LoL. Kinda defeat the purpose of massive pvp, gw2 will break the lowest maximum player record.

This is what happens when marketing comes before gameplay.

What I'd do to fix WvW

Ballistic.2570

In my opinion WvW has only 2 major issues. 1 Skill lag. 2 Server population.

In a nutshell, I’d double the number of maps to 8. Cap the players per map at 30 per world. Decrease the number of servers to 15 each on EU and NA.

The major issue in WvW imo is skill lag, the enemy blob’s main weapon is the lag they inflict. solution: get rid of the blobs. Cap the player limit at 30, let’s get some zerg action going. There will still be skill lag of course but at least it might be manageable.

More maps for people to play on. Same amount of players, just spread out more. Small maps, preferably closer to EB than Desert in design.

Server linking does not work. It should be scrapped ASAP. Originally WvW was 1v2, which is good. Then I think server linking was supposed to make it 2v4 I guess? This week on Desolation we are 1v5… balanced -.- oh and FSP have enough players to server blob all 4 maps at peak times. Anyway I would permanently merge the medium and low population servers to lower the total severs to 15. This at least would give some stability to the servers.

Additional:
1: Get rid of desert borderland; it’s too big.
2: Get rid of reward tracks: they draw in PvE players
3: Make gift of battle easier to get.. The reward track again draws in PvE players.
4. Stop putting in incentives for PvE players…. Seriously, they just want to karma train and I suspect they are not geared properly for WvW.

Anyway that’s what I would do. Would it work? probably not but it would be a step in the right direction I think.

If they eliminated the skill lag, then yes I would pay a subscription.

Do force and accuracy sigils stack?

Identical ones do not apply(like 2 force in one weapon), but different ones do stack, so yes you can use both in your GS and gain both bonuses.

Do force and accuracy sigils stack?

Ballistic.2570

As I understand it, sigils of the same type don’t stack. On the wiki, Force and accuracy are both classified as the ‘Attribute bonus’ sigil type. To me this means they do not stack.

The PS warrior raid meta build recommends sigil of accuracy and force on gs.

Just looking for clarification one way or the other.

Gw2 player burnout, PvE gold Grind

You didn’t mention if you harvest the nodes in your home instance. Just curious if that was overlooked or intentional.

I’m a bit hazy on the details of home instance node farming, I’ve never been to my home instance. Don’t you have to buy the nodes for ludicrously high amounts of gold/gems. My guild is lvl 64 so the guild nodes are quick and easy.

Gw2 player burnout, PvE gold Grind

All this farming is no good. Endless farming is not fun and in my opinion it drives people away from the game. The only viable ways to earn gold in gw2 is through farming. If you want gold you can farm bloodstone fen, do Auric Basin multiloot, Silverwastes, node farming and so on. The PvE side of gw2 is just a gold grind. Players get to lvl 80 and start farming for gold, then after a little while they realise the game stopped being fun and they move onto something else.

I have a daily routine for gold making that I knock out quick, that way I can get onto the fun stuff. I personally enjoy WvW very much. Unfortunately it’s an expensive facet of gw2 with constantly shifting gear requirements. One quarter it’s Soldier’s gear with Melandru runes, next quarter it’s Sentinels gear, this quarter it’s Wanderer’s with Durability runes. The fact is it’s pricey and you will never make a copper out of it. I spend 40g a week just on food and stones.

People farm gold for different reasons of course, in my case I wanted my main classes to be properly geared. Now that they are, I am happy to share my method for anyone who is interested. This is a low intensity farm that will get you around 30g a day and takes around 2 hours.

I do 3 things.

