Healing Signet (Bring it down in pvp only 25% so its 298 hp/s.)
However bring its scaled up with healing power from 0.05 to 0.15. There is no reason a trait or a boon should have more healing power scaling then a healing skill. The skill is fine in PvE less you buff our healing some how in other areas.
https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/professions/warrior/Grandmaster-Trait-Idea-Adrenal-Recovery/first#post2924952
Healing Signet isn’t very good against people who know how to play against it, and the meta is about to shift against it when it gets away from condition damage.
(Make Mending more like it was in GW1, a short heal over time.)
Mending (20 second cooldown.)
You and regenerate health over time. Cures a condition every second.
Health per second: 1612 (0.25)?
Duration: 5 s
(383 Hp/S) (Good heal for using, cures conditions over time.)
Healing Surge (30 second cooldown.)
Healing: 9,820 (1.50)?
Protection: 6 s
Regeneration: 6 s (780 health.)
Adrenaline: 30
(341 Hp/S) (Good burst heal, less HPS but offers some support for 6 seconds.)
I know we shouldn’t get protection, however there is almost no way to make this skill different from the other ones without giving it something unique, and the only thing I can think of is protection. Why use Surge over the other heals when it heals less? It needs something like Hide in Shadows cures conditions AND stealths, I want this to be a burst of help like that.

(edited by Daecollo.9578)
I believe Healing Surge is pretty good where it is. Mending could stand to be improved a little, perhaps not as a heal over time skill although that does give it a similar effect to the GW1 mending skill.
Healing Surge needs to be unique, right now it really isn’t. Other healing spells in the game with long cool-downs heal and then do something else.
Mending should be like it was in GW1, a heal over time.

i had many players helping me with my reearch and finding of the class who is responsible for not dying at -99% health.
Finally today. we ended our research and findings today of tracking down this class who just can’t die when reached at -99% health.
And to our surpise, it was a warrior.
It is becoming a problem and more will soon come in exposing this problem.
Like yesterday in wvw, as to the other days, our zerg of 10-26 players encountered 4 of these -99% unkillable warriors and it was just too frustrating to deal with them, so we chased them until they ‘broke off’
Here’s the question i have for the warrior forum, is there a build that prevent you to die at -99% health?
Is there a trait, skill that does?
Are there any food that gives you that death defying invincibility?
It obvious that Arena.net buffed your class to far extreme in such ways, this finding may not surprise man’ not that i have anything against the class beside perma-stun.
So again, can you explain to me how you do it or at least confirm its existance,
I just need the truth, that’s all.
Thanks-
Sounds like something anyone could of ran into, if its a hacker it could be any class.
https://twitter.com/TalathionEQ2
Theoretically a warrior can get perma protection with a boon duration build.
Just saying….
Where? How?
Make a video!
https://twitter.com/TalathionEQ2
So we have a huge problem there that comes with the LFG, its almost impossible to make the party you want you will get random/lowbie or whatever. So i was thinking about it the other day. What if an Ele could summon a giant mace to one shot mobs and the fastest speed runs would just be 5 eles? That would suk for me as a warrior having to reroll to a caster. And i think its not their fault if the classes is extremly weak in PvE compared to guardian/warrior, the person just likes his class and he dosent have to reroll for something he dosent likes I think the problem is coming from the : DPS side because in PvE you pretty much only need 3 things ( might, fury, stability, vulnerability) Thats the most used stuff , the rest is all about kill the thing.
So its obvious that the content cant become very hard and require huge control effects or something but i think arenanet can buff their armor/hp + the base damage for PvE to solve the inbalance issue. I know alot of people dont care because they have dungeon guilds, but i pug 95% of my runs and wating 15min for the ‘right’ party is not fun or getting randoms and killing the boss for 15 mins its not fun either. And honestly the ‘’ ffriendly casual game’’ is kinda false lol. Gw2 speed run is probably the most elitist thing ive ever seen in a video game. seriously just fix their poor dps and poor armor and it should be okay.
The content is easy is why.
I wouldn’t bring a Warrior to CM over an ele or guardian.

