Tier 1 server in NA is one of the most stable tier in all of GW2.

Any server you choose will be fun. However most of the professorial veteran players are in JQ.

If BG also does not buy guilds, I think that’s great for you guys. I personally don’t think BG has done anything wrong, and I welcome the challenge of new opponents. All I can say is that Blackgate received large numbers of players all at once, and that can be perceived differently.
I agree that the trolling, flame-baiting and kitten-talking in here is excessive. However, you have to keep things in context as well; us over at SoR had to sustain 8 long weeks of Blackgate’s forum tormenting in Tier 2 simply because we didn’t have the numbers during non-NA hours to compete with you. That left several people with a bone to pick with Blackgate. And Blackgate hasn’t stopped either; look at Vodka’s recent posting history, or at Killtrox’s tirade over the last two pages. If others came in here looking to transfer, do you think they would be much more impressed with Blackgate? Nobody can control how other servers perceive their own because no one can control all of the people.
Forums will be forums, that’s just how it is. I don’t think forum warriors are representative of their community, and I think it would be rather ignorant of any person to assume so. I urge you to ignore their claims; I stopped taking certain BG posters seriously some time ago, and my forum experience has improved.

I have always ignored it but sometimes it just cant be ignored. I come here looking for what’s going on when i am not in-game and all i say is kittening everywhere. Also, being from SoS, i dunno about your rivalry from T2 but on the official WvW site, BG always discourages people from posting kitten here including 2v1 claims. And Killtrox just moved here, i don’t think it’s fair to bring him into this. Anyways, i am done with this. Sadly, nothing will change i guess and this thread will remain kitten :\

If you ask any sensible SoR member, everyone will agree that we have gotten transfers, and we’re quite thankful for it. All of our friends in TSYM, AFS, HIRE and so on (I can’t recall everyone off the top of my head, I’m sorry! ) are valued members of our community and WvW strategy. I think the idea of bandwagoning simply comes from the volume of transfers; when SoS disbanded, Blackgate got what was perceived to be a much larger influx of guilds than SoR, hence the “stacking” accusations and whatnot. You cannot deny that your WvW capacity spiked as a result. Similarly with Kaineng, Blackgate received multiple guilds in one go, while SoR has received a number of guilds over the last few weeks in a more spread out manner. The difference is simply whether your WvW population increases in spikes, or incrementally.

As far as SoR donating gold: I listen in to our weekly WvW strategy meetings on TS, and the one thing that gets repeated and stressed every week is that we will not offer gold to other guilds. Should they choose to come over, we will be glad to run dungeons and help other guilds farm for gold, and I’m pretty sure we would also have folks who simply donated gold. However, I think that on principle, this is different from “buying” guilds. I’m sure we can accommodate transferring the last remaining members or whatnot, but we wouldn’t simply say “we’ll give you X gold to transfer,” nor would we meet demands of that nature. Our belief is that you should come to SoR because you want to be here, and if you aren’t willing to put in the time (to acquire gold) to immigrate over, then I’m not so sure how strong your commitment is.

SoR actually fought from rank 17. The only reason it actually skyrocketed was due to the actual organization and utilization of ts. SoR only received 2 guilds when we moved from r17 (TW and CDS) that I know of. But despite this, a major wvwvw guild on SoR began to die out (EPIC). But that was enough to get SoR to r5 where we were stomped by BG for several weeks.

Isn’t that what i just said ?? You already had the potential. As soon as you utilised TS and got some co-ordination going, you started jumping servers and eventually reached where you belonged quickly. For once in my life, i am actually praising you lot and already the forums warriors are on me.

The obvious point was that it would be a big achievement if you struggled through each tiers gradually reaching the top while maintaining stability. But you just roflstomped everyone on the way to T3 (where you should have been in the first place to start with) as soon as you got your kitten together.

I was trying to guest today and i actually saw JQ as “Full”. Of course, i know that it depends on the number of players logged in at that time, but here’s the thing. JQ is reaching its capacity. It can’t recruit guilds anymore to demolish any server that go against them. So, this matchup ain’t gonna end anytime soon unless players just stop playing GW2 and quit the game.

And it finally happens. JQ dethroned. BG is #1 NA and will be green at reset.

…and BG proves right now (as JQ has every week prior), that having overwhelming numbers on at all hours is really what “wins” this game at the moment. The system itself is borked and badly designed…but then no game company has yet addressed this significantly.

BG did some major recruiting in the past several weeks, good for them.

Anyways, we’ll see how TESO deals with it. Having one mega super server is going to help due to one huge playerbase to choose from when they zone in for world battles.

With the new despawn timer, such things can only be done if coordinated. A couple of spies/saboteurs can’t do all that. It seems as if a lot of people went out of their way to plant those things so BG can be blamed again.

What I do not understand is why these transferred guilds did not go over to SoR. It would have made for a much better and close matchup. BG already had decent coverage and SoR was lacking. WM and others stated they transferred because the fights got boring, well I do not really see much of a difference now. Same thing just different tier. I think if they would have gone to SoR, it would of been better for everyone involved.

You do not get anything for winning anyways and the only thing left it to have good clean even fights. Perhaps it is just me, but to each their own I guess. Congrats BG on the win this week

What about TSym going over to SoR ?? SoR were more than glad to get an NA guild back then.

Bottomline, people go where they want and where they feel they will have a fun time. KN and TC have always had fun times with BG and probably could have been the factor as well. You could still go back a few threads and see random KN/TC guys popping up to cheer for BG.

Just saw the EU T1 and realised we all should stop bickering and enjoy what we have here; 3 amazing almost equally matched servers who always like to give it all.

