Well, this is going to be a slow week for SF

you get to sleep in the bed you make. it can be as fun or as boring as you make it. roll 120 ppl per map 24/7 and kill the 2 man group trying to take a camp, and you’ll find it’s going to be really pretty boring.

pretty typical sf as ever i recall. here’s to killing sf w/ boredom this week. too bad you’re not talented enough a server to make it to the higher league to play in a real competition so you’re stuck with having 120 ppl sitting for hours in empty maps watching for white swords to go and kill 2 ppl… brilliant. that’s awesome… yes can you help me w/ the gold cost to transfer there. i’m def. wanting to get in on that. oh wait, i already have another account on a t1 server that’s winning so no thanks (and anvil is still the better place IMO than sf that t1 server).

Hopefully with all these people playing wvw, some of them stick around for the rest of the season. It’s kinda nice not being the only group in the BLs every night. We are seeing a nice level of coordination that I hope continues to grow.

Ya, I don’t think they got a big enough awesome gyroscope on their server hardware. We have noticed that when we attack structures with a good amount of golems the skill lag goes into overdrive. I think the awesomeness of the SF Golem Zergs is too much for the system to process, hence the skill lag (or rather, no skills at all). Once a golem or five go down everything improves since the baseline awesomeness goes down due to fewer Golems.

SF also has a very large Hispanic community and a fair share of players from Brazil and Argentina who have their own guilds, we also ally with them for various purposes and go to good lengths in order to breach language barriers as well.

I believe this is why Banjo Rodriguez was created from spare golem parts and leftovers from a Claw of Jormag event. Though he doesn’t speak much Spanish, not sure where those wires got crossed.

Anyways, he doesn’t cook or clean but he can build a bunch of Golems. When we do let him out of his cage we task King Amadeus to keep him from biting the pugs and from marking his territory (mostly, he prefers to use the Golems to mark his territory).

Do not think of it like that. Instead, only realize it is war love. A single being of substantive quality.

Sorry, I can’t hear you over all the bullkitten spewing out of your mouth.

It’s called being considerate. Especially considering there are PvE people in there who aren’t familiar with WvW and look to other people for help. I know there’s an achievements for kills. I’m active in both WvW and PvE and the only time I’ve ever attacked anyone in a WvW JP is when I was attacked first. For the most part, people are nice in WvW JPs. The only server I’ve ever seen attack people in a JP is (whoa, big shocker) SF.

Bottom line – it’s being considerate. And FYI? Jumping puzzles aren’t exactly easy. So to attack people while they’re trying to do it is just you being an kitten. Stop trying to defend your actions.

I love how when others are not being nice people come here to cry about it. It is a GAME in case you forgot that point. And in the WvW maps in this GAME you are allowed to kill other players. You know, the WHOLE POINT of the GAME you are playing.

Next it will be about how a group of PvE players needed our Garrison PoI for map completion and MEAN SF WOULD NOT LET THEM COME IN! Apparently Anet put those PoIs in the structures so that people can just walk in and get them??

And really? You honestly think that ALL of SF camps the JPs just to kill you? And we are the ONLY server that does that? And you want to be taken seriously while you spout that kind of crap?

I have been knocked around JP maps alot, because I suck at jumping. But in a PvP map like the WvW maps are, you should expect for an enemy to kill you. it is PvP after all. IF they let you through take that as a bonus but in WvW come to fight or don’t come at all.

I have to agree, IoM is a great, organized guild. But in watching that video, it was not just IoM and you all outnumbered that SF zerg. Not taking away anything from your defense or your guilds skill but that first video (body of the post) does not show what your post is talking about.

The second and third videos are against GoM and AR so not sure what that is all about. Good fights, you were outnumbered but not by a huge amount.

Had a ton of fun on ETBL last night, man you guys brought the numbers later in the night. That north camp fight I kept thinking DH must have joined in there were so many of you guys.

Just curious, but MOS has Kaineng at rank 16 after this matchup. That leaves them in silver league as the 8th spot there I believe. 1-8 is Gold, 9-16 is Silver, and 17-24 Bronze, correct?

