Sure, but then would you see it? And if there is a different effect for each sigil (or rune set), then don’t you need to make them more distinct than just a slight green weapon glow so you can tell them apart?

No,

The effect should CHANGE the weapon’s actual melee trail. You know when you swing your weapon and you get that boring white trail? Say you had a sigil like this, you added it, and now the trail is different! You didn’t add any new effects to the game, just made one look cooler.

It should make the melee trail purple/red or a leeching type effect. It should not be a particle effect but a .swh? (Is that whakittens called.) that way it just replaces an effect already there.

I love Fetid Ground, however I believe it should be a weapon skill someplace and not in the downed state, instead I would like to ask for a new ability, something plain unique to the Necromancer. Wouldn’t it be an awesome hammer ability? :P

I’ve noticed a pattern lately…

Everyone uses the same Traits.

Everyone uses the same Runes.

Everyone uses the same Sigils.

Everyone uses the same Skills.

Can we please have a SIGIL/Rune and Skill Revamp/trait please?

I’m really tired of everyone being the same.

One Example:
Why are pistols not fixed after the year, it should have the SAME speed as ranger’s short bow.

Its a nice heal, but watch out for poison because it effects it more then any other healing ability in the game.

However everyone will come in and say everyone plays all condition removal tanky builds.

It sucks against burst, and poison.

Ice Drake Venom (Instant, 45 second cool-down.)
Chill and Burn your foes when you attack for the next 10 seconds. 1 second internal cooldown (tbh would loose this so you could do aoe conditions).

Chilled: 2 s
Burning: 2 s
Duration: 30 s

Prefer a timelimit than a number of strikes that are normally blocked or hit a pet/illusion/minon.

Would be worth giving up a decent utility skill now.

If you made it a Physical Skill. It would make since, since mending someone IS a physical skill and it would offer it an upgrade and make more builds. It would also make physical builds more kitteny.

Because if it heals for how much it currently does, with a 16 second cool down, it’s as strong as Healing Surge like I said. If it’s at 5500 it’s 343 HPS, more than Healing Surge, almost Healing Siget levels, but removes 3 conditions

One is burstier so it favors mobility more.

Mending would be better for staying in the fight.

If it’s healing was increased by 20% it would be as strong as Healing Surge, except it wouldn’t need adrenaline and it would remove 3 conditions. 6K+ is too much, 5500-5750 would be about right

Why not just make it a physical skill then and then make it 5500? That would have a trait that makes it lower its CD to 16 seconds. Then it could remove 3 conditions.

In DAOC Daecollo, a Sorc was incredibly powerful class, It could pop MoC, and spam a Nuke on you that Lifetapped at the same time, Meaning you basically couldn’t kill them and they could kill you.

MoC had a fairly long cooldown, around 10 minutes.

Valkyries had an ability called Charge, It was a Speed Buff, CC Immune, and it lasted 15 seconds, and could be used every 60 seconds.

Valkyries Rolls up on Sorc, Sorc gets attacked and pops MoC to start lifetapping, Valkyrie Pops Charge and runs away, Comes back 20 seconds later..Kills Sorc now that MoC is down.

Same thing with Warriors, Oh Person Pops Stability and Stunbreaker? Let me charge away, come back a few seconds later, Hit person with 1 Skullcrack, 100B and if they’re anything less then full bunker, They’re Dead.

Though I hear there is talks of moving 100b to your actual Burst Skill instead… So that’d instantly remove that combo and allow you to keep Skullcrack.

If 100b was moved to burst, you would have to increase the autoattack of the Greatsword and make arcing slice give vulnerability, much like they did to Ranger’s Bow. Increasing the Autoattacks damage and giving the final Strike a Unique ability.

Stability being a counter for a 4 second Stun on a 7 to 10 second Cooldown is the most hilarious thing in this thread.

I believe the quote of

“Is this Math Republicans tell themselves to feel better?” fits aptly with this thread.