Poor Deso and SFR, Viz is at 334K with another 6 hours to go and this has been going on for weeks except for the 2 weeks when Viz actually got 2nd. Also, lol at Anet’s system that even though SFR and Deso are getting owned they can’t drop tiers because T2 is so evenly matched there

The “JQ BEAST” has awakened in order to prevent BG from taking first place. Coupled with the burnout by BG due to pushing hard over the weekend into monday, this resulted in nothing less of expected results and JQ establishing a large lead by tuesday evening.

First time poking in this thread. I know there’s been a huge uproar about our moving to TC and I can only say we moved to just have some fights.

You want fights so you transfer to the largest, most active server in the tier? For most of the day (NA) TC’s zerg is so gigantic that you have to run from it.

It really ticks me off how TC was so gung-ho about “supporting” our recruitment efforts, yet look who is getting all the transfers. I have a sneaking suspicion that the days of a competitive T2 are rapidly nearing an end.

Covenn, i was in BG till last month and i have seen your hate for BG. Please go back to your T1 thread and your amazing SoR community that sends spies to BG to build trebs and all. I humbly request you, please don’t ruin the T2 thread. There are a few trolls but the thread is still good and i am loving this Tier. And you know what, if you go a few pages back, you will find that both KN and TC love BG, so if you are expecting a hate for BG here, you are very wrong. Now Shoo, off to your T1 thread.

P.S. In case anyone is interested, MERC (BG) offcially caught a SoR spy building rams/trebs in BG last week. The image was deleted by mods but i am just saying some things since we have a SoR guy taking kitten about BG here.

First time poking in this thread. I know there’s been a huge uproar about our moving to TC and I can only say we moved to just have some fights.

You want fights so you transfer to the largest, most active server in the tier? For most of the day (NA) TC’s zerg is so gigantic that you have to run from it.

It really ticks me off how TC was so gung-ho about “supporting” our recruitment efforts, yet look who is getting all the transfers. I have a sneaking suspicion that the days of a competitive T2 are rapidly nearing an end.

Oh c’mon, every decent guild has like 400+ members but you will be hard pressed to find even100 active members in them. And out of that, not everyone will be transferring as well. So, i am quite sure that the number of transfers will be much less than these.

Stop exaggerating that we will get like 500-700 members. As someone who spent months in T1, if we can pull out those kinda numbers, then we are well above BG/SoR atleast in the SEA/Oceanic zone.

I know that AVTR has 50 total members and BT has less than 100. Are neither of those guilds decent?

Thats a good point. We all see 300 an guilds that never put out ore than 25-30 guys max all the time and then you have the smaller guilds like BT who put out 30-40 numbers consistently. Overall guild numbers don’t really mean anything.

That was my point; the numbers which were posted were most probably the current Guild Strength which don’t mean for squat as the number of active members is always a different story.

If you want to beat JQ you have to have 24 hour coverage for an entire week. You either need the coverage, or you need to have numerous people putting their lives on hold to put long hours into the game like BG did the week they won.

Oh please, like you haven’t done overtimes while you have been in T1. But it’s all understandable, you can’t go against the wishes of your masters now can you ?? No worries, the 3rd server will always be there to show you how to beat the NA#1 server.

The day I feel the need to do overtime in a game is the day I walk away from it. Overtime = Work. I do enough of that during the week that I’m not about to do it outside of my normal work schedule.

I don’t know about any of the other major guilds, but I know mine hasn’t done “overtime”.

So then what proof does SoR have of BG overtiming and “numerous people putting their lives on hold” ??

You are forgetting that BG was winning over SoR for weeks before the win. And now SoR are winning so i can safely conclude that SoR are overtiming for 2 weeks now. Makes sense, right ??

Ever since your push, BG has been in a slow and steady decline (that graph made earlier in the thread proves that much). You blew your wad and now you burned out a lot of your players. Everyone warned you guys what would happen but you just sat there on your high pedestal and said it would never happen to your server. Well, guess what?

A bunch of guilds on SoS were unhappy with second place so they went to BG. People blame Tsym. There is a rumour a bunch of guilds are unhappy on BG… so people blame Tsym? Maybe, just maybe a bunch of guilds don’t like coming second and Tsym was a scapegoat all along.

They don’t need to. They are more then happy coming 2nd by targeting whoever JQ is after. Many guilds on JQ had bitterness with SoS and then BG becuase it is partly SoS so naturally JQ went after them, followed by the forever 2nd place server that is SoR. Then, when JQ needs some ppt to make a clear first, they will go after SoR. The SoR forum warriors will then show up on the forums with “look guys, JQ and us are fighting. See, there is no 2v1”.

I am not playing my engi anymore but, while I was on that character I always used a macro on my naga for grenades 1 to make it auto attack, never got any warning or what ever.

What are you playing then ?? I mean, i have all fully equipped professions except for thief at 80, but once i played an engi, i found all the rest to be really boring except for my ele maybe. Even though engis have problems, it’s just too much fun.

If you have a Razer, you can use synapse to create a “Toggle” macro for skill 1, this will make it feel like you have auto attack enabled.

Not sure what Anet thinks about that, but its the only way i can use nades effectively while still being able to dodge/move to some level and not destroy my fingers, or wear my keys.

I dare to say its not even grey area, its a mouse feature and with all the gaming mouses out there a simple macro shouldn’t be considered an advantage.

I was thinking about doing the same too but am worried about Anet’s response to it, that’s why i linked Gaile’s post in my original post. I sure hope it’s safe; because, i don’t see how that is an advantage. We are not spamming macros for multiple spells. It’s just one spell, which could have been avoided too if Anet had implemented a simple feature for it >.<