I know MOS is not official, but thought it was as close as it can get.

I Want to give a shout-out to FC and ET for how much they have improved since the Glicko Ghetto days.

I was proud of your guys when you fought so well while SF had you outmanned all the time. And now with how well both of your servers fight while moving up. We are brother’s forged in the heat, pressure, and misery of the old Ghetto and I for one hope it is the three of us fighting it out for the top spot.

Well, in my mind we are talking about two separate things.

When you say SF is unorganized, I take it to mean that everything you see is unorganized, which is not true. As has been said many times by zergs we fight, the core of our zergs are coordinated and effective but the blob around that is not.

What I think ptitminou is saying is that those who do not work with the zerg the way that best helps the zerg are unorganized and need to learn better. Which is absolutely true. Any zerg with pugs that have not learned zerg tactics will be unorganized.

Plus, you know when the critiquing comes from outside your server you get offended, whether it makes sense or not. Human nature.

Playing properly = If you follow a commander, you obey his calls, even bad ones because following a bad plan is better than having no plan at all. People shouldnt chase thieves in the middle of a fight, they should be on the commander until he calls out to chase them. If they want to be a solo hero they can stay away and stop wiping groups, because if you die, you risk rallying the other team. That also means using the correct gear.

I like it, completely agree on this. VS (who came to SF to teach us some things and then ended up just being a player stealing move) helped educate people about not being rally bait. Our organized guild groups do tend to follow this (most of the time :P), however we really need to work on our pugs doing this stuff as well.

And, yes, yes, yes. Traiting and gearing correctly is an absolute advantage for anyone when done properly. Something I can probably use some help with my new guardian especially. I have just been leveling the little guy up and not learning how to play a guardian properly.

I cannot ever imagine going back to a fractured server voice coms setup ever again. I promise only to troll you minimally on TS and /map.

Edit: Ohhh and we have lots and lots and lots of very gorgeous ladies. Seriesly we have the most hot ladies of any server in GW2.

All I remember was the wave of insults that came from offering commanders free leadership/commanding courses for WvW as well as basics on usual tactics. People know it all, but when a commander calls for something, only 1 or 2 play properly.

And what is playing properly? From the tone in your comments I am assuming YOUR way is the proper way, but I think it would help everyone if you would explain what proper play is.

You accuse others of being know-it-alls but if you were objective and read your comments and tone on this thread, you are one of those same types of people you accuse.

If you have been on SF long and know any of our core WvW folks, you would know we are always trying to improve our WvW skills. So if you come into it with good faith we would respond in kind. Come at us with disrespect, well, you will get the same disrespect you give.

How about instead of the passive-aggressive posts on the GW2 forums, you come onto our server’s forums and have a positive dialog explaining what you would like to do and how you would like to do it. I am an officer in our server’s training guild and would love for you and your guys to come show us how to improve our communications and strategy. We hold our training sessions Monday nights and have had many commanders and non-commanders (even those not in the training guild) teach us different strategies and communication ideas. And if you are running the training that night you could even get those people into your VoIP to see how it operates.

What it comes down to is this. No matter what VoIP or forums we use, everyone on SF would benefit from everyone at least TRYING to get along. At this point I really do NOT care about the finger pointing about who started what and who was responsible for any insults hurtled from any direction. What we all should care about is finding some way to work together. If that means separate VoIP for separate groups, then so be it. That is fine as long as we agree to try to work together. The rest will all fall into place as long as we try.

All of us want our server to improve and compete in the Bronze League. In the end, we all want the same result, we just differ on how to get there. If we can all just be mature (please understand, I am talking about everyone, not pointing fingers at anyone here) and keep the fact in mind that we all want the same end result, we can get this done. It won’t be smooth, changing things and getting people to see better ways never is easy. So let us work together to make it as smooth and easy as it can/could be. I am more than willing to meet with you in game and run with you and learn the things you are trying to teach.

The three of us, ET, FC, and SF all had to share the Glicko Ghetto for a long, long time. It helps develop certain skills that higher Tier servers never had to master.