Poison countering Healing Signet is a myth of the warrior forums.
It helps a lot. Other counter is direct damage burst. thieves and mesmers are doing fine.
Poison and burst damage literally cripples the spec, however I haven’t fought a Necromancer or Engineer or Thief who uses this in the meta, only condition-tank ones. When the meta changes and we see more burst styles again Warriors won’t be as strong as they are now. However people refuse to Adjust to them. Its easier to nerf then to adapt.
I play a power necromancer, my weakness for example is stealth thieves because I can’t target them to perform my combinations, this means my minions can’t chain knockdown or cripple them. (I strip stability with my attacks, so it does not help against me) I spam burst damage and poison and trash most warriors who run signet, Did you know I can still use my minions abilities when i’m stunned? This allows me to knockdown/poison warriors even if they stun me and still hurt them!
Power Damage is the key, most of these warriors you fear so much are specced FOR THE META, making themselves very tanky against conditions. However if you fight them using Power Damage, they literally melt.
Rock, Paper, Scissors
Here is what I see:
Dear Anet,
Rock is overpowered, nerf its power down a lot. Paper is fine.
Love, Scissors.
dieing laugh and used to play a power necro too before I changed to condition sort of miss that old build.
oh and your right on the money direct damage breaks the build like little pieces of paper.

I don’t see how its OP in PvE, however it matches what other traits can have. So I don’t care about your comments any-longer. A warrior could not have this trait and merciless hammer, and cleansing ire.
Anything that improves the warrior a bit is suddenly OP, there is no arguing or fighting against you. So please leave I don’t like it when you come on every single one of my idea threads and leave useless garbage that just starts fights with me, that is pretty much trolling.
There is a constructive way to say something is powerful, and the way your doing it isn’t constructive, its actually rather rude.
daecello I actually like that idea. idk if I would put it as a grand master trait though buti can see problem devolping from it. it would need a limit put on it or oh god would it be op. I gain health when i’m hit I hit I gain health. flurry and furious would be hell over powered.
but once that limit is in place you waste healing potential.
you nailed a major issue with healing signet left out a major part of it. healing signet has to be so powerful for sustain because that is literally all it is. it’s got no real spike heal to it like ad rush infact it has no spike at all really. it’s why I highly doubt we see signet of healing get (balanced) any time soon maybe a longer cd but the worst ting you can do is use it as it is.
The problem is, other classes get evades/grandmaster sustain traits more powerful then what I suggested in this thread, protection, evades, blinds, aegis, weakness spam, perma-vigor…
spiked armor and defy pain don’t seem like they’d be bad traits although I have to concede never used them 20 is the highest I go into the defense line.
Spiked Armor is pretty bad, Defy Pain is just lulzy.

Never have i met a warrior in wvw so superior, hammer + mace build stun/knockdown!!
You would think staff – s/d would be to my benefit as longrange, just couldnt nuke cond on him.
Even with full stunbreak skillbar and elite did i managed to escape from 24/7 stun and knockdown.
How do we necros counter such a warrior build.
Casue god forbid me to run with full skillbar stunbreaks just for the sake of that build!
Or is that our ultimate weakness.
I made this picture that may help you.
https://twitter.com/TalathionEQ2
On land they look like gas masks, which is cool
I know..
https://twitter.com/TalathionEQ2
Because “immersion”. Same reason we’re forced to use aqua breathers underwater instead of our normal helmets.
So NPCs get to do what they want and look cool, but…
Immersion ruins RP.
https://twitter.com/TalathionEQ2
I’m not going to watch a half hour video to see an NPC wearing an aqua breather. Perhaps a picture would suffice?
https://twitter.com/TalathionEQ2
Why can NPCs use it and not PCs? Does not make sense, let us use the appearance of masks on land.
Been asking for this since the game came out.

