Alright, summoned pets aint allowed to deal damage then. Sorry Tom.
Anyway, as my 1:47 had an ember dealing damage, it will be removed. I will update the thread in about one or two hours, though, when I uploaded a 1:53 again. Until then, the record is in goku’s hands again.

Thanks, Iris.
Sander, you got me. It’s just six out of eleven records, though.
Any opinions on the penalty thing? Against it? If not, how should the penalty look?
Big bump to this, anyone who wants his times included, please leave a link to the video (youtube.com/watch) and the time here. Rules can be found on main page.
Edit: I’ve now been updating all records that I were aware of. Goku’s 4:09 has been disqualified due to the ember dealing damage.
As this is rather drastically I’d like to hear some feedback of you about maybe adding a time penalty (like 5 seconds penalty per second the pet did damage). This way you would not have to use the ember as late as possible.
(edited by Dub.1273)
Because adding an optional mob that can be safespotted distracts teleporting scripts so much.
So you want them to balance based on PuG’s, which were initially not even meant to be able completing a dungeon?
Fact is, in any speedrun for any dungeon, there should be at very least 1 elementalist, usually 2 and ocassionally 3. Another fact is, in any speedrun for any dungeon, you will not use more than 1 guardian, often not even one.
Elementalists deal the most damage in the game and improve the parties dps the most. By the time a good guardian carried a bad group through the dungeon, an excellent elementalist would have already been done solo’ing it.
Isn’t doing something for the challenge, complaining to be too easy while using facetank sets a bit contradictonary?
However, yes, I do have some faster duo runs from a few months ago. This is one.
And I even had like 1 second delay, which you can clearly see when dodging gargoyle heads fire balls.
All I can say is: not impressed. A rather slow run using easymode set-ups and using fgs for basically anything.
Good news, #2012 meta still exists.
Anyway, praise the zerg meta.

Finally a good build used, that 25/30/0/15/0 kitten gets boring.
Yours didn’t even beat my previously posted one.
It’s still your turn.

You might simply not have enough encounter knowledge to judge about what fractals need and what not.
Go play the game and learn mechanics before suggesting in a CDI thread!/sarcasm off.
Edit: Come on me, Delay. Beat this. http://youtu.be/hNiIionxgTo
Finally got youtube to work, due to the recent government restrictions over the past 2 weeks ive gotten some pretty good lag, each spike like this can last up to 2 hours and always seems to happen at lupi making me look like a nub. Doubt you can beat this one dub
. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tWGDXMtXJYE
Not even two minutes, can only laugh about that. Thats like what I get on daily basis.
You are not even the only one today. T.T
Anyway, as I’ve bought 38% of “mesploits” usages and the remaining 62% stay at sander, I can ensure you that mesploits have been used during this run!
We also agreed on calling our club the Dubble Delvers. If someone wants to join us and/or buy mesploits shares, contact me. It isn’t free, of course!
But his bear tanked the kicks while he went full dps longbow.
Grubs spawning on him were blatantly a bug.
Anyway, why do all my trial runs fail?
Don’t worry Dub, I was talking about Goku.
#wildguess, you’re German right ?
But I’m actually holding the most lupi speedkill records, including the four fastest one’s ever done!
/criesinacornerasnoonehonorsme.
Aw cmere dub, everything is fine, I still have a spot in my notwethorgoku club left for you
You could have soloed lupi first… except you didn’t!
Not everyone knew about the mighty sentinel rifle before wethospu, the great warrior, was born.

