Not to put salt on his wounds but, on my 5th crate from last night I got a weapons ticket. They were drops from my time spent in Southsun. Yet, I utterly…. utterly… despise the appearance of those items. I wish I could give it away to those spending so much for one.

I like the Apothecary stats of the Sclerite Karka Shell. Considering to upgrade it to Ascended. The question is, can it be infused afterward? If not, I’d really like a Dev to explain the hate???? I’d like an Infused Apothercary Backpiece, please?

Appearance doesn’t matter as I’m certainly not going to have it visible.

MF, since it’s a multiplier. should be able to go beyond 100%. I’ve never heard of a ceiling placed upon on it. Why would the dev’s make a 200% buff if it was worthless beyond 100%? If you are going to do it, do it big! :-)

Honestly, to me, an enemy is going to be an enemy. No matter what Tier you are in, you are all pretty darn skilled. Bringing me to what makes me want to log most often, dying so darn often!

I completely expect to die. How often is also because I’ll play as the decoy, take on a Zerg, and stay behind the tail to protect the rest. Even when I’m not doing crazy kitten like that, I’m still getting boiled down in under 5 seconds most of the time. That just isn’t fun. Not to mention costly.

I think we lose more people to this skewed damage to defense ratio than boredom. Everything is designed around this paper mentality to promote high turnover. Making WvW seem quite pointless and futile.

For an example, just watch GvG fights. Time how long each battles last. It’s just too darn short if you ask me. Maybe WvW would be more interesting if we had more staying power. I don’t believe any profession should be able to burst for more than 1.5k -2k. Making skill and execution much more important than a build.

All this leads to a feeling of disinterest and futility. That you are just spinning your wheels and not getting anything or going anywhere. That your skill doesn’t matter in the end. Seriously, aren’t these the prevalent complaints? I think if we did away with armor repair alone, it would make a big difference in WvW. People would be far more bold and experimental too.

Though different scenery would be greatly appreciated!!! Some different creatures and more ore nodes. Why Ori and some other T6 mats aren’t on every Bl, I have no idea. Maybe there should be a new ore that’s only available in WvW?

Finally, some good sense on the threads! Let’s have some summer clothes, beachwear, and summer (cooler) armors too. No one would were heavy plate in the summer sun, they’d be boiled alive!

I think I can say A LOT of us a really wanting more and more and more when it comes to Armor and hair. Especially, cleaner, crisper, and more “light” stylized armors. As in not having the flames, skulls, and grunge look most everything has in the game.

Also, maybe the return of the Lion Guard skins Lyns was selling. Why she had to leave all together, I don’t know.

Either way, it’s almost Memorial Day here in the States. Where’s the lighter, brighter, and sunny summer armors? PLEASE????

I’ve noticed a steady decline in WvW too. I think people get sick of dying and losing what they’ve built over and over and over. There’s never an over arcing resolution with a reward. It’s pretty pointless really.

My other problem is, I’m simply not on the same page as the dev’s. From every choice they’ve made in this game, I can say my personality type, taste, and desires for fun are different than theirs. I’m way more a fan of the style of Final Fantasy than this darkish bleh….

For game play itself, I’d much rather have SLOWER battles and more siege. You want dynamic, add variables! Also, more defense to damage ratio. And, every time someone mention’s skill I get irked. Because we all know there are behavior modifiers in the game. If you follow them, you’ll get rewarded by having an advantage. If you do not follow them, you’ll be at a disadvantage. The attempt at removing the Trinity was flawed. As all it did was force and shoe horn all personality types to follow one. A bit of a shallow narcissistic one at that.

For example, my personality type wants to create a builder and a healer as a support/tank character. Yet, we all know tank’s really don’t exist in the game. I like slower game play with range. Yet, we all know range isn’t as powerful as melee. Thus, I’m restricted in how I can play. Everyone is in the end…..

That is a problem that I think a lot of people have with the game. The lack of freedom to be whom you want to be. Even if it’s not in your face, it’s there brewing in the background. Couple that with little emotional or monetary rewards and WvW was bound to diminish. Heck, even the WxP wasn’t implemented properly in my mind.

