I was wondering if Teq should have a series of pre events to complete before he comes up instead of being random since now he is a raid boss. Would make it a lot easier for a guild or group of guilds to organize kills rather than waiting around twiddling their thumbs hoping he’ll show up soon.
I love this fight I really do but I am afraid this fight will be a ghost town in a few weeks…
Maybe if we could get a guarantee 2 rares (chance for exotic) for each quarter of his life people will actually stick around & keep fighting him. It’ll be rewarding for those who actually put in the effort to down this boss.

Teq is a 15 minute fight for the first phase… if you have time to wipe on him for 15 minutes you have time to clear CoF which is usually less time… quit trolling. -_-

Anyway, I wouldn’t worry about it. If it’s that bad, just do it once and let it go the way of Southsun.
I don’t know what you’re talking about. Players are constantly harvesting in Southsun, and we’ve been killing the Karka Queen at least twice per day for the past week in Sorrow’s Furnace.
Same for Yak’s Bend & we get overflows for it too.
I prefer smaller more tuned content like this that will actually stay not to mention its a start to fixing the glaring problem that is world bosses. Better than larger scale rushed content imo.
I hope the other dragons are next on the list.

I honestly never actually noticed seeing how fast they die atm the only thing that matters is getting enough hits in. XD
- Lights spawning too close to walls
Just wanted to ask, are you sure this was a bug? The lights are always static; they spawn in the same place, in the same order EVERY time. There is a large variance on where the lights spawn in relation-ship to the arena you are in…. The south arenas second light will spawn nearly inside the wall, while the north arena’s will be a ways out. Literally the only random element in the fight is the rift, and possibly Liadri’s attacks in phase 2.
I noticed it was different depending on the arena & Im quite aware that is a static element to the fight. I have her whole fight memorized which is why it surprised me when I saw that light so close to the wall. On other arenas you can safely get behind it & lure a void into without dying.

Hi I wanted to know if Liadri will be coming back? Sadly I am out of tickets & I don’t think I’ll get her in time. I was wondering if she’ll make a return & if so if she’ll be fixed?
- Liadri acting like an orb (constant pulling to her)
- Can’t Throw crystals
- Multiple players in same fight (if one of you dies you both die)
- Lights spawning too close to walls
I didn’t hit these bugs on every fight & I did get really close to downing her but I hit these bugs enough to make a frustrating fight well… its disheartening to die to a bug like this. Anywho I was just wondering if anyone knew of her return/bug fixes.

We already have shortbow for AoE support, no point having 2 weapons to do the same thing. Focus on improving P/P for single target ranged damage.
Shortbow’s utility is spreading weakness, mobility, and blast finishers.
Pistols would be AoE Vulnerability & Blinds.

I can’t help but notice that P/P is obviously a popular weapon choice among Thieves even within my own guild. I am quite aware most Thieves who visit the forums here already know that P/P isn’t exactly an upstanding weapon set but I decided to try something out. Making a meta P/P build.
It didn’t quite work so i’ll get that out of the way right off the bat but I did realize something. My build was 0/30/0/15/25 which utilizes the Ricochet trait. I actually believe this build using nothing but the signets can actually be quite devastating even possibly on par with many other builds if one change was made.
Pistol shots have a 100% chance to bounce to an additional target on a critical hit.
I think with this one change P/P would be something viable as it unleashes AoE Vulnerability or Blinds while dealing decent damage. Of course this would make it another utility range option like the Shortbow with different utilities but I think it would put P/P in a much better state than it is right now.
What do you guys think?
To be honest if you changed ricochet to bounce on crit, it would be a huge blow to pistol dagger condition builds that generally run carrion/settlers/apothecary and will often have 4% crit chance. The 50% bounce rate is fine and gives our niche condition build the ability to take on more than one target at a time effectively. Pistol/Pistol is honestly one of those stylistic builds like D/D or Sword/Sword on multiple classes, that isn’t very functional because the main hand skills dont synergize well with the offhand skills, even though in our case the dual skill is very nice but expensive burst, like a pistol whip sans cleave. But you know all of this, I think a P/P rework would be great too, but changing ricochet would do far more harm than good.
Originally I thought just a flat 100% without the crit required but felt that would make it too strong.
I was thinking Body Shot is one of P/P’s better skills. Combined with with Ricochet and its a really nice ability with a lot of group synergy. I personally found it really poor for 1v1 and I kind of believe it would greatly benefit from being an AoE support weapon set. It would make it a viable choice in both WvW & PvE & presumably in SPVP.
Even Unload would benefit greatly as it very rapidly applies these AoE conditions.