First I do my daily crafting, this is a 7 day cycle. On Saturdays I craft 7 each of Deldrimor steel ingot, Spiritwood plank, Elonian leather square and Bolt of damask. These 4 items each use a different time gated material which can only be crafted once per day. So I log in each day and craft one of each of the time gated materials. On Saturday when I have 7 of each. I craft the above named mats and I list them on the trading post at one copper less than the existing lowest sell offer. The demand for these items is high because they are time gated, so it’s easy gold. I Place buy orders for all the mats on Tuesday night before I log off, This is the time I find mats to be cheapest throughout the week. Saturday is when mats are the most expensive, which is why I list them then. The site to use for this is https://gw2efficiency.com. copy and paste the names of the mats into the crafting tab, change the quantity to 7, follow the instructions, bookmark it for future reference and you’re in business. Average gold per week: around 40. All-in it may be around 50.

The second thing I do everyday is fractals. The idea here is not to get gold directly from the fractal rewards but from Fractal Encryption Keys. You buy 30 a day at a rate of 20s and a fractal relic per key. so it’s 6g and 30 fractal relics for 30 of these keys. You can use a pristine fractal relic at one of the vendors to buy a bag of fractal relics (15). So just by doing tier one daily fractals you can get your 30 keys. be careful though, you can buy more keys at a more expensive price, be sure to stop after 30 as the price will go up and you may not notice. This happened to me when I was testing this method and I ended up buying 150 keys at 30s which is a huge increase over 20s. I wait until I have a stack of keys (250)

The keys are used to unlock a ‘Fractal Encryption’ which is like a loot bag. These are given as rewards at the end of the fractals but you will have to buy most of them off the tp. Put in buy order at around 20s -22s.

Using myself as an example. I do tier 2/3 daily fractals every day, I get a fair few keys and boxes from rewards so about once a week I open a stack (250) boxes. Taking the worst possible situation, let’s assume you have to buy every key and box. 250 keys = 50g. 250 Fractal Encryptions @ 22s = 55g. so that’s 105g max for the mats. opening the 250 boxes is gonna get you 120g-130g so I guess this only works if you can do tier 2 fractals. I make about 70g a week from it with tier 2/3 fractals. After you open the boxes go to a vendor and sell junk (that’s where most of the gold comes from) then sell the mats on tp. It normally takes me a little over an hour to do the 5 daily fractals, maybe an hour and a half.
The third thing I do is one (and only one) Auric Basin Multiloot run. As you may have guessed there’s a long winded explanation coming of exactly what I do to maximise my profit. You need 2 characters and a 3rd character at lvl 53. Each run gets you 15g minimum. It’s where most of my gold comes from really. This guy does a pretty good job of explaining how it works https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dxldl8f7Xsw I just have a few things that I do to ensure that I get the most loot possible.
Okay so I have a thief and a warrior. For this example I’m going to go with the premise the the Meta event will start at 12:00. I move my warrior to the waypoint in the lost city at 11:40, so that when I switch to him later I don’t have to go through a loading screen to get him onto the map. Alot of the time (50/50 at least) he is already in one of the successful maps. So I just drag my emblem into the right subgroup and I’m looting with minimum downtime. The lost city waypoint become unavailable at 11:45 so it’s important to get your second loot class on that waypoint before that.

Next I switch to thief and go to Auric Basin. I like to go either North or West. Thief has powerful movement abilities so he’s good on either. I look on LFG for a commander that is taxiing people in, preferably with 2 or more commanders. This way I’m on a good map. Once I’m on a good map I open LFG and look for a multiloot squad. If I join a squad where my map’s subsquad is full, I leave that squad. The comm will want you to look for a new map or join a subsquad with space. Either option is bad. Leave the squad and try another multiloot squad. New ones will get set up at about 11:55 usually so don’t be tempted to leave your map to get into a multiloot squad. When you see a new multiloot squad pop up in LFG, jump in and drap your emblem either to the bottom; forming a new sub squad, or to an existing subsquad for your map with spaces. This really is the key to the whole thing so I hope I’ve described it clearly.

