Basically, making legendaries a skin that can be used by all the characters, more or less, +1 from me

pact pistol and rifle are pretty cool, CoE and mystic pistols and rifles look kitten, CM rifle is good, fractal pistol and rifle look epic, there will also be new weapons at july 9th, and lets just say, they look nerdgazmazing

Is there ever going to be a sure way to get the fractal weapon skin that you want?

The main issue we have with dungeons, excluding fractals, is the difficulty/reward/time ratio is out of whack, for most dungeons, you’ll come out with 60s-1g depending on gold find, for example, arah p3, which is the easiest arah path, if compared to other dungeons, difficulty would be 2-2.5/5,but then, lupi… so 3/5, the good pug group can do it in 40 minutes if you don’t wipe, yes it’s true that some people can do it in 10-15 minutes but we’re not talking about well organized guildies/friends who spent hours studying the dungeon and probably did it more than a hundred times, we’re talking about average people, so, arah p3 would be 3/1/40 minutes, and cof p1 would be 0.75/1/8 minutes, seeing the problem, seeing the problem, arah p3 is 4x harder, 5x longer, so my point is, why do people who do hard and long dungeons (insert that’a what she said joke here) get the same reward as people who do the easy dungeons, anet can do 2 things to fix it

1- Nerf the reward of easy dungeons, but can you imagine the raging on the forums
2- Increase the reward of hard dungeons, which anet said that they’ll do, 6-7 months ago

PS: this doesn’t include fractals, because I’m not level 48 yet, thus my knowledge is insufficient, but a dredge fractal level 48, I mean, I tear a little bit everytime I get it in fractals 28, so I can only imagine what’s it like in fractals 48

p1 is easy, only did it once though, other that lupi, all bosses are pretty simple, other than lupi and the annoying hard mobs, the only thing annoying about arah is the huge mob skipping, and very far away waypoints, I mean, they stopped res rushing, why do waypoints have to be that far way, they should make a waypoint at the end of the corrosive light tunnel at p3

Give me a break. You can get a precursor, if you actually want one, in multiple ways:

1. Daily boss reward chests
2. Random drop out in the world
3. Gambling with Mystic Forge
4. Buying one outright

All of these things are easily doable.

3 of them are luck, 4th one is anything but easily doable

And so Legendaries are now supposed to be easily doable without luck?

it’s a node that will be introduced at july 9, if you complete the meta achievement for the new update, you will get one each day at your home instance

I really like that guy, unfortunately, there is no need for him in the pve/wvw sections of the game, if he said take cover every time you needed to take cover, bosses are going to be easy, and in wvw if he said you’re getting assualted, well you just canceled stealth factor of capturing anything

I’m probably going to sound noobish by asking this, but what’s meta?

1- Incinerator
2- Gift of mastery, 77 mystic clovers and gift of baelfire (500 cof tokens)
3- vial of liquid flame, gift of metal, in other words, gift of incinerator
4- I’m going for a legendary as slow as anybody can go for a legendary, hopefully before 2014

well my problem is i just made the gift of wood and feel like i’m commited to continuing this kitten project i started however i also remembered to buy all the exotic inscriptions for both professions and made myself my first exotic shortbow and was thinking maybe i should screw making a legendary just make my longbow instead the same way besides both long & short bow legendaries seem kinda i dunno the word for it….gay ? shortbow shoots rainbows & unicorns and longbow you walk around and makes a path of flowers/grass on the ground who in the hell came up with this stuff ?.

Those bows are ridiculous, even if you could make your character look like a kid, and for those who have a male ranger, i’m pretty sure they wouldn’t like to use a pink bow with a unicorn that shoots rainbows (unless they are gay, but not everyone is gay, yes, there are straight males in this world, if you are not familiar with this). Some Legendary skins are beyond ridiculous/pathetic, like The Moot, for me, that one is a kittening bad joke to the players.

I think they’ll be used to craft new armor and weapons, and they’ll probably be tradeable or can be acquired from different methods, otherwise only people who completed the meta achievement will determine the price of the items you make with quartz

some PUGs are very nice actually, and can be very helpful, my guild doesn’t really do the dungeons I like doing (arah and fractals) so I mostly pug them, but I really hate elitist pugs who think they’re better than everyone and ragequit at the 1st wipe.

