Honestly, I use nades all the time, never had problems with fingering the keys… A tip though: Set your number one to number 3, so youll be mashing the key with you middle finger instead of ring finger, less tiring.
Never actually had finger pain after going for nades. Just dont spam it, only press it when the cast for the one before is almost over.

This is actually a good idea but after 1200 hours, i dunno if i will be able to get the hang of it.

So if you create a macro to use your grenade toss ability with pushing a single button, I doubt they would take any issue with that. You’re technically telling the game to hit the same button twice, but it conforms with the statement quoted above. That way, you won’t have to mash the button as much (half as much, to be precise).

If it’s some sort of macro that effectively auto-casts grenade toss with a single button push, that starts to venture into the grey area. You’re still technically casting only a single skill, but you’re doing it multiple times. I’d think they’d probably still be ok with it though. In fact, it kind of makes it harder to play because you’d have to have very deliberate control over where your mouse is pointing or else you’d be throwing them everywhere.

Alternatively, you could invest in something like a Razer Naga mouse. This allows for much better usability and aim when using the grenade kit. I’ve also found it to be quite useful outside of the grenade kit. The mouse buttons are actually simple remapping of keys, and do not actually make use of any macros whatsoever, so you could avoid the whole issue of using macros completely with that piece of hardware.

But so long as you’re actually playing the game instead of pushing a button and having the game play for you while you grab a cup of coffee, I doubt ANet will have an issue with it (I can’t really make a statement on their behalf though).

I don’t have the Naga but i do own a Deathadder, so i can configure upto two buttons on the sides. It’s better than the keyboard mashing, but it still kind of a pain though

I know it has been brought up countless times before but it seems Anet has still not done anything with respect to Greande auto-attack which requires me to spam my keyboard button like no tomorrow. I already use the smart targeting but its still becoming a pain to use. I would really like some advice on how the nades engis work with it. Is macro allowed if its only for a single skill ?? I am feeling so happy for this Matchup right now. TC won and everyone is congratulating them with genuine intentions. On the other hand, when BG won 2 weeks ago, it was full of “BG Is cheater serber”, “you should be ashamed of yourselves”, “how do you sleep at night” posts and the people who actually guested to BG to flame the server. Already had this discussion a couple of months ago. If you are finding your server empty, go to Tarnished Coast (NA) and Desolation (EU); their low level areas are generally quite populated. But many people weren’t happy with too many people on a server for the chance that increased incoming guesters will create Overflows and what not, so the idea didn’t pick off. Regardless, if you still want to guest, try one of the above two servers.

Battling for 4, 5 & 6 out of total of 24 servers consistantly pretty much insures there are no losers in this Tier. Not taken in the context of the whole of WvW. T1 may be out of reach for all 3 of us, but given the bullkitten that goes with T1…who needs it anyway.

After 3 months in T1, i can assure you that unless you are an uber-competitive player with a love fr drama, flaming and “no fun while we are in wvw” attitude, it sucks. Sure, there were some moments, but in the end it was just not worth it. Most of the guilds burn crazy hours there. An 8 hour run is common among many commanders. The last-to-last week when BG came first, my ex-guild commander was in WvW for 20 hours up straight where we made the push on the last day. He is a crazy guy.

Stuff like these is the main reason i decided to fore-go T1 for T2 (well except for the ones i said above). I can’t remember the last time we did something fun in the borderlands. It’s always frustration and anger in the map chat, with commanders occasionally getting kitten off and what not. Here’s to hoping you guys continue to do stuff like these

Cirus, why bother replying to people like these? Its obvious people like em don’t know one bit about other servers. Their primary strategy lies in rushing off to a stacked server, spamming autoattacks using their warrior in zergs and then acting all tough on the forums. Also, do note the “Tsym and the rest”; indicating no idea about AFS. Ignore them; we don’t have to stoop to their level.

BG is getting 2v1’ed even in the forums. Also, lol at JQ and SoR who have done multiple CTA’s since we reached T1 but are still calling on us as over-timing. Gotta love the intellectuals who post in the T1 threads.

Even the random mobs drop pretty much sh** which is not at all what the devs promised (they clearly said drops get better with higher levels). This is my post if you are interested :

1. I can’t imagine any BG guild would be against destroying that siege. You can complain and flame, or extend an olive branch and get it taken care of.

2. That guy has rotated tags based on the time of day, posting a screen of him with a tag is sorta meh. Get his character ID out to each servers representatives and see if anyone knows him – otherwise there’s not much anyone can do.

Well like i shared above, even his tags are fake so its kinda difficult to pinpoint where he is from.

Ok why is BG or SoR getting the blame here for this ?? Do you even realise how easy it is to get into a T1 WvW guild. Since there is no way to check whether i am a native of the server or not, i can just come and guest to your server and join one of your WvW guilds and return back to my server to start the trolling. Moreover, there aren’t even any screenshots over here. If you can get the ID of the players instead of the typical blame game, maybe we can take some actions. Just putting blame on the other servers is ruining what was a great week in WvW for all the servers.

