The only hostile thing in the route is the Sentry if your team doesn’t control it… So guards are just useless since your team is suposed to control the sentry.
That is 100% false for EB. All supply camps have NPC spawns which wil kill the dolyak in route without guards.
some examples: Pangloss gets cave bats that spawn, Danelon gets bats/krait or harpies
that spawn depending on its destination, Golanta gets skelks and on and on.
And as to the sentry, it cannot kill the yak on its own. The yak will keep walking while the sentry attacks and eventually the aggro radius is too small and the guard runs back to his post whilst the yak heals up and continues on.

I would really prefer more maps. It’s fun to play on a full map but sometimes it’s also fun to have another option available.

As many as we can fit without causing too much stress on the servers. We can’t be more specific than that, but I can assure everyone that the cap is definitely split equally between all three worlds.
We have heard multiple reports for months about people being queued for a map and entering it only to have the outmanned buff, but unfortunately we’ve never been able to verify ways that could be occurring. I’m not saying it isn’t happening, but we haven’t ever been able to reproduce the problem, and if we can’t reproduce the core problem, it makes it basically impossible for us to find and fix the bug

The armors are perfect when it comes to diversity because each crafted set is different.
They aren’t. Just like weapons, skins stay the same in the same ‘base material’.
Examples:
lvl 60 light fine rarity ‘Winged’ armour has the same skin as lvl 65 masterwork rarity ‘Winged’ armour.
lvl 30 fine ‘Outlaw’ leatherworking medium set has same skin as lvl 35 masterwork ‘Outlaw’ set.
Swapping between two weapon sets is and it’s a small step towards other classes getting such a thing for more than two weapon sets.
Ele’s have 40 different weapon skills with a single weapon. Other classes have 20 different weapon skills with weapon swapping. Ele’s are already 20 skills ahead. Ele gets weapon swap then all other classes should get 20 more weapon skills useable in combat.

People naturally want to be there to help out at the beginning and taper off when score margins get to the point nothing is going to change. The only solution would be to shorten matches, but then with resets so close together people wouldn’t care if they missed one, they can always get the next one.
Also consider resets are friday night and the first two days of the match are on the weekend. That is the time most people have free. Come monday the majority of player have work/school commitments that come first.
I would say if resets happened on monday you’d get the most participation at the end of the match, just because that when people can play.
I often get someone in a downed state and use them as bait to suck in a couple more to kill. AoE them all, you can often turn one downed into multiple downed
Nothing you can say is going to convince me that this….feature….is any less moronic than I have expressed. At least now we know why it’s called “downed” state…

I don’t see that many people talking about bag space. In fact, a quick find-in-page revealed two people aside from you mentioned it at all, and neither of them made it a core part of their request.
The aggravation is having to fish through your bags to change weapons. It gets worse when you want to swap from staff to one of our main/off combos (D/D, D/F, S/D, S/F), because the second weapon won’t take up a slot next to the first unless you take the time to constantly maintain your bag slots.
And how is that any different when I need to swap from GS & specter/focus to GS & scepter/pistol?
AS I said above, ALL classes need an addition to the UI for quickslots for weapon swapping or consumables or minis or whatever the player wants to put in there. Stop trying to fix one class when all classes go through the same issues.
Look WvW players have to tolerate doing a hell of a lot more PvE then PvE players have to tolerate doing WvW. Get over it and just do it. Stop the QQ already.
I agree. The commander “rank” should require some form of leadership test to obtain. Having it aquired through PVP seems like the best option. Perhaps have some sort of limit system in place that limits this icon to active, high-ranked PVP players.
sPvP has as much to do with WvW as PvE does.

