I put it entirely more hours this weekend than was healthy, easily in excess of 30 hours. I went to sleep shortly before the +695 cap that night and woke up when we still had over +450. Just saying we got our entire lead in one night when we had no opposition because they were asleep and we PVDoored. Because that is what happened. They actually closed the gap since then.
You can back pat yourself all you want. I’ve been here since beta and have seen Ebay server through times when we had less manpower and skill than either of the two servers we face now. Don’t get aggressive towards me because I’m being honest and fair while giving respect where it is due. If we can’t face our foes honestly without lying to ourselves here what makes you think we can handle T4?
Ok, lets examine this closer shall we? The fact that people on our server have to put in grueling hours just to defend against this 2v1, obviously proves that our population is not as big as people claim and is therefore been exaggerated and used as an excuse. I don’t care if you’ve been on ebay since beta, I’ve been in WvW since beta and I’ll tell you right now, we have become the better server through hard work and communication. You give them respect for what? The ability to somewhat hold an alliance because individually they have failed to take us on? The difference is people in t4 aren’t going to go around making silly alliances.

The only reason we are winning right now is because of that single night of 695 point capping when no BP or AR were on. 500+ every 15 minutes for like 8 hours, you do the math. Oh wait, I will: 500*4 = 2k per hour, 8 hours. 16k. Actually a good bit higher than that since we ended up 695 pointing them.
Seem a little familiar to how far we are ahead?
Right now AR and BP are matching us in points. They actually beat us in points during our primetime on a weekend two nights in a row up until very late night and early morning. As of now they are within 20k, which means they already caught up several thousand points.
Personally I am rooting for you guys AR and BP. You are working hard and winning a tough battle through coordination and teamwork against a foes strong enough to stand toe to toe with both of you. I only have respect for that. I do not have respect for any Ebayers with a big head because we have a server big enough to match the population of our two tier mates right now.
I will fight you with everything I have, but I will also root for you. If you win, I’ll know you worked really hard to do so and did so with play far superior to your normal level of play. I can only have respect for that.

Nice reading comprehension. I actually prefer this Tier and hated T4 because it was hard to roam or find small man groups. I was part of that GF group that you praised outside your SE tower. Small group coordination and roaming is my favorite. I would rather have fights like that than take objectives.
You said AR never has a Queue. The original post you responded to was meant to highlight and explain what happened in our BL and in Eternal with the 2v1, which was pretty darn fun. You might not have had a full Q, but you sure sent your zerg guilds.
You called us Midnight Warriors. I said we never had a significant late night force and it was actually BP that was always resetting everything oceanic time just until recently. Pretty sure the only loud mouth screen shot posters are the ones that either barely post and really don’t represent Ebay. Oh but wait, that’s all you read and just generalized from there.
You said we would have fun fighting bigger/equal numbers. I said that you’re preaching to the choir here. We already know all about that since we’ve done it in T4 when we were outnumbered and we do it consistently in the groups I run with. Yeah, we might have a bigger T4 NA population to cover more maps but even BP will tell you we are more organized and get more done with less numbers.
This week is actually pretty fun so far because both BP and AR are coming out to play. You guys are actually giving us a challenge when you work together, compared to the last few weeks of this match up.
If you really can’t understand those points, I will gladly paint you a picture IRL.

Beyond that, what I see here is we basically agree. I wish BP and AR actually could work together more because I think it puts this matchup on more equal footing numbers-wise and adds a new twist to this pairing, but that whole alliance thing lasted < 12 hrs. What I find funny is all the PvK’ers coming in here and crowing about how great EB is doing 2v1. For those folks I say don’t hurt your arm with the back pats. While it lasted, we rocked Eternal, but that’s long since over.
Now, it’s back to killing as usual. Our commanders seem to be learning better tactics (well, some of them are…..), especially against larger forces, and I see them getting better each week. This will serve us well in the future, regardless of who we’re up against.

from what iv heard lately KREW have become dragonbrands number 1 skill group how true this is i do not know.
At the time KREW were the super power on BP along with sbzy but the 2 guilds HATED one another and tore the first alliance to pieces. From there on BP has been re building re structuring the way our wvw is run. I personally pushed BURN to the front lines in wvw although were a pvx guild, i enlisted some of the best fighters i could gave them positions and free reign over certain aspects of the BURN wvw but still 50% of our guild are spvp/PVE players that hate wvw lol. My other co leaders i had to “Convince” the direction i was taking the guild would be for the better and it has worked.
The server has really picked up the changes that ive seen because of ehmry are really looking good. the numbers and the dedicated players you have are something to be envious of, if all goes well in the coming months i hope to see BP in the same direction.
All i read is excuses and complains from BP, your point is moot considering it wouldn’t matter if you had KREW or WaR is my point. Sorry to upset you.

