Because i only play this game x)
So far, i really like the concept of the Mirage, it has potential to be a very nice power and dps spec. But it needs some work.
The mirage mechanic consist in gaining Mirage Cloak through evasion and Mirage Mirror, which then change the skill 1 to be an ambush skill, which is an upgrade version of that skill. There are some issues with this mechanic:
- You lose defense for damage.
- Most of the ambush skills are lackluster or just right out bad in some cases.
- Mirage Mirror sounds interesting, but it’s not worth using in practice.
- Ambush from clones is attached to Grand Master trait.
- Phantasm doesn’t use Ambush, which renders that whole part of the mesmer useless.
My suggestions would be:
- We need more sources of mirage cloak aside from dodging, i would suggest adding it for every shatter skills.
- Infinite Horizon should be baseline.
- Rebalance the ambush skills and make the clones attack as soon as we get Mirage cloak.
- The elite recharge times should be a bit lower. I would trade the confusion for a longer distance or a lower recharge time.
- Mirage Advance shouldn’t need us to be in line of sight of the target to use.
- Mirage Cloak should last a bit longer or make the Mirage Cloak gained from Mirage Mirror last longer.
- Phantasms should use the ambush of your current weapon or, even better, a different version of ambush for each type of phantasm.

If that post is real… that would mean that anet listened to many of the suggestions ppl made in the past in this forum…. and that would make me really happy.
On that point… I think it is fake, or an old prototype… Toooo many coincidence with the major suggestions that where made in this forum… Anet listens, but not that much. I would be cautious you don’t fall in love with it.

Try not to overhype yourself, wait for the full details of the elite to be revealed. Personally i try to be as low in expectations as possible, that way i’m never disappointed (but can’t help to get a bit hyped with the leaks lol)

Most likely if the OP jumped right from Zhaitan to HoT, he might have the character full greens and yellows, Maybe if he try to equip his character with exotics at least it might be a better experience.

I hope so, imo they just need to keep implementing new Game modes and let US, the community, decide if its worth for E-SPort or whatever.
Some random suggestions:
- DeathMatch (3v3,4v4,5v5) with personal and team rating, small maps like courtyard, timer, death players can spectate (but not see enemy stealth for example).
- Battlegrounds, something like stronghold but with more people and less focus on rats and birds. For example place buffs on the start, one buff allow you to damage walls, another buff allow you to kill guards (towers), highly increase damage of guards, a temporal buff that makes you inmune to guards damage, highly reduce damage done to guard but they will only focus on you.
- Capture the
flagorb, just use the same orb on Spirit Watch and make it 9v9 or something.
Add an Spectator mode, and let people to spectate from one team only or something.
We’re currently putting the finishing touches on episode five. It’s an important episode and we’re taking the time to get it right.

I consider they should at some point, try to finish up SAB. Its really good content and people love it. Its not good to leave things incomplete and if people love it with passion, there is even more reason to try and finish it up.

This is literally the worst boss figth in the whole history of GW2. Its an endless CC fest with no way to avoid it and in the end your left with bitter taste and every equipment broken.
This needs to be fixed or I will never do it again.

Gold rule here! I once tried to win one game in a lose streak and nearly went down to silver, after that i just stop playing after i lose 2/3 times in a row.
Edit: Also keep in mind that some people might be desparate to get the rewards/climb as much as they can before the season ends and might not be playing very well.
The system seems designed to destroy points and to drag everyone down. The more they play, the lower their ratings will be, even if they perform far beyond the average.
The only way to win is not to play.
The real issue is that there is not many players at high rating (late Platinum/Legendary) which makes the system to match them with lower tiers (Gold/Early Plat) and if they lose, they lose a lot of points. I don’t see how they can fix that tbh, we can only hope the average players get better and increase their rating

you cant kill support ele 1v1 with anything, dont fight them on a captured node ever on such conditions
Of course you can, if you know the Elementalist you can kill them
Adding to what Rashy said, i consider no one should reach legendary or late platinum with only those 10 matches.
I don’t think anyone should have started in legend, it should have been Bronze, Silver and Gold. After that people should work on progressing to Legend.
Right now a lot of people instant jumped to legend or platinum, what if someone start at the end of the season and end up in platinum or legend? That doesn’t seem fair imo.
Yeah I’ve noticed this aswell. Tend to get matched with the same people repeatedly.
Only real workaround is to friend them and not queue till they are in a match.
This is what i do, today i got 2 matches against 2 ESL people that obliterated my team, i just waited for them to be in before i matched again lol

