We all agree that they should be doing this, but they haven’t and they haven’t said they will so its up to the community. They are too focused on reviving the dead sPvP and trying to make it into an eSport where GvG is a x10 better and more watched thing.

It’s Saturday at 12:30pm server time. That’s a pretty heavy NA time, since it’s 3:30pm EDT and everyone is off of school and work. There are plenty of NA folks on right now.

No, 12:30 PM is EU prime time, NA doesn’t start til later, even if its the weekend. Hence I said a lot of people are on from NA since is the weekend. Through the week, where matches are decided, this is EU prime 5 days>2 days

• Connect the map chat between the Main cities
• Disable Team chat in WvW and leave only Map chat
• Disable Map chat in PvP and games like Keg brawl.Leave only Team chat.

I never understood why there were more than one chats active at the same time.I find it useless.I talk specifically for Map and Team chats.Nothing else.

Sorry but team chat is needed in WvW as it has at least a higher thresh hold before automatically blocking you, high enough most people never hit it. Let alone its generally viewed as Team in WvW= WvW Things, Map=General Chat.

Don’t count out YB out for the top 3 we now have a reason to make a massive showing in WVW. I will just point out season 1 predictions put YB at 5-7? yet we got 2nd. Put up a good fight and the results will be earned that’s something all your calculations and number crunching cant predict. Also have all you predicters also considered what effect the upcoming patch will have as well? Too bad it comes in the middle of season 2 but your only counting numbers, rankings, and coverage what if the wvw meta entirely changes? Not trying to talk trash but do not count your chickens until they have hatched.

YB during S1 was a militia server galvinized by just a few pivotal figures. I don’t doubt that they still have an enormous militia force that will turn out for the tourament. But few of the S1 leaders remain. I would predict YB for 2nd place if DK were still playing, but I don’t think anyone else can instill the organization and dedication that is necessary for militia to prevail (ppt-wise) against guilds.

I would love to be proven wrong.

YB was queuing 3 maps last night at 1 AM server. DK might not be back yet, but almost everyone else is. Not to mention the addition of new commanders and several new havoc guild xfrs.

I’m definitely rooting for you guys!

3 maps @ 1 AM PST is scary tbh, and FA should be worried about that. However will you get that during the hard week coming up is debatable. Though YB militia has proven itself before! Just be sure to stomp the silly “HoDorians” and let em know what’s up

The WvW issue hasn’t ever really been server issue as much as it is an engine optimization issue.

You know just ask kindly in a whisper to the commander. Most of us don’t mind at least going for the needed POI/Vista to be honest. Are some gonna flame you? Sure, but don’t give up. Personally if someone asks I tell them I can try but to not expect it. For those of you who don’t know there are some extremely hard towers/keep to flip with anything short of a golem rush/massive Zerg.

Eternal Battleground:
*Red
– Overlook Keep: Most annoying keep in the game to take, generally in a tough/balanced match you’re going to either need a massive Zerg who listens or a 5+ Golem rush. Hard to take due to siege placement as coverage allowed in the keep. Best to draw out a battle over 2-5 hours while draining and pressuring it.
- Veloka Tower: One of the most difficult towers to take in the game. Generally requires the KEEP to flip first due to Treb, Balli, Cata coverage from the keep. Even with the keep flipped well placed siege can keep it very easily defended.
- Ogres Watch: Hard to flip during prime times. Easy to flip during off times generally. Treb from keep can cover its door as well as most cats spots. An additional teen inside placed well can hit all Treb and cats spots making it hat to flip with defenders.

*Blue
- Langor: Another extremely difficult tower to take. It can be covered by mortars and treble from the keep, as well as well place siege inside can insta melt rams.
- Bravost: Pretty much the same as above.

*Green
- Jerrifers: With its unique terrain and set up you have to be extremely fast to cap this tower. Jerri can be covered by numerous catas and trend from the keep as well as well placed unhurt able ACs insid the tower. Generally you flip the keep before this, but if you can get 3+ super rams up while green is up north you can cap fairly fast.
- Klovan: Same as above really, keep makes this a hard tower to cap.