I really have no further comment on the subject. If everyone is transferring in mass, my first question would be “why?” and then proceed to look into that problem, whatever it may be. I’m certain it’s more than simply who is winning and who isn’t. I find it hard to believe people would transfer in mass, with heavy gem fees to boot, over something that simple. You’ve got something internal going on.
Oddly, I haven’t seen any decrease in WvW population, as a matter of fact, it seems like we have more now that there was this “mass exodus”. Funny how the game doesn’t reflect the forum.
No offence, but you guys have yet to experience a mass exodus. 15-30 players is a reality check. 1000 or more is a mass exodus.
When “KREW” left for dragon brand they were a 500 man guild and they took the majority of there guild with them at the time + a pretty big % of pugs we had also went to dragon brand
Then there was WaR, an up and coming skill group much like Sekz/Rekz of around 30+ players that decided maguuma was there place to go the way they left was a kick in the teeth as they left just before a reset and all rady knew our plans for the night… Fighting against them was fun but a constant reminder that BP at the time was still growing and those leaving were making way for a new breed of player to follow through.
With AC’s right now being REALLY kittened up, A LOT of peeps just cant deal with the time its taking to re take keeps etc….. Also i think like some have said its gotten stale now and ive started noticing less and less peeps in the BL’s…… =(
So you lost two bad guilds. WaR wasn’t even good on Mag, I wrecked them and Krew was terrible as well. Ebay has lost around 8 guilds. There is no room for complaining.

The rotation is on too short of a cd to rinse and repeat. It leaves no counterplay.
It leaves plenty of counterplay lmao, I never get caught in blurred frenzy because I use a movement skill or a condi removal, simple as that. The whole point of a shatter build is being bursty with as much speed as possible. I don’t believe you know anything about mesmer.

Yes, the skill needs a slight nerf when it comes to Distortion or CD. Either reduce the Distortion uptime or increase the CD. I would prefer to reduce the uptime since the damage is ok. I have faith in Anet in this case.

This has to be the most boring match up continual in history. Anet needs to manually change who fights who or base it on wins/losses I’m tired of fighting tower huggers.
tower hugging is part and parcel of the game this is not SPVP towers / Keeps and camps are where the points are so hugging a tower is essential after all some of them do get lonely. Fighting in open field is fun and all but at the end of the day those towers and keeps are what gives you points using the guards for an advantage is something every server does including Ehmry there been many of times ive beaten guys and they know they cant do the same to me so they try to lure me to guards to get an advantage especially thieves they will use any advantage they can get (Not like they need 1 8k backstabs constant blinds stealth BAH!!)

It’s true, sPvP isn’t WvW, but that doesn’t mean the mindset should be specifically about hiding in towers/keeps because of ones fear of being zerged or the structure being taken. This is one of the reasons why the skill gap between Ebay and BP is that significant, I will jump down and fight outnumbered, where as BP will sit and spam AC’s. Justifying “hiding” when you have more people is impossible.
ahh but do you play 1 of those OP classes you know the ones i mean too, cause if its say a warrior sat in the tower and your say a mes or thief chances are unless its avery good warrior he will just sit there regardless. ive noticed how the fields are flooded lately with either mesers thief or ele’s those classes make up 75% of most forces now
Define OP? I play Mes/Warrior/Guard/Ranger and I’ve never had problems killing other professions on any of them. You could argue thief or mesmer is “OP”, however when if I kill you on a ranger, is ranger OP now?

