So. . . if doubling the drop rate wouldn’t work to lower the price (ignoring for the moment that it would at least double the chance of actually pulling one yourself), then what method would you use if your goal was to dramatically reduce the cost of Precursors on the TP (without collapsing them completely like giving one to everyone for free).

Making a not so hard way of getting them, for example, why spend 500g on a precursor when you can make one with 200g and some effort, thus making prices around 300-400g depending on demand

I have 0 legendaries, I think legendaries are awesome (excluding the minstrel and kudzu and bifrost unless you’re a mesmer), some legendaries aren’t worth it, like the scepter or the shortbow, they both need aura and footsteps, there is a prestige to getting them as much as their is prestige to having the emperor title, legendaries mean you farmed cof for a long while or you can make a lot of money with the tp, being a noob with a legendary though is worse than just being a noob, legendaries aren’t legendaries anymore though because everyone has them, that’s why I’ll just wait for new legendaries

Doubling the drop rate would decrease the price by give or take 100-200g, after people notice the decrease of the price a lot more people who weren’t going for a legendary will go for one or another legendary, increasing the demand noticeably thus price will increase by a lot, either going back to original price or more, your idea will only decrease the price of unwanted precursors for legendaries where the supply is a lot more than the demand like storm or the bard, etc…

How do you do p1 in 8 minutes, running from the first wp (at the beginning of the dungeon) to the endboss is going to take around 3-4minutes.

I’ll just stick to strife’s videos, since it also explains every boss mechanic and how to counter it, and I’m not really trying to set a record, so, 2 or 3 warriors, 1 mesmer and 1 guardian, and then any other zerk class if I’m using 2 warriors?

I’m looking for a fast speed run team composition and video guides, I know strife’s videos are still good, but there are better videos, I’m also asking which build each class should use, I’m not really interested in getting a record for lupi, killing him in around 90 seconds will be more than fine in speed runs.

People who run p4 are mostly hard core players or people wanting the dungeon master title, or they want the tokens, that’s why PUGS in p4 will mostly contain new timers, I recently pugged arah p4 and I was lucky, team composition was 4 warriors and 1 guardian, simin was easy enough, took us a little bit over than 2 hours, mostly because I suggested to melee lupi when 3 of the party members had ap less than 2k, and melandru can be a pain in the kitten sometimes, 2 of the pugs were first timers though, I think run could’ve been 90 minutes if we didn’t try to melee lupi or take that long in getting to melandru, stupid gorillas…
As for arah p1, only hard part is skipping mobs, getting from ancient ooze to ghost champion, if first timers followed what experts say everything would become much better.

Where can I find an arah speed run team build, which classes should I take, videos, I watched some of strife’s videos but they seem outdated, as in there’s someone who does it better than strife, and I’m also looking for a video guide for all paths, also what builds should the classes that I take use, etc…

Are they going to use gift of mastery and gift of fortune or not, I know the most viable option right now would be to save gold if you want the new legendaries, but I already have the gift of mastery and I’m really not a fan of any of the current legendaries, I like the scepter but, no footsteps and aura…

sometimes, just for the fun of it, I like to use reflection aura on my ele and start spamming 1 (using staff, earth)against jade colossus and see how many rocks on the air I can have, sometimes…

Yeah, please remove it, kite fortunes and supply tokens should be normal mobs drops and not chests, I was doing fractals 28 once and saw a wooden chest, I was like “ooh a shard”, you can imagine my disappointment when I got a kite fortune…

I’m pretty sure anet knew of the return of cs, why do you think they cancelled MF, they may have sugarcoated it and said it’s so that people don’t ruin dungeon runs, but it’s actually there to limit the rewards of CS farming…

I once got the weapon that looks like spark, the cheap one, not the expensive one, it looked like spark so I was happy for a moment there, then I realized that it’s usoku’s needle and only cried for 3 hours…

You’re basically saying anet should nerf maximum dps builds because they do maximum dps…

I was with a thief once, in a level 28 or 26, we had 2 guardians, an ele (me) and a thief (him) and another class that I don’t remember, (probably a warrior or a guardian), anywho, thief kept saying how if we failed badly he would quit, now as you all know, swamp can be a pain in the kitten sometimes if you don’t have a mesmer, so we failed a few times (3-5), every now and then he would imply that we are noobs and act like he’s better than all of us because he was level 48, even though we had other level 48 in the group so, when he said " If we don’t do it this time I’m leaving," I just snapped and wrote “dude, if you want to go then go, nobody’s forcing your hand,” good thing he left because we did it exactly the first time after that, then we 4 manned bloomhunger and looked for another party member, we got a mesmer and the run went smoothly.
Some people’s build can be really bad, but I’d choose a bad build over an elitist kittenface anytime

Everyone doesn’t have to include me, I actually like the legendary shortbow, I still think it needs more effects, but I don’t like the bifrost, staff could’ve been so much cooler but, something like a particle from each element spinning around it, and maybe changing footsteps, like, Predator’s footsteps when you’re in fire attunement, bolt’s footsteps when you’re in air, week but footsteps that change depending on your attunement, eles could have such cool legendaries but anet doesn’t like eles.