Top EU Lupi killer is French. #soproudbutnotabletodothesame
It’s hard to believe I’ve never met any Kr players so far :/
I’m not french ._.
mesploit.
This is not properly used and I have copyright on the term, I will see you in court!
There was a mesploit involved.
Generally you should run 10/25/0/10/25 on your guardian for solo’s. For parties you could drop the 10 points in honor for another 10 in zeal. You should have perma vigor and together with maybe one energy sigil (on focus, I’d say) you shouldn’t have any problems dodging everything.
As for p3, you should at least touch the red circle of him a little bit. Further than that has a chance of getting you bubbled.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tFMNAX6iFNc
Starting at party composition, going over to common stack spots and ending with generally in-combat skipping and waiting.
My old duo p1 runs took 4-5 minutes, nowadays pugs need about 10+. Still, in the rare ocassion that Pepsi and I are up to some AC, we average times below 9-10 minutes.
Even the current record of 5 minutes and a bit can be beaten by at least 30 seconds.
I love AC, I just hate it the (subpar) way pugs do it.
Early AC runs (way before the revamp) were, aside of some lupi solo’s, the best experience I’ve had in this game yet.
As for PvE, it’s definitely warrior, if strictly talking about condition damage. Maintains perma burn, ~20-25 bleed stacks, high uptime on 2-4 torment and still does the highest direct damage with it’s attacks, compared to other professions. Also it does maintain high might stacks and banner of strength, fury and yet has active defense.
If going strictly to what condition built profession would be the greatest (well, actually none is even ‘good’) to increase the parties damage, considering 4 berserker players as compagnions, it’s the engineer.
Perma burn, perma poison but low party buffs and a laughable anout of bleed stacks. The only thing that makes the race is covering the last 10-15 vuln stacks on bosses.
Caught this guy in the act…
Just… why?
I was once asking for “native english speakers with communicational abilities” for an AC run. One and a half hour later, I gave up on it, as the best I got was:
“I Full PVT run cuz zerka all die no dps” when asking what gear set that person was running.
This is my greatest problem with players in this game. Just a very few people are able to think of efficient builds or strategies themselves. It’s also one part of “why I hate stacking”.
I actually don’t hate stacking at all. I hate people stacking for the sake of stacking, even in situations where you get all negative aspects, but no positive ones of it.
And even worse are AC pugs, stacking in the most supid corners available. Especially for kholer, I feel deep hate growing whenever pugs run straight north to stack in that godkitten kittenties corner of all. Let’s make sure all our cameras bug out and that mobs spawn invulnerable or out of range.
Stacking… stacking… stacking.

You can join us, our (wethsopu’s) fashion is yet unmatched.
Challenge accepted.
I’ll do a series of “stack here, stack there, zerker, 1111111”-runs and see what bosses we can beat.

Imbued Grawl Shaman might have roasted some parts of guang, it shot love arrows into his head too often. :/

