Sit back, relax. Join Voice Comms (Most of us dont yell like those popular Youtube videos). Sure it can get hectic in TS at times with all the calls but no one is literally screaming like Kid did.

Most community Websites were started by WvWers for the sake of WvW, with PvE coming in as it grew, check them out even with megaservers making your server irrelevant for most of the game.

Lastly, Ask your commander in Whisper. If you ask in map/team people are just going to troll you out. Most commanders (At least on NA) will give you a reason why they cant/wont at that time, or agree to try. You guys have to understand the gamemode. Certain towers are easy caps while others require pre-req caps sometimes. (I.e. Veloka is a kitten to cap without capping the keep). Most “Inner” towers are what you wont see flip as often as “Outter” towers. Again just ask the commander, join comms, the website, learn the mode and RELAX. Dieing =/= Death IRL (Unless you’re on Magumma)

Everyone aggrees with you Vav. Except ANet. GvG in its prime would drawn 5k minimally for a match like this that was hyped so much. It’s sad to see it down to barely 1k and struggling.

We probably won’t ever see an Agg v TA in EU because Agg has always refused to go there for GvGs. While Ping is obviously an issue. Until you have a properly company support LAN system NA v EU will always have lag issues against each other.

GvG would be far more entertaining and watched then most tPvP competitions. A year ago you coulda popped 50k viewers per GvG easy im sure. Now a days… maybe 5-10k absolute tops.

Let me explain to you why you cannot guest on worlds in another region.

There are two databases: European player data is stored in our European datacenter, American player data is stored in our American datacenter. This is to ensure that people in these regions can still properly play in case there is an issue with the connection between the datacenters.

When you do a world transfer from the US to the EU (and vice versa) your player data is transferred from one datacenter to the other. This is not the case with guesting, as you are still “registered” on your home world.

I understand that some of you are disappointed that you cannot guest on worlds in another region, but considering the complexity of internet routing, our main priority is to ensure that players have as much of an uninterrupted game experience as possible, which is the reason why we have two datacenters.

You stated it is technically infeasable. Which can mean two things.

1. It is technologically impossible with current technology. Which we know is not the case because at the very least, GW1 did it.

Or

2. It’s technically infeasable, using the other meaning of technically as ou interpreting the deva saying it so.

Reading the dev quote all I read is this.

While we understand you guys would like this feature, however we will not so it because there are two data centers and we don’t want one data center to keep lag minimal. However we could do guesting with a lot of time and effort but we don’t want to deal with the challenge of that let alone the numerous bugs and crashes to personal clients it would cause for a while when using the feature.

Logging in just to agree with what buns said. Those objectives have been flipped MULTIPLE times in EVERY time zone this week for us. How you’ve missed then I don’t know.

mos.millenium.org/NA will let you have a live map— slightly behind compared to I game overlays but you should be able to get there in time.

Or ya know… Just log in and follow your karma train for probably 2.5 hours tips to get them.

WvW map completion is EXTREMELY easy if you just relax, have fun, and let the things come to you. Granted the same maps 3 times is quite boring at least I don’t just have to auto attack 3 or 4 times or sit afk on a skill point while I tab out an auto attack to get map comp.

Most people that play WvW make their characters run instead of walk, then it only takes a few minutes to get across the map.

For a lot of ppl that play wvw, it’s all about their guild/guildmates. The mode itself can be fun, but wvw is too broken to fully enjoy it w/o the guild aspect.

WvW is an absolute blast. You really should try a dedicated WvW Guild before giving up on it altogether.

Pugging is an absolutely atrociious experience for me anymore. I only get enjoyment from guild runs and commanding anymore.

You wont get an answer that WvW is good from here either, We all think its just a kitten as you, but there is no other decent RvR game in the market for another year and half which is the only reason Gw2 retains its RvR population. Even though ESO is really, really, really bad. Some people go there for something new anyways.

Are you kidding me? Around of 40% of precursors drop registereds are from WxW drop (Lv up chets, and player kill drops). Also, wxw is well know as one of the best ways to get t6 mats (All of’em, due to heavy loot bags). And for last, KARMA and SP are really strong in wxw.

If you are a single transfer we do have guilds in every timezone for you to choose from. Ocx, SEA, EU and NA. From single to duo roaming, to 25 man blob busting.

I transferred the 28th around 5PM.. It is now the 30th at 9AM and I am still locked out.

