I love when I lose a 1v1 fight against a warrior who has 8k more hp and his passive healing is 3 times what mine is and I think “Ya know, even after we got nerfed into the ground during the beta events, we still didn’t have that much damage and passive healing”

Revelation I must admit I am shocked that Necro is your most played profession in sPvP. Daecollo you surprised me with this one.

Yea me too. Very very suprising.

I don’t think Warrior is very strong in PvP is why I don’t play them.

However I can make funny pictures of killing Multiple FOTM Warriors.

It’s okay, main thing is I don’t die if I don’t want to. I play a regen bunker with longbow/greatsword. (I don’t even do condi cuz I hate condi lol) So yea pretty much immortal.

Necro not really a problem, can just circle strafe spamming longbow skills and not lose much HP.

You must not be fighting very good necromancers. That would be impossible against me. However as I said, under rank 10 is pretty much people learning how to play.

That spec maybe a little much to newer players.

I’m good at dodging AoEs lol.

Yes, they can temporarily make themselves immune to Conditions and my poisons, however I have so much stuff I can throw at them that they just can’t keep up with everything that is going on.

I just don’t like warrior in PvP, it is just way too simple of a class. I know what they are going to do before they do it. If they slot Healing Signet I know they can’t heal up after getting 10% HP. I know what they’re strengths and weaknesses are.

By the way, you are still under rank 10, after rank 20 the quality of players goes up dramatically. You can find some scary players in hot-joins.

Signet of Restoration (25 second cool down.)
Passive: Grants health every time you cast a spell.
Active: Grant Protection, Swiftness, Regeneration for 8 seconds.
Healing per cast: 392 (0.05)?

Now has a 0.8 second internal cool down.

You know Daecollo, there is already a way to have protection, swiftness, fury and regeneration while using signet of restoration. Why should we agree with this kind of change while the only thing you add is a pretty nerf?
By the way, if this changes happened no elementalist would even take a look at Glyph of elemental harmony.

PS.: Before anyone ask how you can have prot, swiftness, fury and regen on Signet of restoration. That’s a pretty old and easy going build called “auramancer”. For regen, use rune of dwayna or whatever rune set that give you regen on healing skill use.

You don’t even play elementalist. You admitted it! It didn’t take much convincing based on your ideas.

There is no “opportunity cost” with warrior signet. It ticks JUST like regeneration. In fact, it basically is regenerationX2.

Ele heal doesn’t frequently give 1/4 what the warrior signet gives. It should give just as much or even more based on the fact that we are a CLOTH class expected to fight within melee range.

Of course its a unique #6, however its a #6, you give up all your burst healing for it and it has its weaknesses as well.

However SoR can also be a burst heal, by spamming instant spells, or using its active. It has “Opportunity Cost.” and has more HP/S then HS right now.

Can I get a 4 second stun every 7 seconds , immunity to conditions for 8 seconds , 2 blocks and also be able to reflect projectiles too traited? I’d be fine with Troll Ungeant only healing 400 then. kitten I say we get this to suggestions forums for rangers asap. Sounds good to me.

Rangers have multiple ways to evade, which can’t be gotten through with “Unblockable” Effects, there evades are much wider and pretty much all over their weapons. Your Greatsword’s Autoattack chain has a built in evade in it that is 1/3 as long as our shields block and the attack also does damage….

They don’t have stun know, but they have evades that can be used every 5 seconds to counter stuns and also easy easy access to poison. One of the most powerful conditions in the game.

Classes are different and have their strengths and weaknesses. Your post is pretty much biased against Warriors, However you must remember this before you post.

Out of 8 teams-
9 Rangers
8 Guardians
6 Warriors
5Thieves
5 Necros
5 Engineers
2 Mesmers

Yes, your post only highlights 2 things, condition meta and 2 classes who have a very good tolerance against said meta.

Play a ranger class then get back to me.

Also, spirit builds usually don’t slot stun breaks. It’s harder to evade attacks actively than to pop an oh kitten button like most of the classes in this game. Spirit builds are alot harder than you think regardless of the passive playstyle it represents. Now go back to your duel arena and continue to 1on1 and defend the mace stun atrocity that this game has been plagued with. Like I’ve told many others, when conditions are toned down the class most devastated by it (because we’re forced into condi bunker specs) is rangers so you’ll be able to face roll us in no time.

Stuns are to punish people for running passive builds like spirits.

and they are absolutely overpowered in wvw. spvp is a whole different balance. warriors there do need a shave, but not as big as in wvw. atm warriors are out of control in wvw. if anet finally realizes that wvw balance is not= spvp balance, would make the game actually fun again.

