Hey OP. IoJ has one of the largest WBT trains in game and is almost never stopped. It maybe that you’re in an off timezone or just didn’t know.

The WBT starts every night at daily reset (5pm server time, PST).

I would watch gendarren fields chat or join our servers VoIP to figure out where you’re starting for the night. I’m not home now but feel free to mail/Whisper me wen I’m on and I’ll you know more about it!

Going off server time here (PST, sorry)

I generally, and my server generally views it as following.

Ocx(Oceanics): 12/1 AM-5 am PST
SEA (South East Asia): 5am-8 or 9 am PST
EU (European): 10am-2pm PST
NA (North American): 3pm-10pm PST

There a few in between hours where only certain countries/guilds can run in due to geography. Russian guilds for example cover one of those in between hours or so, so are highly sought after.

But why not just release it with the reset/season start seriously. Now its mid season with bugs to fix from the live game (We all know there will be bugs). Imo bad move on anet to put it there.

First, Dragonbrand better not get another free pass. I’m ready to make accusations of match fixing (FA likely to have a lot of transfers, a lot of gems to be bought….).

On the same note, it’d almost be worth rolling the nigh impossible odds that would take SoS to T1 (for one week only) to see BG vs DB.

I’m told a lot, I mean a lot, of people and guilds are ready to leave FA if they are stuck in silver.

Hey guys, I just wanted to pop in here cause I know a lot of people don’t visit the WvW forums or match up forums.

Wanted to see what the PvE/Casual/Mixofallthegamepeople think of the new WvW season 2? Just a few questions I’ve been wondering about below!

Did you like S1 and why if you did?
Do you feel S2 will improve WvW?
Do the rewards, you feel, justify means to get them?
Do you feel more compelled to enter and help WvWers this season with LS on a break for at least the first week of season 2, or not?

Not even gonna bother replying to above posts. The game is best at an equal mix of both. Theres fight, Theres PPT. People should stop going hardcore in either and just play the game.

I hope for SBI/DB personally. I want to see how we fair with a few Xfers we’ve gotten. SBI peeps keep saying they’ll still beat us too, So I want to see if I can prove them wrong. Even if we should be focusing DB, That can wait til leagues imo.

I kind of hope for SoR… I wanna see how dead it is!

Apologies if I read over this several times, or its just obvious for most, but how will the first match up leagues be?

Will it be the three servers closest to you in Rating (Ranks)? (Seems the most likely to me)

Will it remain random, but within the league for the first match?

I’m assuming its not technically “Predetermined” like season one since this is a new system.

Just coming by to thank all the servers for their interest in our EU guild, All 4-5 of your guys buy offers were generous and never even considered. So politely kitten off, I’m getting really annoyed by the amount of Mails and Whispers you people are sending.

I do not mind helping anyone actually interested in our EU Timeslot, But if you want me to relay you to the guild leader to only spam him to join your server/offer him a large amount of gold you’ll be blocked immediately from now on and your name added to a growing list of people to give to the other Coverage guilds so they can ignore you as well <3

No, SoR is in the worst position EVAR!

Actually id say that IoJ was in the worst out of all 3, as given SoR’s rapid rate of decline threw the rankings, losing approx. 80 points per week ranking, by end of next week they will likely fall to T4 and push IoJ up into T3, and im not sure that server has the coverage needed to compete.

We will be fine, As long as SBI doesn’t sit around picking their bums T3 will be fun and competitive. Will DB overpower in SEA? Yes, but Im pretty sure they’d overpower even T1 SEA slot that’s just how DB is. IoJ has at least 1 large guild in every time zone with plenty of militia.

We’re all looking forward to T3 on IoJ. YB and BP cant do anything without 5-15+ Omega rushes it seems like, Or Omni-Guild blobs. Its quite boring and unsatisfying.

Look forward to seeing you in t3. Sadly, it will just be a battle between you and us for 2nd, since neither of us is stacked enough to compete with DB or FA.

If we get any guilds we’re talking too currently it definitely bolsters our chance against DB/FA. Especially with how many PvE players will be out the first 3-4 weeks. It really depends who Xfers where the next couple weeks. Looking forward to facing SBI again though without those poor and rude guilds that drug down your rep.

