‘best’ based on what?
Too bad the stupid WvW component of the monthlies doesn’t have a similar cheat so folks who hate PvP aren’t being subjected to it. No sign of that irritating kitten being rotated out any time soon. I guess when ArenaNet says “play how you want to play”, they should actually add to it, “so long as you like PvP because we’ll do our best to force you into, whenever we can”.
Also too bad there’s no indication that the freedom people will have in doing their dailies, once the change has been implemented, won’t be extended to monthlies. Those still look to be “WvW BS” plus three other random things. Still hoping they rethink that one.
Funny I feel the same way being forced to do ‘PvE BS’ to get gear, map completion, pretty much anything. You PvE players whine and cry all the time about doing all of 4 WvW maps, but WvW players are forced to do like 40+ Pve boring as hell maps.
WoW BP seriously? breakout at greenlake tower … breakout at greenlake tower … breakout at greenlake tower … breakout at greenlake tower … breakout at greenlake tower. I’ve seen you with 50+ man zergs surely you can do without the gimmicky crutch every 10 minutes.
Otherwise this has been a very fun and close match so far this week.

So you couldn’t get on three maps? I bounced around at reset, and only one map was queued for me, and got in after a minute.
Yes, I was trying to join my guild in arbl it had a queue, so I thought I’d go to EB while waiting for queue, EB had a queue so I figured I’d go to BP BL, that too had a queue, I eventually settled on NSP bl while waiting for ar bl queue to pop up.
Welp, I thought color was supposed to be randomized to some extent. Which would mean that we’d be in a 1/27 luck draw.
It has never been randomized at all. 1st place in the tier is always green, 2nd place is always blue and 3rd is always red.
Anvil Rock has never had more than one map queue’d, EVER. When it is queue’d, it is only for maybe a minute at most.
We had 3 maps queued at this very reset. Our own BL had over 30 minute queue several times in the past few weeks. Let’s not exaggerate to make some fake point now.
Problem is we have very very few night players and get night capped nearly every day.

I don’t care about moving up to tier 1 or having 24/7 coverage for wvw. I just want an even match, 3 server with similar numbers and coverages. I’ve played in T1 and I’ve played in T8, T1 IMO was much less fun then T8 ever was. T1 to me is just bigger zergs, more culling issues and more egos and less fun.
Is NSP this strong all week long?
I’d like to see them stay strong but if the past few weeks are anything to go by, they won’t be, let’s hope I am wrong though. I’d rather lose and face good competition then win unevenly.
BP … thanks for the laughs, i am serious that attempt on greenlake tower in ar bl was the funniest thing i have seen in ages. Breakout event with the OP NPC and unkillable siege plus 3 golems plus 15 or more players vs. a paper gate and a couple arrows carts.

AR has queues on all maps but nsp bl … the last place team has the least attacking it … imagine that … seems perfectly reasonable to me.
all you should see when dead is the map so you can pick your next spawn point. The dead should see nothing strategic.

What was ready? Transfers were never supposed to be free, ever. Thats never been the issue. Anet always said without guesting they would not enable paid transfers and guesting issues prevented that system from being enabled, therefore we had free transfers.
I think everyone forgot to mention that quaggans throw up white swords on the enemy keeps they go up against, which can be valuable in that it makes it look like a ninja is going down. This also effects a waypointed keep by contesting it.
yep you flip the node, the enemy goes ‘oh its just the quags’ then you do a silent siege and are at inner before they even realise something is wrong.
if 500-1800 is the correct range, its too low, should be double that.
not only does the feature need to stay, but it needs to be added to WvW parties. It’s bloody annoying having to reform parties to remove 1 offline person because there is no way to get rid of them.
i would just do all map to 98%, leave behind one POI on each until I was 80, then go complete them all for better rewards … as said above, easily exploited.
only if they add an option to disable player generated ‘music’
the real problem is the market is upside down. I can sell the mats to make 95% of the items for far more then I can get for the finished item.

Realistically.. this is going to cut the WvW population in game by half within a couple of months.

Yeah, it sucks when a guild transfer to another server, but overall the game doesn’t lose. When that same guild just quits the game all together, the game suffers.
If you think people haven’t left wvw/the game because of the massive imbalances caused by transfer guilds you are kidding yourself.
WvW is a numbers game, good luck to servers with coverage gaps of ever filling them when paid transfers hit.
You do not need every tier having 24/7 coverage, you simply need 3 servers with the same gaps in coverage. The problems come now when one server gets a bunch of can’t hack it guilds transferring down and PvDooring the win.
Paid Transfers are going to do more harm then good but you can wait and find out for yourself.