To put into perspective the impact of free transfers closing here are the weeks just before and after the free transfers ended. Now look here at what you “endured” and what SoS actually endured.

No your guilds didn’t shift, you kept on stacking up week after week. Instead of guilds moving to other servers you were bringing in new guilds, so let me ask you this. How is this any different ?? And don’t you dare argue about the state of guilds stacked in JQ. Any server from T1-T8 knows about it.

Also, the reason SoS split up had nothing to do with coming 2nd or w/e kitten you are throwing at them. The coverage gaps which SoS had became very pronounced after JQ had their final transfers before free transfers ended. You have absolutely no idea the effort it took from us when we were in SoS just to barely manage 2nd or 3rd. All the work we used to pull up during the SEA/Oceanic hours would be completely lost everyday we woke up. And we endured it like you said for 4 weeks before finally deciding to give up on it for the sake of our sanity. Most of our commanders were pulling insane shifts fighting up and still every morning all was lost. So, don’t you think one bit that the 4 weeks SoS endured is in any way similar to the time you were 2nd.

What level do you run and have you run it after the last patch ?? Because i haven’t made this post just on my experience. Every party i run with has complained of getting rubbish loot from the Maw chest.

It wasn’t this patch, but the Jan 28 patch that did FOTM chests in. It has been crap ever since. I quit running FOTM for this reason. No reason to run them for relics/pristine relics because they are useless now. Nothing to purchase with them.

But the official response is nothing was done to effect FOTM chests once so ever. Just bad RNG.

I was still getting decent loot but after the last patch it was been far from good. I mean its really really bad. And yes, i have noticed a really big decline in the number of lfg/lfm posts over the past few days as well.

Did you read what i wrote, the loot is abysmal as of now, completely rubbish. The mobs seem to have been nerfed too. Backpiece is not a big deal. Only reason i imagine people running it is for fractal skins.

I tried it again and again but all i have been getting are blues and greens from the Jade Maw chest. Even Cores are very rare now let alone lodestones. The chests at the events give much better loot than this. So it has become completely nonsensical to run fractals except for the fun of it which ain’t much after you have run like 297 fractals. I don’t understand whether its a bug or what but it makes no sense. Its like Anet doesn’t want us to do fractals but go camp at the dragons. Please write your post-patch experience with the fractal chests below. It needs to be fixed otherwise there is absolutely no point in wasting 1.5-2 hours on it imo.

Just leveled up my Ele last week and since i absolutely hate Multi-Boon and Bunker builds (already have a fully geared guardian which i lost interest due to the same), i decided to go for Zerker and Valkyrie and the damage you can get is amazing from it. Pyromancer’s Puissance is amazing for DPSing and my survivability is decent too. Sure, i probably cant 1v1 with this but its amazing against zergs and pve dugeons (done fracs till 24 with it uptil now). Even Dragon’s tooth was critting for 11k damage.

Today i was in WvW with my guildies and suddenly i got kicked out and when i login it says Account Suspended for 3 days for inappropriate language ?? I have never abused anyone personally and i have seen people spamming LA with abusive words. Heck, just today, when i quit a party i got abusive messages from the party which i reported. Now, what i wanna know is why my account was suspended ?? I try to be on my best behavior in-game and i cant understand why, of all the people, i get to suffer here.

Please reply to me about this. My account is suspended right in the weekend for something which i haven’t done.

Well good for ND and Merc as they worked hard in WvW the past few months.

BG is a prime candidate for Oceanic WvW guilds to transfer to as BG has very good Amer coverage and ok Euro.

SoS has a good mix of many different guilds but lacks a strong presence in euro which SoR and JQ now has. Ultimately it became unfun for WvW rounds against them and I feel T2 should be more fun (though we need to make space for T1 via BG who has the best chance of going to T1).

I remember hawking commander orders out for jedahs a while back and trying to herd them WvW cats around (we are much better these days) and Merc and ND will be sorely missed!

Suppose now a group of 5 full berserk exotic gear warriors takes down a boss in 60 seconds, and a group of 5 berserk reangers take the same boss down in 3 minutes, we wouldn’t want the 5 warrior nerfed to 3 minutes. We would like to see a group of people with the same gear output the same damage.

There will be differences as warriors outsurvive rangers by far, which is a natural difference, and the ranger far superior in ranged combat. The dps ourput should be the same for similar gear.

I think this is what all of us want. Right now, not only do the Warriors do insanely more damage, they survive more than any other class as well. Warriors also offer tons of utility to the team. Meanwhile Rangers do damage much lower than a Warrior and their contribution to team is sub-par as well. I mean if Ranger is supposed to be a selfish class with not much utilities for the team, then it should have a damage even higher than Warriors to compensate for lack of the things that Warriors offer.

