Well, got it done yesturday after a several wipes. Had to regroup at the entrance to this room after an each stage. Had party of engineer, ele, 2 guardian and ranger. With all bunch of golems out of aggro range, we all run into room. All mobs come at our direction, after they are passed about half of the room, ele casts frozen ground on them, and some other cc (electrical field, earth wall). Engi went straight to the console and triggered it. Then we all stood near him and aoe’d like crazy to kill small golems. Its best to have some kind of protection, for big golems lazors are hitting pretty hard. After killing a bunch of small golems, there more free place to do some kiting with big ones (dont bother to kill them). Basically you need to protect person triggering the console for a certain amount of time. Killing small golems is a must, because their blasts are pushing ppl off. So, several rounds of this insane kitten and you are done.

Take ele with you, and tell him to make Ice bows. These will make quick work of burrows.

Been only in 3rd path. It is quite brutal, but doable. Many shooters. Final boss is going to be multiple kite fest. Don’t do this path as your first )

Run two paths TA, everyone recieved 60 tokens, run CoF, also 60. Personally I support this system. Not over9000 grind, and not free epics.
However, judging ppl from forum, your system is not working as intended. This needs to be fixed asap.
No need to get a complete item from bosses, it is no-fun. And chests should remain without tokens also. Only complete chain, only hardcore.
CoF Magg bomb room event however is what you really need to fix. It is impossible to do in a normal way without graveyard rushing and brief kiting between deaths. Srsly, show us your official video how YOU, Anet, are doing this. If it is event based on graveyard rushing – then it is obviously flawed beyond redemption.

Was writing something here, but it got wiped as I tried to post it.
Long story short. I am generally against all whiners and so on, but after having seen this event yesturday for myself…
Lets make it quick. Sure we all would love to see an official tactics from Anet devs, on actual 75 level and actual gear, how to complete this event not resorting to cheap kiting (it is impossible anyway to do), and graveyard zerg. Show us the way how it meant to be done, Anet!

You need 1 man (ideal) to heavy cc those knights, while rest of the party finishes off them 1 by 1. Ele or necro should do. You can also try to kite them to the point they are leashed back, and immobilize 1 of them, to burn him down quickly, while rest of knights are retreating.
My team also had some difficulties with them, but after 1 of 2 wipes we got through. We were not even close to 80 at that point, and geared for whatever (mostly greens). It is certanly not so difficult as OP is describing. Try to actually think how you can disable them (hint: summons). Knights are certanly brutal, just keep thinking and trying.

Oh, OP is posting some bad things. Gotta farm more, before Anet will buff up this dungeon too.
And question. What is wrong about speedruns? And what is “not boring” to you? When you will have to kill every single trash mob, it will be fun then? And you want to do this extremely boring and tedious task every single run? There will be no difficulty, just artifical time increase. Our group can do all TA without a single defeat, so you are telling us to kill every mob just for the sake of your personal theoretic non-existent FUN? Are you kidding? Please, stop posting things like this. There are no exploits involved, no ridiculous jumping, no glitches. So leave TA be the way it is now.

Nice to see a thread of right good tips for an ele. I am already using most of what’s written here for a while.
Can also add something. It is smart move to pull pack of mobs using Frozen ground. Then party can aoe them, while you place your crippling wall and stun field, then start to aoe in fire attunement. In process of all that, slowly move backwards. By time that mobs will reach your party, they all are half-dead, if not more.
I also putting on reflection shield and running to that shooting mobs, to see they are hitting themselves for several thousands of damage. Also using this to defend someone, by running between them and range mobs.

Ele, hit 80 yesturday, done many dungeons story and explo, and I am agree with Power.2957. I am wielding staff, actively using cc cooldowns, and arcane shield. If I die – then it means that others are already dead. Well, I can always catch an unfortunate missile/shot from a range mob or something (riflemans in CM are basically 1-shotting me), but with knowing what to do, survivng is not so much a problem for me.
Save your dodges for time when they are really needed, and NOT stay in melee range (d/d is surely not an option here, despite their good damage).

Did full CM (and not 1 time) before buff, and now going through some other dungeons. But rest assured, I will come to CM just to see that buff. But OP is talking about story mode here. Seriously, it cant be this bad as he writes.

Can’t even finish story modes? Kids these days are really something. No one will quit because of the story modes, so quit rambling already, showing you have absolutely no skill, and even slightest understanding how GW2 works.

You should look for mobs with claws around lvl 50+. I remember getting a whole bunch of regular claws from destroyers in my friend’s story quest with skritts. They were ~50+ afaik.

Did this path, and forward-forward yesturday. It was fun, except all those blossoms and the last tree. Did same tactics as OP. Seriously, this bunch of spiders… I sure want to know if there is a legal way of dealing with this last boss.

CM with barrels is easy, even without stealth. Just drop 5+ of them near gate. Mobs who pickups them will deal no damage, and most of time just stand here as you kill them. Immediately pick up dropped barrels and place them into circles. And aoe, lots of aoe. In time streak of mobs will thin out and there will be moment when all 5 barrels are in place.
AC Tzark burrow event is my big headache. Tried with 3 various groups, it seems just we are lacking dps (even with 2 eles). Guess need to bring warriors here. Left it until I am 80.

Also question about Sorrow’s Embrace explo path 3. Destroyer of the Worlds boss. How do you supposed to kill him? Adds are tough and spawns very fast for just 5 of us. They also not disappearing after boss reset (certanly they should disappear, its just pain, killing them, and then pull boss). Fire aoe is not adding fun. Wiki says we got to rez npc, who will do the tanking. But sure there must be another way. Any feedback on this will be appreciated (youtube links especially, lol).

