I decided to make howler last night, the draw effects and footsteps work apparently, but something else i noticed is the underwhelming howl which is being canceled out by your own skills sound, I didn’t notice this on past videos, is this new or is it my imagination?
Just use your home instance if you have those nodes, or loot someone that has them
Missing aura is not a bug, thats how LOD option work, it reduce particle effects when there is to many stuff on screen. Aura from howler, bifrost, fire effect on arm from incinerator or ice from frostfang.
Don’t have this on my incinerator ever, and i constantly do zerg type gameplay.
Pls teach me how you do 100%-75% hp phase without turrents
You obviously haven’t seen “Fun” GW2Community Tequatl where we all tagged up, didn’t use any turrets and just broke the bone walls as they spawned.
Basically if you can phase teq within a time limit that allows you to do 3 burn phases that re-phase him then you have teq done.
So even if you phase him the first time at 6 minutes left you will still be successful
I disagree quite a bit, but when it comes to these kinds of things it’s personal opinion, nothing more nothing less.
If you like 15% out of the skins, then between light, medium and heavy there are 214 pieces that you like, I’m fairly certain that you can make quite some characters with this, and this is excluding outfits

It was never that bad, people didn’t know how to play them that much back then.
I recall Ele’s in PvP were all going glass-cannon and getting 1-shot by anything on a staff zerker build.
Nowadays in PvP Ele’s tend to go for a more tanky setup with team support and decent damage, or burst Scepter yolo builds XD at least those have more survivability then the previous zerker staff builds.
In PvE Ele right now is competing with thief for #1 on damage as those 2 are the top damage dealing classes in dungeons, add to that, that ele’s tend to bring fury to the group, as well as fire fields for might stacking a couple(or ton depending on your build) blasts and ice bows which are just insane for damage and 5s deep freezes.
Warrior is higher then both ele and thief. So there is that.
After those 3 it’s a toss up, but I know which isn’t there. Necro’s cause their last.
Actually warrior is below average and deals less damage then half of the classes in the game, it should be around rank 5 in terms of dps.
If it wasn’t for banners Warriors would have no place in dungeons

Actually it would have been better to update it with notes as “Anomaly night time cycle is currently bugged” there are enough players right now that are unaware of what howler was and it’s pretty sad to be honest
I love how I see LFG with “7.5K LVL80 EXP ONLY 4 WARRIOR 1 ELE SPEED RUN”
Noone realizes that Warrior doesn’t actually do that much damage at all, In fact they do as much damage by themselves as Necro’s.
They only reason why organized groups obviously use them is because of banners, but it only takes 1 warrior to do that job though.

Seriously we are talking about a LEGENDARY weapon here, this issue has been ignored far too long, I’m glad i found out about this before I crafted Howler, but for the people that have worked for this it must be even more annoying.
I just can’t understand why we can’t even get a simple response on this by ANET, it’s just being Ignored, It’s not that Legendaries have been forgotten there have been multiple legendary upgrades and fixes over the past year, the latest being sound dissapearing from them or not functioning properly(see Quip and Dreamer)
This should be bumped till we get a response or a fix of somekind
I was interested in acquiring a Howler, but then I noticed that several effects are bugged, Day and night Cycle is bugged, draw effects are gone amongst other things.
I really love this legendary, but if there is no update from Anet on when this is getting fixed it seems like a waste getting it.
I recall that before with the bugs on legendaries(like the incinerator not showing the blade) it got hotfixed the SAME day, Remember the screeching sound on the dreamer recently? same thing it got fixed instantly, why hasn’t this happened for the howler yet?

