I don’t think its a good idea, those legendary armors should be obtainable on PvE imo.
2) wipe out the old raid and put in the new on the same old map. Which, imo, is very possible. Once any new raid is in, any old raids will be essentially abandoned. How many raiders are going to go back and do old content when there is are new raids to do. They might as well clean off the area rather than have old content sitting there essentially abandoned.
They can add an explorable version of the raid, with a couple of events to do some researchs and such if they want, and then place that same raid as a “Fractal Raid” or something.
I don’t necessarily think adding raids was a bad idea, but I do think it was a bad idea to place so much focus on the raid for so long. I think it would be better to alternate raid releases with content that’s more accessible to the general community of players so people who aren’t interested in raiding don’t feel bored or left out.
In the AMA, they stated that the raid team its not that big, so its not a lot of resources being placed on the raid.
A company with ~300 developers, allowing 6-10 people to work on the raid its not that bad imo
This is the last think i need for my Charcharias
Personally, last night i went back to PvP yesterday to try some builds and got some great matches and queue times of 1 minute or less.
Pretty cool
I completely support this, some of my friends that loved the PvP when the f2p model was launched, they just left because they couldn’t compete against elite (and can’t pay the full price).
So imo ANet should unlock the Elite Specs with some kind of currency, for example:
- One of my friends plays mesmer and he wants to use Chronomancer, he should earn 200 of x currency in order to unlock it for PvP-Only and that x currency can be earned by doing Unranked Matches or something.
Please ANet consider this, this might be your biggest sell point
edit: This elite will only be available on PvP.

After I won a match and lost 2 pips i’ve been avoiding this leagues. Even though they “fixed” the issue, i’m a bit salty about this and prefer to do relaxing things in PvE and wait until the next league.
I’m surprised that this is not on reddit.
This will be changed for an upcoming update so that disconnecting will not cause a desertion for party members if they win. The player who abandoned the match will still get a desertion.
My friend didn’t abandon the match, he came back in like a minute and we still won. The worst part is that i lost 2 PIPS! not 1, but 2!!!
It’s not a bug or anything. It’s intended. Since you were partied with him, it penalizes you too. The other people on your team (but not in your party) gained a pip. Ik it sounds flawed, but this is the system they have in place.
But he came back and we won, that doesn’t make sense :/
what was their response?
Thanks a lot for taking the time to share your ideas about the Guild Wars 2 PvP point system. We have found that the best way for the development team to gather and review player feedback and suggestions is through our official forums. We ask players to post their ideas in our Official Forums: https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum
Please post your suggestion in the forum most relevant to the subject at hand. For instance, if you are writing about PvP, post in the PvP sub-forum. If you are making a suggestion about a specific profession, please post in that profession’s sub-forum. And if you are writing about the Living World, feel free to post in that sub-forum.
Members of the Development Team read the forums daily, and while they usually cannot respond to individual suggestions, the fact that team members can review those suggestions in a public forum helps them gauge the level of interest in a particular idea, and also allows other players to discuss and offer feedback of their own.
The team looks forward to reviewing your input.
Regards,
Yesterday i played a match with a friend and he dced, even though he came back and we won the match i lost 2 pips.
I made a support ticket and they copy-pasted a response telling me to post my “feedback” in the forums. I will not repeat what the majority of people have said already about the horrible matchmaking and this kind of bugs. I’ll just going to ignore PvP until the next league and hopefully that one will be better than this one.
I’m extremely dissapointed about ANet response.
I’m quite frustrated about this, for now i’ll avoid doing solo Q. I’ll only going to PvP when my friends are conected.
Hello all!
I’m curious, its possible to have consumables in raids? like foods ?
Thanks!
I just want to complete the map with my elementalist while i queue for PvP. I did that with my mesmer long time ago
I’ve seen druids using the movement thing with the orb and a bunch or things, thanks god Ranked arenas is around the corner
Sport Sunglases, please.
Support is kinda an odd term? What exactly are you looking to do? Defensive or Offensive Support?
Offensive Support looks something like: Interrupts, blinds, Reflects, slow, quickness, alacrity, Boons (might, fury), etc
Defensive Support looks something like: healing, condi cleanse, Boons (stab, prot, aegis, regen), distortion, projectile destruction, etc.
Without really knowing what your goal/expectation is your question is just too broad to directly answer. Even linking one of those “old support builds” will give us a better idea of what you’re looking for.
Both? Both, lets start with defensive never really did support before I need a good idea where to start from.
I think the mesmer support is kind of giving as much quickness (and alacrity if you are Chronomancer) as possible. Right now i run a build that is mostly sharing Quickness and Alacrity as much as i can to my party members (also damage, tons of damage
).
What specializations do you focus on? Also what stat would be best.
I run something like this: http://gw2skills.net/editor/?vhAQNAseRn0nBloh9fCmfCUrhFVj6MJWipjMAGhirOZn2sF-TBBXwAA2fQgyPIKBXq+DA-e
I make changes here and there depending on the situation.
For gear mostly Assassin is the way to go (though i placed accessories as soldiers, it makes me feel comfortable lol).

