And if you can’t complete it? Big deal! You don’t get the Mad King slippers. It’s not the end of the world like you guys are making it out to be.
You guys are insane. It took me about an hour and a half to get to chest the first time. I’ve done it maybe 200+ times by now. I’ve been farming it for tot bags. It really is easy. It just takes PRACTICE.
I can run BF3 ultra @60fps but GW2 drops fps still?..

My computer is 4 years old and I can still run this game awesomely. It only ever drops to about 25 fps is very crowded areas, like lion’s arch. 99% of the time I’m getting 40-60 fps. All settings are on max except sampling which is on native.

And again, this computer is 4 years old, I can’t even imagine the performance I would be getting if my computer was newer.
If that card is running at stock, then I would return your card. Looks similar to what happens to my 4890’s when I overclock them a bit too high. Even if the card is supposed to be overclocked out of the box, it should be stable and produce no artifacts, not what is happening to yours. Also, run a few benchmarks and compare results to others with your card. If it’s significantly lower+still producing artifacts, then RMA.
Man I’m level 33 and I’ve only got like 50 silver. I just found out by reading this thread that you could sell to other players via Trading Post. Before this I would just go to the nearest NPC merchant and sell all my stuff there. Is that how you guys make so much money? By selling to trading post?
I have a level 30 human ranger and I’ve been playing with the longbow as my main and the short bow as my second. I would say my gw2 experience has been pretty hard up to this point. I play PvE mainly and I die quite a bit. Well today, I just happened to pick up a two handed great sword in a random drop, noticed I could equip it. Really had no idea that rangers could wield swords. Well I’m doing like 3 times the damage I was doing before. I was having trouble doing this one quest with a bunch of trolls but after having the sword, I just blew right through it. The game seems like a breeze right now. If this normal? Do most rangers have a bow as their main hand and a sword as their second? I’m doing so much more damage now it’s ridiculous. I feel like a ranger/warrior now. But I was also wondering why there are so many complaints from the ranger class? Is it because bows do not do enough damage?
I think it’s fixed now, at least for me.
Anyone having problems downloading the new patch?

I managed to download it after a few tries but now the game won’t load for me! I’ve been sitting at the loading screen for like 10 minutes now..
You can assign a key that control weapon sheathing. I’ve set mine to X and it stays sheathed unless I am attacking.

I don’t know if I should leave hyperthreading on or off. With HT off, windows is telling me all 4 cores are being used extensively. With HT on, windows is telling me 2 to 3 cores as well as 2 HT cores are being used. I can’t notice any discernible fps difference with it on or off. Does anyone have any insight into this question?
Terrible performance after switching GPUs

Man, how did you get your i7920 to 4.5ghz? That’s really impressive. My 920 is currently at 4ghz stable with an undervolt. Highest I could do was 4.1, but volts had to be ridiculously high.
Crossfire 4890s 1gb. They suit me well with all settings maxed at 1080p and supersampling on. I never dip below 30fps, although I do not play WvW yet. My video memory is a bit tight though. With supersampling on I am using 1003mb, with can introduce some very slight micro stuttering occasionally. With it off though, it’s around 700-800mb, so stuttering is a non-issue and I get 60-80fps with it off. CPU: i7920@4ghz.
Edit: I hope they don’t add dx11!! It’s nice to be able to max this game with 4 year old gpus and I don’t plan on upgrading for at least another year or two.
