T1 or T2. I have been on YB since the fall of Mag and it is a pretty nice place to hang your hat. Most laid back server I have been on by far. They also consistently play and even in T2 manage to flip every objective on all maps at some point.

I don’t understand the issue here. Playing as Caithe was fun. I don’t know thief either but it was still a very easy missions since the damage was good. It’s only ONE chapter in the game…don’t need to cry over it.

Strategy and tactics are very different between t1 zerg fests and (near) barren t8s.

From a former lower ranked server player, u have no ideia what u’re talking about. What I noticed when I just transfered from BP was that the roamers were actually slighter better in T4+, while the commanders and big group tactics were really, really better in T1, probably because they get a lot more practice here.

As someone who transferred from BG to IoJ to play with a friend, I found that lower tiered roamers were actually worse. In T1 I would actually think twice about attacking someone, in T3-4 I just run in and only worry about it if the enemies start to triple my numbers. I think the biggest difference is the builds in T1 are based around either running away from zergs/fights or stealth annoyance, so most fights end with someone running away or pure frustration. Now this was back at the end of Season 1 LS when I transfered, so maybe T3-4 skill levels have increased since then. I haven’t played WvW for awhile though, it’s just too boring and stagnant.

I just faced ioj last week. It was boring for roaming. It’s either pure condi or a warrior with all invincible skills that try’s to burst you down, if that failed the warrior would run away.

The WvW population has indeed been plummeting for quite a while. On JQ the most dire time zone is SEA – it’s almost deserted. Overall it’s currently the least populated T1 server, but there’s still activity at certain times.

Mostly it’s just a matter of indifference. I don’t think Anet even realizes how little players care about PPT at this point. For the majority (of T1 at least), it only serves to maintain the tier – no one cares if they’re 1st, 2nd or 3rd.
We just want to fight. Commanders from different servers arrange times to be online in order to fight each other (with guild or PUGs). This is the last bit of entertainment left in WvW and you don’t need to maintain a population 24/7 to do it.

Yaks bend is the only server in NA to play the ppt game…they flat out ignore fights to go ppt. Plus bg/tc are trying hard to not let jq fall. No one wants to fight yaks bend.

Every server has players who cares about the score and PPT. To claim otherwise is simply being ignorant.

I’m not being salty. I have a friend on yaks bend who tells me what commanders say. Most have said “we play for ppt, not for fights.”
There are guilds that are “fight” guilds but I see them focusing FA and ppt.

YB has received a number of guilds, which is great. Their population can now better compete with that of SoS and FA.

More exciting is the GvG revival currently happening in T2. We are seeing a welcome return to groups engaging other, similarly sized groups open field. When guilds really want to test their worth, they head to OS and do 15s. T2 has recently seen (and will continue to see) an influx of players from Tier 1 who are tired of blobs and siege.

Yb got a lot of transfers and have the most coverage in t2 atm. They are like the old Sos with less skill.
Sos lost a lot of people when they tried to push for t1 which resulted in the death of mag and lose of those ocx.

Once again still your fault. These are AMERICAN servers for a reason. There are no oceanic servers, which means we only playin the right time zones. Go t1 is your oceanic.

The PST pushes were mostly NA college students home for summer break. You already saw the difference the first week of the season and you’ll see it again over the next few weeks. We’re still stronger than FA in PST, but being greater than next to nothing isn’t much to brag about. If YB and CD even have a modest PST population you’ll see our PST pushes completely grind down (unless they play for second) to a halt.

Our OCX casual pop will probably keep us in the lead, but it won’t be the pre-season blowouts of 100k+ every week. CD is far from a slouch and YB has their keeps locked down all night. Even our PvD trains will get bogged down in their stuff.

This could be a very positive change to T2 if people are willing to give it a chance.

Blackgate has 5 times our numbers, we are outnumbered all day long, and we cannot even recruit people to fight back because our server is “full”. Get this: our maps are empty but the server is full. Why? This is beyond broken.

It’s easy to imagine that somewhere down the code Megaservers do not really exists, it’s all mixed servers and PvE population is still calculated on top of WvW server population. It’s a big mess that should be fixed immediately.

Anet has to reset WvW server population according to the actual number of playing WvW, not according to some abstract calculation of people who joined that server before megaservers were made and perhaps do not even play the game anymore.