southsun cove does not count towards world completion so thats probably why it does not show
INow spies and saboteurs from one server have to pay to get onto an ‘enemy’ server and then pay to transfer back to their own.
Spies and saboteurs don’t generally use their main account to spy, they get a 2nd account so they can spy with one and actually play with the other. This change may slow them down if a match-up changes but have little effect overall.
As to the chicken kitten transfer kitten guilds … it will stop them, but only if the transfer fee is hefty enough.
Winning server moves up a tier, losing server moves down a tier. The means new match ups every week except possibly the top 2 and botton 2 servers.
That is a TERRIBLE idea. There are huge gaps between some server tiers, all you’d end up with is the team that drops one week crushing the next and vice versa. You’d be guaranteed an unbalanced match every single week.
transfer guilds ruin wvw for everyone involved other then their ego driven selves. I’ve been on both sides sides of an unbalanced match-up, holding it all or holding none, either way its boring as hell.
7. sure BLTC keys need to drop more but not everyone like the kitten excuses for dungeons anet gives us. A solution has to benefit everyone, regardless of playstyle, not just dungeon grinders.
people don’t need to be transferring willy nilly, its not spying that’s killing wvw its transfer guilds, your ‘solution’ would do nothing to stop them. Spies run dual accounts so they can play and spy, they don’t transfer and lock themselves out of being able to play.

Because there’s no downside whatsoever to a refund system.
Just a few off the top of my head:
1. Anet has a full plate right now fixing actual issues then to worry about spending time on this.
2. No matter what kind of refund system is put in place, someone will always exceed its limits. Add in a 5 minute timer and someone will complain they were at 5m 1 second, whats 1 second matter, can’t a GM help?
3. If the refund is available only on those ‘pricy’ items someone else will post and complain that they are poor and need a refund on something cheap and again ask a GM for help
4. The above lead to this point: GM’s end up wasting time on tickets for which they can do nothing.
All of it easily avoided by being responsible for ones own actions.

“Everyone else” meaning everyone without a huge bandwagon that gives them coverage and numbers.
Try to read before you start accusing.
‘Everyone’ don’t need huge numbers and 24/7 coverage tho, you just need similar coverages and numbers across the 3 servers in the same tier. Not everyone wants or cares to be t1.
Some of us enjoy the lower tiers but are just sick and tired of the upjumped servers who get weak sauce transfer guilds who can’t hack it from up high and transfer down low to show how ‘godly’ they are by bringing up a low tier server (and then jumping ship soon as the going gets tough again).
all depends on whether the gem fee is high enough to discourage those weak sauce transfer guilds.
NPC’s should have a downed state as well.

If that wouldn’t get people out there when the odds are against them then they might not be fit for competitive play :P
The buff shouldn’t exist like some kind of bait to get people to come out (after all once they come out the buff goes away, so they leave and buff comes back … see the vicious cycle you created?). Quite often the buff is during the so called night capping hours, a server just does not have anyone else to call to help out. The buff should be to help the side with fewer numbers to be able to defend and/or attack objectives.
Example: 5 people playing during off hours are trying to defend Overlook keep in eternal battlegrounds from being night capped by a 30 man zerg from another server. Those 5 people couldn’t give a flying fart about MF chance, XP or Karma, what they need is a buff that gives then a better chance to hold off the zerg until people start to log in again and both sides can field similar numbers.

I replied to YOUR statement, you brought it up. Wow gets new raids in patches … gw2 gets new events in patches … sounds like the same thing to me.
If the currency is precious and hard to get maybe people should, step back, take a deep breath and make sure that the button they are going to hit is exactly what they want?

Conversely, we also have some players who admittedly (they’ve said as much) type like kittens, and can only communicate by voice while fighting in-game. This is why our guilds and alliances provide for both means.

:p As much as I complained about it, I KNOW that I am one of the people who talks on Vent and not enough on Map Chat. I’ve been trying to work on it though…so I forgive myself. My issue is more that I get so focused on the fighting that any “Chat” just disappears for me…It gets quite annoying because I want very badly to do better with Map communication…Was actually considering finding someone to assign watching/typing in Map Chat, just feels kinda like a cop-out.
Do what I used to do in another game, talk in vent and get one of the people without mics, who is listening (and usually good at typing because they don’t use voice) to summerize the objective in squad/map/team/say chat, whatever is being used. I’ve almost always been able to find someone willing to help if you ask nicely. (just occasionally mention in chat when you have lulls that so and so is relaying your voice commands)
The problem is the outmanned buff itself. The current buff gives absolutely nothing to help with the problem of being outmanned. An increase in magic find, xp and karma is not what outmanned people need. Outmanned should get the old orb buffs or some actual combat/stat bonus that would help to make it possible for a small force to have a chance against a large one.
As long as it is a change for ALL claases and not just ele and/or engi then i’m okay with it.