So, you don’t like it that better groups are going to make more money… and believe me, the w/m trend is not going to die, people that do cof will start doing hard dungeons, it will be bad at first but eventually we’ll start seeing arah full runs with a w/m party as a pug group

true… you get most of the achievement points from doing very random stuff, dungeons and wvw give almost no achievement points even though most of the players in this game do them.

Make them as awesome as the GS legendaries… nuff said

I don’t see how that makes sense. I can (and did) fractal dailies on multiple characters already. Why do we need yet another attack on players with alts (and a need for multiple equipment sets) when the current system allows for players to obtain Pristine Relics multiple times a day already? Making the level account bound is just removing the grind redundancy before you can access the rewards you’ve already earned while also allowing you to access content on a greater variety of characters without punishing you with more grind “progression”.

The original levelling system makes sense to do it once because it eases players into learning fractals and their mechanics before upping the difficulty. Once it has been mastered once, it doesn’t need to be mastered a second time. Grinding Progressing another character through lower level fractals without any kind of reward is simply a time sink and it’s not fun or compelling gameplay. You learn how to play your class on your way to 80. You learn how to play fractals as you level it up. You learn how to play your class in high level fractals by playing high level fractals not by grinding low level fractals in the name of grind progression.

There is no need to make Pristine Relics account locks, in fact, it harms the game and players with multiple characters by doing so.

I pug all the time, my guild doesn’t do a lot of dungeons so I mostly pug, even if they do dungeons it’s mostly cof p1 >_<, they’re nice people though, anywho, I mostly pug arah or fractals and so far, I’ve been seeing more good guy gregs than scumbag steve, I was pugging this one time an this guy kept dying a lot, at the end boss he said “thanks for not kicking me,” when someone wrote “I’d rather die than be that person,” maybe since a lot of people on the forum run with their guild/friends think pugs are all kittens/noob, because guild runs are usually better and guildies are nice, but they just like to over exaggerate pugs and make unnecessary drama.

To anyone that says that giving low ap to wvw is anet’s way of saying do pve, it really isn’t, finishing all dungeons doesn’t give you a lot of ap, what really gives people a lot of ap is
1- Doing dailies (pvp and normal)
2- Doing monthlies (PVP and normal)
3- Doing temporary content (zephyr sanctum, halloween, SAB, etc…)
4- Doing spvp

organized and well planned roaming is better than zergs, instead of a 30 man zerg, having 6 5 man group attacking towers and taking supply camps is better, but it’s still going to be very hard to take keeps, and it’s not that hard capturing towers with a 5 man party, just get 2 rams and use them, if you need any supply, just take from the camp near the tower that you’re going to attack, not all of the roamers will capture the tower, but I’m pretty sure atleast 2 will get towers

Be a man and earn that gear…

What if something happened to the party leaders computer? I get a blank screen sometimes and need to restart the game.

If you dc the party doesn’t get kicked out of the dungeon, they only get kicked out if you leave the party, it used to be so that if you dced that everyone would get kicked but it doesn’t happen anymore.

stop making these threads already, we know that, we know everything, we already have enough cof p1 threads, if there wes even any decent dev on this forum he’d just merge all these threads, something like “cof p1 and the new changes (merged)”
and those so called “elitists” are just people who want to run the efficiently and make the most money in a short amount of time, and it does require a specific build, it needs a dps build, why would you grab a tanky build against bosses that do almost 0 damage, and no, it doesn’t create an unhealthy dungeon community or destabilize the market, only thing going to change is the amount of molten lodestones, they’re going to be more expensive, and as for the solutions, aren’t they going to do that?

A hammer and a sword for eles, god, we need an ele with a hammer, and I’m surprised eles can’t use swords in the main hand, it makes more sense than using dagger.

I do agree, the UW and FOW in GW1 were actually “explorable” whereas the Dungeons in GW2 are just storyline paths in the same area. I would love to see more paths for each dungeon or maybe different ways to complete each path kind of like they have in FOTM (dredge fractal for example can have two different final bosses and two different ways to get to it)

doesn’t the dredge fractal has 2 different final bosses (machine and elemental), and 2 different ways to get to them(guns or bombs) but these ways are mostly luck…

I am aware that the game as a whole needs more armour sets and designs, but specifically with the event rewards I am getting a little bit bored with the usual selection of either shoulders, gloves, head and back pieces.

Don’t get me wrong, the majority of the time they look pretty awesome and I have found a use for them with one alt or another.

However, I think it is about time they started introducing chest, leg and boot rewards to mix and match with the event skins we may already be using rather than force us to choose to replace with yet another helmet etc that has the same skin for all armour types.

I realise that there is more work involved with creating these items for all three armour types, which would need to be done so that people can spot at a glance what armour/profession an enemy is in pvp/wvw, but a constant stream of items that only fit in the same armour slot is beginning to feel a bit lazy on the design team’s front.

get to 15k ap and they’ll start talking about boots,chests, and leggings.

I can totally see a hammer ele, but I’m really seeing a staff warrior…

They aren’t tied to anything, its just a weapon set, but since not everyone does orr roaming (killing a lot of mobs in a low amount of time)and it’s not that easy to get 5k kills, making each dungeon completed = 50 kills is fair for dungeoners, also, the concept of the weapon is to be a “living” weapon, the same concept this game is using for updates, instead of 1 huge expansion, a lot of small updates over time.