The only way to keep WvW lively is going to come from us, the players. We’re going to need to come up with event’s and activities beyond the PPT and ganking. Because there is more to life, more to humanity, than killing

I’ve heard tales of mesmers porting the enemy in the JP but it’d be great to see that expanded from time to time. Of course now there’s no excuse to not have all the POI unless you’re new, lol. Less fights, more hugs!

There’s a large difference between playing a game for fun and playing it to grieve. It’s the latter that’s the issue with the population decrease in WvW. No one would be recruiting if players weren’t leaving.

For every good person on SoR that understands this is a game, please explain that to those on EB right now that attempted to 2v1 JQ by spawn camping us. Seriously, not a gracious way to usher in your first win.

Just to make everyone aware, just like when Noodles forced EMP to split up, so has OMEN. Some players have chosen to stay with us after all on JQ. Good on ya’ to those that stayed. Maybe we can roll you into other guilds now instead.

Preacher made a valid point, for the happiness argument. The question is, is happiness what they are seeking? What if one plays to seek praise, attention, and a special status within the community they reside? Is it disruptive, does it goes against the basic value of the world working as a team?

For questioning what is more noble. Historically, has leaving when things become challenging been portrayed as a good or not good character trait?

The only thing I know for certain is, can we steal Jayne??? How about time sharing? We need more fun in T1!

I’ve had the jumping loo kitten ue too many times to count. The best one to date was running up the ramp to the 3rd floor in SM after a fight. All of a sudden I just dropped dead 3/4 of the way up the ramp. A few players tried rezzing and the next thing I know I’m instantly dead on the ground by the inner gate.

I’m much more concerned with this " a one-time reset". Devon, have you not been listening to us? Many of us want WxP to become account bound and retraitable. This is so alt unfriendly I can’t even begin to tell you. Why is my time less valuable than another’s because I like variety?

Valuing pixels over the actual player seems ridiculous to me. Because it certain makes me feel, as the player, irrelevant.

Why do these things happen when I’m about to go to bed and at my crankiest?

I’m not sorry to see some of this bunch go really. Several hours ago they did a Guild Challenge in Southsun. I was just running by and offered some help before they started it. They were sarcastic and uppity about it. I was even thinking, they are not JQ quality.

For leaving, what bothers me is one of their commanders came into TS last Saturday night trying to recruit. Talking to Jed and Stei about how we’ll all be working together and consolidating the smaller guilds, yada…yada…yada. Meanwhile, it appears they already planned on leaving as soon as they were done farming the gold for it. What a truly kitten thing to do, right?

I just wrote the same thing about Ranger pets in another thread Thieves should have an “OH KITTEN!” moment in the game. Most builds have been experiencing it with them since launch. I really think Rangers should be the profession to do it. Unfortunately, the pet’s AI is far too slow and dumb to be able to hit most thieves.

Nuvo, you once asked folks to not bring drama into the DB recruitment threads. How about you do as you ask others to do?

For “making” people play in WvW, that’s SO not the JQ way. If the majority of the JQ community enjoy playing in PvE, then that’s great. If some wish to join us in WvW, that’s great too! It’s all about having fun!!!!!

We’re only recruiting now to keep up with BG and SoR. They want good fight’s from us and we’re working to give them their wishes. No matter what, JQ is a T1 World for a reason.

I believe you are all missing how traps came to be. For me, I believe the supply one was created first as a supply sink. With the constant trolling complaints from a few Guilds over “Siege Wars”, something had to be created to cater to these Guilds. Thus, something to consume supply was created.

Next up, how would it be implemented. Of course whom better to task for this than the dev’s Golden Child Thus, the supply one was created expressly for thieves to use. Good luck doing this with any other class.

Afterwards, they came up with the counter to it. Only to consumer EVEN MORE supply and badges.

WvW is pretty much zero sum as it is. That is if you play hard and actually invest in upgrades as a good WvW’er should. The AC boost is trivial compared to making the JP’s once per day per account. Then introducing supply and badge sinks to boot!.