My group usually has more guards so I often ran my war, and she is way under-reward for the fractals we ran, .ie. 20-30s at 38/48. And I got 10 skins, sword, ax, mace, rifle and even w/ 1 dusk on her runs. On the other hand,my guard at 48 and she got zip on everything she ran. Nothing. Just another meaningless anecdotal evidence.

wow, that’s exactly how I feel about the game, I usually just do arah or fractals and not really in it for the gold, but gold seems to find it’s way to me, though a legendary is still a goal of mine, but not in the top 10, I just want the legendary before 2014, I’ve been playing since prelaunch

I’m currently in 3 guilds, a guild that I represent all the time, a guild called arah lfm, basically a list of people willing to do arah, and a guildie of mine made a guild for the guild stash, genius idea btw, we’re only 2 members though.

I think everyone is cursed with a fractal weapon that will always appear for him, tridents, harpoon guns, torches, focuses, longbows, and it’s usually not something you’d want

on a side note, fractal torch is pretty kitten for guardians, I mean… blue flames, you can’t hate that

I know your pain, I only have 2 fractal weapons, 2 longbows, wth anet, shouldn’t all weapons have the same chance of being dropped at dailies, either I’m wrong, or I’m bad luck brian

We’re probably not going to spend achievement points, we’ll unlock them when we get to a certain achievement points, for example, to buy a weapons, it’s going to cost like, a 1000 dungeon token, and atleast 4000 achievement points to have access to buy the weapon, something like that

I don’t think they should nerf cof, I think they should increase the rewards of other dungeons, like doing arah (A difficult dungeon/path, not necessarily arah) gives you 50s and more karma at the end, with a higher rate of getting exotics and rares, that way, people who do other dungeons will also get stuff

It’s not really that bad if you have a good group, but what saddens me is that it’s going to be more difficult with lower rewards if they ever added it to the fractals

I’m in the 20s right now, mostly 26 and 28, the 100 fractal per run seems good, I get average fractal weapons, 2 so far, 2 longbow…, but i’d like to get to 30 and 40, they say 48 has a 23% chance of getting a fractal weapon, also I’d get more dailies, thus higher chance of getting weapons and rings and more relic, doesn’t look like a total waste

Yes, what you said is true, but if the recipe can be bought with fractal relics then sold at the tp, then fractal relics will have an actual gold value, not a theoretical value, and I don’t want the weapon to be easy to get, with what you just said, the weapons is more gold farming than fractal farming, and everyone will be walking around with fractal weapons thus fractal weapons will lose their prestige.
tl;dr
Your method is too easy and doesn’t involve a lot of fractal farming, my method will still keep the fractal weapons’ prestige and will put a gold value to fractal relics, 1350 fractal relics=Xg

Why have the ability to craft fractal weapons
Because people need to have a way of getting the fractal weapon they want, not saying it should be easy, but there has to be one

How are they going to craft it
Fractal weapons should be crafted like normal weapons, in order to make a fractal dagger, you need to have weaponsmith 400 and learn the recipe.

Acquiring the recipe
You can get the recipe from either the guild merchant for commendations, or the fractal merchant using 1350 fractal relics
Recipes can also be sold at the trading post or very rare drops from 20+ fractal chests
If you buy the recipe using commendations, it’s account bound, if you get it using other methods, it can be sold on the tp

The recipe
2-3-4 fractal ingots depending on the weapons, 2 for a weapon like the focus or the torch, 3 for a weapon like the sword or the scepter, 4 for the 2 handed weapons, and 20 pristine fractal relic and a gift of ascension + exotic insignia

fractal ingots can be made by a 400 weaponsmith, huntsman, artificer, You need 2 fractal ores to make a fractal ingot, fractal ores can be salvaged from fractal weapons. salvaging a fractal weapon can result in 1-3 fractal ores, or from the mystic forge, just put 2 shards of crystallized mist essence + 5 globs of coagulated mist + 10 vials of condensed mist + 1 gift of ascension

definitely save, if you put 450g, you might get something but there is a chance, don’t know how big, you’ll get nothing and you’ll spend a lot of time regretting and crying, but if you actually save for 150g more, which can be aquired through 4-5 days of cof farming, you’ll definitely get spark.

if you have 4 arah experienced players in your party then arah should be fairly easy, I know because, and you listen, not listening to what people say can be disastrous in arah, coe p1 and p2 are easy, p3 is kind of a pain, as for arah, imo, all paths are the same difficulty, except 3 is a little bit easier, they’re still harder than most dungeon though, add me and I can help with arah, I’m in gandara server

underwater fractal is very easy, I’m still at level 28 though, and yeah, dredge needs some serious nerfing, I think it should be divided into two fractals, the switch and the dredge champion, and the gate breaking and the ice elemental/dredge machine

The easiest way to do harpies is for the party to move as one, if you have a guardian, or an ele or a mesmer, you can block or reflect the attacks, and if the whole party moves as one, harpies die real quick, you can also skip the harpies