Now that you’re on a good map and in a multiloot squad; you can’t lose. Your well chosen map should finish the event at at about 12:10-12:12 any later than this and you’re losing out on loot. even if only 5 maps succeed, you can whip through them quick on a fast class, and then swap to your second looting class and go through them again. You should definitely be getting kitten rares each run.
At 12:30 it’s done. I take my warrior to the pvp area (access to a bank) I check tp prices, I sell any rare worth more than 44s and salvage the rest. I deposit all the bags into my bank. On Thief I do the same, into PvP area, check tp, then salvage, then put bags in bank.

On Saturday I open all the bags on my lvl 53 character. I use most of them for my weekly crafting cycle, which really increases the amount of gold I get from crafting. I salvage the ecto that I don’t use. Ecto salvages into Pile of Crystalline Dust at an average rate of 1.8 and also gives alot of luck. It’s a good way to get more magic find and it keeps AB multiloot attractive to people who sell their ecto, although at the moment you’ll get more gold by salvaging it and then selling the Piles of Crystalline Dust.

Bonus: hop over to the guild hall and mine those nodes. This is the only node farming I do, it only takes a minute.

Anyway that’s my daily routine for gold, It’s not amazing or anything but on average, when everything is taken into account and totted up; I make around 250g a week by doing this. Then I swan over to WvW and get smashed by blobs on EB… but I love it xD

P.S This is one loooooong post. If you read it all you have my condolences. It’s 4 AM here and I can’t sleep o.o

Sell or keep Eternity? (solved)

in Players Helping Players

Ballistic.2570

I crafted Sunrise about a year ago and I decided to craft twilight because I prefer that skin. The plan was to craft Eternity and then sell it and use the gold to buy the juggernaut. That way I could get 2 legendaries for 1 gift of exploration (which I’m never getting again). Predictably now that I have it crafted I really don’t know if I want to sell it anymore.

Here’s the pros and cons of keeping it.

Pros:
Sets you apart (PvE)
let’s people know you’re good (WvW), adds to the prestige of the guild while zerging.
It is an improvement aesthetically on Sunrise
It really is a good looking greatsword
I don’t really need the gold. I can farm plenty for day-day play.

Cons
I’m not actually in love with the sunrise skin, if it was the twilight skin 100% of the time with the added glowing hilt and footfall effects I would keep it for sure but sunrise is only an ok skin imo. Most of the time it’s a wine colour. I was very disappointed with it when I got it first. All those screenshots of a blue and cloudy sword… yeah not so much. So the fact is that 3/4 of the time I’m gonna be looking at a better Sunrise instead of a better twilight.

All the gold would be pretty sweet. Full ascended gear for my thief with precise agony infusions so I can use him for fractals and raids. I know thief doesn’t need the extra precision but… I want it ^^

TLDR: Eternity or The juggernaut and full Ascended gear for PvE main.

Sell or keep? I’m not sure what vibe the post will give but I really am 50/50 atm.

Edit: gonna keep it, It’s just too kitten tempting and sexy too

Double edit: Decided to add a pic of my swag, I’m really glad I kept it now, it was a close thing. Thanks for the help forum.

I upgraded my graphics card yesterday. I enabled on-screen-display in msi afetrburner so I could see how bad the bottleneck is and decide on upgrading the CPU.

I was on WvW for about 2 hours running with my Zerg, doing Zerg things and getting into fights with blobs. GPU usage never went past 50% and spent most of the time in the mid 40’s. Which is fine for now. I was concerned about CPU usage which spent most of the time in the mid 70’s and spiked once to 82%. Even in fights, where FPS dropped to 20, the CPU was tipping away at 78% usage. I have a 60 hrz monitor but the only time I got 60fps, was running places, and even then it was in the low 50’s more than 60.

TLDR: CPU capping at 82%, how do I get it to use 100%

Is GW2 the best MMO?