Some weapons would get the quickness and some wouldn’t.
However 1% per stack is OP? Wat?
https://twitter.com/TalathionEQ2
as a warrior you can have easy access to
lots of bleeds
burn
torment
Confusionjust by traiting and using the right weapons add sigils and you can have poison as well.
add runes of perplexity and you can have even more confusion.all of that with great CC abilities and lots of cover conditions.
it is a viable buildYeah, because all Warriors are 30/30/30/30/30 with access to 4 weapon sets!
Didn’t know I could run Longbow/Sword+Sword and Hammer/Mace+Shield… these warriors are RIDICULOUS!~
http://gw2skills.net/editor/?fIAQNAscTjkOpu1OOPMxBCjihI+jikMF9h5A-TEArOA
Burning, Bleeding (up to around 15 stacks easily), Poison, Confusion, Torment, Cripple, Immobilize, and it’s not even completely filled out. There are 15 trait points free (and you could easily drop some from the condi line if you need more), no runes, it’s set in pvp mode so it doesn’t have access to food, certain sigils/rune of perplexity, it still has two open sigil slots.
Full condition warrior dps, the last time I ran the math, clocked in at higher than any other profession’s condition build in PvE. 8k is possible on a self-sustainable level, and other players could potentially help bring it over 10k. It wasn’t using anything related to confusion (or the power line in general), but it’s pretty kitten ed easy to build a warrior around lots of conditions at once.
Yes, lots of those bleeds.
https://twitter.com/TalathionEQ2
No. The whole point of quickness is for bursting and making it so fast that there is little time for reaction. 100% was too much so it went to 50%.
The changes you are proposing would defeat that purpose and make it a mechanic for sustained DPS, which in this case would become extremely OP.
Think about the new Ele traits alone?
When you critical with an air spell, gain quickness?
Gain quickness when you burn someone for Fire Traits?
https://twitter.com/TalathionEQ2

How would it be OP, 1% for one stack would make it a lot easier to put into skills and abilities, and make it easier to balance and a lot funner as a skill.
It would add a LOT of new traits and skills into the game.
https://twitter.com/TalathionEQ2
Quickness used to be a huge part of the game, but it seems like it was slowly phased out. Why not make it a boon that isn’t as strong?
I wonder if there is a way we can bring back quickness, but make it more like Might, where it is like this:
Quickness
Skills and actions are 1% faster.
Stacks up to 25 times.
Then we can have more attacks that give quickness since its a lot more balanced as a skill now.
For example, a new thief trait:
Swashbuckler
Gain quickness on a critical hit with a sword. Lose all quickness when you enter stealth.
Grants 5 seconds of 1 Quickness.

