i have to agree the not ageing part would be hard to explain :s (i guess it depends on where your friend end up in the mist)

Also there are sleeping sylvari npc in the open world (mostly wyld hunt valiants)
be kinda dangerous to do that in a risen infested area if they didnt need it!

IMO seem like it would make more sense just to enchant arrows /something rangers already have on hand and know how to make!
(sense there is no “magic damage” i dont see the advantage over just buffing short bow)

I would have felt robbed had ranger got DH as a spec xD
kinda hope we never get redundant specs. tempest already feel this way to me
(although i can see why it happen sense Ele already did everything :s)

Also some Asura and Dwarves was already in contact with each other in EoTn
so they may already had a ideal of some of the surface language

I think some people who have to use low settings never see the animations
the sound cue and the circles isnt very useful (when mixed in with all the other aoe circles)
(i always see the animation on my better laptop vs the poopy old one )

pft flame leagion charr has no problem burning xD (or smoking)

same can be said of a human with Volcanus. :s

i have notice a druid (Staff 4 or longbow 4)+a wolf (KD leap + fear and traited taunt) can really eat away at break bars

i think any1 could be a paladin (a knight) kinda like how any caster can be called a wizard
in lore (although most of thos examples was in GW1)

they always appear i think. but on my older laptop the whirlpools load really slow the 1st time they appear (have got pulled in without seeing the whirlpool aoe) kinda stinks if its a good map because you only have one chance (that you likely wont see)

i kinda saw thos Zhaitans depictions ment for the person playing eyes.
it be kinda odd if the PC could see zhaitans on the other side of orr xD
unless it was ment to be the PC imagination (not really conveyed as such)

(farther off topic: there are far worse countries then North Korea but they get ignored
simply because their our (US) allies but the real world tend to not make sense :x)

if thats the Devs stance thats sounds very counter to how GW2 was said to be
(a more visual world instead of GW1 text quest/story)

I have to say if the art shows up as a random painting on the wall in a room its easy to dismiss it as just concept art.

But when it shows in game as a narration for a Story mode dungeon/PS mission
its abit harder to dismiss IMO at that point you could dismiss anything ingame

Thats kinda the the sad thing about hot (the spec system) it could be good for the future.
but its kinda not so appealing atm. my friend ask me what will her guardian get if she didnt want to be a dragon hunter i could only tell her(you gets nothing!) :x and she didnt buy Hot because of that. im sure other people prolly did the same thing.

Subject Alpha can get abit repetitive (even when fought normally)
(i will amit CoE one of the funner dungeons tho)

i think in lore Revenants may favor legends closer to their race (unlike we the PC who are bound by mechanics xD)
Charr kinda seem like the “its ok if it works to our advantage type” too me
i dont see a rev being treated no different then a necro IMO

(i would not be suprised if a flame leagion spy try to use Rytlock’s new powers as a way to turn the leagons on each other)

Very interesting that Guild Wars 2 was not mentioned. And never is. Maybe because no one really cares about it. Ask anyone in the Korean market, which make up the lion share of MMO gamers, about GW2 and you will get a blank look of “Guild Wars Who?” LMAO.

I feel people are far too fixated on the perceived symmetry of this.

As it is lore characters have very loose professions and the rules that govern us the player does not apply to them. The idea that there must be one single character representing every profession in the story and no more than one is kinda bizarre . It would put a real limit on the narrative for no discernible reason or benefit. Logan and Braham have guardian animations and abilities but from a lore stand point Braham is a norn who follows the teachings of wolf whilst logan is the commander of the seraphs i imagine both would have different styles of fighting and thinking .

For me it would just be bad story telling if they where gonna kill off a character just because we can’t have two guardians or whatever.

however profession do exist in GW2 lore (they are not limited to PC mechanics tho) but if some1 from the 5 major races shoots purple magic energy there is a high chance they are a mesmer. (or they extremely good with chaos magic XD)

also its not limited to the 8 professions we can play there are clearly more professions
in lore (monks!)

