This is not the way how dailies should functionate.. Dailies are what they are – tasks for the current day and a day just only has 24hours, so if you don’t complete all daily tasks withing 24hours, then the dailies HAVE TO reset, and that instantly. Thats the correct way of how dailies should work.
But what could be improved and what the real intention of this thread is, the real idea behind this thread is an idea ive already posted also in the german part of the forums is, that if you maybe do only like 75% of the daily tasks and the timer is over, that the player should have not wasted all his efforts for reaching those 75% with getting absolutely no reward.
If you reach in 24hours 75%, then the player should be at leaset rewarded with 75% of the dailies reward… so 3 out of 4 things your get normally.
The current system of dailies has 20% milestones, as you have to do all 5 tasks to get to 100%, each counting as 20%.
Basically this goes against what Anet has announced us how the new dailies should work with like choose 4 out of 6 tasks and ur done…, but mindless of that point, it helps in changing the reward system for dailies, when you can break down the maximum reward into 5 different outcomes in regard of how much % you got at the end.100% = Full Rewards = 1 Mystic Coin, 1 Karma Bottle, 1 Laurel, Money and Exp
80% = 1 Mystic Coin, 1 Karma Bottle, Money , Exp
60% = 1 Mystic Coin, 1 Karma Bottle, Exp
40% = 1 Karma Bottle, Exp
20% = 1 Karma BottleThat way it would be a win win for all, everyone would be rewarded exactly for that, what they have reached and if you maybe get at 1 day not 100%, then it doesn’t feel like a total waste of time, if you maybe got only like 60% and still get a reward for it, naturally not as much, as if you would have reached 100% that is naturally clear I think …
This is ridiculous. If I hired someone to mow my front, back and side yards and said I would pay them $30 to do so and I need it done by the end of the day and they came back to me at the end of the day and said, I only mowed the back and side yards but didn’t mow the front, so you owe me $20, I’d tell them to kitten off, the contract was for the whole job, you failed you get nothing.
Another example:
I get in a car accident and take it to be fixed, I am quoted $4,000 for the job, I come back when its supposed to be finished and the guy tells me we only fixed the left side but the right side is still all smashed up. A half done job does not get half the fee, a half done job gets sued for breach of contract.
Think of your daily as a contract, you have 24 hours to do 5 things, don’t do them, you don’t get paid (rewards). The end. period. finished.
With all the dugeons you are grinding on, you should have lots of coin, buy more bank space. See problem already designed and planned for.
the problem is that ArenaNet put PvE content INSIDE of a PvP map.
There is the problem. Misconception. The EB jump puzzle was DESIGNED with traps for other players to use. People inside the EB JP aren’t griefing they are doing what the puzzle was designed for. It wasn’t an accident that the puzzle was put on a WvW map nor that it gives out WvW rewards.
If it was up to me you’d have to actively participate in WvW each day before doing the WvW JP’s
The use local time for resets is the overall best solution. And for those who argue “people will just change their timezone in game for more time” the technology exists to extract local timezone data through your IP address… you can change your timezone ingame and on your computer all you want but your IP will still reflect the same timezone when traced.
Guess you never heard of proxies or ip spoofs? I can easily make my PC appear to connect from anywhere in the world.

Worse still, people are getting culled in situations where there should be no culling period (i.e. small fights).
Here’s an example of the ‘new’ culling at work:
Wen to garrison to hit up the mystic forge real quick, needed to stop at the banker also to grab mats. I waypoint into garrison, there’s no one there, in fact our entire borderlands was our own color so probably not many people on the map at all.
I walk up to where I know the banker is. He’s not there. I walk to the guild banker, it is where it always is. I look at mini-map, yep shows same place as always. I think maybe there was a fight here earlier and it got killed and rezzed somewhere else in the lords room (never seen it happen but hey worth a shot).
So after about 60 seconds of wandering around an empty lords room in garrison, I start to type into guild chat to see if anyone else has this problem and as I am halfway through typing ‘pop’ the banker suddenly decides to cull into existence.
Really this is an improvement? Culling when there’s no need to cull for the sake of culling?

Here’s another one for you, I ‘heard’ the cap is 200 per map. Guess we’re both capable of making numbers up with nothing to back it up.

Saying you ran around the map and couldn’t find people? With the new culling I can’t find people standing right in front of me half the time.
Saying you asked in map chat to post if you are there? Ever yelled/or seen others yell at random pugs who keep taking supply even when asked not to take supply from the tower/keep/castle? Some people will just not respond or potential have the channel turned off even.
Saying things like ‘even if only 1/3 of people responded’ is based on what? Its just the fraction someone picked to fit their argument, it has no basis in fact, it could be 9/10 responded or it could be 1/20 responded, there is just no way to know.

too many if’s, maybe’s and assumptions made to even begin to say any of this so called ‘counting’ is anywhere close to accurate.
If they change this, no1 will upgrade to WP, it will be useless, Im a thief and if my guild ask me I can get a contested keep all day if I want, and the WP will be useless.

