How can you even call yourself an elite guild when you don’t min/max by default?
Because max. dps setups are usually extremely subpar in “real” dungeon runs. All records that are worth to be called “record” make use of builds that you would facepalm away on damage calculations.
I’m at 11, so thats quite a lot.
Anyway, Bifrost Legendaries got a nice revamp this patch!

I wonder how many transmutation charges are sitting on your account.
You cannot daze, stun, or fear Lupicus.
You can’t, I can.
And because this is not enough to create a new post, I’ll add my 4:25 Lupicus Mesmer Solo.

It’s fine Sandy, you finally have some use for the Domination traitline.
If you call Goku’s solo RNG abomination, better don’t watch the one I’ll be uploading soon.
(edited by Dub.1273)
I wonder how you get 8 reflections in phase 2, though. I was getting 3, 4 and 5…

I’m extremely impolite to people who are not willing to spend thought on things. And people who are not reading the chat at all should just be kicked.
Sander loved it. Good old inefficient solo’s.
Anyway, I wasn’t really busy doing it. Each record took me about 1-6 hours to get and as that’s all I still do in GW2, it didn’t come at the cost of shortening any free time.
The mesmer one is different, though. Had two days of attempts, where both times I started lagging so much that I couldn’t even dodge grubs, just after the gates to Lupicus opened.
Now my motivation is gone. >.>
Contrary to the necromancer one, the warrior kill went really nice.
Congrats to finishing the series, wish me luck for mine.
portal from the boss to Reliquary Waypoint?
Wish that was possible, it bugs out the “explore the graveling tunnels” event if you go there too fast or don’t go there at all.
One mesmer speeds up AC path 1 the most, relatively to other dungeons. There’s not only one portal to be used, but even two or three. An optimal AC path 1 run would take about 3 minutes and something, with a mesmer, about a minute or one and a half longer without.
Yeah, Mesmer is not needed for AC (except maybe for P2?). Mesmer is good for CM / SE / CoF / CoE / Arah and FotM
Oh dear, wrong you are.
Well, I was online like 5 hours today, 4 of that afk. I lack the motivation to really push anymore.
I push him to the wall because I am too bad to do him legit. Must exploit.
In general, the higher ((Precision – 822) mod 21) is, the worse is your setup.
Especially at high levels of power, precision is usually worth more than power, depending on your critical damage.
That 15 minute restriction is only there for the first view videos. Once you verify your account it’s gone anyway.
As for your processor: I’ve got a Q6660 (8 years old). Although yours has 400mhz lower clock speed, I’m pretty sure it’s faster than mine. Recording to HDD consumes less power than streaming, the video gets into your temporal storage anyway. I can understand that both together crushes your pc, though.
But hey, probably you’ll be able to use Shadowplay with the next Geforce Experience update. Mobile chips 660+ are already supported by it with the new beta driver.
Seriously miku, get your kitten together and learn to use youtube!
Now with the 30 minute cooldown, that’s even somewhat reasonable. Nevertheless the NPC is a kitten and often distracts locusts, already ruining phase 1.
If people want embers to be banned, I’m okay with that, but as I’ll not update this after 15th of april, I think someone else should continue a similar thread, maybe with different rules.
I wonder what happened to good old ‘reading enemie’s tells and controlling their actions’?
Screw that, I guess. Lets all get teachers to tell us what to do!
But what to do if they release new content…?
Oh, nevermind. They’ll never do.
Exactly, that’s forbidden as it would allow any profession to stack 2:30 min of fury and 40s of 25 might with an ele in the party, or to get 60s fury and might from warbanner and the banner effects. So the rule is you can do whatever you want, but only as long as you do it all alone, as if there is no other person. Well, almost everything. Nourishment is totally allowed, gem store or other boosters are not. No consumables allowed except for fire elemental powder/ogre pet whistle, but those are not allowed to deal any damage.
As I didn’t include it earlier (noone told me…) and it not being relevant anymore, I’d like to mention Dom’s 7:32 Engineer Solo. I’m uploading the new record of 6:37 right now, though. Link on first page as usual.
Getting kicked from pugs for using assassins + berserker mix instead of pure berserker as engi. Fun.
Sander, oh king in mesmerville, continue praising the glorious gs mesmers and support us with you sexy mantra heals, offer the great gods all your dps as tribute and be heard by them. For sanderstep’s sake!
noh!
/15 chars
Prefer a sexy mantra heal remix? I can set up a sex hotline with it, so we can earn money.
Mmmmmmantra Heals!
It’s 100g prize pool now.
Can’t believe noone succeeded yet.
I’ll do some attempts with 106% critchance, which should equal enough precision to get 100% crit aagainst level 82 bosses.
(edited by Dub.1273)
I got quite a few non-crit reflects in my guardian lupicus solos while I had fury. As I’m using assassins gear + ranger runes there, I was at 107% critchance.
Anyway, considering sigil nerf and the ferocity transition on runes, traits and major traits, you get up to a 36% damage loss as elementalist. The 15% (without the sigil nerf) are pretty accurate, but don’t consider everything. 15-25% without sigil nerf is realistic, though.