@Mods, please do not take this serious. I’m well aware this might be seen as offending, while in fact it’s an allusion to an insider joke.
(edited by Dub.1273)
And yeah, warrior survivability affects that too, having a giant health pool with no way to refill is it is not nearly as good as a mesmer or guardian, who just avoids taking damage altogether and can burst heal to full if they do get hit.
You must be playing 6u4n6w4r5 2.
As for the other stuff, I know you solely pug (as theres no organized group that would like to play with you?) but you seem to forget that many people do so aswell. I’m one of all people being the least reliant on “burst and forget” mechanics you might find.
Just a quick comparison between engineer and warrior, what they bring to the party.
Warrior: Strong personal damage, not relying on anything, easy to play, decent vulnerability, 3 might, 8/25s fury, a banner of discipline, banner of strength, partially perma fury and another 3 stacks of might. Blast finishers, weakness, vigor, swiftness, soft-cc removal, very good CC abilities on trash, by far best sustain (high HP, more evasion mechanics than any other profession, heavy armor, highest HP/s heal in the game, defiant stance, highest out of combat mobility in the game.
Engineer: Strong vulnerability stacks, strong selfheal, decent party heal, on cost of vuln some might stacks (blast finishers), low duration high cooldown blind, no useful hard CC, decent soft-cc, a bit stealth, kitten personal damage but also good sustain.
(edited by Dub.1273)
- Warrior has crap survivability. You’re going to be dropping super fast since pugs don’t have the DPS to enable you to stay up 100% without any defensive skills.
Not going into detail on the other kitten you wrote, just answering this.
Just because you can’t even range the grawl shaman on your warrior, that doesn’t mean that other’s can’t. I did like 4 grawl fractals in my life and have no problems melee’ing on my warrior.
Tl:dr: You play bad, warriors have arguably the greatest survivability and probably depend the least on the party to maintain an acceptable damage output. Banner of Discipline is a huge buff, Strength isn’t as bad as you make it look (Don’t expect pugs to stack might, but expect them to stack vulnerability. Basically any damage build inflicts such.) and the 8 second fury combined with 3 might stacks and some vulnerability come in handy.
Just look at this from anothers person point of view. For one, there’s you, a guy who has made hillarious claims (some of them being true, some of them being false) but absolutely no experience in speedruns, hell, even failed the trial on a guild that I won’t name here.
On the other side there’s me, being the one providing tactics, including but not limited to team composition, for the majority of all speedruns we, as rT, have done. I have done various encounter solo’s, including world bosses like temple priests.
The point behind this isn’t claiming myself to be the best player around, but to show how weird this discussion must look for anyone with at least a few braincells.
• Enemy dodges = conditions previously applied keeps on ticking.
- Enemy dodges = any damage applied prior to the dodge is negated. – ?
/logic, I guess. Dodging has exactly the same impact on condition specs as on direct damage specs.
Condition cleansing hurts condition builds as much as protection hurts direct damage builds.
Usually PvP teams consist of 1 bunker, 2-3 direct damage specs, 1-2 condition damage specs.
If you have enough dragonite ore, you’re zerging boss events (which requires less than no skill).
That does absolutely not fit the word ‘ascended’. We should get dragonite ore for playing skillful. Lupicus could reward maybe 25 ore, 25 if killed solo, 5 if killed in a 5 men group. World bosses should reward 25, but 25 all together. So if more than 5 players were participating, each one only gets less than five. Additinally add extremely hard fights to the game. Put the Risen High Priest of Arah into an instance and make him reward 50 dragonite ore. And maybe some even harder tiers to drop up to 250 dragonite ore.
Not to mention 116 Bloodstone Bricks and 27 Empyreal Stars.
Best to worst:
Effectiveness:
1) Grenade engineer
2) Phantasm mesmer
3) Hammer guardian
4) LH or staff ele
6u4n6m47h.
Actual truth:
1) S/D (+ LH) Ele, you can’t expect anyone to stand in Focus’ fire field, with Persisting Flames.
2) S/D (+ LH) Ele, without Persisting Flames.
3) 30/25/0/0/15 Warrior, Forceful Greatsword. (Some parties have together literally a fifth of a good warrior’s damage output.)
4) Depending on circumstances, a mesmer, a guardian or an engineer.
(edited by Dub.1273)
Just had some 1v1’s with Shad, in WvW I won like 80%, in PvP he won like 80%+.
Lyssa Runes + S/P = Necromancer’s Nightmare.
NCSoft has been DDoS’ed yesterday, I think. Might be it, as Guild Wars 2 runs on NCSoft servers.
Myself starting an instance, three (probably all?) of us having extreme lagspikes.
Lesson learnt? Nope, same just happened again.
So, why deleting the thread of the dungeon forum just because it went “off-topic”?
If the thread was called “post what you want” it would be still existing?
Just throwing this in here again: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b2VhmwLwvrM
Whoever argues against the “berserker meta”, is that what you want the game to become? Add some random dodges in and you are invicible, that would make you able to play content blind with one hand, easily. Is that what you want as new meta in gw2, instead of actually a bit of positioning, dodging and supporting?
You can see my build in the description video. I tried to bring in some ranging at alphard too, but also didn’t want to make it appear that we use the easy way and avoid it all on range.

Youtube failed converting, 1080p as avi, 360p on youube.
Edit: I would make one, but I can’t.

Somebody please beat some sense in to this guy.
Whats the matter? Logic to much for ya? You said auto attack is where most of the damage comes from. I showed you how only guardians and warriors have auto attacks actually worth mentioning.