Honestly, healing signet is too good . The other heals are fine
There are far better heals in the game, however HS is the best heal by Raw Power, however it lacks what other heals do.
It does not do more then just heal.
It does not heal others.
It does not cure conditions.
It does not give boons.
It does not prevent damage
It has no Opportunity Cost, it is always the same healing, less your poisoned and its a lot less.
Its not too good, it has its weaknesses like every other heal in the game.
Our other heals/sustain traits need brought up to par, then we can look at it.
https://twitter.com/TalathionEQ2
(edited by Daecollo.9578)
You people need to learn to play, really. Necromancer is one of the best professions in the game and I am tired of seeing these threads.
I play a Necromancer in SPVP and I don’t think i’ve ever lost to a Warrior, I lose to thieves, but not Warriors. Sure they can run away, but there is No way a stun locking warrior can do enough damage to me to kill me. Not 1v1 anyways.
https://twitter.com/TalathionEQ2
We need our sustain spread around like other classes have theirs, our traits are mostly lack-luster compared to what other classes receive.
We need a Grandmaster Sustain trait. This would allow us to spread our healing around so its not locked to single skills.
The reason for example: “Healing Signet.” gets so much attention, is because of the raw healing it gives, if it gave less healing then our sustain is nerfed to the ground, because we really have nothing else right now. Adrenal Health is alright, however since we are constantly using our adrenaline, the skill becomes worthless for a little bit then decent, it fluctuates so much its not reliable.
Other classes have so much sustain going on, its not easy to see where there sustain comes from: Stealth, Death Shroud, Evade-Spam, Protection, Blind-Spam, Aegis-Spam, Vigor-Spam… Warriors don’t have any of that, that is why we NEED heavy healing.
Defense Grandmaster
Adrenal Recovery
Gain health when you gain a strike of adrenaline.
Health per strike: 114 (0.02)?
(Heals for 50% less in PvP.)
Why is this trait good?
It works well with our current traits!
Warrior has many traits that make you gain more adrenaline, however since we cap out so quickly it is kind of pointless. This would also make *Axe offhand and mainhand have its own role, currently the Axe is worthless to use over the Mace and the Sword, it has no mobility and the only thing it has over Mace and Sword is it gains Adrenaline quickly, however there is really no reason to do that right now.
It has counter-play!
You can prevent the warrior from gaining adrenaline by making his burst miss, you also counter it with things like poison and blind and aegis. It is a very balanced trait since you can only gain up to 30 strikes in a set amount of time. Unless you use long bow, however if you do you are losing valuable CC and Mobility.
It would add a ton of new builds!
Axe/Axe and Longbow is what I see right now, this build would have no mobility and no crowd control, but be more tanky then the other warriors. I think we need more variety.
I hope a developer or someone reads this, I don’t want my class to be horrible like it was several months ago. Thank you if you do.
https://twitter.com/TalathionEQ2
(edited by Daecollo.9578)
wow…you know not every warrior is OP, cuz that’s exactly what it sounds like most of you are saying here. Warrior’s get eaten alive by condi’s. Even if they bring Berserker Stance, warriors either just get kited, or ignored and usually end up chasing someone just so they save their burst and not waste it during berserker’s stance.
Adrenal Health needs no nerf at all. we get 360 health every 3 seconds, assuming we don’t use any adrenaline… I can understand healing signet getting toned down a bit, but ever since it was buffed, lots of people have been using it. It was just about useless before. The only thing I saw it being used for was 5signet burst builds :P
And if signet of stamina only removed like 2-3 conditions, then wtf. What else is there for condition cleanse aside from mending? mending is an okay condi cleanse…but not really. It’s okay with restorative strength, but the heal amount is still pretty low.
Healing Surge needs no nerf at all, not even the cooldown. It’s not entirely the builds that are “OP” but it all comes down to player skill/strategy vs classes. You can’t just hope that because you have a good build means that you’re going win every single time…
Honestly, if it does need nerfed. We should get a Grandmaster healing trait like every other class does. You seen how much healing some of the traits other classes have can do? Its ridiculous.
Healing Signet is easy to target because its easy to calculate and everyone can pick on it, because its so simple. Its just a huge target. They put almost ALL of our survivability into ONE skill instead of spreading it around… We don’t have Protection, Evades, Aegis, Perma-Vigor, Blind-Spam, Teleports, Stealth like other classes get.
Give us a trait like other classes receive, THEN lower it.

Warriors are OP as kitten and if you don’t think this then you don’t know what you’re talking about.
Source: 30k wub kills, champion legionnaire, 2k+ hours on 3 different wars. The amount of pressure skills (Stuns, bursties, sometimes both) that primarily the longbow/hammer build can put out is more than any class not abusing perma vigour and energy sigils can dodge – all of this while being absurdly tanky in zerkers with the healing signet and high armour. What’s more, if you fail to dodge one of these skills – pin down, backbreaker, earthshaker, staggering blow, bulls charge, list goes on – then the recurring punishment is far, far greater than any other class can put out due to the insane length and damage of combo stuns/imobs. The solution is simple, fix para sigil.
THAT BEING SAID: So much other bullkitten resides in this game that is also op as kitten, and buffed to all kitten since last patch. Spirit rangers, necromancers, and lesser so S/D thieves mainly come to mind. Nerf warrior and you get necromancer dominance, which is… uh… fun. I promise.
So basicly every class in the game except Necromancer is OP and can get out, which has Death Shroud (30k more health.)
Honestly, all 3 of my utilitys on my warrior are STUN BREAKERS

Can i name two? Cuz they go a little bit too well together. Skull Crack+100swag. Like what is the point of even having any other skills on GS and mace when your whole damage comes from a single skill like 100swag? On other classes you may be able to stun for 3sec and i say may cuz not even all classes can and have an extremely long CD on the stun. On war you get a 3sec stun per wut? 10sec or less? combine this with 100swag (the only thing you need on a stunned enemy while on other classes you need to use a bunch of skills to get even close to 100swag damage) and we get a lol combo by excellence. Of course there’s some other cheese like S/D but nothing comes close to healing sig/skull crack+shield bash/100swag spammers.

