Keep in mind, we cannot prevent our trolls/griefers or fairweather players to do stupid stuff. Most of the people who do play WvW (guilds, roamers, etc) have agreed to not camp spawn during ANY match up. This spawn camping happens in EVERY matchup when one side is so lopsided.

So, is [pro] a “trolls/griefers or fairweather” guild? Because they are the ones that have been camping ET spawn on EB.

No idea, but I know that while we were on YBBL on reset night, PRO and LOOT zergs got wiped by us multiple times. I know that our numbers MAYBE matched theirs in a few fights but I know we were outnumbered most of them. Had to merch multiple times just after those couple of fights.

Hey I tired being nice in the beginning because I know how crappy it is to be on the receiving end of this sort of thing. I know it sucks, so I don’t blame you for being mad. But your forum warriors have gotten on my nerves and my patience is gone now. So i’m going to drop all the siege I have throughout this entire matchup and really give you something to cry about now.

LOL, like a server holds elections on “their” forum warriors? As I am sure you know, the majority of posters are a vocal minority and are usually the lamer players of a server (with exceptions of course, like King Amadeus, that dood can fight!). Goodfight to those six SF in FC BL who fought me, the Guard and the Thief. Although laughing at the end and jumping on my body was very unsportsmanlike.

SF tend to do that. Though the SF I know from the ghetto days where much nicer and respectable, its only recently they have turned into kittens.

FC and SF got tired of drama long ago when we were in the glicko ghetto. What you are experiencing is the same on every server, there are good players and there are the rest. Those jumping and doing such things (which yes, your server does the EXACT same things so stop pretending only people on SF do it) are mainly PvE players not knowing how to act. They should grow up as you should as well for calling out a whole server for a few toons antics.

Ok seriously, I’m seeing bad SF zerging quality here… This zerg in particular got wiped 2v10ish by me and a guildie alone b/c they wanted to zerg me while I was 1v2ing a few SF and spawn camped us to legendaries. If you allow that to happen as a commander… I have nothing to say… (Btw, had fun sitting on the commander that organized spawn camping 2 GoM :P)

I’m going on a limb here and say that you are unlikely to speak for anyone else.

Please understand, one person in one guild does not a server represent. Every server has their good folks and their bad eggs. For what it is worth, it has been an incredibly interesting and fun week and we learn more fighting the higher ranked servers than stomping on the smaller ones. Good luck and hope we see you guys again in the future!

Yup, every server does and hopefully the good players on each server try to stamp out the jerks who do that. I know that our regular core players do.

Seconded, while I too won’t go through the full sales pitch…I will say that I have played on a few servers: NSP, ET, SF, BG, and briefly on JQ. (Mainly in that order) While all were great, I always liked SF and in the end remained on SF. I did so because of the community we have, and the people that are true friends. One of the other reasons I always liked SF is that it is fairly stable, we do not get a ton of transfers and we do not lose a ton of people to transfers. So week to week we know what to expect, we know what we can count on, and we have known each other for quite some time.

It has helped us train the server, get more people into WvW, and retain more talented groups.

I had a great time yesterday in your BL Kaineng, and I am not talking crap. You guys fight well, especially when I see those CNB tags. Made it to the roof in the Garrison’s Lord Room, too bad we had used our supplies on the west outer and then running over to rush in the watergate inner.

Keep up the good fights all week. Sooner or later SF will get a night presence and be closer in these types of matchups.

Ahhh, take it easy on him. :P He is just excited that for once the other servers’ night coverage isn’t running rampage all over our EB and borderlands.

By that I mean, if you look at our history in matchups, we have lost many due to our very poor nighttime (NA) coverage. We hang with the other servers during our strong times (mainly NA primetime, we have a large west coast population) but lose the matchups because of our sleep/work schedules.

So ya, people tend to get excited around here when we can actually hold (and/or take) things during our night/work times.

I had zero intentions of insulting anyone, I was simply stating/recommending that if SF ramped up the zerg/group tactics and worked together imo you’d devastate people. But in my experience this week, there’s a very good reason why the group I roam with doesn’t run from SF. It’s pretty well known that with working together we can cut through the big groups like hot knives through butter with only 10-15 of us vs 20+ (more often it’s a lot more than 20) SF players. I guess what I meant to say is that if you were a bit more organized instead of “omgush red names CHAAAAARGE” zerging….you’d wreck through some tiers.

If I was chest thumping the videos would’ve already been posted. Simply constructive criticism is all I was going for so don’t take my post the wrong way, no matter what server you’re on.

Also thanks to all of the guilds in the match-up that came to GvG us. The guys and gals in [HARD] had a blast and on behalf of them, thanks for the friendly competition. It helps us all become better players in the end. Kudos to you. And best of luck in the next matchup.

What guild tags were in these zergs? Was there a commander tag? Need to know so we can work with whoever is running these unorganized zergs. Let’s be honest, while SF might have numbers (and from experience, the side you are on always seems to have less numbers most of the time) most of our WvW numbers are because of pugs and not organized guilds, besides the few that most people know about.

And believe me, we are working on training our non-regulars up as much as possible. When my guild runs a zergball we always get a large number of pugs with us because they know they will be getting easy wxp, etc. Many times I have seen it where our guild is going for a certain objective and the pugs will see red names and they break off to get them thinking everyone else will do the same. Of course we always are pounding it in to listen to the commander and do not leave the mass, but in this situation they zerg off on their own leaving the real zerg to do the real work we were in the process of doing anyways.