ET and FC will do well as Clint said.

Is that what’s going on? Saw this A LOT on reset night, their zerg would run around our zerg to get up high and try dropping down on us. We wiped them whether they did this or not but it was fairly amusing to watch. Had a nice, loooong rolling fight around YBBL camp north of Hills (no, don’t ask me for the name) from back side of camp to the switchback up to Dawn’s (or whatever it is called on that map) and they kept jumping off cliffs to get into the fight. And died.

Keep in mind, we cannot prevent our trolls/griefers or fairweather players to do stupid stuff. Most of the people who do play WvW (guilds, roamers, etc) have agreed to not camp spawn during ANY match up. This spawn camping happens in EVERY matchup when one side is so lopsided.

So, is [pro] a “trolls/griefers or fairweather” guild? Because they are the ones that have been camping ET spawn on EB.

No idea, but I know that while we were on YBBL on reset night, PRO and LOOT zergs got wiped by us multiple times. I know that our numbers MAYBE matched theirs in a few fights but I know we were outnumbered most of them. Had to merch multiple times just after those couple of fights.

Are you from CoSA? Because then you know your 40-50 man guild group did infact outnumber everyone on the map. The only time you wiped us was in SE camp and in hills. We wiped you in hills the first time, and then the second time at NE tower. Overall good fights.

if you are from STaR, all you did was get wiped on reset night, apart from one fight in NE camp, we wiped you twice at hills, once at NE camp, then you guys regrouped and came fro SE camp, and then when you got wiped there you left. Also about the guy saying “we wiped to your siege”, um NE and SE camp were YOURS how could we siege it up. Morons.

Everyone always thinks they are outnumbered, which is part of the flow of battle, so I try to figure I see more red than is actually there. Which is why I worded it that way. The fights have been great, we win some, we lose some. Numbers really do not mean much in those large battles. We might have had 40 when all the pugs were with us. I really wish ANET would give us the ability to see ally and enemy numbers (minus the minions, they make zergs look much bigger).

Yea we definitely didn’t have 40-50, because I remember thinking we had fewer than most resets. We have lots of friends though, and everyone is welcome to run with us always.

I thought the same thing that night. I came in late and was surprised at how small our zerg seemed. We even lost some numbers after that, when the SFBL Garrison fight was announced a bunch of the pugs left to join in that fun.

It is nothing personal, and I for one enjoy your spawn camping 24/7. But you have to have downs if you think that spawn camping PUGs for 24hrs a day is not going to create “bad blood” and “bad attitudes”.

So if you are too dense to understand why people are /dance, /laugh, etc….Then perhaps the next 7 weeks may shed some light on your query.

Had a lot of single- and small group action in our BL, where i stay for the most part, and that is where i saw bad manners from our opponents. Getting spawn camped in EB is apparently enough of a reason for you to laugh and dance when you get one of us down – which doesn’t happen that often from what i can tell, since you are facing our roamers that are there all the time, no matter whom we face.

I have bad news for you, the core of YB players will be out and fighting no matter if we win or lose. Feel free to come to our match-up threads for the next 7 weeks so that all of our opposing servers can see you represent your server that way. It will provide good entertainment.

Well coming from a long time YB roamer, I have tried to get all the YB scrubs to stop spawn camping and doing exactly what they have kittened about in the past when it happens to them. In fact I have to disagree with Frosch in the fact that Yak’s is a fair weather server and would be PvEing if the tide was reversed.

I would also like to say thanks to all the good fights I have had out there with SF and ET, you have some good skilled fighters. When I have gone down I have only seen bowing and respectful game play. Unlike what I have seen for the most part from my fellow Yak’s, sorry about that… does represent the core old school YB!

Good post, thank you. I have enjoyed the fights myself, when I have been with my guild group we have has some great fights in the open field. We win some, we lost some. I prefer it that way, we need good competition to get better.

I actually logged on and destroyed ALL the siege in front of our spawn and then had fun jumping around in front of the keep while a bunch of YB hid behind their siege and walls. Except for the hammer warrior, he was fun to play with. And kill.