Ballistic.2570

I booted up gw2 earlier and for the first time in weeks, I had a real nice time online Got in some good fights on EB, is there anything better? Not likely :P

I’ve been playing Blade and Soul since early access and I can honestly say it’s the worst game I’ve ever played, I would actually have to class it as diabolical (in sarge voice). I’m gonna leave it at that.

Playing BnS has made me aware of just how bad a game can be. I’ts got me thinking: is gw2 the best MMO? Gw2 has alot going for it, it’s not perfect but it’s pretty good. If I had to describe it in one word, I would say it’s ‘fun’. My only gripe with it, is that there is now no effective way of ‘just playing’ the game for gold. You have to grind for it. Which would suck if I didn’t already have my WvW main fully geared. Sucks to be a new player but I guess they should have started playing sooner shrugs.

I haven’t played any other MMOs besides gw2 and BnS so I’m looking forward to reading the replies to this thread. Let me know what ye think

Best way to play for gold?

in Guild Wars 2 Discussion

Posted by: Ballistic.2570

Ballistic.2570

I’m a player who plays the game to get gold as opposed to a gold farmer, who farms for gold and then quits the game when they reach their goals, with the exception of WvW players.

I have always done dungeons and fractals for gold, along with the odd Silverwastes event map and on a good day I could churn out 50g. All the while improving my skill level and having fun with pugs (mostly).

Now my ability to play the game for gold is gone. Dungeons are dead and fractals give zero gold now. Agony infusions were always the secondary source of gold from fractals but they are going to go through the floor over the next few weeks as more players get into the much more forgiving fractal set-up.

This leads to me sitting in Lions arch twiddling my thumbs and wondering how I’m going to get some gold to take advantage of the crashing prices on the tp. I’m not willing to do a gold farm, as I want to play the game, not grind gold so that I can ‘play later’.

So how are people that play the game to get gold doing it now that HoT is out?

Ballistic.2570

I recently started playing WvW and I’m struggling to find an infomative youtube channel(s) to tell me everything I need to know. This finding stuff out as I go approach is a bit outdated.

So If some could recommend a youtube channel where the uploader has commentary explaining what they are doing and why. Class strategies, explain how the different classes work together, what you should be doing in scenario x, y and z on all the different classes; that would be great.

This information is easy to come by for PvE and it’s quite easy to come by in online co-op games I’ve played. I’m worried people are not wanting to share their knowledge at this stage, which is a little sad if true.

Edit: I’m so silly, I always kitten up the first post I do lol. I mean all of the above in relation to Zerg fights. Commentary explaining Zerg fight tactics etc. I know there are plenty of vids of zerg battles but none with informative commentary as far as I can see. An example of what I’m looking for would be a youtuber who while dodging an incoming Zerg push dodges to the side and then explains that zergs tend to move in a straight line so you should dodge to the side if you can as dodging backwards is usually a wasted dodge. that kind of thing.

I find world completion to be a nice relaxing activity. I’m working on my sixth word complete at the moment, I’m well over 80%. I know there are a number of people that despise world complete, but there are probably just as many who enjoy it.

Yeah, that’s absolutely true. I did it to “save gold” Which I guess worked. It was just alot longer than what I had expected. world completion saves you around 1000g but for 100 hours that’s 10g per hour. From dungeons etc you can expect to clear around 6 – 7 g per hour, maybe 8? once everything is accounted for. it’s hard to know. anyway as a gold saving mechanic world completion is on shaky ground.

If you’re goal driven, world completion is a bear. I never rush it. I do a bit in each zone as I’m passing through. I run through a heart, I kill a few things. If an event is up I do it if it’ll fill in a heart. I get a point of interest near where I’m running in passing.

Often, by the time I get to z zone I need, I’m 80% done with it, then I bang out the rest. The only thing that makes it a chore is focusing on it exclusively.

Hell if I go to Teq, instead of standing around waiting, I do a bit of the zone before it starts. Same with any world boss really. So you get it done while doing or waiting for other stuff.

