but we definitely did not take the threat of both servers seriously and it bit us in the kitten. That hurt us more than any disorganization or anything else and magnified all our other issues.

It’s a fact that if we didn’t have the population advantage we have, regardless of how much you want to quantify it at, we would be in a terrible situation right now. Anyone that’s been on Ehmry for a long time knows how thin of a red line it is between challenging match-up and PUGs abandoning WvW leaving us terribly outmanned. If not the next time we are the underdogs they will see that in action. (We are not currently the underdogs even now, BP and AR still are)

You had as many as we did already in that tower within the first five minutes(obviously not including the ones we killed trying to get in), although you and two others were the only ones actually coming OUT to kill our siege, thankfully as more showed up more came out of the tower to fight. Thank god you and those other two were there though cause otherwise it would’ve been us on the cata and your allies on their arrow carts waiting for us to get inside :P

BP[WAR] had 20-25 players? We don’t even run those numbers on reset night lol. Perhaps our 5 man just has the power of a 20-25 man force.. which is most likely the case here.

Ok, lets examine this closer shall we? The fact that people on our server have to put in grueling hours just to defend against this 2v1, obviously proves that our population is not as big as people claim and is therefore been exaggerated and used as an excuse.

Logical fallacy, while people DID kick up their game a little people that put in large amounts of hours are people who already put in large amounts of hours. Most people with more RL obligations can’t really free up much time. Most people putting in large amounts of hours have relatively few RL obligations. So no, it’s not that much of a change. The committed people with alot of spare time were already putting in long hours. People who have a radical time investment differential are the exceptions, not the rule. Furthermore this is a dual logical fallacy because AR and BP have also kicked up their game a bit and are putting in longer hours.

It’s really easy to see Ebay has a big population advantage. It’s shown every week and it’s shown all the more right now.

I don’t care if you’ve been on ebay since beta, I’ve been in WvW since beta and I’ll tell you right now, we have become the better server through hard work and communication. You give them respect for what? The ability to somewhat hold an alliance because individually they have failed to take us on? The difference is people in t4 aren’t going to go around making silly alliances.

We WERE the better server via hard work, communication, and yes population. However over the weekend AR and BP actually outplayed us and out-coordinated us up until end of the day Sunday when they fell off a noticeable amount. I still think Ebay has better individual player skill atm, but they have shown better teamwork and coordination than us so far this matchup. Without a doubt.

I give them respect for the amount of improvement in their game they made and the coordination they were using. Same as I give respect to my own server when it does so. I respect all competitors I feel deserve it instead of attempting to be king kitten. I don’t expect them to individually take us on. That’s not fair even if they equaled us 100% in play because they plainly do not have equivalent population. If either side did we would be losing badly atm.

I won’t say what T4 would or would not do. I am not a prophet, mind reader, or psychic. However I will say that most servers would at least consider an alliance if placed in as terrible of a position for a long time.

I use Staff + s/s and run a shatter build with blink, decoy and arcane thievery. If the pet was doing a lot of damage, its possible they are running a Beastmaster build and are going to take time to kill as they will be tanky, so you want to pace yourself and dodge the pets moves.

If they pop rampage as one use arcane thievery, use blink as a gap closer or to get ahead then use staff to stay ahead. Decoy can also be used as a gap closer. Phantasm build will always be the stronger 1v1 build.