My necro can kill three warriors.

Warriors are “fine” most people just need to learn to play.

Your elite looks exactly like the Bounty Hunter Death From Above from SWOTR.

I had this exact thought when I read it.

I like Jet Rush. And I want a jet pack.

Take Off : a 3 sec evade + swiftness + stun break = thief-like escape. And on a 25s CD makes it wickedly OP.

Target Assisted Rocket Volley: An instant 5x attack? At max range…with fury? That’s like a guaranteed crit volley while doing other stuff. OP too imo.

You realize your giving up your F2/F3/F4 slots for this utility? And your kits?
It would be like a powerful utility.

Power to Vitality should be in the zeal line.

Guardians are supposed to have low health. Stop trying to make guardians op. If you want heavy armor with high amounts of hp, you probably should have rolled a warrior. Judgement is really good as is.

I can make a tanky warrior build and still apply damage via some of the really powerful 10 pt abilities. If I make a similarly tanky guardian, your damage is such that you can not hurt through the Warriors signet heal. So I would say things are not equal.

I can make a really offensive warrior build and truck around at 20k + health and nearly 3k armor. A similalry offensive guardian is the squishiest class in the game. So I would say things are not equal again.

In the current meta I feel we have much fewer workable builds. I have to spec pretty far into co dition removal, which again limits my builds considerably.

The warrior can do all the things people are currently saying would be op for guardian to do. Which I find pretty funny.

You should probably quit because your hands are broken. You will have a disadvantage.

Combined with Adrenal health + Dolyak runes a warrior can put out ~900 HPS with NO HEALING POWER and that regen CANNOT be stripped.

Where do you get these numbers from?
With 0 Healing power

  • Healing Signet is 392 HP/s
  • Adrenal Health is 120 HP/s (at full Adrenalin)
  • Dolyak Runes (lol) is 30 HP/s (they dont even scale with Healing Power)

Thats 542 HP/s if you chose Dolyak runes over the way better Lyssa runes.

Mantra healing has the highest HPS in the game if using restorative mantras. No other time. In fact unless traited for restorative mantras the mantra heal sucks big time.

Mantra untraited at 0 Healing Power is 411 HP/s (for reference Signet is 392)
Traited it’s even 616 HP/s but it still sucks because of the cast time.

Healing turret infact does not have high HPS just based off of the skill. It does have high HPS when your engi blows all his blasts to get max effectiveness from the waterfield.

Wrong again.
Without a single blast (so drop the turret, activate pick back up) it has a HPS of exactly 392.26

Doesn’t it also heal everyone else?

My idea:
Warrior should have Healing signet changed a bit.

What to change:
Make it so if warrior has high hp the regen ticks low. The lower hp gets the stronger the healing gets. (this allows to use the trait well which gives 20% extra power at less than 50% hp)
Changes:
At over than 75% hp it would tick for half of the current hps
At less than 25% hp it would tick twice as much as the current hps
(or if someone suggests it with better values)
Why this change?

Warrior is ment to get stronger as it fights. Like u start gaining adrenaline and getting more powerful (also if mini trait is picked there is a good healing tick per 3s) so first warrior’s healing would be kinda sucky but the more lower it goes the stronger it gets. You could stay alive even if you are low life and proc from certain traits.

Adrenal Health isn’t that good if you spend a lot of your adrenaline. It heals even less then the Guardian’s Class Mechanic.

A theif player known to hate warriors and will do anything he can to get them nerfed so he can beat them instead of trying out ways to defeat them himself.

There is nothing to try. I play a warrior in sPvP and I know it almost hard counters my build. There isn’t any point to playing my thief in sPvP right now knowing hard counters exist for it and none exist for my warrior.

you’re not using enough of the things that makes warrior OP in the current meta.

i’m just going to speak from the point of view of a thief. If a warrior is not using healing signet it’s pretty much a free kill also you’re too glassy I can see why you get killed easily. get some more armor, and sustain and use either condi bunker with LB + w/e or mace+shield/greatsword and cavalier armor.

Warriors never went on other forums and QQed and asked for nerfs to other classes, WE wanted improvements to ours.

No it’s just mostly warriors complaining about thieves and vice versa. We practically hate each other.

If I could have 1 cent for everytime a warrior claiming how imba backstab is for hitting X damage on their oh so high armor then I’d be rich.

Because players are ignorant and don’t know how to counter Healing signet.

