WvW is a game of siege warfare and numbers so people can say what they want about zergs all they want every server has them. And as far as the PvP guild goes and all the hating on them, they get results and paint your maps red, so they are doing a good job for SF. And since you guys made a little troll guild about them seems like they got to you guys a lot more than they got to you.

Here’s where there is a clear disconnect between you guys and us… You can paint our map red…. We don’t care about points so that’s a non-issue. Fact is simple, if you run in a Zerg and brag you will receive zero credit and respect from any of us. We just don’t care that you think “wvw is about siege warfare” lol…. Not for us. For PAXA, wvw is a 3 faction open world pvp game where we can run a consistent group and get 1-2-300 kills a night with 5 guys. Thats what it is for us.

Ok, I get it now. I think we can all safely just ignore anything this one says as he is expecting everybody to play by his rules to get his “respect”. Really?? He has proven himself unworthy of even giving our “respect”, like his opinion on “winning” or “respect” even matter considering he dismisses anything that is not his “style”.

Yep I never have really tried to hide the fact that I was ex-ET….It is pretty much known to anyone in T8….ET was all but dead in WvW, the guild I was in was playing (wvw) less and less. I did not want to move up to a higher tier and get back into the queue lock…And I knew some of SF having fought them for a while, and respected a lot of their players and hated some others (mainly cause they killed me some)….Also the talk of the time was how they were moving on out of T8 and I thought well win/win, I get on an active WvW server, and get to avoid fighting against my ex-servermates and guild….But that did not happen lol, so I ended up doing both and had some good times with good friends on both servers….In fact, the guild I was in back then ended up bailing on ET too, you know them as MEND in HoD.

And also I hope you can respect the fact that I answered your comment with a legitimate statement rather than getting all elitist….Like I said I have nothing to hide about where I have been….But I would like to add, I came over not real early, but fairly early on in the matchup, so while I did jump to a better situation, I also experienced life on both sides of the fence and it was boring for both, win or lose…

I can vouch for this. I remember the day he first came into WvW as a SF player and was announcing how he was from ET, etc. My first thought was, what a kitten for bailing on his server. But once you get to know him (I just call him Savannah now, much easier with all the other toons) he is a great WvW teammate and I am proud to fight alongside him. Peace out.

You kinda’ lost me on your second point there. I hope you’re not referring to the PAXA/OS nonsense – they always do that. Most of the comments from HoD and NSP have been made because of the “sudden” adjustments in the points (right or wrong), the feeling that they’ve been plunged into a fight against a foe that really has no business being in the tier with them, and the perception that they are at the mercy of the SF murder-zerg ball.

Your server is winning, and will probably continue to win that bracket until you move or are again moved out of it. Some of your server mates could just be a bit classier by not grousing so loudly about your shut out. Just sayin.

I suppose you could characterize what NSP and HoD are saying as “whining”…but when someone is facing odds as grossly stacked as they are (wvwvw population wise), I think they have a right to feel some bitterness.

As to your other point…gloating (for any reason) is just poor form. If you can’t be a gracious winner, it begins to border on the whole highschooler kicking sand in the elementary school kid’s face. Not saying that you are doing this, but there are plenty from your server who are actively engaged in such behavior in the T7 thread.

Wow , how can you even call this fun? This is what I don’t get, HOW in the world is this playstyle fun and engaging.. You literally 90% of this video sat in one spot either popping Dagger Storm on CD or pressing 1 or 2 on your shortbow. 1 while randomly tabbing enemies, and #2 with just random placement anywhere. There was 5 seconds you ran around in circles pressing 1 with daggers out. I mean, you didn’t even ever bother to cast your heal spell.. You are literally mindlessly spamming 1 or 2 keys with no regard to any situational awareness or even your own well being.. I watched you go down 3 times while running around pressing 1 with your heal ready to use and not bothering to use it..