PS. Sorry if I sounded insulted, it wasn’t really your post I was referring to. I hadnt checked the forums since Tuesday and after reading all the passive-aggressive kitten talk from the other two server’s forum warriors, I was slightly perturbed. I have seen you post here before and you have always been a cool cat.

LOL, love all the passive aggressive attempts at kitten talking. If we were to believe that you guys always wipe us when we outnumber you then how are we in second?? I know most of the lame talking is by your forum warriors who can’t hold their own on the battlefield so they have to come on here and post gifs (though some are freaking hilarious). But it is still pretty sad when I see three thread pages full of bs about SF and we didn’t have one person posting on those pages.

I for one had a very fun week, the matchup was very close and I can not wait (who know how long I will have to) for SF to get an Oceanic presence to allow us to keep a decent PPT overnight.

LOL, first time reading this thread. Love how the forum warriors can’t think of anything new to bash SF about. But we learned long ago, just enjoy the matchup you have any way you can because there is NOTHING you can do about it. FergCross knows what I am talking about (sorry, they would let me type FC and knows without putting kitten in there, guess FC and the K mean something, LOL). You are stuck with your opponents, whether you like their play style or not. I mean, seriously, why do you complain about “SF this” or “SF that”? Should we only send in 10 people to take a keep defended by 10 people? You know if you had the numbers you would not either.

And, I would also like to address the dood who thinks SF and FC teamed up against you. LOL, do you even know anything about SF and FC history? We love our little bro but teaming up against the might of AR?? You can’t seriously think we would team up.

Now, as I always like to point out, I know these folks whining about crap are not the majority of their server and that there are a bunch of good, honest players for each keyboard warrior. So I know AR is not full of a bunch of whiners, probably just this guy and a few more.

Keep up the hard work AR and FC. We know what it is like being in your positions, we each have taken the dive down the Tier ranks, ours was December last year and we are still in the process of recovering from that, even with the numbers we field. It is not easy to rebuild to that level of coordination and especially to bring the new WvW players you recruit up to a level where they can at least actively contribute to the tactics and strategy of the server and not just PvDoor everything.

I only respond without respect when the other person is showing no respect themselves. If you look at it honestly, calling out our entire server for the actions of a few is disrespectful. Telling us we only win because of numbers and that if the fights were even we would lose because we have no skill, is disrespectful. Sure, we do not win all the time, I readily admit that. But if you want to be treated with respect, you treat others with respect. If you go look, and I can only speak for me, I NEVER talk crap unless the other person shows they do not deserve my respect.

Wow, ya, 9 golems will power through some reinforced gates fairly quickly. LOL, yes, I do know. Just trying to figure out why nobody responded from SF to SM being attacked. At least, did not respond until it was too late. Good work on taking it so fast, did you have fun with the golems after that or just WP them back to spawn for something else? When I have a golem of my own I like to take it to the top of SM and jump off, just for the giggles.

Ya, I Spent the better part of the day running around that area to make sure we were upgrading again and taking out any forces trying to snipe things. I must have done the dredge friendship thing half a dozen times solo.

Took forever to get the WP back up in SM too, you guys and AR kept taking those camps I was upgrading constantly. ARG!!!!

I agree, which is why I do not spawn camp at all. I know when we have run up against server that boast more WvW population that we do, we get spawn camped. I just happen to know there are more than one exit so I go left or right instead of straight ahead.

I have been having fun, I always do. If something is frustrating me, I just go do something else. Take yesterday for example. We were holding ETs keep for a while and they started making a major push to re-capture it. Most of our EB forces were dedicated to that so you guys started taking your side back after we had capped it all. You ended up taking all of your side of EB back while we were hanging onto ETs keep. Seemed like a lose-lose situation to me, an enemy keep is just not worth losing 1/3 of the map you already had taken.

So I went and killed Destroyer Harpies/Trolls/Crabs. And those mean harpies at the Ogres.

I would also just like to point out, before you start talking smack to SF about forum postings (you know who you are) and get all upset about SF not respecting your server, etc. realize that you are accusing our server based on a few posts on a forum or a small number of our players camping your spawn.

If you want to judge our entire server by a few forum posts, we shall do the same and call your server whiners. After all, one forum posts represents the entire server, no?

As far as spawn camping, never done it and never will. Do I push you guys back to the spawn, of course. Do I camp there for hours and not let anything out, nope. Some people from our server might do that, not sure since I am always on the move to something not boring. But I am not going to tell someone else they cant because you don’t think it is fair. After all, this is a battleground, is it not? Plus, every spawn has multiple exits.

Back in the DH/GoM/NSP matchup, a group of XOXO took our north camp and proceeded to build a treb to fire on the power orbs. I popped out of the doorway to citadel to say hi, but being alone, I couldn’t hope to take back the camp. A female norn (guard, I think?) walked over to me and started dancing. I moved away from the doorway and bowed to her, hoping to get a fight. She took off her pants and kept dancing. I bowed again. It was about this time that two of her thief friends jumped me from behind.

I can confirm this. Most of my /waves and /bows at XOXO end up with me getting chased halfway across a map by a whole group of XOXO/SPCA/tM while getting whispered, “Come back! We want to give you HUGS!”

Nice fights against both youse servers in our BL last night. Banjo had us rolling ALL over taking back the places you guys “rented” from us. I especially enjoyed the nice little fight with the DH zerg at Fog supply camp. When you guys came rolling around behind those buildings my axes were whirling and twirling to my heart’s delight! As usual I got kilt (and then ressed) but once we took the fight I was able to grab most of my bags before we rolled back out.
