Rangers beg to differ. I am now trying to lvl up my ele toon and i find that my lvl 20 uplevel ele dealt more dmg than my fully geared lvl 80 ranger (in wvw). Anyway, playing ele has been a blast so far. So much fun

As for condemning people whom /laugh when they kill one random person who gets stormed by a zerg, all our ish stinks. No server is pure of that happenstance, and if someone gets joy from doing such an act, whom are you to tell them how to enjoy the play-style of their game? For all we could know, they’re RPing.

I hope that when this league stuff comes out.. if there is a blowout match of 1 T1 server vs 2 T2, if a comfortable lead has been established then the rest of the weeks should be just karma trains and organized guild fights. Was having trouble against bunker guardian with this build as well. It shines against light/medium armor class though.

Pretty sure that the pet didn’t have to attack to slow down the players. I also tried to call back the pet but there was some delay before I gained back my normal speed

Not sure why this hasn’t been brought up yet, but it really bothers me that whenever my pet got attacked, my movement speed is reduced significantly since it triggered the combat mode. I understand if it’s the player that got attacked, but due to the limitation of controlling the pets, they shouldn’ t slow the player down when they got hit.

See, traps are special. They’re unblockable. Spike immobilizes when traited with trap potency, bet you didn’t know that. That’s not special? The fact that it’s invisible to them and either immob/cripples or inverse quickness? (i call the chill condition in gw2 "inverse quickness or inverse time warp).

Not to mention viper’s nest, which pulses an unblockable poison. Remember: poison negates healing by a factor of 1/3.

Amazing how every wvw video with ranger I’ve seen in a year, I have never, ever once seen a zerg video with a trap ranger. That’s how I play in T1 with strikeforce, the guild that wiped TW and WARD last night with equal or lesser numbers. I’m basically giving you all of my “secrets” because I’m sick of the whining.

(Sorry WARD and TW—I only saw that one fight before I had to log out. We won that fight and I’m proud of it. I’m not saying SF is better—we win some and lose some. But last night we were better. That could change today, of course.)

Pure and simple: this is a NA server group, anything that happens outside of NA prime time doesn’t matter. If you are in this tier because of your Oceanic or SEA presence exclusively, you don’t really deserve to be here.

I only mention this because during NA prime time I see BG running from a lot of fights against equal or inferior odds, and owe a great deal of their PPT to clear and obvious support from a 2nd server.

I wouldn’t want traps to gain more utility at the cost of damage though. Fire trap and spike trap are fine. Frost trap needs its radius and duration increased. Snake trap needs to be a poison field and if it applied weakness too that would be awesome.

Yeah the celestial is great, trap ranger is one of the few builds in game that can put every single stat in the game to good use. That may be why Stardust is a shortbow and not a longbow…

Or decrease the cool down of the frost trap, I would love to use frost trap more often but given the current state its just not worth it

I don’t recall ever lost to trap master with my BM build in wvw. I tried the build myself and it’s great in taking camp, but whenever I encounter thief or mesmer, it’s gg to me. Maybe I am not used to it or they are better in PvP due to the size of the map.

JQ has always relied on their (very good) asian guilds – something we had to deal with when we were back in T1. DB is very similar. Frustrating for us oceanic people to play against as they sweep in as we are logging of and undo all our hard work.

Off topic but something I’ve never understood. Why is there such a big distinction between Sea and Ocn. Isn’t there only like a 1 hour difference? 2 from some?

Why are Ocn logging off as Sea comes on? What do Ocn tend to play early and Sea late?

It’s 4 hours difference more or less. And to stay on topic, I would love to have TC back, SOR/JQ/TC would be ideal

Is this build good for 1v1 scenario? I gathered that this is more for group fight, since it lacks good damage from the pets? I used to run BM for roaming but after the latest updates I was having tough times against mesmer and necro :/ thanks for sharing!