Seriously, the hate towards classes like Rangers (my main), Engies and Necros (currently at lvl70) is getting out of hand. I seriously love the concept of the later 2 classes and want to fully gear them for dungeons and fractals, but the hate they get is terrible and even their usefulness is very questionable compared to the other ones. Please tell me we can expect something on feb 26th

I named my Asura Thief Alt “Wobbly Head”, was pleasantly surprised that it was not taken yet.

Also, a guy in my ex-guild names his toons as “I Am Ironing My <insert animal here>”. I know atleast of two of his toons using Cat and Dog in the name.

People say conditions get removed in WvW zergs but you have to think of all the AOE conditions you can impart. Even if they remove a couple of times you can still spam more. I will switch continuously between Staff and Scepter/Dagger. Its kitten effective when you put em on retreating enemies. Also, i play on T1 server and even here i have found Conditionmancer to be extremely effective that too in the level 50 upscaled to 80 region.

I just started using my lvl 50ish Conditionmancer in WvW on SoS and i kid you not i got 300 kills in 3 days. I just stay behind and spam staff combos plus Blood is Power along with Epidemic. I have found my necro to be the best antizerg tool out of all my chars. I have lvl 80 Warrior, Ranger, Mesmer and Guardian. Try it, its definitely good in WvW if you like the concept of the class.

This might sound like a QQ thread but seriously why ? Already due to the drop nerfs, inflation is going through the roof. It seems like the only way to make money is to flip TP which just adds more to the inflation. It just makes me more discouraged towards my Legendary. I just don’t get how i am supposed to farm when every method keeps on getting nerfed at patches.

TC has a very active PvE community that’s why. Also, TC has a very friendly community that always welcomes new people. Moreover, we will not be touching WvW neither will we be interrupting in their RP unless they want to do it at the Temple of Grenth. Also, people who want to RP or go visit TC will go regardless of the server. Here we are only limiting it to Orr so they wouldn’t be effected in any way imo.

There’s a flaw here in assuming that people who enjoy role-playing their character don’t go out in the world and adventure. In fact, I’d argue that out in the world adventuring is where the best kind of role-playing happens.

The majority of Tarnished Coast won’t remain very friendly if it’s flooded by just anyone looking for a crowded server. The majority will soon become the minority.

I can’t imagine anyone wanting their server to become the unofficial Orr server. I chose my server for very specific reasons. What good was that decision if every time I travel into Orr I end up on an overflow server because guests have flooded the real zone?

This is not what guesting should be used for. And if ArenaNet is going to allow this then they need to give zone priority to players that chose the server in question as their home. “Guests” can have whatever space is left.

I don’t think there will be that many people crowding for Orr. I was in TC guesting and while they do they have a decent number of people in Orr, its not a lot .They are still to complete Grenth (as reported earleir by someone) which a lot of servers have done. And also, overflows take a max of 5 mins. I would be pretty happy to wait 5 mins to get into an active region rather than a dull, dreary and empty wasteland….

Since Guesting is enabled now, i think it would be a very good idea to keep an Orr server for both EU and US so that there are always some players in the area. Why Orr would you ask ? Its because it is one of the few regions that is not easy to complete as solo. Also, keeping a Orr server will keep a decent number of people in it allowing for unlocked temples and easy DEs with sufficient people and a good amount of exploration and farming.

I would suggest the following servers :
NA – Tarnished Coast
EU – Desolation

The reason why i chose high population server is because the population already residing there can also help maintain control of the region which will be always more than guests. Even if there is a overflow created, it takes a max of 5 mins and a working overflow would be an indication that the region is full of people.

So my alt Mesmer is almost 80 and i was wondering what is the best build/gear for physical DPS? I run mostly Dungeons and some PvE and always go Glass Cannon Berserker build (with maxed 1st and 2nd trait lines) on my chars. Is it also the best option here ?? Also, how does Mesmer DPS compare to other mid-tier DPSers like Ranger, etc. Thanks in Advance.

“Hi there;

At this time, we have finished delivering the rewards for the Lost Shores event to all accounts that qualified. This was done through a coding script for any account found to have qualified for the chest. If you have not received a chest then you most likely did not meet the requirements to have these items added to your account.

Now that said there does also appear to be some issues with the mail system. It seems mail boxes are getting stuck and not receiving new mails even when they are not full. So I would suggest clearing out everything in that mail box; after making sure to grab any items or money in there. That should allow more room for those pending mails to arrive. We have heard some cases where only deleting a few mails still didn’t allow the pending mails to arrive properly (for example some players may even show 1 out of 10 mails but still won’t get new ones). So I would again suggest making sure everything has been deleted in there, just to make sure there is nothing at all preventing the mails from being received.

As this was done through an automated process we have no way to manually award this chest. So if after you empty your mail the chest still doesn’t arrive, then your account was not found to have qualified for a restoration and I’m afraid you will not receive the chest.

I tried playing the final event 3 times and got dc’ed everytime. I even sent a ticket that day to support for it. Still, i haven’t got any compensation whereas people who played on Friday are getting chests. Seriously, WTF! !!