Just because the date changed to the day the tourney ends doesn’t mean you aren’t automatically locked out. Both regions have yet to have WvW reset which marks the true end of the tourney.

It is likely the server Hosting DB or w/e. Ever since the patch i’ve been getting horrid lag and DCing.

But warriors are a hammer train in WvW. Meaning yet need to take a kitten load of damage, and still come out swinging and able to blast/condi remove/CC.

I wouldn’t taken any stability utilities with the first build just have a guardian or two in your party. In the second build I’d take endure/fgs/balanced.

On my realm (Isle of Janthir) I’ve started WvW and loved the concept, But can’t even play due to being outnumbered 6 to 1. We are #2 out of 3 and the third isn’t far behind. Stormbluff Isle (#1) controls 76% of eternal Battlegrounds and 62% of WvW. the only reason they aren’t 80% or more is cause the 2 realms get champs and towers and forges sometimes. I understand the fact that its cause people aren’t logging into WvW often on our realm but who wants to when we can’t get past our starting point without a group of 20 people to escort us… I like the idea of being able to roam around with 5-8 people and have fun which doesn’t even work out cause SBI has 20 more than us taking us out in our own base with all our people in it with siege weapons and everything. They pour in in a couple dozen and take everything out, While they are taking our forge, tower, and traveling to other bases. I believe that Arena should limit the amount in and have a que for it to be fair and an actual challenge, not just one realm roaming around uncontested. Thats just EOTM, in eternal Bgs its our only hope and we still have trouble. Its not like we lose all the time, in eternal we can get 50% but them EOTM is taken by most of them and them they swarm into eternal and have 80% until we regroup. considering we have to wait for them not to be somewhere to do anything makes WvW boring. Also I’m not gonna switch to SBI just to face roll through PvP, thats for Warcraft. Anyone have any ideas on what we can do to help our realm (Isle of Janthir) and also our fellow losing realm (Crystal Desert). It would be much appreciated.

WvW is coverage vs coverage, the games designs forced this huge flaw to the surface.

The best time to enjoy WvW is Friday night, when most servers can rally players onto each map.

Pretty much this. Our Coverage is stronger this week then SBIs but their NA makes up massively for the loss due to CD having no body.

I wouldnt worry too much either OP. Today is Patch Day and all servers have really Heavy PvE populations more so then WvW. Just keep up the good fight in NA. We have a few guilds considering us post-seasons in the NA slot to make sure stuff like this doesnt happen as often

I’ve lost the count of how many times I’ve had to duo towers and 4-5 man keeps because that’s all my server could muster at the time. 3 people in the tag is a lot depending of the server you are and the time you play… But i know that wasn’t the issue there.

On a guardian? Nawh, the current meta, previous meta, and likely future meta is GWEN (Guardian, Warrior, Elementalist, Necromancer). As you core classes.

Ranged Pressure and CC comes from your eles and necros through Static stuns, Earth Wall, Chills and Fears.

Granted I guess that Guardians do have a LoW (Line of Warding) but that can be easily stabled through.

I believe you must play 50% and over over the tournament on the server you xferred too. So if you stick out til the end it should change sometime the next 2 weeks!

Healing power scaling tends to go to complete kitten after ~900 though I believe. So you can do just as well hovering around that much.

Warrior>All of those in terms of control IMO. Earthshaker super spammable compared to anything else. Though a good ele static or a good necro well bomb can turn the fight in an instant.

You COMPLETELY missed the entire point of this thread.

The OP isn’t asking why people do GvG at all. They’re asking why people who do GvG are such kittens.

Because people interfere with them? Seriously people troll and go into GvGs to be kittens because we are taking up spots in the map, but all they are doing is extending our stay by AT LEAST a half minute, upwards of 3 minutes a time for each time you interrupt a GvG.

To the questions of why we dont ALWAYS go to Obsidian Sanctum? Because there may be another GvG going on there perhaps? and if you and another guild on your server or 2 guilds scheduled a GvG at the same time and day as you, you are forced to go to a different map (As most GvGs take place on Wed/Thurs. When the match is ALL READY DECIDED).

ANet not supporting, and only mildly— extremely mildly recognizing GvG is an ongoing thing makes planning around each other pretty much impossible with 3 servers and 5+ guilds each server in T3+ that do GvG.

But seriously If there isnt anyone on OS, you can always kindly ask them to relocate and most guilds wont mind doing so as OS is a better place then the BL maps.

I’m sure JQ will settle for third as long as BG doesnt get first.
