I know anet has talked about having a merchant for the blade shards, and I thought who better to bring back than good olé Nicolas from gw1 or at least a desendant of him. He could be that awesome npc that collects old quest items in return for awesome random present prizes. Would be a nice little tid bit in a update for everyone to enjoy and can be used again for future story items. Besides I miss prof. Yakkington.
I recently just got my weapon smithing to 450 and i can finally start making ascended ingredients. The thing that stuck out to me like a sore thumb is that i can only make 1 elder spirit residue and one lump of mithrillium and have to wait 5 hours till i can make another two.
Other than being a huge inconvenience can someone explain to me why these are on cooldowns? At first i though it was something to do with selling them on the TP, but they are account bound so whats the deal?
Please stop bringing this up. Guild Wars has never had, nor needed mounts. That’s one of the reasons I like Guild Wars better than other mmo games because it more or less realizes that kind of stuff is just unneeded cosmetic fluff.
And honestly tell me that a Charr riding a horse (or anything) would not be the most ridiculous looking thing you wold see in your life with the dozens of clipping issues we have already.
It will probably just be SAB World 3, although I hope that I am wrong.

I miss all the shenanigans anet would pull on us in Guild Wars 1. I don’t know why they decided to change their minds on the tradition of messing with the players.
I’m honestly on the fence with this wardrobe system.
On one hand I am so excited that finally all our armors and weapons that we spent so much time trying to earn will finally be available account wide via skin. Seriously I love this idea.
On the other hand I am not a fan of the whole warp charge thing. I seriously believe that if we unlock the skin we should be able to apply it whenever we want with no kind of fees attached to it, like the Hall of Monument skins. Hopefully these warp charges won’t be something we can only earn via gemstore, or a ridiculously low drop rate.
Is there some kind of forum joke that people are in on? Every thread that basically talks about the elder dragon at the end cutscene always has these people saying that this is the elder sea dragon (bubbles). How in the hell can you watch that and rationally think to yourself “hmm that looks like the ocean it must be bubbles.” ?
I’ve said it before in a thread a while ago, the layline goes through Queensdale, through Metrica Province, and straight into the Maguuma Wastes. I can remember a video where a member of arena net specifically says that there is a jungle dragon in the Maguuma wastes.
It’s even fairly obvious in the cutscene that the area has plants, glowing insects, fallen trees, and there is even a butterfly.
Please someone explain to me why people think this might be in the ocean.
let me make this perfectly clear. This dragon is Mordramoth not bubbles. If you watch the cutscene the layline goes through queensdale, through metrica province, and straight into the maguma wastes. Then it goes down into the earth, not water, and wakes up mordramoth. I even specifically remember video word Dev said that there is a jungle dragon and before it was called maguma wastes, it was called the Maguuma jungle back in gw1.
sorry but it is not bubbles I don’t know if people are saying that to be funny or to misguide people but I just keep getting annoyed whenever I see someone say oh it must be bubbles because the layline went into the ocean when it clearly did not.
This name is pretty special to me because way back when i first started playing GW1 my first character I made was a Warrior/Monk and this was his name.
I always tried to make him some kind of holy warrior but never could make a build for it so he just mainly used warrior skills.
Then 6 years later when they announce Guardians i say “holy kitten that’s what I wanted Sam to be like!” I guess you could say he is immortal to be alive for this long lol.

Did you forget that Abaddon is dead, Kormir assumed most of his power, but Lyssa took the element of water? Grenth is ice, not Dwayna…it goes on. So…still, my point stands, numbers are really about the only similarity.
Well seeing that kormir wasnt a god to begin with I dont see why she even matters.i say jormag for dyana because Grenth is the god of death so why wouldn’t zhaitan go with him . and abbadon was water to begin with. not trying to encite needless nerd rage all im saying is that the dragons are similar or reflect the gods. Kind of like the facets in gw1 eotn.
Maybe I’m a bit confused and need to read something over again, but it sounds like to me that the only way to get into EotM is if your wvw maps are currently full. I’m in CD and there is never a time where I can think of that I have to wait in a que for wvw.
Anyone care to point out something i missed because surely this isn’t the case.
It’s not the case, you can join it at any time from the B screen, just as you do with any other WvW map.