I did it all wrong lol. It was the last thing I needed, so I went from around 40% to 100% in 5 days. Brutal. 100 hours is just an estimate it might’ve been around 80. The worst by far was an area in the shiverpeak mountains, with I think 43 POIs. I took 4 hours in that one zone.

Just crafted Sunrise (cos I’m a kitten). Here’s my feedback on it.

The good: having to get WvW rank to 14 forced me to play WvW and I really like it. So that was a pleasant surprise.

The Meh: It’s mostly a gold farm really. And an Ecto farm is you know your dungeons ^^

The horrendous: World Completion.

So World Completion. First off, here’s some ideas for improvements.

1. Hearts could have red rings on the map, marking their effective zones.
2. The mini map could have the same level of detail as the world map.

My advice to people thinking about crafting a legendary: Just buy it instead. World completion is a kittening nightmare. People will say things like “it’s easy” which it is. but it’s also a 100 hour mind numbingly boring grind; it’s the worst seriously. And I know some kittenheads will be like “100 hours!? scoff scoff, I do world completion in 1 hour and 15 minutes using nothing but my rock hard kitten for the keyboard controls” the kittens.

Anyway, that’s how I feel about it. Now to craft Twilight and make $$$ off Eternity

For the utility skills “1” “2” “3”. If the middle skill “2” is on cooldown and I switch the utility skill in slot “1” or “3”, the newly switched skill will be on the same cooldown as the skill in slot “2”.

Example: signet of precision in slot “1”. Banner of strength in slot “2”. If I’ve recently used banner of strength and the cooldown is on 50 seconds, if I then switch signet of precision with balanced stance, balanced stance now shows a 50 second cooldown. So I cannot use balanced stance until the 50 second cooldown is finished.

My disappointment with guilds :/

in Guild Wars 2 Discussion

Ballistic.2570

This is not an attack on guilds, or an attempt to insult anyone. This is just an unbiased view from a player new to PC gaming.

I switched from console to PC a few months back because I refuse to buy a next gen console in their current state. I had a preconception of how guilds in MMO’s operated. Which has turned out to be almost the polar opposite of how they actually work.

I had thought joining a guild would be like joining an organised team. Set daily schedules for different activities. Groups decided on ahead of time based on a balanced mix of skill to give the highest chance for success for all the teams. So for example: I thought an event of dungeons would go something like this:

Dungeon tour 21/09/2015 @ 19:00 GMT
Dungeons: AC-1+2+3, CM-1+2+3, TA-up+fwd, SE-1+3, CoE-1+2+3, CoF-1+2, HotW-1+2+3.

Team 1:
Team 2:
Team 3:
etc etc. And that that would be posted on the forums by the guild leader.

I thought this would be the case for all aspects of the guild. That if you were doing something with your guild, it would be a highly organised and smooth operation. After all, why else bother with a guild?

I had also thought that TS and guild chat would be dominated by a running discussion of tactics and game mechanics.

By now you are probably rolling around laughing at how naive that notion was. My experience of guilds has been largely positive and enjoyable but they are nothing more than a loose grouping of players. It’s very difficult to sync up with guildies. I like to run dungeons and I’ll sometimes manage to party up with some guildies for one or two of them. But even then, alot of the time I find people use guilds to get away with stuff that would not be tolerated in pugs.

As for guild chat… it’s just that, people having a chat; which is fine. I don’t know why their isn’t a ‘friend chat’ option though.

Anyway to summarise: I thought guilds would be highly organised, and informative.

Reality: A way to get guild commendations for ascended trinkets.

just use a utility/food buff combo that complements your build instead of slayer potions. the dps you lose/don’t gain against X mob will even out since you will be doing the same vs everything.

if you are using slayer potions for the reduced damage, you need a piece or two of toughness gear and need better dodge management.

generally, slayer potions are only really useful for singlewashed dungeons, like Arah, TA or CoF. the +/-10% can be nice, but I have found its almost never preferred over a solid stat boost utility and might stacking/stat boosting food.

