I don’t think you ever get credit for escorting a yak unless it gets attacked (by mobs or enemy players) and you actually do something to defend the yak.
That is incorrect. If you walk a yak to the end of its path you will get credit whether its attacked or not.
The problem as the OP noted is that yaks are on static paths regardless of what you own. In the OP scenario above you’d have to walk the yak to the enemies SM because that is the end of its path. Yak paths should be dynamic. if you do not hold the objective the yak should not try to stop at it.
I’m sure we’ve all seen where a yak from say danelon will try to stop at QL on its way to SM even if QL is held by a different team. The paths are fixed when they should be dynamic.
So I flag myself as untargetable run up to enemy keep and follow thier zerg around and use /m or /s to report exactly what they are doing. Enemy zerg can do nothing to me. How is that not a spy exploit?
This works (a bit…), but it’s far from 100% of the solution. Picture this scenario: you have 30 minutes to play and want to do as many loot-heavy events as possible. You learn that a certain server has under 10 minutes left of Tequatl the Sunless’ spawn window. You check the timer for your home world: 59 minutes until window opens. Which one will you choose? The easy jump to your guest-able server for your daily chest, or not having it at all? Every single person would choose the first option. The people who have your guest-able server as home won’t be able to join and tears will ensue. Do you truly want to make people cry?
You do it ONCE PER DAY on whatever server you want to do it, it won’t matter. The problem is people are basically exploiting the current limit of one chest per day by doing it on multiple servers, that’s why events are over crowded.
People used to just cycle through the events all day long on their own server, now to accomplish the same amount of farming they do their own and 2 guest worlds per day. Change it to one per day regardless of world and you’ve removed 2/3 of the farmers.
I get that he wants out of combat, but I still say no for the same reasons, ele can basically swap been 4 weapons in combat (and only has to pay for one weapon set) while other classes get to swap between 2 weapons in combat (and we have to pay for two weapon sets. Elementalists (and engineers) have a very clear in combat advantage. The price to pay for that is really cheap, you only get one weapon slot.
In other words, ele’s already have a built in weapon swap and they didn’t even have to pay for it. What you are asking for is basically a 3rd weapon set that can only be swapped out of combat. This I would agree with … IF and only IF … it was applied to ALL classes.
My mesmer would love to be able to have greatword and scepter/pistol all the time but the reality is I always need to swap focus for pistol otherwise I get left in the dust with no swiftness.
simple solution is to add a chest lock that you only get it once per day regardless of server you are on. Such a thing already exists. You can only farm orichalcum once per 24 hours, guest to another server and its not there.

If ele gets an out of combat weapon swap, all other class (excluding engineer) should get a 3rd and 4th in combat swap. Then we’ll be even 40 skills in combat for all.
as long as we don’t get anymore pve addons before the very first wvw update I’ll be mostly happy … and please not another useless land mass like Southsun cove, what a disaster that is.
WoW has never given away a free transfer in its life. You had a chance here. If guesting had worked at launch, we would never have had any free transfers.

and I think you are wrong and its a bug. You get credit for every legendry, you do not however get credit for every skill point you collect. You also get credit for every dolyak you kill. I am not debating the number needed, I am however questioning the method of counting.

plains of ashford has a WP added recently, if you previously had the map at 100% and got the reward you will not get another reward when you find the new wp and return the map to 100%. Same thing applies to brisban wildlands, you only get map completion reward once.

Moving to a different map requires so much time? Really? Who you trying to fool here? Click a waypoint, 10-30sec loading screen depending on PC and you are there. If you are going to make a point, please try to be realistic. Saying that its so difficult and time consuming to move to a different zone is so far from reality as to be laughable.
I disagree sorry, allowing guilds to transfer upgrades would just make it even easier for the weak sauce wvw transfer guilds.
i highly doubt we will ever get a level cap raise. Gw1 had a level cap of 20 for its entire life. Anet has also stated the legendary stats will be bumped up to match whatever the highest level of weapon available is. Example would be if we got ascended weapons.
just join the commanders squad with a friend and start using squad chat as your personal chat room … promise you commander will disband quickly.