You can also use stunbreakers, blind, evade, dodge…

But with at least one stability and one stunbreak you got 16-20 seconds until he can hit you again with skull crack. And this his if you dont have passive defensive traits that ignore CC. After that you can dodge, evade, blind if you are not in the mood to keep distance while the warrior is with the mace.

Rofl, What you just said is the equivalent of people telling a Sorc to just MoC when fighting my Valkyrie in DAOC.

No idea what your talking about.

However poison does not need condition damage to be good. Poison is fine with no condition damage because it lowers healing by 33%.

Also, are you talking SPVP, or WvWvW?

Obviously Skull Crack is powerful, but its ST. Most of the complaints of it come from Asura which have a different animation then all the other races. Where if I use it on my Sylvari for example, its very easy to see because it has a unique animation.

If I use it on an Asura, it looks exactly like an auto-attack swing.

1: I disagree with the whole “We have to CC to deal damage”, that is simply a false statement. Only reason that was ever brought up was because of the mass use of GS and the need from a CC to land 100b.

2: Asuras are a complete different issue. While I’ll agree that it is easy to dodge Skullcrack if you know what you’re looking for. That is highly based on player skill/knowledge. In the case of two high skilled players facing off the Warrior should be counting dodges/cooldowns.

You would Nullify the build and fix some issues great-sword has. However you would need to change the great sword’s auto attack to have better damage. You would also need to make Arcing Slice give vulnerability instead of fury. Remove Vulnerability from the auto attack and improve its damage, maybe add something else to give it more flavor?

Again as I’ve stated what you’re posting isn’t my job, that A-net’s.
The issue currently is fixing the problem at hand. If the change was ever implemented and GS needed further changes then I would focus on those. Simply stating “X” would be needed if “X” ever happened without a single point of data or testing is foolish.

Well just changing the skills out would require a rework.

I don’t give my ideas, I base them all on what other classes have and work from thakittens not my decision either.

The cool-down does not start until after you use every tick of the venom.

This has been at the top of my head for a good bit, this fixes and improves the venom traits and skills.

Traits

Quick Venoms and Master of Deception switched places, Quick Venoms is now in Shadow Arts, Master of Deception moved to Deadly Arts.

Leeching Venoms
Steal health when triggering a venom and deals damage. (condition.)
This can only occur once per strike.

Venomous Aura – When you use a venom skill, you apply the effects to all nearby allies as well. (Range Increased to 1200.)


Skills

Spider Venom (Instant, 25 second cool-down.)
Poison and Bleed foes with your next five attacks. This effect can only occur once every second.
Poison: 6 s (504 damage)
Bleed: 6 s (225 damage)
Duration: 30 s

Basilisk Venom (Instant, 45 second cool-down.)
Your next attack turns your foe to stone. This effect can only occur once every ten seconds.
Stone duration: 1.5 s
Venom duration: 30 s

Devourer Venom (Instant, 25 second cool-down.)
Your next two attacks Immobilize, Blind and Reveal. This effect can only occur once every two seconds.

Engineers ate not hard countered by cc warriors. Engineers have access to lots of conditions to cover poison, multiple blinds, knockbacks and 53% less DMG when stunned. Do you all play these classes or just whine about them.

Well, mace+GS vs protection injection is actually an interesting mechanic: protection lasts from 3 seconds (usually people will have 20 points in alchemy -> 3.6 seconds duration). This means you can use another stun / daze to proc it, wait it off, then use Skull Crack. But that means you’ll have just a 1.4 seconds window to land Skull Crack. If the engi knows it, he might try to static shot you as soon as his protection wears off, or dodge out of melee range.

Ideally, that means that protection injection is a counter strategy that lets the enemy use a counterstrategy which admits a counterstrategy too.

A counter for a counter for a counter. Counterception. We must go deeper.XD

Well, said that, probably that won’t happen: the warrior will bash th engi with the mace, not caring about protection. Probably neither of them will deal enough damage to take down the other: warrior is extremely resistant to condi damage coming from a single source and can disable the engi to reduce his condition output, engi can easily negate warrior’s pressure.