I just like to be optimal in a dungeon run. I don’t think it’s too much to ask to know what enemy type we are fighting.

So which is it? And what resource should I trust? Is there a way to identify an enemy type in-game? and if not, Why not?

I’ve never heard of gw2dungeons.net…. but the official wiki backs me up
wiki.guildwars2.com/index.php?title=Sons_of_Svanir

I think I’m starting to see where the confusion is coming from. On the wiki:
Wollam the Plunderer, Race: Icebrood. Organisation: sons of Svanir. How absolutely pants on head kittened is it that both potion types would not work here.

That’s the equivalent of having a potion that boosts damage against humans that doesn’t work against outlaws in CM.

So to be clear, it’s the organisation and not the race that matters for potions?

idk where you got your information from…. but you are misinformed.

Lets take path 2 for example.

2 of the 4 bosses you fight are icebrood, (Torn Fur + Jaddeor Icefist) the other two are sons of svanir. (Andal + Wollam)

True… Andal has two icebrood quaggan with him… but if you had to choose one potion for this fight…. and you are going through as efficiently as possible… you would use a svanir potion and the quaggans would die from cleave/aoe used against Andal long before Andal does.

Path three has all Sons of Svanir Bosses (Svánigandr + Sorge’s champion + Sorge) with the exception of the champion icebrood ogre, which is more of a dps sponge than he is an actual boss encounter…. and this fight also comes with two silver sons of svanir rangers.

There is almost always an equal or greater amount of Sons of Svanir over Icebrood in every path.
Unless Arenanet changes the icebrood and the Sons of Svanir inside HotW to all be the same type, you will never really have a better experience running one potion over alternating potions.

Hell… some of the sons of svanir mobs…. like the Rangers and Casters even summon icebrood wolves or elementals.

Either you use a svanir potion the entire time for a slightly better overall experience…. (vs icebrood potion) or you use both of the potions and alternate between encounters…. sometimes switching potions for switching foes mid encounter…

Idk about you…. but to me, in a casual run its really not worth it to keep my inventory open the entire dungeon spamming alternating potions instead of paying attention to my rotations and positioning.

On Gw2dungeons.net Hotw p2:
Jaddeor Icefist is listed as Icebrood
Belgren Creedbreaker is listed as Icebrood
Andal the thug is listed as Svanir
Wollum the plunderer is listed as Icebrood.
That’s 3 of 4.

Gw2Dungeons.net HotW p3:
Icebrood Goliath is Listed as Icebrood
Svánigandr is listed as Icebrood.
Fimbul is listed as Svanir
Sorge the Zealot is listed as Icebrood.
That’s 3 of 4.

Now I’m not saying that is their actual type because I’m not so sure anymore, but that is what they are listed as on gw2dungeons.net.

The title restrictions on these forums is bonkers.

Anyway, what I mean to say is that the recommended potions for dungeons on GW2dungeons.net and other resources are often misjudged imo. For instance on HotW p2 + p3 it is recommended to run potions of sons of svanir slaying, but 3 of the 4 bosses on each path are Icebrood. Only an easy ‘nothing boss’ on each path is sons of svanir. It just seems to me that the recommended potion for HotW P2+P3 should be Icebrood slaying. You’re going to want that extra damage against the bosses not the mooks, Am I right??

The truth is people rely heavily on these resources and often do not know the enemy type they are fighting. Just today in CoE a member of my guild was running Inquest slaying potions and he didn’t believe me when I told him Alpha is actually an undead. Which is what prompted me to make this post :P

Use the right potions people, it helps ^^

Edit: Was thinking of GW2dungeons.net not Dulfy.net. I have edited the post to reflect this.

FIX AC ALREADY!!

Every other time I try to run this dungeon, the NPCs bug out. It’s getting to the point where I’m considering not doing it because it’s so unreliable.