Just curious really. I’m sure that there are quite a few high school students out there who regularly brag about beating up kids in elementary school. Well, obviously I can’t speak for other SF folks, just myself. I do not talk kitten really, I just try to point out flawed logic and inconsistencies when it comes to others trying to make fun of SF for winning (or losing). Like the generalization that all Sf is is a giant zergball, or that we are picking on elementary school kids. Poor analogy there really, because WvW is a battlefield and you have to fight the matchup you are given. I mean, really, are we supposed to not use our advantages and let the other servers win??

As for the “gloating”, try looking at the T8 thread last week and see how many T7 came there to tell SF that we would get ROFLSTOMPED and how we would get crushed in T7 and that we didnt deserve to move up, etc. And then all the kitten talking (from ALL sides, even SF) when our T7 matchup started. That “gloating” you speak of was not something that was started by SF, we are just more than happy to point out the flawed logic that was thrown our way even before the matchup began.

Pretty soon (I hope) we will be moving up another Tier and hopefully the WvW populations with the new Tier will be more even. But as long as the other T7 servers continue to talk kitten about things beond our control or legitimate tactics/strategies that EVERY server would use if they had it, then we will keep “gloating” (defending) about ourselves. The proof is in the pudding, so to say.

(Please notice, I never attacked either server or said they suck, etc. I know dealing with the higher WvW numbers is not easy. But to whine about something you KNOW your server would use to it’s advantage if they had it, well, is pretty lame.)

SF is doing quite well and fielding good numbers.

They’re great in large zergs and I was impressed with the organization they showed. Too bad the same can’t be said about their smaller groups.

Anyways, been having lots of fun in WvW fighting you guys.

I agree, good times! And for the small groups, the ones I know of and run with are West Coast so look for us during the prime time hours. But (and I speak for myself here) we do not go looking for duels, our goal is capping or defense, supply camp flipping, placing siege/upgrading key structures, etc. And of course, confusing/teasing a zerg into forgetting what they were trying to do.

Fact #1. Before free transfers FC/ET was a ghost town for more then half of the day, everyday. I would run around till my food buffs wore off before I’d run into an Et/Fc player. Also there was PROOF of some people in one of the reputable SF guilds HAXING keep gates.

Something to point out here that I mentioned in another thread. When SF took our Bay keep yesterday and were at the north inner gate of the keep, we had FULL AOE circles (you know those red things you are supposed to roll out of) well within the keep as far back as the steps going down to the Lord’s Room. Now I later went and tried to duplicate those circles, even by going as far as placing ACs where SF had theirs, but to no avail. I tried a Ranger, a Mesmer, An Ele and still could not duplicate those full AoE circles that far into the inner keep with the gate up.

Now there may be a possible explanation but be warned that we did take screenshots. The sad but irrefutable fact is that if someone in your zerg was cheating by using a PoV modifier hack, then the WHOLE zerg, all 50+, are complicit and at the risk of being banned.

I do not mind losing a fair and honest fight but I will do everything I can to catch and report cheaters. Now again I am not saying that is what occurred in this case, as again I may have missed something. If I did I would appreciate your input.

But, isn’t that what you are saying? There is no other way to say it, unfortunately. Might be a hack, might be superior siege (which we love to use). Do not step around it, you are calling it hacking. Report it, PM someone from SF. Posting here does nothing besides inflame people.

And before you all pile on, I am not saying it was or wasn’t a hack. I seriously doubt it but you never know.

PAXA believes all 3 servers in all 8 NA tiers are bad. Many in this thread seem to think Jscull is speaking about SF, he is not, he is speaking in generalities. All 3 servers in all 8 NA tiers spend their time in blobs pressing (or clicking apparently) 1 because they think that is how the game was designed. PAXA doesn’t want to fight pre-arranged 5v5 fights, we want to play in a dynamic open world pvp environment where small groups roam searching for other small groups to fight around objectives that were designed for small groups to fight over. It doesn’t need to be even numbers, it doesn’t need to be fair.