Okay, so you’re not manipulating scores because you’re not exchanging kills or spiking. That’s not the issue.
The issue is that you’re not actively playing in good faith the real designed participation of WORLD VS WORLD VS WORLD (i.e. SERVER vs SERVER vs SERVER). The designed aim of this content is not 1-vs-1 ‘duels’, but active participation with your server to engage and defeat the other server through combat and map control. Also note that these duels do happen during long queues (I’ve personally seen it many times) and that itself is an interruption of the other player’s fun for your server who want to participate in real WvWvW and cannot, or those that want their guildmates into the server, but cannot due to duelists taking up slots.
The last thing to look at is exploitation, which you many not realize that you’re doing. How? You’re communicating with other members of the other servers though Guild Chat (or sometimes party chat, where you can actively invite someone from the other server to your party..they need to fix that). It’s not too bad just to communicate, but when you’re talking to them about stomping “interrupters” and killing people that are messing up your ‘duels’ while you actively communicate to them that you’ll not interfere with them doing that stomping…..that is exploitation. That is something that can and should get you suspended and ultimately banned from the game.
Additional Note: sPvP is built around dueling. I’m sorry if you feel that “it’s not the same because I cannot do X build because no stats like WvW”, but it is far more balanced and set properly for that content. In about a month or two, custom arenas will be open to EVERYONE equally and thus you’ll be able to set up your own personalized guild duels there away from other people’s content.
No kittens given, I will fight club if I want too. If you interrupt fight club I will spike you or have the enemy duelist spike you if you are on my server. Simple as that. Go back to zerging a point for that wexp.

Put your manpants on and actualy fight a 1v1 instead of always calling in 15 of your buddies.
We are not here to 1v1 you, we are here to take your Keeps, towers and camps. Since they give us points (: If you want a 1v1 then run fight club, otherwise stop complaining because we are trying to focus on points as a server not individual accomplishments.

Confusion damage is just laughable now. I literally do not care if I have it on my characters. Why even bother wasting energy trying to dodge that stuff when I can just keep attacking anyways and have no problems.
A condition mesmer is totally unviable now in WvW. The damage from non-confusion conditions is stupidly weak. Thankfully I still have my power set for my mes.
RIP cond mesmers.
My Eng is still fine without it though :P
QFT. Switched my mesmer to power. Confusion is no longer effective ENOUGH for what is sacrificed.

Staff is primarily defensive. Chaos storm is great overall, gives you boons + gives enemies conditions + you can get chaos armor off it. Theres chaos armor in general. The “general” stun break on 2 on a short cooldown and then there’s iWarlock which hits pretty hard. In PvE/WvW as a lowbie I’d suggest greatsword. Staff becomes a lot more useful when you hit 80 and PvP a lot.

This is so funny. I can’t help but laugh at the carebear attitudes here. You guys complain about Kalkz bragging about PvDoor, yet you’re bragging about fighting Guards, while taking the easy road that requires very little fighting.
And to think, you guys always say you want open world fighting, yet you’re pulling stunts like this? hah!!!!!!!!!!

I’ve been there, done that, it was humorous at best, but not remotely fun. I have never, nor will I ever support, or do anything that does not involve fighting other players. Hell, I PAY my children to harvest for me in most games, or pay for them to craft for me, if I need something like that. If I come up to a keep/tower and there are no defenders, I leave looking for fights.
If the carebear route is more to your liking, that is YOUR business. But like I tell my children; “If you do not like the attention you get from the actions you take, do not do it”. It’s really simple.
I love how you use the old; “umad” response, when you have nothing to contribute to your argument. I expect such a silly response from a grade schooler, who hasn’t had the opportunity to learn yet, and utilize a better structure of arguments. <winks>

HOWEVER, a zerg will still get you regardless of how much mobility you have. In addition, they received no sustainability from this update, just more damage. Stop complaining.
Don’t you think immunity to snares plus all of the above you just listed might be a bit much?
Not really. The above listed sacrifices a lot for the mobility. IF anything this new buff will allow us breathing room to get new rune sets up or use different food. If people want to run with -98% then that’s good for them, its not necessary at all lol. I guess I just see it differently.

So people just want to retake their keeps with no repercussions because they want to be lazy. If I know there’s a mesmer/thief in a keep I will stay in there for kittening hours until they are dead. Regardless if you want to say its “waste of time” or “unintended”, work for it or you don’t deserve it. This is aimed at all the QQers in this thread.

Join WvW, find a zerg that is doing a karma train (flipping camps for karma) you’ll get a bunch of exp. Otherwise just man up and pay the gold to craft it up!

Confusion damage should never have been nerfed directly. I would have just made it so it doesn’t proc on dodge traits. Even with the 50% nerf in WvW as long as you got like plenty of mesmers spamming it, its still going to wreck face, just not as fast.