1. Duels / Players should be able to duel each others outside the main cities. When a two players duel they should only see each others ( no other players, no mobs and no NPCs around them) that way they can fully concentrate on the duel. The other players should be able to see them dueling.
2. Race change / Option to change your character race that should also reset the personal story. If the player has cultural armor (t1, t2, t3) and he changes his race they should change too.
3. Ground mounts / Add ground mounts. Less waypoits in the main cities and only one waypoint in each map located in the biggest village. No mounts in SPvP and WvWvW.
4. Better armor behavior / Change the animation for some armors. For example the armor from CoF tokens should stop flaming when you are underwater.
5. Personal story / Option to reset the personal story of your character and more personal story quests.
6. Crafting professions / Crafting professions should be acc wide and all should be available at one time
7. Water gear / Lose breath overtime and drown if you don’t have water mask equipped.
8. Transmutation / Add way to separate transmuted items back to the original items.
9. Loot / Better drops from Champions and chance for better loot from world bosses.
10. Character names / Character name change option.
11. New playable races / Add Kodan as playable race.
12. Fishing / Add fishing as gathering profession.
13. Acc / Acc wide armor dyes and gold.
14. LFG / Implement ingame LFG tool.
15. House / Implement Housing.

To all those asking the change to WP not happen: How do you guys manage to defend anything that never gets a WP? Makes it sound like you are all of the ’don’t worry we’ll zerg it back later’ mentality.
If you click on the title line for story steps, meta events, etc., it will hide all of the objectives. You’ll still have the green step title, but it will clear some of the clutter.
Why do we never have that option for special events then? the whole karka event and tix event could never be minimized. And why when we minimize the story step does it sometimes undo itself?

that placement has been around forever, nothing new or special there. Anytime I siege up garrison I always place siege specifically to counter that tactic since its well known and often used.

fine just give ele’s in combat weapon swap and remove the ability to change attunements in combat. Sounds fair to me.
Now if anet were to add a simple quick slot bar for ALL classes that players could choose to add food/weapons/consumables/alt gear/whatever so you can swap (when allowed by the existing rules) without having to open your inventory and wade around it in, I’d be all for it.

quite often immediately after a flip there is no option for claiming. I do not know why this is but I have seen it on camps and towers many times. Try waiting 30-60 seconds after flip and see if the guild claiming lord will give you the option.
PS: if the location is in fact claimed the guild lord should say something like ‘this location has already been claimed’ sorry i don’t remember the exact phrase.
Has there ever been an official reason given for why enemies appear as ‘Server-name Invader’? Does this reflect a deliberate gameplay design decision, or a technical constraint?
You mean versus actually providing the player name? I would suggest its to remove some of the childish name calling crap other pvp games are filled with. Anonymity means its much harder to target specific people and bully them.

Why not? Anet has stated if we want to play wvw 100% of the time and never PvE we should be able to. That is their goal. PvE players make a lot more money ‘just PvEing’ then WvW do just WvW’ing.

every account should get 3 free transfers (gives new players a chance to find a home server that suits them, as a new player you would be blindly choosing whatever was available without much hope of knowing what you are heading into let alone what you want to be looking for.) after the 3 are used up make it cost money, and not a token amount either.
Gold is the main issue, but you have to be careful, I and many other WvW’s do not want WvW to be easy money. If it becomes that then it will attract the farming variety of players and it will degrade WvW.
easily solved, upgrades should never have required gold in the first place. Badges are the wvw currency so why shouldn’t wvw upgrades use wvw currency? Of course badges drops need to be reviewed of course and adjusted accordingly.

So for now it’s stuck in a blinders mode rating system that really needs to do match-ups via the active population.
Define active? Is it active during your prime time? mine? someone else? An aggregate value across the entire 24 hours block? or the whole weeks match up?
In your system does someone who sending more time logged in gw2 then become worth more of these mythical point? Or does a new system have to track WvW log in time? If the latter what happens when people AFK in WvW just because they want to be ‘cool’ and brag how many points they are worth?
What happens if say a guild of 50-60 active wvw players decides to stand down for a week because they are feeling burnt out? How do you compensate for that the following week when they return?
2 servers already have gotten tons of people who switched from another server and are boosting up the rankings which messes up the tiers with low population.
There is no system in the world that’s ever going to compensate for server transfers, or guilds taking a break from wvw, or differences in primetime play hours.

Note all walls and gate 100% and we’d held and defended this tower for hours. There was no mesmer inside so don’t try that weak excuse. You got seen, you got destroyed and not hopefully anet will perma ban you and the good players on NSP ostracize you.