There are 13 objectives on each BL map, not including sentries, and the majority of players group up and fight at 2. Again, group size limited to 5 players, boons limited to 5 players, AoE limited to 5 players, the majority of siege can be built by 5 or fewer players, majority of actual players play in blobs of 20+.

I get what you are saying, but Jscull did call out SF specifically so, ya.

SF is very adaptable. Many of us will put aside differences for the common good to achieve victory. Whether it be by small-man groups, large zergs, or seige. We will pull through. If you have a problem with the number of people or size of our zergs wish us happy travels as we try to push tier 6.

But, what fun is that? Letting your opponents get a free pass? Most of NSP and HoD forces are out there battling these large numbers. Some victorious others not so lucky. I have deep respect for those players. Instead of saying 5v5 me or 1v1 me and we’ll see who’s the best! They’re out there going “where are the most SF to kill today?” “Let’s show these SF they are on our territory.” Those are the guys you’re small man groups should join. If you have 5 small man guilds with around 10 people on each. That’s 50 people that you say are more skilled than that of equal numbers. So, 50 more skilled people should be able to wipe our 50 man zerg easy. However, not saying you should do this, just thought it would be a cool idea for the small roaming guilds to try out. If you prefer looking for small fights all the power to you! If SF rolls in way to big parties maybe try finding fights with NSP or HoD?

SF has a mean WvW population now that we are out of T7 many of us are aiming for higher in the tier list. Eventually, we will meet servers with the same WvW population and that’s when SF can prove that we aren’t as skill-less as many thought. Until then let’s keep the good fights going!

This is all MY own opinion. Props to Os, NSP [guild], LK, and many other players and guilds for trying to put shackles around SF’s feet and pull us down. It’s been a blast.

Also, for how many numbers the PVP guild fields, it may surprise you once you find out.

Good post. I am thinking these T7 threads will not be nearly as fun at T8 thread with all the trolls. At least ET and FC seem to have respect for their opponents even if they disagreed with them. And from what I have been reading it seems that what trolls ET and FC had were much better than these guys. This is to my fellow WvW fanatics who like me spend alot of gold on upgrades, blueprints and pretty much anything to help out our servers. My main point in this topic is to point out that when u upgrade something u get absolutly nothing out of it except a frownie face when it gets flipped 10 mins later in the match >< they should make it so that when u upgrade a tower,keep,farm or maybe even if u have the deep pockets to upgrade SM u get XP for ur rank for doing so. This will really boost the morale for the few that spend our precious little money that we have for the rest our server and get more players to join into WvW and if we r lucky get more people to pitch in on upgrades ^^ . So Anet do this for us and i will be an extremly happy pvper and for the rest of u I will see you on the Battlefields GL! ^_-

[Seed] runs a 3-5 man team most of the time during primetime and up to 10-15 during scheduled event, though we do join/command zergs when they are useful for the situation. There’s no point in avoiding zergs when your server is siegeing Stonemist.

And YES we do cap camps with 10+ people because that’s how you make sure you have enough supply to siege towers, keeps and castles. Wether you like it or not and wether you think it’s skill or not, SF is really good to group up on certain BLs when called upon. We group up fast and cap fast because we know how to do it and how effective it is.

When you ask: ’’What’s the point of capping something to loose it half an hour later?" I answer: “How’d you feel loosing that waypoint in your garrison?” You seem to be trolling just for the fun of trolling. I still have yet to be outskilled in WvW, be it 1v1s 2v1s 5v5s, etc.

Point is dude Zerging should not be the ONLY form an entire server’s pvp team uses. Like I said earlier I get new players want to have backup close by and to work together. Please name 3-5 small man guilds that run primetime? Can you do that? And running 15 is not small man. To be specific, run 10 or less and look for fights and not ONLY points? Can you do that?