Ah hello all! While this event is a bit shallow it is enjoyable and I love doing it however there are some terrible flaws with it.
1. The Overflows are becoming packed themselves which is to be expected but I think there needs to be a filter system in place. It is kind of bad when friends, guildmates, & even “Groups” cannot get into the same Overflows.
2. Not all Overflows are created equal. Some of them simply doesn’t have the event even though it is still new to the area. Coupled with the above Overflow problem this can be frustrating.
3. Champions should not linger after the special event circle ends. They should be the final “bosses” to make the circles disappear so that people will still kill them like they do now but not hinder the event & waste time.
I know this is still new to ArenaNet but I do hope they see these issues as something serious to future events of similar nature and have these addressed. All in all though if you can get to the event it is a lot of fun! Ty ANet!
ArenaNet I am really loving the new bosses in the Arenas as they are usually not your typical face tank or sideline bosses.
Is there any chance of updating the world bosses with these mechanics? For example when one of Shatterer’s Crystal breaks have it spawn a bunch a crystal vets like the Aetherblade ones since they seem to be more on par with regular champions but wont drop the special bags. Maybe add one Champ for each crystal.
Spread some of those Liandri mechanics to some of the bosses as well. It would be awesome to have Shadow Behemoth nuke an area around it and have it move clockwise so the zerg must move around in a circle just to add some spice to the fight.
These bosses would also make great Guild Bosses if they had several stages with the mechanics shown here! I look forward to seeing more & I hope the World Bosses are revamped to have some challenge as well! Cheers!

For the sake of this discussion I am lumping WvW with PvP since a large majority of it deals with PvP.
What is everyone’s opinion of the downed state in this game? I love it in PvE content & I think it’s purpose is well preserved but not so much for any of the PvP content.
My main two arguments is I feel it is very annoying chasing around the downed players that you have already ""beaten"" just to finish them off.
Secondly unlike most PvP in MMOs I don’t get that satisfactory kill when I do take down a player. Staking someone with a flag in order to beat them is very unsatisfying as well as beating up a downed opponent.
I understand there are many who find it exciting that they can get their “second” chance especially in massive army vs army battles but I think in the end I would prefer seeing it removed in PvP content.
These are my opinions. What are yours?
Hello all I’ve been gone & away from the game for the last six months & decided to return but I was wondering about what runes & sigils I should carry. If I remember right I think for superior damage it was Runes of Air & Sigils of Fire? I am not quite sure. I am mainly built for WvW and I am looking for something to help give me an edge in combat.

Hello all I just came back from a roughly 6 month hiatus and I was wondering since I noticed the Shortbow’s Cluster Bomb was nerfed to the point where I can barely shoot from top of the WvW gates without being on the edge (due to having to shoot far too close to the gate or end up hitting the wall itself) which is generally the one spot no one stands in due to it being a death trap…
So my question is what are the viable range options in WVW? Are most Thieves generally just sucking it up & still using the Shortbow (which is still effective on ground to ground combat) or has new options come to light? Pistols any good as a range option yet?

Theyre not meant to be farmable though… or getting them would be nerfed somehow. But I think it would be a nice added treat. Doesn’t have to drop Volcanus like weapons or anything just a little extra incentive to actually kill Champions. Don’t most people avoid them cause of their insane health pools & poor drops?
About them being too common what about Event Champions? Though I wouldn’t know how to stop players camping an area waiting for their Champ to appear but…
I had a thought that I personally would like to see and wanted the community’s opinion on this as well.
What if all the Champions dropped unique skins? Even further possibly have all the Champions in a single zone split pieces of an armor set & the left over Champs could drop weapon skins.