Bugs I encounter regularly (NPCs bugging out):
path 2 at traps
Path 2 at ghost eater
Path 3 at wall before run to final boss
Path 3 after killing final boss

That’s too many chances for a fail in my mind. Pull your thumbs out of your rectums and fix the core game before releasing more buggy trash.

I know it will never get done though Why bother right?

I was referring to the ground targeting. There’s 3 different settings to choose from. but you have to choose one for all skills. You are not able to pick and choose for each skill that uses ground targeting.

I hope that’s more clear. I’m not the best at explaining things unfortunately.

Hi,

I’ve been playing for seven weeks only, so I’m still very new. Some of what I’m suggesting may have fixes in-game and if that’s the case please let me know. These are just some things that have bugged me during my playtime so far.

1. I play warrior and I’m always trying to stack 25 might, but the digits displaying the stack number are far too small. I wish there was an option to have the number display over the icon as opposed to in the corner.

2. Auto-targeting. I think you should have the option to key-bind this. I want it on when fighting groups of enemies or when fighting enemies in quick successsion, and off the rest of the time.

3. Fast ground-casting. Why can’t you set different casting speed types for different skills that use ground-targeting. Of everything I list here, this one I think actually should get sorted out. I believe a game should have streamlined controls not restrictive ones like this.

4. Dye application restrictions. I find this infuriatingly limited, I use the Arah heavy helmet, it’s mostly gold, which means the horns are gold. I want to make the horns black, while keeping the helmet mostly gold. This is apparently asking too much. Why Anet, why!

Everything else is fairly awesome, good job Anet.

Edit: edited point 3 to be more clear.

All of a sudden I have screen tearing...

This is what I’ve tried so far: I’ve made sure all my drivers are up to date, I’ve cleaned the inside of my PC (it wasn’t dusty), I’ve unparked my cpu cores and I’ve set the frame cap to 60 in-game. I also double checked the screen is set to 60 hertz. None of this has made the slightest bit of difference. I don’t understand how I can just suddenly start getting screen tearing 6 weeks into playing the game.

And yes obviously it is putting a damper on my gaming experience

Figured this out, as long as I stay in the area I start in for about 10 minutes it’s all good. Also i don’t use TP in the first ten minutes.

A couple of reasons, it causes latency for one. My avg ping is 65ish which is about as far as you can push it on a warrior (which is what I play). The second are more important issue is that if I enable v-sync, as soon as I enter Lions arch or do a demanding event like a world boss, V-sync will lock my fps at 30 which is not good at all.

Been playing for about 6 weeks, have my graphics set up so that I get 55 -60 fps usually. This will drop in places like lions arch etc. Anyway I logged on today and I’ve been have problems with screen tearing all day… I don’t want to turn on v-sync.

Any advice would be appreciated

I don’t think that’s the issue, if that was the case wouldn’t the disconnects happen throughout the day instead of in the first 10 minutes (typically) and then being fine after that.

What dungeons should I add to my sweep next

in Players Helping Players

Posted by: Ballistic.2570

Ballistic.2570

I play a full Zerker warrior (I’ve been playing for 5 weeks, but I’m keen xD). I’ve been working on dungeons (thanks youtube ^^) and I can now now complete the easy ones competently. The dungeons I can do are AC 1 2 3, CM 1 2 3, TA up fwd, SE 1 3, CoF 1 2. I do those everyday now as part of my sweep. Not sure which of the medium dungeons to add and in what order. I tried to get into a HotW lobby (I really want the chest, leggings and boots armour pieces) but people leave the party as soon as I join or join and immediately leave if I host my own party.

So I’m not sure which dungeons are next on the difficulty scale or whether I should leave dungeons for a while because there is a massive difficulty spike at the medium level and I’m simply not ready.

I’m also at fractal scale 14 and intend to get to 26 asap (and if you don’t understand why…maybe this is not the thread for you <3