This, i was able to recently queue alone with ~70 personal level on T4 fractals.
Please add a way to get into the new maps in the future that is not linked to an item in the same map and the story, i did the story but sometime i like to farm with other characters.
In the future, if you don’t have the Living Story unlocked, you can’t go to the map (only with teleport to a friend) unless you buy the episode on the gem store.
Hopefully in the future you guys will add an entrance or something to that map.
I’m on the same boat, i usually switch between characters to work on maps and such. This is what ANet responded when i asked about this on the AMA:
Yes, we added a portal stone you can purchase from the vendor for unbound magic, specifically with alts in mind. I also set the ability to harvest unbound magic to be account bound rather than character bound, so you don’t need to play through that story step on each character if you don’t want to, just to be able to get unbound magic.

That being said, i really don’t like that. They should have added an small portal on Verdant Brink or something that allow you to go to that map. Also in the future, if you don’t have the Living Story unlocked, you can’t go to the map (only with teleport to a friend).

They said it before and they just said it today in the Reddit’s AMA: they are splitting resources between LS and the nex expansion to avoid having a content drought pre-expansion launch like the one we had in the pre-HoT months. They don’t have final fixed dates of course, but they said they will release new LS chapters every 2-3 months.So we have to wait 2 months for chapter 2?
Read the multitude of statements Anet has made regarding this. The 2-week releases were hell on the devs and not sustainable for quality content or continual output. They transitioned to a release every 2-3 months that contains higher quantity and higher quality content rather than trying to continue something that burned out the entire team.
Don’t get me wrong, but the LS2 they released 4 chapters (2 weeks each) and a new map and then waited a couple of months to release the other 4 chapters (2 weeks each).
I’m not talking about the old model of a release every 2 weeks, i though this Living Story update would be similar to the Living Story 2 (4 chapters, then wait a couple of months).
This chapter was good, but it was small, so i was expecting that the next chapter will be in 2 weeks, like the LS2.

What they can do is add the old version for custom arenas, so people can use it if they really want to.
For ranked, the new version is perfect.
Personally, i was a raider in back then in WoW.
When raids came to Gw2 i started forming a group and raid, at that point i remembered why i stopped raiding, i don’t want to follow schedule and be forced to connect to raid. I like being ‘free’ and do whatever i want to do and that is why i love this game so much

For this update, we’ll be looking at weapon skills that promote both scepter and dagger. Scepter changes include some modification to casting times and damage increases for both physical and condition damage. The dagger’s abilities have been adjusted to be both more frequently usable and pack a bigger punch for both main-hand and off-hand use.

I think ANet priority is to get back the customer trust, i don’t know how though. The upcoming april patch will only have updates and changes to HoT stuff and not any new real content.
Personally i’m a bit hurt, even though i still love this game, i can’t help but feel sad about what they have done to the Legendaries (was waiting for the legendary sword). I was really excited to see how the other legendaries will look, and most of my friends and guildies too.
But now the excitement is not here anymore, even SAB didn’t help much.
In the meantime, i will hold any gem purchase until ANet show me that i can trust them again (its not like they have to care that much anyway… i’m just one of many customers they have)

Why not both? they can place all those legendary with RNG based on HoT Maps and later (or never) finish the precursor hunt collection. Please ANet! do this!
I’m extremely sad about this, i was saving mats for the upcoming legendary (i was hoping on making one per expansion, the sword specifically for HoT).

What makes you think that diamond division will be easy? You have until april 18th to get to legendary, you have plenty of time to get there.

The issue is that it is just too long to wait for new living world content. It would have been better if they had alternated the release of different types of content so that different types of players would all have something new to do.
If they had the Living Story done, they would have released it already. Lets hope they can finish it as soon as possible, the waiting its killing a lot of people (including me!).