Why don’t you enlighten us then, oh master of countering unstrippable passives

The burst heal is terrible. Healing signet can only rely on the passive regen. That is the weakness of the healing signet.

It shouldn’t take more than few brain cells to brainstorm that high dps destroy the healing signet warriors.

That’s why the carry immunity spells, massive condi clean and multiple stunlocks. Each stun = 2-3k worth of healing and they bring 4+ so that you can’t dodge all of them. Assuming that you can consistently maintain enough damage to overcome the passive is ridiculous, they purposefully chose this spec because the healing more than matches most pure DPS specs.

Condi clean, immunity spells have cooldowns. Mace/shield Stunlocks have short range.

When immunity happens, you don’t use high burst damage and you don’t facetank the warrior, instead you kite the warrior.

You dodge important skills like the GS’s 4 skill. If you dodge that, the warrior will have a hard time trying to catch up to you. You do not waste dodge, you do not chain dodge, You do not faceroll, instead you watch the warrior’s attack.

After immunity is down, you spam every CC and burst down with every burst damage and auto-attack you got. You make sure you get defensive when Mace/shield is up, and get offensive when GS is up.

You need to play as a warrior in order to learn how to defeat warriors.

I played warrior for a few hours yesterday and it is literally the easiest, most face-to-desk boring thing to play. ever. The 0/10/30/0/30 hammer/longbow build has everything: almost complete immunity to conditions due to cleansing ire and berserker’s stance, giant burst against stunned opponents, high defense and large HP pool, 600-800 passive healing every second, access to stability, and complete immunity to both conditions and regular damage when needed. All while retaining the ability to deal huge numbers with low cooldown skills. Oh, and access to very nice conditions like blind, weakness and immobilize.

Needless to say, I was more effective than on my thief main which I’ve spent 600 hours trying to learn well.

The skill floor needed to do well on a warrior currently as opposed to a different class right now is appallingly low. In fact, it’s basically non-existent.

~2% crit per unused sig is pretty good for a adept trait, sig warriors they r not weak(they can hit like a truck), pertty good build if said warrior is lone wolf and have no friends to do stuff with and runs around in open world areas, only reason people dont run them is cause they dont make your dungeon group stronger, however when there is 4-5 warrior in group for a dungeon runs, getting 40k hundred blades with a sig warrior is no surprise

Mobile Strikes is good for running away from anything, its meant for getting the hell out of there and fight another day/minute in pvp/wvw

every trait have their use in some situations

2% per unused Signet at level 80, is abyssmal, and not worth it due to the other lines in the tree that add at least a base +10% Critical Chance.

Why use that when there is an almost 100% guarenteed 20% critical chance right next to it? It makes NO SENSE

It doesn’t do that well, Mobile Strikes is a pretty poorly made trait, because by the time you use the skill, you don’t need to use it anymore. It cures as soon as you use the skill but you can still be immobilized, ect ect.

It is way to situational for a 20 point trait.

“Other classes” don’t get -33% cripple/chill/immob duration, 2 stability skills (+ elite), a maximum of 3 cleanses every 5 sec via Cleansing Ire (yeah, blind yadda yadda) and/or virtual immunity against immobilize via movement skills.

So, we have had months of people complaining about F-U, now they do something to address that issue.
And now people suddenly seems to think that F-U was the most awesome and perfect path ever.

ArenaNet really can’t win.
If they don’t change stuff people complain that the world is not changing and stuff is bad, boring and don’t get fixed.
If they do change stuff people complain that they fix stuff and that the bad, boring and unfixed stuff was good as it was.

I hatedkitten however I absolutely loved the lore around it. It deserved a better story and the Fae-Sylvari and the Courts deserve a better story. Did you ever STOP AND READ the dialogue they have in that story?

Fyonna is one of the most interesting and unique villains we have in GW2, and her winning is one of the best scenes in the entire game.

Already did it, quite a few months ago, so I don’t even remember it. I don’t usually redo any of the dungeons, except AC and thats only when its daily (either story or explorable). Arah (all paths) is the only dungeon I haven’t done yet.

Arah has some interesting fights, but could be refined.

The end of F/U has these spiders that shoot poison blobs a the rate of a machine gun. I am convinced that the attack rate some kind of bug because it looks ridiculous and does a hilariously out of character amount of damage.

People used to deal with it by simply not aggroing them and it was ridiculously easy, but there was update some months ago that changed their aggro(but not their attack rate). Now people chain reflects and zerker it down, but if you don’t have the right party for it, it will be hard.