Except Mace warrior is ST, while Engineer is AOE.

- Fix the broken necro crap high defense 3 fears 2 invul skills 4k armor 30k hp
high burst trough condiiton
- fix thief perma stealth perma blind non sense
- fix engi that has everything like everything to win a fight that no ther class can win
- fix the broken spirit ranger
- fix the annoying mesmer clones and their burst

- Necro : 4k armor and 30k hp? -> soldier gear maybe? well… No impossible just 3k armor… and soldier gear with condition is no good. 3 fear : ok that’s right. 2 invul? Since when do necro have invul?
- Thief : Permastealth -> yeah that’s annoying but we cope with it. Perma blind… Did you ever played against a gardian they are worst then thieves in this regard…
- Broken spirit ranger… just kill the spirits
- Mesmer : clone burst (this thing does not exist). Fantasm (long setup). Shatter (can do a lot of damage but no more then HB or eviscerate.
- Engi : Poor Engis… but maybe they would be glad to see how highly you value them.

Then, from all this classes you would have aginst warriors (Not that I, personally don’t care for these strong point that it seem you can’t even see). So let’s start the QQ ^^:

“Oh! Warrior to op! Insane condi cleans (1 signet that remove all condi, a trait that allow warrior to remove 6 condi every 12s, natural condi resistance,… etc.), lots of block, insane mobility, insane hard CC (stun, launch, fear,…), Insane power damage (best 1 hit KO with eviscerate, no other class goes higher with one 1), to much acces to stability”

All class already have weak points and strong point. When you got problems against a class because you gear and build as a scisor and they are rock, it’s your own mistake.

You just described several combinations of traits/weapons…

I seem to have no issue beating them and I am hammer, I lack the burst but, this build is insanely easy to read. L2P and try paying attention.

You’re telling everyone to learn their class better yet you seem to know less about Warrior with each increasing post.

Your whining seems to be legendary, i’ve nothing else to say. Adapt? Learn to Play?

Maybe one day you will learn how to beat Warriors?

My ranger can kill 5 people at once without stealth, nerf me?

With posts like this and the other posts more of what I said above, I can’t take you seriously. It looks like Rangers need nerfed.

Poison doesn’t counter the sig at all. Most warriors run with cleansing of ire completely negating the effects of poison and on top of cleansing of ire most warriors run additional condi cleanse.
Or you could do the other “Counter” do burst damage. Well unfortunately after you use your burst damage skills they tend to go on cool down and you need to wait and re-setup to burst. All while the warrior is blocking and dodging and most importantly regening their health.
The sig is a bit much. The passive heal needs to either be reduced or the time between each healing tick needs to be longer.

Poison is a spammable condition by some classes, and warriors can’t just passively remove things, we have to do it actively.

Rangers/Necros/Thieves/Engineer can keep the warrior perma-poisoned. You can also counter cleansing ire with blind.

You just need to learn your classes better.

The fact that you think you need more sustain is actually kind of funny

Regardless, Its not a Matter of how the Warriors will be nerfed, But When they’ll be nerfed.

Cause we all know its coming.

Says the class with more sustain? Lolololol!

Swoop should also get a 2x cooldown if it misses as well since its better then rush, so should Hornet Sting if you miss.

Rangers actually have an easier time getting away, due to evades/longbow/greatsword… lulz

Only we’ve went over this before, Warriors have more Sustain then Rangers do….We can slightly burst heal better then you with Trolls, but through out the fight you have more Sustain, Better Condition Removal ect ect.

Also its funny you think Rangers have an easier time getting away, Completely ignoring what stops a Ranger in the first place, Immobilize/Cripple/Chill, all which are completely ignored by the Warrior and lets them run. Also did you really just say Longbow…Really? I know you’re the laughing stock of these boards..But good lord man….

Yeah protection on dodge isn’t sustain. Protection when hit by a crit? That’s not sustain. Troll heal and signet that heals every second?

Stealth when you use a long bow so nobody can see you? Short Recast?
