Yes that is exactly it. Sos has been the weak link in t2 for a long time, Fa/Tc liked fighting db so they both didnt hit you guys much so you can gain glicko and stay in t2. Since sos is in t2 again this week, they have to hit them super hard to make them lose glicko and bring you back up.

May want to transfer again. Db is a sea server now since their na jumped ship to hod

I only left FA because a friend of mine wanted to WvW together. Spent a Week trying to get on FA, Finally gave up and we both went to YB. Sooner or later servers implode. FA will bounce back.

I also found YB is more active when I play the most which is late at night, super early in the morning. FA was simply dead that time of day. Yea, I figured FA took a break during Karma week. Be interesting to see how it goes over the next few weeks.

Yea, I go where the fun fights are. From what I have seen, YB is out fighting and not camping as much as I thought they did. Heck, they don’t really use teamspeak.

I will stay put, but like someone else said, I will go where the fun fights seem to be. So far YB is working for me, things change, I will change servers again, or buy a second account. Its just that simple. A second account is something I been thinking about doing for awhile. Go to T3 or T4 on it. Could be wrong, but YB does not want T1, they dont have the players. Even on reset night while getting into EB is tough, the other BL are wide open to play.

Not to put too fine a point on this, but the OP made it a matchup thread when he created it.

So what if server A has a commander that plays during PST/OCX and wrecks server B borderland during that time? Server B had an entire guild, that queued maps on their own, that PvDed for weeks on end during OCX/SEA. Isn’t that the same thing? Server B bought tons of guilds when server B got sent down to T3, and came back to T2 completely unbalanced. Isn’t that kind of gamebreaking? Server A should just lie back and take it from server B? Server A, which is NOT full, does what server A needs to do to make the matches close, and server B, which IS full, complains? Gimme a break.

Who did server B buy. Please tell me apprently yb believe this.

If everyone would just leave these almost-empty servers then perhaps Anet would fix the issue. Right now it seems that it would take only 4 tier to sustain the whole WvW population.

Almost empty for WvW, there are still the PvE/PvP people to consider as well. I’m not saying that they couldn’t consolidate the lowest 3 servers, but let’s not forget we’re not the only people in the game. Just because the WvW is dead on a server, doesn’t mean there aren’t people on it.

It also means they don’t care for wvw. Or else the server wouldn’t be dead.

To be fair I have seen “suspicious activity”, but I’ve also seen it by all sides. It’s extremely naive to say “you guys do this and my side doesn’t”. I’m just saying spies are not necessary if the commander develops their ability to predict enemy movement. There’s only so many objectives on a map and so many ways to attack/defend them.

I know every server spies. Even fa. I’m just tired of yb coming on forums and complaining about zoom hacks, spies etc and deny they do it also.

It means one server greatly outnumbers all your forces on the map or both servers have blobs on the map compared to you.

Yeah having to fight against spies and cheaters can be annoying. But having a nice WvW centered community is worth it.

Everything is depending on where acs are placed. I’ve seen many many many many yb saying fa zoom hacks because yb just defends. They do not grasp the system Anet put into wvw because they don’t leave towers/keeps. Acs can destroy your defensive acs easy with how the camera changes.
Play yb does this ALL THE TIME. Saying fa does it is saying yb are cheaters.

The last time I played GW2 was well before the megaservers became a thing. It seems like it’s been great for PvE, but not so good for WvW. What ever happened to the big match-up threads and people supporting their servers?

Anet got rid of that section because people were trolling each other in a pvp setting. Anet wanted to care bear things so they now ban anyone talking about match ups.

Look at Guild Wars 1. Maguuma Jungle is HUGE. Why do you think we should only get one map with this? We also know relativly sure that every expansion brings a new dragon. So there wouldn’t be a point to save the rest of Maguuma for a later expansion, which again means that at some point of the Living World you will get to explore everything in Maguuma.
And I say it again: It’s huge.

Instead of paying to get everything at once now, playing through it the next 3 weeks and beeing finished they keep up your motivation and your playtime for a long period of time. That’s very nice.
All you have to do is to trust them because you know that Guild Wars 2 is an awesome game and will stay an awesome game.

I’m definitly looking forward to it. And I’m sure you will like it as well once you understand this.

Yet the content they are giving us will take one day to do depends on how long it downloads and when it’s released. It’s not much of a story, nothing to do or explore, and I thought gw2 was never gonna have mounts? Anet starting to copy wow.

It’s not sarcasm. Each living story they introduced to us as “content” has been a day or less worth of stuff that was all buggy. Anything you ride or glide with is considered a mount.
I play gw2 for wvw and the new map is not living up for the fights yet for ppt. So no I will not be buying this loving story for $50 unless it’s like $20.

I’ve been doing so for months, and that’s where I got aaaaaaaaaall my information.

There’s a communication problem here on Arenanet’s end. I’d love it if they’d put All That Stuff I Mentioned into a single rap sheet of features that we can easily browse, but instead you gotta sift through months of news and videos.

A lot of the “content” we are getting is basically copied and pasted code like crafting and armor. Crafting is not important and not many people bother with it. Small percentage wanted the ascended crap. But none of the content you mentioned is really exciting and worth $50. Plus it’s 3 levels on one map, so it’s one map we are getting, not 3.

It’s common among servers with guilds trying to take a objective. Yb are just to seige reliant and don’t really have guilds to do this. They pug blob.
If lets take north bay is too seieged up a group can open south while the main force distracts everyone at north. Just depends on what guilds are there and who your facing.

I transferred off FA and came to darkhaven (t4). Roaming is a blast here…nsp have a lot of roamers but ioj needs to drop a tier since I have yet to see any ioj.

ANet needs to realize that they simply don’t have the playerbase to support the number of servers they currently have. They really need to merge a lot of the lower servers and then consider openning free transfers to targetted realms (1 at a time…) until things even out.

if both T3 servers attack the T2 server, we barely make a dent in them. With white swords gone, and the community desertion that came along with that particular change, T3 servers are left with the players who dont actually give a crap about the PPT and just play for fights.

I dont have a full headcount of guilds on SoS, but with DB, they had more guilds rallying, who had deeper rallies (25+ compared to our 15-20) than both IoJ and NSP combined. I imagine SoS is largely the same.

Me personally, I dont really mind because I havent tried to upgrade anything since the second week of no white swords. My guild does rally and has gotten to GvG with some of the best guilds in the game, and we can work on improving our synergy and play while we get blobbed

It also doesn’t help Sos guilds are lazy. Even in t2 the “fight” guilds tend to stay near the pug zergs. MM, Syn will stay close to other zergs even if the enemy is like 15.

Like there’s 3 ways to get pass spawn campers at spawn. There’s many ways to get around in the wvw maps also.

How about Dragonbrand? Seems like they’re the underdogs of T2 at the moment, so it must stay competitive for them to keep themselves away from T3.

Also, I’m sure I’ll be able to find a guild I can have fun with no matter where I go. My main goal is to find a server that isn’t going to die out any time soon, but also one that isn’t a super elite T1 server.

Dragonbrand isent a good choice for you. They karma train t3 but in t2 they fairweather out. They never do good in t2…plus they just blob.

Every once in a while..you will see the rare species called a Anet dev.
You gotta look in the middle of a blob to find this rare species since you won’t find one elsewhere.
Check t1/2 for this species. But they don’t know how to do wvw since one asked what a commander spoon was.

The point being…there’s people who can’t do it (like me), before anyone says “try it”. I have. I just don’t get it, but why should we be forced to play it for the meta? I’m goijg to be stuck with 1 achievement I can’t get for the prize. Anet keeps disappointing me with this game.
