Thieves pretty much rely on it because it’s our only decent access to stability and defense boons. It’s also gives us a very badly needed good cond removal ability, which we greatly lack in builds that don’t rely on stealth. I’d love it if they nerfed Lyssa and just gave us those abilities somewhere instead. :P We shouldn’t be locked down into needing ONE specific rune set because our class isn’t versatile enough to make certain builds viable at all or even close due to certain things like that missing.

To the OP.

This is not true, in my experience from other companies games, we must play different ones.

The very best devs leave the powerful skills/abilities alone and look at skills/abilities that no player is using. Then they buff/change those underused skills/abilities by tiny amounts until they are competitive but not more powerful then the top tier skills/abilities.

Thus you avoid power creep but create a lot more diversity, also you don’t upset players by nerfing there favourite skills but encourage them to try other skills over a period of time.

Pretty sure they’d end up nerfing those underused skills if you did that. They’ve done it before.

I want to buy these for my dragon revelry star cakes…, they are so expensive for me to craft

it costs 7 gold 20 silver for 12 hours of your star cakes. the primer is 150 gems which currently is around 14 gold to convert to 150 gems. not worth it

Well, I buy with real money, I wouldn’t convert gold.

Even if it isn’t worth it, I still like the convenience.

What convenience? That you don’t have to click every 30 mins? With the primer every minute you don’t play is wasted food duration.

Doesn’t the timer freeze when that character is offline? Works that way for boosters, never payed attention with food.

I thought it was odd my male Sylvari had a gigantic backside. But I doubt they will ever fix this. The Charr still have stretched textures and a lack of tail holes.

But the reason they’ll never fix Charr is because they’re the least played race, as indirectly stated by some Anet dude. Pretty sure a lot of people play Sylvari though. :O

You really think being the least played race makes ignoring issues acceptable?

This does not show nor prove anything. The clips you had of your thief fights were against easy lackluster thieves that didn’t know how to play up to a thief’s true capability.

The same goes for all those vids of thieves beating people in WvW. Even in Yishi’s vids many opponents are pretty bad, let’s face it.

Curse those skill clickers and keyboard turners and people who don’t max their camera speed. It’s all their fault.

I’d love a Dagger/Sword build with sword offhand having some sexy counter/parry type skills. I miss block tank GW1 Assassins. :<

And there’s no such thing as “doesn’t fit the class.” Not in this world. Thieves aren’t WoW Rogues they are Assassins who’ve lost their way and fallen to petty thievery because Cantha is gone.

They’ll reclaim their former glory one day.

why Guardian HP is so low?

I use a zerker+valk full meditation guardian build. He does a ton of damage and has pretty high survivability just from his natural armor and meditation heal spam, plus lotsa cond removal. His damage is all aoe too~ so many loot bags in wvw. Any more natural HP and they’d be as or more unstopable than Warrior. But keep in mind Warrior is completely 100% broken currently because of passive Healing over Time. Warrior is a whole nother game/dimension entirely and shouldn’t even exist as is. Compare any other class to Warrior and Guardian is the best off out of all of them in comparison.

I been running condition warrior since launch, and patches only seem to improve them. Although I still believe Warriors take a considerable amount of skill to play. I don’t mind changing Impale back.

It’s designed to be the easiest class to jump into and play extremely effectively right off the bat. ;/ and they did a very good job at that.

If it is male, I hope that he is funny and crazy for explosives, like Tonn. I really liked Tonn.

Violent and deranged Asura that are obsessed with blowing things up are my favorite.
They should also give him a signature weapon that’s a gun bigger than himself.
And yes, need more Male characters. :P

I just said female so I might get a really neat new armor set that is feminine maybe, but yeah, it’s probably male and it’s a good idea for him to be male.

Males get a lot of feminine armor too though with all the flowing frilly skirts we get. :O
So that shouldn’t be the determining factor. XD

Yeah I thought that was really weird that they did that patch after hearing them say that on live stream. It’s really easy to get enough adrenaline to use a Burst again to drop conditions, and the CD is pretty low. Flurry even builds it back to full before it even ends and isn’t really strongly dependent on having it full~ same with LB.
Can use Lyssa Runes with low CD Rage to dump a large amount in emergency and with Banner Heal Trait + Signet you can actually outheal tons of bleeds easily.

lol. Just lol. Can you swap your stats on your warrior rabbit armor when you realise those stats are dumb?. Also, noone talks about “destroying zerkers”. They want to adjust zerker gear, so you aren’t forced to run zerker everywhere and all the time.

If you made a full set of Ascended Armor, you’re forced to use it for life.
You can never change stats ever again unless you spend 200000g to make another set with different stats. Which will also be time-gated to take months, even decades.

Hahahaha, are you new to the warrior? Overall the damage output of the warrior got nerfed 4 patches in a row, we lost 2 condi removals and gained 3.

Only 2 big changes done to the warrior were berserker stance and buff to healing signet. Rest were nerfs or nerf + buff cancelling each other out.

In other words, we can take little more damage and deal a lot less.

Yeah the Hammer meta was toned down but it doesn’t really matter much. They still CC people to death and as annoying as it was it was less OP than dual sword. My build wasn’t touched even slightly. He’s still an indestructible god that deals unrealistically high damage in multiple ways and manages to move at the speed of light while wearing the heaviest armor. With Regen Signet alone all warriors can still be unstoppable forces that can’t even be 1 on 1’d while they’re AFK.