DE’s should not be set times, DE’s should start when a structure has taken appropriate dmg to trigger it and end when it has not taken any damage after a short period of time (something like 10-15seconds, long enough for siege weapons to re-aim and cycle through shots without contested blinking on and off).
The fact that anyone (not just thieves) can tap a gate once and leave a structure contested for 3 minutes is a joke.
Such a stupid monthly. People tell me “It’s only 18 salvages a day!” OK, but what if I play every other day? Suddenly it becomes 36. The only purpose this serves is to teach us to salvage stuff that we shouldn’t be.
Go to the TP buy up some salvageable items, done in first day. Stop expecting to be spoon fed the reward at the end of the month and do something to earn it.
How about just having an up vote and no down vote. That way only the good commanders will get up voted. And, no one feels bad for getting down voted.
Even better yet, commanders with squads that complete objectives auto updates their rankings.
You mean like the fake ‘like’ system Facebook or whatever social monstrosity it is? How does that stop a big guild with an okay commander from having a better rating from a great commander from a smaller guild? Most guildies will vote for their own, its human nature to support ‘family’ first.
Auto update based on what? Being on a lower tier server and PvDooring a bunch of objectives at night would auto reward and rate you highly while a T1 commander who has to work his/her butt off to capture anything because there is always opposition and would have a lower rating because they essentially can’t farm for rating like the lower tier guy could?
Mounts should be limited to dolyak speed … ie: slower then you run.
So I just hope anyone from ArenaNet is reading this, and here are my proposed solutions:
- immortality and no effect in the puzzle area
- no weapons and spells in the puzzle area
- automatic revive (farm issue)

-If you don’t like PvP stay the heck off a PvP map. Done. Simple. Already implemented.

the whole point of leveling is to give people time to learn how to play a class, if someone can get a class to 80 without ever playing it by ‘sharing XP’ that’s a loss for everyone.
Do we really need a bunch of level 80’s with no weapon skills, ultilities or elites unlocked and people with no clue what they are doing?
If making an alt is too much of a grind for you … don’t do it.
I just posted this same thing last night. It would help the really casual players. Why would it matter to anyone if it takes five days to complete one? Maybe Anet wants us all to quit work and leave our families so we can complete our dailies.
This should also apply to the monthlies. If it takes me six months to complete a monthly so be it.
Why should you get a reward for doing a daily over five days? That would be like a child in school handing in homework five days late and expecting to get full credit.

Secondary benefit is it would start to ‘force’ people to join commanders squads, which makes being a commander more effective and manageable.

What if WvW earned bonuses only applied to those who participated in WvW and not to those whose whinged and cried about WvW kills in the monthly but still get WvW generated server bonuses?

AR (it wasn’t ALS alone) had no choice, NSP couldn’t do it themselves, despite being at bay inner for what was at least an hour.

make gates like walls, not damage-able by players, only siege. Then players can’t contest gates and we won’t have 70 person zergs DPSing down gates when defenders keep destroying siege. All in all a more tactical/strategic fight.

Waste of Dev time. The game has serious issues that needs addressing before something that is 1000% not needed is even thought to be added.
The scoreboard would be fine if it actually represented correct scores. unfortunately with the culling and invisible armies the scoring is a joke that that does not really represent a server’s capability when you get killed by invisible people

Seriously? You have to resort to abusing terrain bugs to keep your lead? Because right after the specific fight before these screenies, THE ENTIRE AR ZERG ran to that spot and hung out, before dispersing, some getting killed, others returning, etc.
This was near bluevale, by the way.
Every server does it, AR does it, NSP does it, BP does it, I am sure every server on every tier has done it. It is BS, I hate it, but until Anet gets off their lazy arses and fixes it, it will keep happening.
But the worst issue is the lack of any responce from Anet. At least let us know they are aware of these problems and trying to fix them.
Overall Anet’s communication with the wvw community is appalling. No doubt this thread will last all of 2 minutes before it is deleted. Wish they put as much effort into replying as they did in deleting posts etc.

Time to learn to play. Its not elitism it is common sense. If you’ve truely played 1000 hours and still need to rez rush to finish a dungeon you are definitely doing something wrong.
There is absolutely ZERO skill involved in rez rushing. Do you honestly beleive you’ve done anything to earn a reward if all you do is run in burst DPS, die, rez, rinse and repeat?
Everyone has some healing, everyone has some survivability skills, everyone has a dodge button, learn to find the balance between offense and defense and you will become a better player.

Whats the limit? I have 9 slots more then enough to make 1 of every class.
Flag off = no one can attack you, nor can you attack other players or their defenses.
Flag on = you’re fair game for everyone.
Way too easy to be abused. Flag off = scout you can’t kill, they’ll just follow the enemy around and report all movements and there would be nothing you could do to stop it.
Joe Bob from guild [ABC] gets all his follow guildies to rate him the best … even though everyone outside the guild knows he sucks.
Billy Ray from guild [XYZ] is really good commander on Server A, server B gets tired of getting its kitten handed to them by this commander so sends a couple spies to server A and spams bad ratings on to Billy Ray. People see Billy Ray’s rating go down and stop following him. Server B begins winning now.
Sarah from [HIJ] makes an honest mistake, but some noob is so upset they go on a campaign to do everything they can to ruin Sarah’s rating, including getting his guildies to join in on the harassment.
Just a few ideas off the top of my head. Any in game rating is just a popularity contest and subject to trolls.
PvE players cry about having to do 4 WvW maps.
WvW don’t cry about having to do 30+ Pve maps.
Anet said we should all get to play the way we want so WvW players should only have to do 4 maps for world completion and PvE players can do their 30+ PvE maps.
so don’t use them. Looks are in the eye of the beholder. I think the ugliest weapons in the game are all the legendaries with their gimmicky BS.