Borderlands
-Garrison: most servers will insta queue a map to protect this structure. Best to try in te off hours or with at least one coordinate good guild.
-Hills: Due to terrain ACs reign here. Well placed siege can stop an assault as soon as it begins. Best to try to get this puppy on reset night or Friday pre-reset. A server can realistically hold out for hours upon hours in the lords room alone if they are smart enough.

Just a quick assessment of some harder things to flip in the maps.

I never use google translate and eastern languages are 10x worse on it due to, especially in Kanji and Trad. Chinese, there being several meaning for one character and combining characters can mean several things as well. A lot of times a verb, tone, or previous variable allows you to know which is which xD

If you are playing late Oceanic you want to look for a strong EU coverage. For that i’d suggest IoJ, Mag, SoS, FA (Wild card, They may implode time will show us). DragonWagon has the weaker EU.

I feel their fair weather effect is in full force for HoD currently, Come tough match ups they will probably crumble. However they could still be a very solid T3 server.

1.FA Even without GvG balls they are the most experienced WvW community in Silver.
Plus coverage.
2. HOD They have a lot of wvw guild transfers. And even though first few weeks pve players will confuse the picture they will still be able to roll through the rest to challenge FA.
3.SBI/IOJ/YB – pretty much up to luck. All three are Militia based servers due to loosing main wvw guilds to high/lower tiers. Will depend on match – ups. Whoever gets more pve/fair weathers of these 3 will win 3rd.

6. BP They can actually do very well as soon as they stop killing each other.
I think they Could probably beat yb/sbi/ioj if there was no PVE achievements involved.
7. CD might do much better than 7 if those transfers stay after their first week. But generally fair weather and band wagon players will jump to the winner anyway. If their transfers stay they can do very well.
8. NSP will probably have the most loot bags in this tier.
9. SoR lack of wvw guilds will hurt them in the long run.

We’ve not lost guilds. We’ve gained quite a few “Singular”
people actually despite high Xfer cost.

So far It seems my judgment of BP is the opposite of many people, They looked pretty decent last week. I’m guessing a lot more people have left since then.

To start with I’ll give you my predicted rankings. Feel free to share yours as well as any thoughts.

1. Fort Aspenwood: A tier 2/2.5 server currently forced into silver yet again due to glicko. Rumors are A LOT of guilds want to/planning to leave the server if they are silver. As these are rumors however and is yet to come true they secure the Spot for first easily.

2: Isle of Janthir: My home server. I feel we can make second after seeing SBI this week. In a competitive T3/weak server in the match SBI doesn’t have the coverage to compete with us. I have my server above HoD because I feel it’s full of fair weather players that won’t fight if met with resistance. We will see though. HoD could very well take this spot.

3. Henge of Denravi: A massive wild card and 3rd in my opinion is a toss up between them and SBI. HoD received massive amounts of transfers with free transfers coming out. I’m told they queue a ton of maps, even if they do their score does not reflect what people say they can do. Due time will tell.

4. Stormbluff Isle: As stated above its a toss up between HoD for third. The reasons I put ten fourth is because of how many maps HoD can apparently queue.

5. Yaks Bend: YB is a persistent server. They’ve shown this week that the dieing BP and SoR can’t best them. However they have always and continue to lack major coverage which is why they fall Into 5th.

6. Borlis Pass: While BP has lost guilds recently and coverage. So have the servers below them. BPs larger NA and NA persistence will bring them out above CD/NSP/SoR I believe.

7: Crystal Desert: CD is in toss up for this spot with both NSP and SoR. However I feel they deserve this due to the simple fact they continue to have a large SEA presence that can demoralize servers fast. Even with the loss KoME.