TBH i think the kill off because we cant have 2 may have been true at one point for races.(but not professions) Marjory was supposed to die :s (if the data mined stuff is true)

LB rangers dont even need to stand on the edge of the tower they can hit the golem from the back of the tower xD (in fact LB rangers dont even need the tower!)

really all the professions that use the tower dont even need it

Well if attunements exist in lore (im sure auras do) a Ele can be Red(fire) and Blue(water)

(really i just think its the glowy parts of that t3 asura light armor)

The sylvari racial elite kinda supports the druid husks scene (also the Brisban Wildlands event shows a husk and a spirit!)

the jade sea scene (if it is the jade sea hard to tell in still images :s) is the only oddity IMO

I feel the same way about concept art. but that (the video)kinda shows up ingame :s

the reason i think Snaff may be a mesmer is because of his mind related studies/research
kinda like how Oola is a necro but makes golems (its not uncommon for spell caster asura to use alot of tools/invention)

we all should know by now NPC never follow mechanics when it come to weapons/tools xD

i have to add both Varesh and Livia (i know i know Varesh is dead xD) had pretty deep voices (altought i dont think E is Livia)

if the orders dont go there own way. i think Rytlock makes the most sense as pact leader
(I only see the vigil sticking to the attacking dragons head on plain. The other 2 orders may look into a plain B after the way HoT ended)

Honestly i was kinda hoping the egg+hot would pull us away from the “kill all the dragons” story direction. S2 LS was actually hinting at it being bad in the long run.
i was surprised hot didnt touch on it much.
i hope S3 will resume that story path.

i see no issue with that the PC was only involved to get the leader summit going.
the waypoint thing being fixed off screen makes sense (if you pay attention to the chatter in the mission it was actually resolved right then!)
there are still waypoints around the world still shattered even now

(about Taimi) making the waypoints network magic taste nasty to mordy was the whole point of that mission it was the only way Phlunt would agree to come to the leaders summit.
he only took away her claim to the invention. dosnt mean they didnt just use it themselfs

The Waypoint thing got resolved inside S2 (in a mission with Taimi)
it explained why mordy would eventuly stop noming the waypoints

if you base it on our current climate thos dinosaurs prolly cant exist
however earth was alot different way back

there was some cool hair styles in GW1 but i hated they was proffession locked :x

My character (the smallest height Monk) is halve the height of Jora (who is halve the height of a jotan xD) so as said above the heights for GW1/GW2 norn are about the same

(Jora was as tall as norn male npcs in GW1!)

I have to agree be nice to see more New areas instead of revisiting areas we have seen already!

That actually kinda works sense humans was the only playable race in GW1 so all tyria humans was related xD "while the oldest Sylvari is only like 26/28!

i would like to see more Ritualist aesthetics return in weapons/armors
the game play side of Ritualist be kinda redundant with what we have already :s

IMO i think Tybalt is liked alot becuse of the 3 he is less like the typical charr
(its almost like Sieran read the sylvari week blog herself xD)

I think anything can be made to levitate in tyria with enuff magic skill.(or even naturally as seen in GW1/GW2 tarnished coast!)

Yeah i think its alot like the Pale Tree. and Glint just create the eggs " possibly based on what ever she was if she was ever a living creature"
(i have to wonder why the forgotten risked so much to free glint and do we even know how long she had thos eggs?)

you can actually load into DR maps that have more of light or Dark npc skin tones
(have seen whole groups of dark skinned npcs at times)
its pretty funny that Serra Birdsong can sometimes be dark skinned or light skinned xD

(the clam would make more sense if it was a real world based story)

On topic i never really took gemstore outfits as lore. although as OP/HAX Player character
we can get away with more. sense i feel my character dosnt represent the norm for the race. ((Dwayna worshiping healing Necro!))

To me Zhaitan Champions came off as individuals who are simply “forced” to fallow orders. it would have been neat if the mouths of zhaitan actually spoke for it!
(make it more creepy with mutable of them talking at once) missed opportunity!

i hope Primordus isnt chatty that would ruin the Destroyers to me “They did really seem like a force of nature that just exist to destroy in Eotn”

O.o heroes wasnt a new or unique feature to eotn :s (nightfall added them!)

the dungeons in eotn was actually pretty dull since they basically all reused like 3 big maps
making it really hard to tell where they fit in lore.
(also making exploring them uninteresting to me)

Those area UW/FOW and Ugroz/Deep had very limited ways to access them early in GW1 (may as well not exist for many)
(i know many ppl that never been to all of them!) (luckily this was fixed later in GW1 life)

I have been enjoying Hot so far its fun to just jump into stuff and just play.
instead of loging in with nothing to do but vanquishing some new zone+grinding rep for what ever the meta is.(and i hated joning ppl in stuff and having to leave half way into it. making them having to start over or going on with one less persion)(All of GW1 was like that) like i loved GW1 but it did have its flaws and wasnt perfect

Maby that portal north of Brisban Wildlands will get a use!

Hard to say if it was white washing we never saw what pre mantle/charr invasion kryta was like (Also the fact tyria isnt earth so we dont know how genetics work there.)