You guys do have the wvw force to compete in t1. Always 250k lead in t2. Just SoS is full of fairweathers. Watch next week where you won’t be outnumbered but outnumber mag and FA.

SoS doesn’t have anywhere near the people to become remotely competitive in T1. Have you even taken 1 look at the score? The only reason they have been winning by 250k in T2 is because of the collapse of Mag. Even TC’s SEA easily outnumbers that of SoS, and they are supposed to be “weak” during that time. Just like every other server, SoS has had a very noticeable increase in the weekly matchup. Sure, being up against SoS sucks a bit. It is nothing in comparison to what it is like being up against TC. Just because SoS is dwarfed by T1, that doesn’t mean they are fairwhether. Not that you would know how to even use that word properly seeing how often you love to throw it around like it is your own personal catch phrase.

None of the guilds on SoS, even the ppt guilds, take resets remotely seriously. Whereas you see multiple map queues of FA humping tower and keeps all night all weekend. It has nothing to do with skill or balance.

I’ve seen screenshots on the PvF forums and elsewhere (none of my own) of SoS having 2-3 queues on reset for the first hour at least on reset. FA hasn’t had more than one queue at any point in the week for over a month. Usually just FABL when there’s a call-out, or when the fights are all concentrated there.

Before Mag’s collapse, the SoS and Mag fight guilds would consistently go to FABL because they knew there’d be good fights there, so FABL tended to get a queue then too.

Now though? One queue at the very peak of NA for a few minutes in FABL, usually leading to Outnumbered in EB.

SoS is just inefficient due to blobbing with their numbers in NA, I assume due to lack of pugmanders and concentrations of pugs on those few tags displayed, as I stated previously.

If you actually believe what people say there then you are as stupid as the idiots who pretend to be important and make kitten up for the “lolz”. Most of it is Mag crying about everything because that’s what they do and randoms pretending to be SoS dribbling off whatever people want to hear.

Before Mag’s collapse, all FA would do run completely avoid any sort on confrontation with Mag/Nacho and constantly try for easy caps and back cap all the Nachos hard work at the first possible time. Nacho got kitteny and started to hammer FA keeps and it just flowed into prime time from there. There would be good fights there because you had to call in all the guilds and players you could because you couldn’t handle the heat Nacho brought.

All afternoon while SoS Americans were at work there would be FA blobs running around hitting doors like a bunch of kids in a candy shop. As soon as guilds logged in and rallied up to wipe them once or twice they vanished. I’m sure it was just getting too late for them and they couldn’t stay up for any longer.

Besides it being a few hours of bad ppt for 3 map queues (which were about 10 each and not the 50 you seem to be trying to make it out as) the 1st night of reset isn’t normal. Reset night isn’t a ppt night and all this “inefficient blobbing” is just the first night of reset pugs because it is purely all about going out of a Friday night and having a bit of fun. The difference is FA does it on normal raid night and they are probably better at it because they use their guilds to do it.

Oh, and it wasn’t all that long ago that FA had 4 map queues on reset. It seems FA has done more “imploding” recently then SoS has. Keep crowing about all these guilds are leaving SoS, but all it comes down to is that no-one wanted to stay in a broken tier with a rotting corpse on one side and a massive disappointment on the other. Make up your minds if you want balance, don’t go acting like a bunch of bitter juveniles when a few guilds transfer off.

I think it’s the other way around.
Sos are the ones humping siege. Look at smc when it’s t3, siege capped plus a couple sos on every cannon.

That isn’t even what happened. SoS didn’t have any less of a turn out during T1 weeks of S2. It just didn’t look like it on the scorecard because they were still a fair way off being the right size to compete for T1. Added to most of the guilds weren’t even actively ppting during T1 weeks because it was a fruitless endeavour. As far as “fairweathering out” goes, isn’t that what 95% of the player base of your precious server did?

I’m sure JQ wouldn’t really care less if SoS did end up going into T1 post S2. TC were too busy in damage control to stop from falling apart (even if they wouldn’t have fallen far anyway), and BG was too busy with playing big brother and focusing JQ because they didn’t want 2 T1.5 servers kicking about i.e TC and SoS. Which would have put us into a far worse of a situation then we are in now.

So no EU, all your ocx guilds left, NA always been dead and few sea. Yeah sos is so good…

SBI has lost population again with LUN / ex-HIRE looking to go elsewhere for the season, so barring weird rolls next week I’d pick CD or DR to be the eventual server in T2.