Snow outside? :o
For me, spring looks like in Sapphirine’s CM pictures.
I know a fix. Delete your sylvari and make a human, play the game as it is intented to play. Screw all those asura, norn, sylvari and charr bugusers who have all their weapons bug into their armor.
cries forever
Dub you broke my heart!
Sorry sweetie, now tell Danica how mean I was!
I mean I’m getting banned anyway, might as well let them face asuran problems while they are at it, right
As I was checking the different scepter looks, I had to relog to my human. On my ele I couldn’t see a single weapon skin in preview, because every single one bugged into my asuran priory armor. :<
I know a fix. Delete your sylvari and make a human, play the game as it is intented to play. Screw all those asura, norn, sylvari and charr bugusers who have all their weapons bug into their armor.
I did calculations in optimized but realistic situations for guardians, warriors and elementalists. A 30/30/10/0/0 FGS Ele, full ascended berserker equipment, fury, 25 might, both banners and spotter loses 36%, including the stacking/force sigil loss. 30/25/0/0/15 warriors lose about 23%-25%, also full ascended but depending on the amount of buffs. Guardians (with their little critical damage) “only” lose 18%-23%, once again depending on party buffs.
Calculations can be found easily, there’s a spreadsheet with my (ele) calculations in the “The Ele Meta” thread in the elementalist profession forum. On the other side, anyone using practical assumptions (that means not grinding for another set of armor/weapons to match the new optimum), using a working spreadsheet will come to about the same conclusions. Less than 10% don’t even really work out if you ignore the stacking sigil loss, ignore fury and assume only berserker equipment, using BiS builds for pre/post patch.
And to clear things up, yes, I’m talking about DPS, not Critical Damage. Even with 100% critchance, when losing 30% critdmg, the dps loss is much smaller. If the update was solely about 20-25% critdamage loss (not percent of your critdamage, but actual critical damage) this would be about 10% dps loss. Sadly, it’s much more significant.
The 10% they called are a joke, it’s actually 22-36% depending on your profession, build and buffs (assuming you’ve been and will stay full offensive specced). But even *if*it was just 10%, that’s a pretty huge nerf. Especially considering all the passive play-buffs anet likes to spew out, it’s probably going to kill a majority of the last few direct damage builds there are.
Actually, distortion (aka invulnerability) still does that. Aswell as blocks (to things that can be blocked).
I’m currently playing the game as it’s meant to be played.
I’m not playing it at all.
I did one attunement swap pre combat (eruption → fire), aside of that I was just using burning retreat as escape out of his aoe leech. Blasting staff is actually absolutely unnecessary, I just took it to deal easier with locusts. Gap closing is not required at all, walking back to him in p3 is enough.
I already have a FGS and a D/F solo of him on youtube, S/F + LH and staff are going to follow.
Builds used were:
FGS: 30/30/10/0/0, Undead + Force – 1:53
D/F: 30/30/0/0/10, Vigor, Undead + Energy – 5:41
S/F + LH: 30/20/10/0/10, Vigor, Undead + Energy – 7:01
Staff: 30/20/0/0/20, Vigor, Blasting Staff, Undead – 5:06
My youtube channel also contains Luicus solo’s of most other professions. As I didn’t bother with renaming them properly, they might not have appropiate names.
that’s why you rotate between GS and sword.
I mean gs and sword combo still doing 3% less damage than sword. It is because you still have to use gs auto for 7 more secs (assume you swap immediately when swap is available).
And this is where theory and praxis drastically disconnect.
Theory: Rotation deals 3% less damage than pure sword.
Reality: Doing a GS+Sword Rotation deals roughly 15% more damage than pure sword.
This takes into account that Binding Blades hits up to 5 times.
GS: 10% Sigil, Sword/Focus: 10% and 5% Sigil.
Why would I wonder? Ascended scepter exploits, told you that it’s ridiculously strong long ago.
There’s still lot of improvement to be made, especially in phase 1 and 2, so many unnecessary dodges and rotation interrupts, I’d upload you a video of my recent staff solo, I don’t have it here, though.
Curious about your build, though, must have been something like 25/30/0/5/10?
Surely 20/30/0/10/10 would be a better choice.
Anyway, good job. Added it to the table.

As I do not log in until this challenge ends, as my PC isn’t usable at the moment, I’ll just submit my entry out of old screens I found.
Dub the Rainbow and Iris the spring fairy of exhibitionism.
Arah Path 2
As Dub was dubbling the rainbow auras around him, Iris the spring fairy already started work, creating shiny lights and lovely music all around the fabulous arena of Giganticus Lupicus. As Dub was totally surprised by the quick beginning, he totally forgot making some screen quality pose. Luckily enough, with Iris showing off, the eyesight of the viewer is covered elsewhere than on the kitten y UI parts.

Lol, I indeed meant 8th april, not august.
As for evades, invuln, etc, those are allowed to use, as long as you don’t move and as long as you don’t avoid damage with them. Using Renewed Focus to recharge virtues is fine. Dodging into an object is aswell.