Turn on system messages to see your friends. You can do this in the same place you toggle other messages you wish to see. Unfortunetly it does not work for guilds yet.
There is a lot of minor things they need to fix but overall it is an amazing game… January & February promises an update to the game equal to that of an expansion but we will have to wait and see. By all means wait a few months if you so wish since it is a brand new game. Hopefully when you come back it’ll be much more polished.
I’m not too familiar with GW1’s way of doing things but I’m not terribly sure why this wouldn’t be possible in the game’s current state as it does this now. We all experienced this in LA or in many zones when this game first started. just remove the option to que to a home server. Of course there is probably a lot of background programming I am not taking in account but when it seems so visibly possible it’s hard to understand why it’s not.
I had a conversation with my guild last night about Overflows & Servers in this game and eventually it came to a point where I mentioned that servers shouldn’t really exist in the first place and after explaining my view they thought it was a good idea & suggested I put it up here on the forums…
I think most of us can agree having merged servers on the lesser populated areas of the game would be a tremendous help in making the world feel populated. However why have servers at all? Why not have every zone “Overflow” without the existence of a home world? Make it so that at three quarters maximum population it starts creating a new overflow. This way it’ll give wiggle room for groups to run together without worrying about being full while keeping a consistent population.
I’m sure many of you have already thought how badly this would effect WvWvW since it relies on the notion of having servers. In my opinion this is actually a much easier fix than it would seem. It’s all about wording really. Change the word server to teams & suddenly it makes sense again. Instead of being from Server Tarnished Coast you are a member of Team Tarnished Coast when you enter WvWvW. This way merging the servers becomes seamlessly easy. As for the server wide bonuses make them apply to the individual members of the team.
What do you guys think? Is there pitfalls I missed? If so does the cons outweigh the pros of this system? I would be very interested in hearing everyone’s opinion on this.

What is the deal with this trait? I am wondering if it is bugged or not. Too often I would stealth in melee range and not see it trigger or when it does work it would be on for a split second. I wanted to build a new & interesting build that was still useful in Fractals (im a huge dagger/dagger lover) so what gives?

Now to be clear the 1 Vial of Mists Essence is the same as 1 Vial of Condensed Mists Essence? Cause I got one on my very first run through.
And also any idea what else can be made with that vial so far?
It’s a world drop like others said. Not sold by any NPC or crafted.
Even if you complete a map the loot is pulled from a world drop list so you “still” may not get any Duelist pieces. I myself gained two of them this way.
Aside from randomly getting them from high level map completions they can drop from high level mobs but any exotic drop can be quite rare. I have yet to obtain a single exotic drop myself. Also there is the Mystic Forge however you would need to know what level gear to throw in (which must be rares for a chance at an exotic or exotics themselves) so that you don’t overshoot the level range the Duelist set falls in.
Best advice? Do the maps and whatever exotics you get that isn’t Duelist sell them on the TP & use that silver & gold to buy the pieces you want.
Hey signed back on right after the maintenance and by coincidence I happen to be on a high ledge and so I started shooting off my Cluster Bombs when i noticed something peculiar. They don’t always explode on demand and if I have no initiative i’ll get the message not enough initiative when trying to detonate.
Interestingly though I managed to chain three Cluster Bombs before using it the fourth time Detonated all three. So… bugged or are they working on changing our Cluster Bombs now?

Here is a screenshot. There was a chain of 3 but I was too slow and the first exploded but you can clearly see two undetonated Cluster Bombs in this screenshot.

As far as I am aware all the karma weapons are Rares not exotics. You can get a full set of Exotic armor with karma down in Orr.

Just transmute? Seriously guys Exotics in this game are already way too easy to obtain do to the crafting materials not being rare enough. You know what? Forget about Rares… Masterworks… and all the other rarities cause they don’t mean kitten. Make everything Exotic so we can hear the same people complain that everyone is getting Exotics… (which they are btw ssssh… Mum’s the word…)
There isn’t recipies for the weapons exactly as you through the materials in the Mystic Forge. As for the exact materials I know it has been mentioned several times on this forums previously but I do not recall offhand.
But the OP is looking for the recipe that creates the Gifts themselves.
