I’m sure there’s a rule against discussing things about support, but I’ll say that the option has been tried to no avail. I wish you guys had a website to buy gems from, so that I wouldn’t have to fight with the system that doesn’t want to open the purchasing site.
Is there any way to give you guys logs of what happening? I’m sure it’s tossing out an error somewhere in the code no?

You’d think a company that needs money to survive would put all available hands on deck in case of a money emergency, but I don’t know anything about business so I guess this is an uneducated opinion.

The Gem Store is web-based. It’s just accessed in-game. Digital River handles all transactions.

You can try clearing your GW2 cache. Instructions found via the ‘Support’ link above/below and ‘Search – Troubleshoot TP’.

I think we should have mounts in guild wars because they would be fun and beneficial.. The new expansion should come with a Mount Riding Mastery. i think a lot of people would enjoy this feature as well as a great way for Arena net to make more money by selling mounts.

There are mounts. Riding broom, magic carpet. Sonic tunneling device. There is another nut I cant remember the name, seeing I’ve I’ve only seen a hand full of these used ever, they must not sell well. So no mounts. As they are not popular enough to ne worth the effort.

In b4 someone tells you dont don’t use them because they dont provide movement speed boost. That’s the point of them! To not give movement speed boost.

I’d want arenanet to offer players a chance to buy gems/gold online through the website. We login to the website, and we buy gems for our characters in-game. Gems only though.

I guess we’re in the top 5% of the game then. The weirdos who come and post on the forums.

I don’t want mounts because existing options already cover what mounts could do. Plus, mounts would take away valuable development time. Time where they could fix bugs, add new content, make the game better. Mounts are a tired old cliche of 00’s era MMOs, let them die along with the flip phone. Modern MMO’s do well when they don’t have the over-used over-done mounts. Mounts enable lazy players to skip content. Why bother running around! Just get on your mount and get to the end of that dungeon! Only do the boss! Hooray!

Why bother with mounts when you can run everywhere? And you run pretty quickly too! No need to dismount and fight mobs, just smack them right there and then.

No to mounts. Keep them in lower quality games, but not in GW2.

Also the toy boom and the other thing are just that, toys, and decorative. Real equipment is your two little legs to run around with.

I just tried all of the paypal methods, and they wont work for me. Is there anyway anet could have a web based gem purchased system? Since it won’t load in-game maybe anet could make a website to buy gems?

I can’t purchase gems with paypal. It just says there was an error and to try again later. Please fix this arena net,I want to give you $100 but it looks like you don’t want it.

Not. Gonna. Happen. It’ll probably happen for Mac before it even becomes a dream in a developer’s mind to happen on linux. Why would anyone develop for a measly 2% of the marketshare? You don’t spend your big dollaroos on that small of a marketshare, that is bad business. If someone in my company said something like that they would get fired for making a noobish mistake. I mean you could make the software, but linux users have not shown to be big spenders above windows or macs. How do you makeup the cost? Charge linux users more? Make windows users bear the cost of making software for the 2%?

I get that all the linux fanboys have a love towards linoox, and they think it’s the bee’s knees, but unfortunately the rest of the world has gone windows. That is what people develop for, that is what makes the dollars, that is why the game came out windows first. Windows is what they give workers and developers, and yes, some developers prefer linux I know I do. That still doesn’t mean it’s a good gaming platform when the best way to play games on it is beg for developers to notice your 2% share, and decide to invest. Second best is with wine. Slowdown guaranteed. gotta translate those windows calls to linoox calls.

oh and lets not forget the terrible driver support by manufacturers, ah geez gosh darnit now fanboys have to write their own drivers and distribute them.

So in sum a native linux client is not worth it.

• not big spenders on average
• wine is a horrible workaround for running windows games on linux, might as well run windows
• driver support is wanting
• small marketshare 2% ain’t jack when you’’re in arenanet land.
• not worthwhile investment, could invest money back into game.
  
  A ton of you don’t understand just how dominant windows is. Just about every PC sold is either windows or mac. Sure a small percentage is sold linux installed, and some windows PCs turn into Linux, the market dominance still remains.

other toons should get the skin, but not functionality. Want it? shuffle your tool around or buy more. You can never buy too much.

I’m not too sure I even care about this. I would rather the arenanet devs spend their time more fruitfully fixing bugs , adding content, and overall improving the game. I recall hearing that some bugs are going years unfixed, but I haven’t encountered any bugs! Save for one where a ascalonian ghost was in a tree shooting me with bow. The bug fixed itself. I do own the bell though, so I could see the use in having a bell respond at a faster rate. Client sided? Nope.

I did this in real life once. Drank all. I want to do this in GW2, just drink all the booze my avatar can afford. I might have a teensy problem..

To save money, if you have your players spread out on your expensive hardware it’s best to have them on one hardware.

no, you want cosmetic things you gotta pay. It helps the devs pay for things like patching bugs and adding new content.

See here’s thing you bought it at full price when it came out. You can’t expect anet to bend over just for you cause you bought it early. You crazy. YOU bought it early so YOU deal with the consequences.

Ex: You buy a car, its an ok car. Goes places. SKip a few months and theres a sale on the car. OH NOEZ you can’t get the sale because you already bought it and you needed a car.