If you want better answers then ask a specific question instead of generalizing and then complaining that wasn’t what you were asking for.

Oh, I get it! You want people to conform to your style of play, is that why you brought up the “small” guild looking for fight thing? Because really, to each their own. I am glad you like that style of play, I run with a guild that has 3-5 WvW players on at any one time. But dismissing other folks style of play because you do not like it is childish, like throwing a temper tantrum because things are not going the way you want them to.

Well, it break down to this (my opinion, not fact of course):
1. Just like in T8, when we (SF) are winning, the other server can only explain this by saying our numbers are VASTLY superior (but we have no skill) and we are cheating.
2. We (SF) really do not like being called cheaters and unskilled because we know how hard we actually work at this, how much we have improved since December.
3. The trolls from the other two servers are feeling VERY, VERY stupid right now because their servers are not ROFLSTOMPING us (SF) like they were saying on out T8 thread before reset.

And it is honing the zergs skills. You sound like our friends over in T8 when we first started beating them each week. If you are so worried about numbers then just be patient while we win some match-ups and we will move into T6 sooner or later.

Tell me what you are winning? How long has SF been in tier 8? What has all your “winning” gained you? All your “score updates”? You guys have been in T8 for months. Doesn’t seem like you have won anything. All you guys that say WvW is about “winning” never have an answer for Anet putting you on the top of the scoreboard and KEEPING you in the same tier.

So your response for “Zergs reasoning for fighting that style is to win” is just a funny argument. You guys get on everyday group up behind blue Doritos and bang on keeps and towers which end up being retaken half hour later. Doesn’t gain you a thing…. You say “we are playing for points”….Again what do those points gain you? Months and months of the same thing to MAYBE move up to be the bottom feeders in the exact same process?

So the mindless hours spent in a Zerg (not honing skills by the way… You can press #1 and kill just about anything) are spent towards a meaningless non-outcome changing score….

So the answer (unless you are 100% casual only) is you should at least work on becoming a better player.

Just for arguments sake (not saying you are arguing because your statements are just meant to inflame people’s responses) I will answer your questions.

1. We are winning this matchup, by at least 30k last I checked.
2. SF was in T8 for almost 4 months give or take.
3. Our winning has gained us 3+ months of winning by at least double the second place servers score. (Yes, there were some weeks where it was not double, but it was close).

So, to recap. The T8 server you seem to think we are, is beating both of your T7 server. Your T7 server that moved down is in a close match with those other T8 servers you keep trying to disparage.

So not only are we winning in every normal sense of the word, we are also TIGER BLOOD winning.

Are the current scores on http://mos.millenium.org/matchups#NA correct? I noticed that they finally swapped SF and GoM on the scoreboard, but I don’t know if the numbers there are correct.

We are winning T7 by 30k points after reset and the weekend (last I checked this morning).

Looks like SF is proving we were ready and worth the ratings “fix”. Good work SF, let’s keep on keeping on.

Predictions were made:

SF will flatten HoD and NSP worse than they were destroying FC and ET (nope).
HOD and NSP are going to stop SF back to t8 (nope).
GOM is going to flatten t8 (nope).
T8 is going to destroy GOM (nope).
ANY T8 server can threaten in t7 (remains to be seen, what will the end score look like?).
SF belongs in t(better than 7) (sure looks like it).
SF are weekend warriors who will lose steam going into the week (remains to be seen, I’m guessing the evenings will all move pretty similarly).
GOM may start slow and pick up steam through the week (sure looks like it).

These are a few I remember off the top of my head. I was guilty of thinking HOD and NSP would crush SF, I’ll admit, but really, the accuracy on the extremes is pretty hilariously off.

I agree. That is why I just ignored all the kitten talking from all three sides and just posted that I will let the results speak for themselves. We of SF are no joke and with healthy competition we will only improve. As out numbers (zergball, whatever, call it what you want) start getting more experience with tougher battles our edge will sharpen.