Well, I obviouly exaggerated, about 1-2-3 in WoW. Played it myself for a while, and sure, enjoyed raiding with my guild. But, being player, who learns fast, I facepalmed oh-so-often when meeting ppl in raids who kept making same mistakes over and over again, like about 10+ times in 1 day, and just refused to learn. Well, in GW2 I see the same players (some pugs are learning in the battle process though) while there is no LFG system here.
Lazarial, may I ask, when your 8/8 HC was obtained. Because you know… Got 6/8 HC myself, but got bored and quit.

Raging Bull, because of that “1-1-1” you fail in dungeons probably. And yes, wow now is very casual.

Well, in time, all will be stabilized. WoW-ers in wow. GW-ers – in gw2. Some in both. What I am writing here, I wonder…

Use staff in dungeons. Its cc are godlike. Fire is a perfect aoe. Water – solid heal+ condition removal. Etc. With half-melee weaps your repair bill will be very fat. But with staff you can hold on very, very long time. Also use right utility skills, changing them on situation.

The irony is that, if GW2 stays in this state (lack of in-depth and interesting encounter mechanics in DEs and dungeons, no rewards), I WILL go back to WoW.

Are you threating us? Are you threating Anet? Why do you even posting this? Community will lose nothing important if you will go back to your pandas. Enjoy your casuality and free epics, spamming 1-2-3 standing behind tank. GW2 will be always for you there, ’cos there is no monthly fee, unlike you-know-what.

Interesting tactics. Will try that next time. Yesturday we were able to finish this event, but it was sort of crazy.
Also last boss is a total facepalm, and there is little room for melee to survive.

What I see here, is just a bunch of people that are denying the truth. Truth that they just dont want to think and improve their gameplay, dont want to get out of their glass cannon builds, think nothing about combo and synrgy with rest of the party, and so on. Being told that, they rant something about rudeness and being polite to others. We are actually doing you a favor by telling to improve your gameplay. But, you all want dungeon armor. Not gonna happen, guys. You all HAVE to l2p, or completing dungeons will happen only in your dreams. Sorry for straightforwardness, but thats it.

With all that being said, I personally think that dungeons may drop a little more tokens.

I am not gonna give up. These forums have just opened. And the next few days I’m gonna spend just as much time here as in the game.

If you have time for this, better l2p, think about WHY you are dying, and not just whine here. I (many other ppl) will be laughing, after Anet changes nothing in current dungeons. They are fun, challenging, the way they are should be.

Why should I be forced to only succeed if I know a bunch of great gamers? To me it sounds like the “great” gamers only ever say “get better”. Why are the people who can do this all so very rude? If you are so great, maybe you should post tips instead of posting stupid comments like “cry more”. The internet has ruined all forms of communication… but that is off topic.

Good luck to everyone who keeps trying this. I can’t continue because the money I make, even when I do succeed, is always less than half the amount it takes to repair my armor and the loot is ridiculously bad.

Because with bad players you are obviously going to fail it, I guess? Or you want explo dungeons to be nerfed to boot, because some no-skill pug are failing it constantly?

I am not rude. I am only stating the truth. Let me get even more clear.
- You saying its impossible to get through this part of dungeon without over9000 deaths.
- I got through it with my team without over9000 deaths. In fact, it was easier than AC for us.
One of us here have better skill, reaction, and teamwork than other. Guess you figured already, which one. What else can I say to you, other than “l2p” and “do not pug”? Tips? But I already posted how my group overcome this particular room. What else tips do you need? Its not some super-complicated mechanics. Just cold reasoning, cc, and teamwork. Not going to bother to fraps it though. Too lazy.

Oh yes, guess dungeons are just not for you, my friend. There is a device on top of your shoulders, which you should be using in these dungeons. A party of players in voice chat, knowing what their characters are capable of, some eyes and reaction – is all what you need here. Cry more. Personally I am glad to know, that dungeon armor is not for all and not easy to obtain.
Although I guess Anet needs to slightly drop prices of dungeon vendors (in exotic tab ofc).

Ele here, almost always is last to die in dungeons.
I’ll tell you a secret. Heavy armor users are also suffering from damage if it comes straight to their face. And, for dungeons dont bother to get “tanky” or something. Build yourself only for traits you think will be useful. Gearing should be power/persicion/cond. dmg. Maybe some healing.

About surviving. With so many kiting and control options for ele, I’m actually wondering how you even manage to take hits? Not talking about zergling rush events here ofc.
I’m going to write what I am using for dungeons. Staff weapon – obviously. Water and earth to control, heal and mass-dot. If I’m out of danger completely – switch to fire and just burn things away. Utility skills – signet of earth, arcane shield, signet of water, elite elementals glyph for most single boss fights. For example, holding Lt. Kholer an entire time upstairs with this setup, while rest of party killing adds downstairs. Can also kill champion cave troll on my own (it will take hell of a time though). For zerg rush – arcane power and arcane wave, in place of signets.

My team finished 1-st route with only a bit of trouble. To get past this room, you need to pull only group stanging most left. Other mobs will not aggro. Deal with this pack and just walk into next room sticking to left side of the room. You dont need to pull them all.
Guy with shotgun was also beatable, just kite him, and dont let close to you. If he get close though, just watch for his moves, it will be obvious when he raises his shotgun. Evade at this moment. Ele’s shield of reflection doing wonders here, when used at right moment.