On IoJ now. As with second I never witnessed the first Exodus. However I began playing almost right after. I remember my first time going into WvW. We were ticking +5 but regardless there were people out there fighting and pushing to regain all of our stuff. The commanders and community was so amazing those first few times that I’ve become a hardcore WvWer for the past year. No other community truely compares to how IoJ is. I’ve been on all the top 9 servers currently with my alt to check out what it’s like else where.

IoJ has one of the best and most stable communities now a days and you won regret moving here.

I have to agree and say, Not even close.

Not only does it allow more burst, food, stacks, gear, but in my opinion is far more difficult than Spvp. There are cookie cutter builds, but if you meet someone skilled in their class while you’re not skilled in WvW Roaming but running a cookie cutter build you’ll probably lose. WvW also allows for far, far more build variety than spvp ever has or will.

We duo’d ET’s bay keep last night, then were in the process of duo’ing ET’s hills keep before one guy showed up and managed to make us reset the lord room. There were no other players from any servers (including ours) running on that map.

This was less than an hour past NA primetime (around 10:30pm CST), by the way.

As much as I’d love to protect the awesome small fights we get in the lower tiers, the time window for any actual gameplay is limited to just about 2-3 hours per night and then just completely shuts off. We NEED mergers at this point.

I’d just like to pop in and say 2 things.

1. I feel that with the presence of how strong 15+ golems can be and/or 3-5 Superior Rams, And with golem mastery on the way, That fortify should not only affect walls but doors as well. I know its not from “EoTM” but its absurd how fast measly gates drop with either of those combos.

2. I’d just like to throw my support out there for the 2 resets a week. Friday 6 PM Server->Monday 6 PM Server->Friday 6 PM Server. It gets rid of a lot of issues regarding morale through a week and its not too short that your gold sink on upgrades is completely useless.

Cant really comment on the SoR “Tanking” comments, but for Ebay as we’ve recently played them I can say that there is effectively no real WvW presence left there. Extremely boring to fight them.

It really depends how you and/or your server mates view 24/7 coverage. In a blatant term Isle of Janthir has 24/7 coverage. We have dedicated WvW guilds that raid 6/7 days of the week in every times lot.

Or you can take a more refined version and say 24/7 coverage is you dominating 2/4 (2/3if you combine OCX and SEA) times lots essentially allowing you the win for the week.

Anyway, there are more than just two new masteries. There’s siege golem mastery, reinforcement mastery, and assaulter mastery.

Siege golem is self explanatory.

reinforcement mastery just says: improves ur ability to get back to the fight (the another one with ‘faster and safer’), gain bonus exp from enemies, gain improvement swiftness when leaving your base, reduce cost of armor repair, gain stealth when you leave base, and if u have less than 5 supply, periodically replenish suply when leaving your base.

assaulter master just has two for now: gain buffs, send players back to base and ‘stuff’ for killing enemy players — gain buffs when killing players and sending them back to their base

It really depends what each persons definition of zerging is. However it is, as stated above, the slowest way to get Wxp in general (there are of course the extremes where entires servers in match ups agree to train it).

The fastest way is being in a guild and FIGHTING enemies. The drops+kill exp amounts to more per hour in a hard/overwhelming odds match up which is what 90% of servers end up in. This of course is nullified if all 3 servers have essentially decided to I more rah other and train keeps/towers all day not defending anything at all. This almost meet happens though.

Typical T1, Cant debate Coverage in match up forums anymore on the official forums, Bring it to every anywhere near relevant post available so we all have to here about their crap and world-ending issues.

Are you randomly assigned a color/faction or do you choose among the three? If so, I choose blue, the Aetherblades.

The way it’s assigned is base on server color of the week for WvW. So you will be put into maps with ALL servers of the same color that week.

It’s trivial to believe they’ll release the map without PvP— The entire maps design revolves around PvP. The events, the three sides, the buffs, etc.

However EoTM is not an “Active” WvW map as being there doesn’t benefit your server in any shape or form.

Ioj stands no chance in T4. From what I heard from a friend in ioj, commanders let the enemy take their keeps so they can take it back.

As for T2 balance, SoS got 3 guilds that can basically que maps. I’ve fought them all and they are just blobs running around.

As I haven’t been extremely active on IoJ the last month or so I cant speak for them, but when I left this was the exact opposite of what we did.

If you’re NA time zone I’d suggest FC then. If you are off hours, I’d suggest SBI
