Looking for pve dagger build

30/25///15 is the best dps dagger build(until the patch).

30/10///30 is a DS build.

Does first build require to stay in DS and push #1?

Nope, the first is the standard dagger build. Just get your weapon and go pew pew.
The second however is a DS #1 spammer build.

DS and damage reduction

Floating text and combat log maches. I equiped Vital Persistence to minimalize LF degen and it seems to be correct.
Btw i tested it on risen drakes near R&D waypoint at Cursed shores. Maybe i will give it a try in a few other zone.

edit: Now im totally lost. Went for the fish heads, full zerker gear with around 13k hp and nearly 10k LF. Charge the cute fish head, boom, insta down from ~22k dmg. I swapped 3 piece of my armor (head, shoulder, chest) to PVT gear. Charge again, almost dead with 2k hp left. Swap the gloves too. Charge and after a tick i still had a tiny amount of LF, no hp was harmed during this test. Im lost … im totally lost now …

DS and damage reduction

in Necromancer

Dalanor.5387

A few patch ago when damage taken was tested by many players in deathshroud they said its like it has a 50% damage reduction compared to normal form. Thats why players tought it has a 120% base hp value instead of 60% as developers stated. But as i trying it now ingame it doesnt change, no extra damage reduction in DS.
Is this intended now or not?

Stability should be a Necromancer hallmark

Just one word again: Shade. With not so many boons on us i would be so afraid from any kind of corruption if we got a guaranteed stability on DS entering.

+1

Class specific armor would be great anyways, but as a legendary armor that would be beyond awesome. And great for show off. ;D

I don’t want a trait which solves a core problem of the necro.

With our improved LF generation its has a potentially 100% uptime. On paper. In a magic world. If you know what i mean.
And btw its true no one complains about Deathly Perception, but on the other hand there is Foot in the Grave …

More and more I feel like Shade would make a lot of sense

And again i feel Near to Death is what holds the developers back with this old trait … But seriously, we need something against CC which isnt stability.

Actually Necromancers do have access to Vigor. It’s called Well of Power…

And its absolutely fair compared to other classes 5 point minor trait with 100% uptime …

Play the game and maybe you will understand. At least this way you can provide something to the group with wells (also change the staff trait to 3s protection), like boon / condi flip, blinds, some weakness etc.
With a selfish build you provide nothing beside dps, which is not so good in a condi build anyway. Power is a bit better, but still selfish, so there is no reason to not to change you to another warrior. :]

edit: I forget about Sigil of Earth, thats why you need some crit and for the Curse 5 minor trait which proc some extra bleed too. Sorry about that.

Yeah, the editor isnt perfect. But you can find all the info at the link. Only exception is Lingering curse, because it increases the base duration of the bleeds.

Dhuumfire isnt that good and all your choices in that line is bad for a condi necro. Close to death is also useless for condies.
Withering precision is godawfull since Anet nerfed it. Even with 100% condi duration it will be 10s long with a 20s CD, but Deviant on bosses will reduce it by 50% anyway.

Try something like this. Your bleed will be at duration cap and you can support allies. Utility skills can be changed for different situations. For example take Poison cloud instead of Epidemic on boss fight. Get ress signets in pug groups when you know they will go down on harder bosses. Get Well of darkness and Plague on Ascalon fractal etc

ps: Dont kitten yourself and your team mates and spec for a power based build. :]
ps2: You can drop 10 point from other lines, to get Lingering curse for extra bleeds on scepter, its up to you.

"Best" Necromancer PvE DPS Build?

in Necromancer

Posted by: Dalanor.5387

Dalanor.5387

Take in to account, that conditions in general, especially in PvE are really weak so try to stick with some power based build.

Races are absolutely irrevelant, the only difference between them are size, appearence and racial skills, which are just weaker counterparts of some similar class specific skills.
And charr necro wins. Seriously. A big, furry, shady beast.

In WvW players often has Melandru runes and using Lemongrass food which ends up with 55% condi duration reduction, so a base 3s on Weakening shroud wouldnt be useless in that situation. In pvp it can be 4s with 30 points in Spite, but it still dont feel too much. And ofc in pve, the more weakness is the better so i think its okay there.

About Siphoned power … What if you replace it with Target the Weak (it has more benefits for a power based build anyway) and make a chill based support trait in Curse 25? Like chill is reducing attack rate by X% like a reversed Quickess, maybe some extra chill duration too. Opinions?