8: Northern Shiverpeaks: As said above a toss up for 7th place. NSP likely has a larger EU and NA force than CD. However it’s to be determined if the SEA force will get to ten and gain through the week.

9: Sanctum of Rall: As I said I have SoR in a toss up for 7th as well, simply because of the fact they have yet to face CD and NSP. SoRs recent exodus has had them tumbling down for at least a month now and continues to bleed players. However they’ve shown they will perceive the and recover. Time will tell

Sorry, but I do not see how that hotfix would in any way address this issue.

Since it only seems to be occurring in this match-up, how could it not be a server issue? If it was a client side issue or coding issue, wouldn’t other match-ups also be reporting this problem?

It’s not just out match up though read the whole thread. It doesn’t seem to be all servers though.

It’s likely not being sold, either being prepped for self use and stocked up or pots are being made for guilds/servers WvW S2 as stated above.

20? id think it’d have to be around 200 to be on par with similar costs for previous tomes, but that’s just like my opinion, man.

With tpvp the amount can be predicted… but if you’re a romaer in wvw it could take hours to get 20 badges. If you’re on a losing server there will be no trains.

General rule of thumb is an horus work for a tomb. 200 is 8 horfus work on some servers.

e.g. I roam in wvw… I’d be luck to get a tomb in a week, let alone an hour at 200 badges

point taken, might be difficult to find a ‘fair’ price.

WvW continues to cater to larger scale combat, While roamers may earn less badges/hour im pretty sure anyone that’s wvw’d for 3+ months has 5k+ badges saved up by now..

No. Unless you have a source explicitly saying that the league position your server is based in was set that day it was not. Last weeks “lock In” was for what servers prices would be determined to. If your lock in was final that week I do not see why they would have a week inbetween the xfer change and season start as the 1 week lockout doesn’t even begin til the 28th.

eh i think it still needs to be a bit more limited. it should cost some gold some badges some karma and a laurel or two.

OR they could make a mystic forge recipe that requires some combination (im just going by what i get a lot of in wvw):

1: gifts of battle,
2: something bought for skill points or gold from miyani (seige upgrade?)
3: something bought from the laurel vendor (tastes of wxp?)
4: ingredient costing karma (obsidian shards?)
5: something costing gold (crafting mats/elonian wine?) should be sub 5g
6: essences of luck?
7: ascended crafting mats?

Why do you feel laurels need to be added when both the other game types could spend X amount of time farming per day to get levels where you’d have us locked into at least one level per day? Not trying to be rude but genuinely Curious!

Another thing to consider with the loss of NV/Meow for FA, is if DBs OCx/SEA will be able to keep them more in the race then FA is able to currently.

Will be an interesting reset and weekend that if fo sho.

OP is looking for a generalized start time, so 12-1am for Ocx would be best as NZ is the earlier starter it doesnt pull as much weight. Ill edit my post so the Answered post is up to date with how people feel on the timezones.

Mine are really rough estimates though so if people do want to come in and refine more feel free to.

Pretty sure Mag and FA are safe — either of them can probably pull 25 rating out of the tier 3 matchup, and DB is probably going to lose 25 rating in tier 2, so FA should just pass DB with the 50 point swing.

Yep, that is why I am asking this question. I’m trying to get feedback from other players about which of those worlds might have more activity during PST than my current IoJ.

I’ll talk to the guys and gals that run the train when I get home about how late the train runs. It’s been a while since I ran with them since guild WvW cuts into said time slot.

Regardless to answer your question people refer NSP under the free xfers for event things but you are running late NA/early OCX so IoJ or SoS would likely be the better places for you since they consist of large oceanic populations in the game. It’s about know who’s running what where and I’ll try to get you in contact with the right people ASAP.

I’m actually pretty hyped about this feature patch, but for all the wrong reasons. Anet has struggled with class balance thus far and their history of play-testing before implementing has been way less than stellar. I can’t wait to see what kind of kitten they break by dropping 40 NEW TRAITS in one day.