Didn’t know they had Soldiers gear in Spvp.
However yes, toughness isn’t much of a threat without protection. If you hybridize your power and condition damage instead of focusing on just one you can literally melt them.
What? The meta warrior has 40 – 45% damage reduction simply by the high armor value. Warriors don’t need protection to be tanky. In the current metagame damage reduction via armor is superior to protection. Protection – as a boon- can be easily stripped by S/D thieves. High armor, however, cannot be countered, except for conditions. Conditions are easily countered by Berserker’s stance and Cleansing Ire. In summary, neither conditions nor power damage pose a threat to the meta warrior.
Hybrid? Power and condition damage? Don’t get me started on this one.
42% if you use soldiers and 30 in toughness.
Meanwhile, Guardians get 42% + 10-15% + another 33%.
S/D thieves are getting a huge nerf soon.
https://twitter.com/TalathionEQ2
Because i care, i’ll even give you the ultimate hybrid crit/condi answer for warriors : ALL CELESTIAL ( armor + backpane)
You get the crit , the conditions and everything else to be able to run a viable hybrid build. Without having to beg the devs to change a trait to suit your needs….Kay you do that and have no +power
You do get some power from it, crit , prec, condipow and everything else for what matters with fullon celestial. You’re never gonna be able to have fullontrolololzerk damage AND the strong conditions…. that would be overpowered.
Using fullon celestial I can have every basic sword swipe do around 1-1.3K if it crits ( which is most of the times) and still have the bleeds go for about 100ish with a 0/25/20/10/15 build on pizza +crystals.
This isn’t theorycraftage. I took the time to craft that full set of celestial armor and to get all the pinkies because I knew it would push the limits on hybrid crit/conditions builds. It’s a little like Rabid armor + fullzerkback but better because you get higher crit bonus overall at the loss of a little power. Precision remains about the same.
Hencewhy EQUIPMENT ( and build, when it comes down to it) is key.
Because just bleeding is so OP compared to Burning/Poison/Torment/Bleeding.
https://twitter.com/TalathionEQ2
You said it all. Protection is a must. Warrior dont have that. Its more important than HP/heavy armour. They could take elementalist protection away and give them armour and hp and it would be a huge nerf to them. You can see the warrior state before healing bufs and take conclusions. No HP/Armour was good enough to make a diference.
Now thieves: How do you damage someone you dont see? And dont bring the old argument “Spam AoE”. It only works if the thief is weak.
Protection is not a must.
Protection is half a replacement of armor with no 100% uptime. If you were able to mantain protection permanently (which isn’t the case anymore), then I’d say that it is a good replacement over armor, but since it can’t be mantained it isn’t as good as heavy armor.
That’s why bunker elementalist isn’t viable anymore. I’d say that if you give to elementalist heavy armor and high HP pool taking away protection, most of them will be extremely happy.Warrior pre-buffs was weak because it had not enough condition cleansing and healing, now they rightfully buffed them, but they have way crossed the limit.
A stealthed thief is not attacking you. So why are you so eager of hitting him if he’s not harmful at all? Wait him to destealth (because he has to) and blow him some hits while he’s on revealed.
You can even swing some blind autoattacks trying to damage him if you want, but you don’t really need to do so.
Protection is equal to having 2750 (Armor.). Its literally an extra set of armor.
Our Condition defenses are probably getting nerfed.
https://twitter.com/TalathionEQ2
Would be safe to assume you are not packing high toughness with your spec as well.
Pretty much.
When you are glass cannon vs glass cannon, the one who hits first usually wins, without considering some exceptions.
Yep.

So, power damage is the solution against meta warriors that run soldier’s gear/amulet? LOL!
Didn’t know they had Soldiers gear in Spvp.
However yes, toughness isn’t much of a threat without protection. If you hybridize your power and condition damage instead of focusing on just one you can literally melt them.