Im just imagining scarlet arriving in the mists (wvw) only to be met with barrages of cannon, mortar, trebuchet, and ballista fire taking down multiple air ships while her forces are ultimately crushed under the enraged tide of legions of wvw players. Judgement will be swift as we purge this blight from our land
I just don’t see how at a logical viewpoint that stabbing at this things feet would work because it’s made of metal. Blades, bullets, and magic should just bounce right off the kitten thing. Anti armor is the only thing that makes sense.
The asura use some prototype golem suits that are larger than regular ones(bigger versions of omegas). The charr have their big siege tanks and maybe small teams with some kind of anti armor turrents that can punch through the puppet’s armor.But what I think might be awsome is if we lure the giant three headed wurm towards the battlefield and watch as to titans clash with eachother and whatever survives is what we go finish off.
Yeah I remember when I got mine back in 2010. . Has a picture of Logan, Rytlock, Eair, Zojha, and Caithe stockings on it, although at the time I had no idea who these characters were 3 years ago. It also has a bunch of hand written signatures in to too. Thanks for the hint at gw2 long ago Anet.
Idk, I kind of got a little annoyed because my party had her completely surrounded in the cutscene, and yet we just end up letting her walk away with no one stopping her. Personally I don’t like Scarlet as an enemy (She kind of annoys me) so I’m not really looking forward to having to deal with her again. Also still nothing hinting about Mordramoth (nature Elder Dragon) like i was hoping for even thought it would have been a perfect buildup, but oh well. Looks like we will get to fight the Frozen alliance of Zealot kodan and Sons of Svanir or whatever random alliance she makes next…
I kind of hope that this is some kind of introduction to Mordramoth, but yeah it will probably be some Scarlet crap again. Not even that great of a villain. I mean seriously all these plant themed monsters and events are a almost perfect buildup fir Mordramoth.

Oh, no. Women are doing things. Quick, devs, make twenty men to do things. That way we have a nice, exact, 50/50, half and half, TOTALLY EQUAL ratio of men doing things to women doing things.

Not sure if this is happening to all engineers, or just charr engineers, but I just made my first engineer today and noticed the #1 skill’s shooting animation fires from the base of the rifle instead of the end of the barrel. Again I don’t know if this just happens for charr engineers or if its everyone that has this issue.
Can we expect any time in the near future for Anet to finally add in one of the most basic features we had back in Guild Wars?
I was surprised that we did not have guild capes in the beginning of the game’s release, but I just figured they were still working out all the bugs and what not. It would be pretty easy to create something like a guild cape now I imagine considering all you have to do is make an applicable skin for back pieces, or just make the guild capes themselves a back piece on their own.
Maybe they are planning to finally add guild capes in the game and just haven’t gotten to that on the list of things to do yet, but I’m sure I’m not the only one who would like to see a return of them.
I thought I would like to hear some opinions on the idea of bringing back the Dervish class from Guild Wars Nightfall. Personally the Dervish was my favorite class from GW and I was kind of surprised to not see them return in GW2. I do however see some issues with dervish Charr, Sylvari, and asura considering that the Dervish kinda focous around taking on aspects of the 6 human gods. Only reason I don’t mention Norn is because maybe the Norn could focus on the four spirits of the wild.
I dont know what do you guys think about this idea?
Did Glint do something bad, or did they just do it because they were bored and wanted to? I never really thought Glint was an evil dragon. In fact she helped you in the flame seeker prophecy in GW1 if i’m not mistaken.
I made a new character and was bored, so i figured that i would go do the jp in wvw. After almost a flawless run i get the the chest and… it wont unlock. any particular reason why?
Has anyone else recently been experiencing an increased amount of lag, games freezing, disconnections, and crashes? I just had to shut down my computer for the 5th time in a row because the game just froze my pc, and it still continues to do these things. I don’t know a lot about computers, but I do know my security settings have nothing to do with this, and this all started when I downloaded that recent patch where everyone had the issue of being unable to download the last file.
My friend has been trying to play gw2 for awhile now, but every time he fires up the client for the login screen, the game continually makes him re-download every file for the game. What my question is why is the game not saving to his computer and why does it force him to re-download all the files again and again?
Recently my guild just transferred from Isle of Janthir to Crystal Desert ( how I have no idea). I am the only one who can’t seem to make it because the world is listed as full. My question is, how do I get to CD? Do I have to sit here, glued to my monitor, waiting for a spot to open, or just frantically click the transfer button and hope for the best? please help.