To it being cut, I say:

Signet of Restoration (25 second cool down.)
Passive: Grants health every time you cast a spell.
Active: Grant Protection, Swiftness, Regeneration for 8 seconds.
Healing per cast: 392 (0.05)?

Now has a 0.8 second internal cool down.

You know Daecollo, there is already a way to have protection, swiftness, fury and regeneration while using signet of restoration. Why should we agree with this kind of change while the only thing you add is a pretty nerf?
By the way, if this changes happened no elementalist would even take a look at Glyph of elemental harmony.

PS.: Before anyone ask how you can have prot, swiftness, fury and regen on Signet of restoration. That’s a pretty old and easy going build called “auramancer”. For regen, use rune of dwayna or whatever rune set that give you regen on healing skill use.

Yes, and every Ele in the game is 0/0/0/0/30

Anyone who told you it’s bad is stupid. Don’t listen to people who say condition spec or healing spec on warrior is bad, because they’re all WRONG. It takes 5-10 people to kill me, my pindown does almost 20k worth of bleed damage, my combustive shot ticks at nearly 1k per tick. No one will live through that.

Gear: Dire.
Runes: Melandru.
Food: Lemongrass.

I think this is your “Super Secret Build” running “Dire” gear with Health/Toughness, because honestly anything else with a condition spec would be fool-hardy due to how limited builds are.

This build is absolutely worthless in SPVP, due to not having the Dire Stat. You also said you have 2000 condition damage, which means you need 30 points in the precision tree. Since you bleed so much as you say, you probably have “Furious” to build adrenaline 3 times faster then you normally would.

Grats on telling me your build though, it wasn’t very hard to figure out. However this build is absolutely worthless against Necromancers, they will give you back and cure your bleeds off so fast its not funny. It also fails against Sigil’s of Generosity.

Now that everyone knows the strengths/weaknesses of the build, good luck. Your a really good 1v1 and dueler though!

Lol that’s what I do. It’s more effective if you use the longbow since then condition removal happens by itself with cleansing ire. What’s wrong with it if it’s effective? Am I supposed to just not move?

Poison as counter to Healing Signet is another myth of the warrior forums. Next to my favorite, blind counters Skull Crack.

Blind counters ALL warrior skills.

Don’t worry, people should not have to use a shred of skill to defeat a warrior. They want to beat them with raw damage skills, not using their head, spamming skills and not using blind and cc. That is why they QQ.

Basicly they want them to be free kills like they were three months ago.

Here is what I see…
I don’t wanna have to slot a blind…
I don’t wanna have to slot a stun break…
I don’t wanna have to build my toon to defeat yours…

The problem is… THAT IS WHAT WARRIORS do… WE build our toons specifically to beat other toons. I made my toon specifically to counter condition-meta-mancers and other condition spamming classes. People who use power damage trash me.

I’m happy to see Warriors in the tourny!

I am sad, however, to learn they’re all the same build, more or less. Warriors do need some buffs (read on before flaming) to their lesser used skills, and some of their worthless traits.

The stuff that warriors have now, that are getting them into tournys are obviously fine. That is to say, all #6 heals are in good shape. Berserker stance is good, as are all of our signets, battle standard, etc.

The things that need some love are: Axe 2-5, Greatsword F1, Thick Skin, Reckless Dodge, both longbow traits (fix the bugs), Rampage, and the 7-9 utility banners in PvP/WvW. I’m sure there are plenty of others.

Just look at what is being used, and what isn’t.

Buffing these underdog skills/traits shouldn’t really increase warrior strength as a whole, just increase the variety of builds out there.

Unload needs to Function differently.

Well, if you made it like a channeled ability that lasts forever, you can use it when ya need it instead of just draining all your int for a small attack that could get interrupted.

That’s not the point. Every thief will still drain all of its initiative on Unload anyway on P/P with your suggestion. The point is that nobody wants to have only an option to spend initiative on in a weapon set.

It is basicly how it was before, except it costs 1 less initative (4 for 8 shots instead of 5 for 8 shots.) and the shots do more damage.

Instead of stopping, you hold the button down and it continually fires until you run out of int.

It is so your not completely dedicated to the attack.

You could literally hold down “Unload” for 5 seconds and waste all your initiative, or only fire 2 very quick shots and waste 1.

Unloads need to be changed, not as he proposed, but needs a change.

Right now P/P is only Unload, there is no reason at all to use any other skill just because Unload gives the max damage output available.

They should rework unload giving it some utility in order to not completely make P/P only about draining initiative on unload.