As i said before i dont do much pvp (lvl 15) and was wondering where my high death ratio came from.

Over 3 deaths an hour is not hard to achieve; in fact, it’s almost ensured in sPvP (not even talking about solo tries, SAB tribulation mode without guides, WvW solo roaming on superhero mode, Light Up the Darkness and a lot more).

What is this Light Up the Darkness mode you speak of? I want to die faster in wvw but Commander Sird and Caic are too good to let me.

Aside from Super Adventure Box World 2 Zone 2 Tribulation Mode; Light up the Darkness was one of the most frustrating and difficult things I ever experienced in a video game~ it was a Boss you had to 1 on 1 during a Living Story event for the Achievement. 300-500 of my deaths are probably from Liadri, lol.

As for Super Adventure Box. Probably 1000+ of my deaths were from World 2 Zone 2 and Zone 3 Tribulation, which I ran through more than once because 1. I’m insane and 2. I like pee weapons. :o

I like the Torment a lot more than Bleed. It helps my Warrior’s PvP build annihilate tons of people with his godmode high crit+high cond+high survival build that will never be nerfed.
Not sure you could call the skill itself OP as the class all together, being capable of being powerful at all things at all times, is just a bundle of OPness all together making each of it’s skills seem individually OP…

Anyways, switching it back to Bleed would be a nerf. Warriors never get nerfed, so this isn’t going to happen.

Both Ele’s themselves and other professions have raised concerns about the state of the Ele in the Meta. Certainly good Ele’s are out there, but overall the class is outpaced by other classes and the viable builds available are few in number. More and more often players groan whenever an Ele enters a dungeon or PvP match; the class is very quickly becoming dead weight or free kills for the other team. What are your plans for dealing with the challenges that the Ele faces, and how quickly can Ele players expect changes to their profession?

Don’t really have much advice on fixing Ele since to me the entire Ele mechanic needs remodeled, I’d support anyone who would though~ XD
I have a character of every class and I love all of them… except Ele. It’s the only class that I find boring and not worth the time/effort. >.< I loved them a lot in GW1, what happened? .-.

All I want is more love for stealthless Thief builds and support beyond being a rezbot. :P

I’m concerned about the Critical Damage change and overall focus on Berserker armor as I’ve burned through a very large amount of money and effort for Ascended Berserker. o.o

As for Runes/Sigils being reworked, I guess there’s a ton of sets no one ever uses~ wonder if that’s going to be a main focus?

Gem store dyes and other

I don’t like gem store RNG. I don’t like BLKs, I don’t like the idea of spending real money for a chance to get something or maybe part of something (scraps), or junk.
I do however support the gem store as long as what I am buying is guaranteed.

I’ve probably spent more real money in the gem store than 99% of all players. I don’t mind* doing it as long as I know what I am getting. This buy a box, pack, whatever for a “chance” is junk. Sell it straight out Anet. You will get more buyers.

Those dye packs with a ‘chance’ are junk to me. Not cool. Just sell the darn dyes. I bet it would sell more. Gem store RNG = Rip Off.

Didn’t you know, nerfing zerker will suddenly make all the other armour types viable for you. Awesome right, get working on that clerics gear!

SAB 2 was about challenge and to increase the challenge it wasn’t the type of puzzle that changed so skills learned from playing Manic Miner or Frogger or Sonic were not going to make much difference after you made it through SAB1. The sequel was more about the timing and accuracy with keyboard and mouse and so nothing to do with basic mechanics and all to do with dexterity, observance, reflex and possibly affected by various types of lag

No. In World 1 you could just run around everything and there was minimal jumping needed. World 2 was very different as you were required to jump more and the enemies required certain mechanics. The ninjas had a mechanic to learn since you end rally could not just ignore them like a lot of people attempted to unsuccessfully. You had puzzles (although basic) that you needed to overcome to proceed further.

I referenced older games because if you had played those, you would have found World 2 to be pretty easy and a breeze. The only timing and accuracy portion was with TM which to be honest was supposed to be a pain to do.

SAB 2 was too hard for me and there was no way I was playing that and Im not even interested in SAB 3 or 4. Its sad because I loved SAB 1.

W2 was fine (after the waterfall fix XD) Main problem was just how insanely long it was, especially with Z3 with no save points and such.

W2 Zone 2 Trib did make me want to murder small kittens tho. Honestly the most enraging thing I ever experienced in a video game. I started seeing random spike traps in my mind even outside of SAB after a while. It was traumatizing. XD

Each zone could easily be done in 30 minutes which is your average dungeon path time. Seems completely reasonable to me. Zone 3 had plenty of checkpoints. I think there were about 5 or so.

Not ones that allowed you to exit or anything. Should of chopped the zone up into segments or something. Z3 Tribulation mode could take 2-8 hours and forces you to take different and longer routes. o.O and being disconnected was a disaster.

Or they could always just add the Commando as the next Heavy armor class. since SAB proved April Fools can be epic enough to extend it’s reach year-wide.

What do you mean? I don’t see a nose, and the sliders only slightly change the shape of the area of their face where their nose would be if they had one.

It’s a small bump nose like anime characters have. Some don’t even have noses~ meow.
We just need a noseless one with a catface mouth now.

Actually after messing around with the faces I noticed they actually do have noses, just small and without noseholes. Makes me wonder if she was going for an anime-style art look. This ‘kawaii’ face one I made made me giggle. :x
