Okay, here are all my WvW suggestions, these may be repetitive regarding other players suggestions, however they ARE important.
Badges of honor
I and MANY other players feel like we’re being awarded far too few badges, and i agree.
In my lifetime in WvW I’ve gotten 58 badges and most of these are from arrow cart spamming.
I feel like we need to increase the gain of said badges AND that we gain badges from TAKING structures.
As an example:
Supply camps: 1 badge
Towers: 2 badges
Keeps: 3 badges
SM/caslte: 5 badges
PvE content in WvW
Okay Arenanet, we all had a good laugh, but are now sick of things like the Grub and especially the jumping puzzles, gaining badges of honor based on jumping and doing PvE things in WvW?
I suggest we remove the Grub and the jumping puzzles from WvW, add them to PvE where they belong.
Commander Status
There are many possibilities to this, but first remove the “100G” to get it.
The issue is that how can we assign a good commander? guilds would just all vote on their own commander, buying it means whoever is rich and may or may not be qualified gets the title.
Also making the player with the most kills in WvW a commander doesn’t qualify him to be one, you have to literally “command” coordinate things, a good soldier doesn’t make a good leader.
I do think Guilds should be able to assign if researched a guild commander.
I do believe the options should be amplified, i think commanders should be able to make calls, lets go with radical imagination on this one(since arenanet seemed to have done many unthinkable things with GW2)
Imagen a commander can call targets to defend and to attack, everyone would get a message from it, and have the option, aiding the commanders commands successfully will grant extra rewards for coordination and cooperation, extra gold/karma/XP or maybe some buffs to find better loot, anything is possible.
A commander should also be able to target spots to deploy siege engines, when done the players who either put down the engines, or aided in building them are to be rewarded.
The possibilities besides an “arrow” above the head are enormous.
frustrations
One of the biggest frustrations in WvW is upgrading a keep or tower, people regardless of what you say will take supply from the keep preventing an upgrade, generally for stupid purposes, and by stupid i mean repairing a wall under siege from an enemy tower, basically lost supply.
And easy suggestion to stop this is locking the supply depot when a structure is upgrading.
So whenever an upgrade is in process, NO player can take supply from said structure till the upgrade has finished.
Donations
This may be minor, but for some players this is a pain as well.
Why does 1 player have to pay up for an upgrade that may cost half a gold or more?
Instead why can’t player pay a “partial” fee for an upgrade, making it to donations from the upgrade quartermaster, basically whenever players give money(unless buying the full upgrade) it will say the money already given for an upgrade and how much more is needed.
The upgrade that has the money required first will be executed first, if money was given for another upgrade it will save and be available for the next upgrade.
Map completion
Please remove WvW from the equasion to get 100% of the map, it means a bunch of PvE players(no offense i do both, it’s just when i do WvW i actually do WvW, not explore and prevent WvWers to play)
Will go around the map trying to explore all the vistas and poi instead of WvWing
I can’t blaim players for wanting 100% map completion, but for it to rely of WvW i can suggest it’s removed.
And that’s all i can say for now, please do share your opinion on these toughts, (and hopefully an Arenanet Dev as well