They will probably do something similar to orr in the future, lower the enemy density as we killed Mordremoth.
I believe that when there are couple of raid wings, they can nerf the density on those maps and focus the “hard content” on raids. (but please, don’t nerf the metas, they are awesome!)
I like the change, just thinking on getting the elite with my 5 alts was kind of painful, i got Chrono on my main, but my other ones have ~30 hero points each. Now i can go to the jungle and get the elites easily
Their metacritic review illustrates the fact that there are a portion of players kittened off with the expansion. For all its worth its just a dumb review anyways
I think that if we remove the score that people placed over there just with hate (like the “grind grind grind” fiasco), it a little higher than that d:
Lots of damage + movility + heal + able to scape situation: Elementalist.
Does that mean we will wake up on 23rd (the ones who will sleep) and HoT will be ready for us? :O!
Which tool do you use to track your wins and losses like that?
Yesterday everyone was depressed on my guild, we didn’t even do dungeon runs or PvP! we were just on TS talking about the future and stuff lol
I can’t believe they keep nerfing this! If they keep nerfing it we will be facerolling everything on launch =_=
Templates are something we would love to do. We have talked about this quite a bit, and with the frequency we’re seeing raid builds get tweaked we agree this would be a huge help.
I would love that in PvP, now with stronghold and all that.
Thanks everyone! So many people pitched in to make this a good show for you all, and all of us were glad to see how much you liked it!
(Note to self: Chat. Guild CHAT.)
I remembered Silverwastes just by reading the bold part, for some reason…
Anyway, thank to you guys! Twitchcon was amazing
Halloween… Bash the Dragon… Super Adventure Box… The FEELS!
Noob question… what’s MMR?
I think is Matchmaking Rating?
Lazy != Casual Player
I consider myself a casual player and have several ascended items and i’m working towards my first legendary (after playing this game for 3 years already), you just need to focus on what you want and you will eventually get it sooner or later
The map is quite big and with lots of objectives, if people try to zerg they will fail the daily/nightly events. When the map is 100% explorable i think it will be quite interesting to see how the “zergs” will behave.
I feel so ashamed, i convinced some of my friends to buy the expansion because the BW1 was so much fun and more challenging than the current core game. They logged out an hour after playing because it was not that fun, don’t get me wrong, the map looks amazing, but nerfing the mobs is not the way to go.
I just hope my friends don’t refund the Expansion
After playing some more, i notice that the AI is actually fine when there are not big numbers of players. It seems like scaling is wrong? maybe when the map is 100% revealed it will be quite challenging as we will not be able to zerg and hold all the points.

I completed 100% of the map while in queue, i wanna do it again with my elementalist. Please make this happen
For gold sellers, they should limit the f2p accounts to only whisper me if I have them in my friend list, otherwise be blocked or something.
Well it’s a difficult balance. I’d want all whispers and mailing to be blocked. But then again their is the scenario of a current player wanting to get one of their non-player friends to try the game and they’d obviously want to communicate.
Wonder if we’ll see a ‘invite a friend’ functionality.
If i invite a friend to play, the first thing i’m gonna do is add him to my friendlist so we can communicate. I just hope there are some restrictions for the F2P accounts (But let them go to SPvP, so that side of the game gets better pls :’) ).

Personally, i would make the grand masters a selectable option (similar to Revenant legends) and give something else as grand master.
This makes me kind of sad, i was expecting the Next beta weekend to be after the ranger and engineer elite specializations are revealed… I guess i was wrong
Either we got the answer and I just missed it… or we haven’t been told yet. I’m not perfect. Far from it.
I was in the Beta Weekend Event and when I made a Guardian to test out Dragonhunter, it was just available. But might have just been for testing purposes.
I’ve seen people say that there might be a quest to do to unlock it. But once that quest is done once, Elite Specs will unlock account wide.
As an Altoholic, I hope they aren’t too hard/cumbersome to unlock. So do we know how yet? Or this this a “To Be Continued!” moment?
If i recall correctly, they are similar to how you get the traits while leveling, the only difference is that they are available as soon as you hit 80 and have HoT.
So, they will be playing bowling with players? awesome.
I think the Map Reward Bonus on HoT will help a little in the reward, i was able to test it on en BWE and like 3 of 4 events rewarded me with the bonus (A single T6 material from Orr for example). There is a chance to get lodestone, even though i didn’t get a single one.
From the wiki
Map bonus rewards:
- Earned by completing events, jumping puzzles, and mini-dungeons in a map
- Rewards include crafting materials and currencies
- Starter maps will not include additional rewards
Maybe is related to this
I played thorough the weekend and it was fun.
- The history was pretty good and challenging, something that i feel was fresh and cool. Hearing Mordremoth's voice as a Sylvary blew my mind, thank you for that.
- The elite specialization was amazingly done, the classes i played(Chronomancer, Dragon Hunter, Tempest) retain the feels of the core class, but with the mechanics change make them distinct enough to be cool on its own.
- I LOVED the Chronomancer, it was so well done and it doesn’t feel utterly overpowered in PvP, the support it brings to the table make it cool and unique (like his parent, the Mesmer).
- The events when they werent bugged, feels cool too and refreshing.
- My friends and spend so much time gliding, it was ton of fun.
- The masteries leveling feels good, i wan’t able to unlock them all (like 2 or 3 maybe?). I will try to level more on the next BWE so i can see how it feels.
- I was confused on the Map Reward thing, but after doing a couple of events i got reward for several ones. My question on this one is, does all the events in the zone give that reward or does it have a change to give you those items?
All in all, the experience was pretty cool. Can’t wait to play the expansion
yea w/ever not created this thread to argue ur elitist attitudes, did it to give anet some feedback thats all end of story,
I don’t think is an elitist attitude, i consider myself very casual. I died a couple of times on those “trash” mobs but i think they are just fine, they are actually fun to fight.
If you play a Sylvari, you’ll actually hear the dragon and his minion talk.
Yes! i heard that! its a nice touch -
Absolutely impossible to solo for the average player. Guess thats another beta weekend wasted for me then.
I’m an average player and i was able to finish the first part of the history alone.
i heard people saying that the mobs were hard, but it was actually like ‘The mobs are hard, this is fun!’. My guild is having a blast playing the new map and finding new ways to deal with the enemies, hope its get harder and harder as the history progress