As having an 80 Ranger, a pet should have “Guard” replaced (since it’s worthless) with Hunt. This would be an ideal utility to combat Thieves. Animals use different senses than just eyesight to track. Stealth shouldn’t be as Omnipotent as it is. As an example, in the water shark’s and other aquatic creatures don’t use eyesight to track. Thus a thief shouldn’t be able to shake targeting from them using stealth.

And certainly, the most lively Lions Arch in the game as well!

Every character I have is a Norn, you know how often I use transforms, almost never. To even suggest something that has a 4 minute cooldown is even in the realm of a thief is pure trolling.

So basically you are saying that thieves negate the usefulness of every other race in WvW but, Norn’s? And, that even as a Norn, we all have to give up our Elite’s because of thieves? I think you just proven that Thieves are OP.

I’m actually enjoying seeing Thieves whine. How many rage threads against thieves has there been since launch? Answer, too many to count! Yet, thieves still complain, complain, and complain it’s not enough for them.

Honestly, these traps are way too expensive. I may buy one or two if a thief starts harassing an area. Otherwise, I have no desire to waste resources on them. If the large Guilds start spamming the supply one like in the video, people are just going to quit playing. I’d bet the total number of user hours in WvW has been declining the past month already.

Either way, build or buy, wait til Haswell. Besides the increased performance, it’s worth it on many other levels. It should also make the price of existing items drop on sale too!

Anyone notice the shark Ai to be buggy? I’ve noticed in WvW it will not attack the Quaggan nodes. Other pets will but the shark just idles away. Maybe this is a bug?

Being almost 3am, I’m really getting tired and honestly cranky. So I just logged in mild disgust of how annoying WvW is becoming. Am I the only one getting annoyed by the 30 min siege despawn and no swords for 30 seconds? We’re lucky to 25-30 total in WvW right now. When there’s only a handful on the entire map, these things become such a downer and a freak’n chore.

Oh and btw, when did we get stuck with Cover Girl in the thread again??? That’s so 2012….

Editing this to add, that after watching the whole video, I realized that, “Wow I look good” Another is that he didn’t show that two of us ganked his butt later! Determined I was And yeah, he’s SO annoying!

Btw… for the love of anything and everything, let’s not ruin our health over a game! Every hour or so, go afk and walk around the room for a couple of minutes. Also, look out a window and adjust your eye’s focus on something distant. Which should be every 15 minutes actually. You’ll feel better physically and the game will be more fun. Because you’ll feel better!!!

I’m looking at that last page and can’t help but wonder which piece of wood work all these JQ grievers are coming from. This is even taking place on our map chats. Everyone block/ignore list is getting quite large lately.

There’s a lot of love in JQ. I say, whenever we PvE, we all should start guesting across the other T1’s. Let’s not let those few grievers sour our game!!!!

for everyone that say’s they can down good thieves 1 v 1 with ease, please do show us the video? Otherwise, it’s thieves trying to steal the message of the thread.

I’ve seen people express that they love grieving players until they rage quit. Often enough that it’s becoming quite a disturbing trend. Is this the type of people that play MMO’s? Being my first one, I’m really wondering if MMO’s are filled with kittenbags or not?

Especially, as an American, helping others should come as second nature. It’s how we’re raised in my part of the states.

So the question is, is causing misery part of the MMO motif?

WvW in GW2 is CPU intensive. Much more so than other games. To run WvW in higher setting requires an intel I7. I had to build a brand new system to really run this on high.

If you’ve been playing this long already, wait on buying anything for now. The new intel Haswell line will be out next month.

If anyone say’s the fighting is good now, what they actually mean is, “I love my easy button.” Ever since the last update, the fun has been fading every day.

And, as Momma always say’s, “No good deed goes unpunished.” When I get rolled over, is it by BG, nope. It’s by the SoR I logged in to help.

For my fellow JQ’er above, siege placement is pretty standard and splash is fairly wide. Durios is an easy target to treb. It’s kinda a reflex for me to hit it’s sweet spots too.

Though I do not doubt BG has spies on JQ an SoR at all. Not that it’s server wide. I think it’s simply in the name “BlackGate”. It’s just a magnet for the few nefarious minded types. If a server was named White Willow or Carebear Land, would the nefarious and egotistical types gravitate to those names on a list, I don’t think so. :-)