Wow people are really defending this change… I didn’t realize the game had sunk so low that something like this is actually defensible….
So you just assumed 100% of the GW2 players would think the same thing you do?
Previously the dailies could be a big grind, and sometimes you couldn’t get your chest if you only do 1 type of thing in the game + the grind for AP wasn’t fun either.
Now the change gives more rewards and makes it possible to get your chest with either PVE, PvP or WvW, while getting the full 10+ AP.
The downside is that some of the dailies (PvP and PvE) are rather stupidly designed, in PvP class dailies on a class you don’t have is bad, while in PvE things like do 4 events in X place isn’t great either, but on the upside some unvisited areas you never go to unless you are doing world explorer are now “some days” more crowded which is a good thing imo
Instead of just being surprised about people not agreeing you should state why you hate it, as for me i think the upsides far outweigh the downsides
Team 5-man premade PvP, someone Dc’s and comes back within the minute, then your whole team can’t play because said person got dishonor

Backporting happens once in a while…it’s annoying to be honest
A S/P thief can easily win against a D/D ele if he is using infiltrator’s strike and predicting key moves.
I’ve done it before with a friend of mine, i would just shadowstep back to my location every time he’d use a key ability, especially the lightning aura’s.
Besides this most damage from S/D thieves comes from their sigils which have short cooldowns but have cooldowns, meaning when procced it’s not a bad idea to move out, wait a couple of seconds move back in and proc them again.
It’s usually a long fight but if you are positioning right then you shouldn’t have a problem as a S/D thief, but i’d be reluctant to take on a D/D ele because it’s a long fight(not a good thing for thieves as it’s not your role)
D/P though i’d favor an ele, as a D/P thief has way less sustain then a S/D thief meaning an ele can outlast the thief if played correctly
S/P was a big thing at launce, then it got nerfed into the ground just like D/D in PvP, well on the D/D note people just realise D/P is as bursty but offers more then just a single backstab(blind fields and a great gap closer that isn’t steal)
Well that and people realised traiting steal is actually really strong.
Thieves have been nerfed a lot since Launce, if you are going to fight them i wouldn’t suggest a warrior as thieves counter you if they are S/D’s
On a side note, since you are asking for a backstab nerf, if you are losing against bursty D/P thieves that imo you are doing something wrong, I’ve been able to 2v1 D/P thieves before on my warrior, as long as they don’t use S/D they are too squishy and 1-trick wonder reliant imo, especially against a tanky warrior that can just outlast them.
Hambow is still a very nice build, that you can beat them on a thief(assuming you are a S/D thief) is no surprise as you counter them pretty badly
New players? dunno but whenever i play a new class i feel like a new player as well, an I’ve had no problem learning on the go during matches, i don’t feel that the PvP community in this game is hostile towards others expect for a few players that feel like they came over from League, but that happens in every game
It’s pretty obvious to me if you check the leaderboards and see you raising or losing ranks.
In team arena I went up against the same team 3 times in a row, lost every game by 50-100 points, and despite our team having a player that is ranking in the top 30’s none of us barley lost any ranks
There should be a better system for it, but you can manage it
I think i’m at 1250H of which MANY were spent farming NPC’s in orr which should get me more chances, no drops though
Like really anet? i can understand a system in place for hotjoins to prevent rewards for players that quit, but getting a dc right at the end, joining in 10 seconds later and getting 0 rank points and 0 progress in reward tracks whY?

Fractal weapons should drop in a fractal weapon box to choose from as well, I’ve got a friend that has dropped about 5 fractal swords despite missing weapons, getting a harpoon gun as your first and second drop is quite horrible as well.
I’m glad I dropped the sword a while ago, yet I want the scepter and focus
WvW isn’t the only thing unplayable right now, Lag is currently rampant in every aspect of the game, heck right now i have issues doing AC
I buy mine with Karma as well Craigstead in Wayfayer’s takes a little longer but Karma is easier to come by then gold.
I can get 75G a day, getting 75K karma a day is a bit harder for me imo, or more boring i guess
This game isn’t really about maximizing stats in the first place unlike other MMO’s.
This game requires no grinding to be able to play at max stats as you are downscaled in so much content, however those shiny cosmetics that are optional do require grinding a lot of the time, dem legendary grinds, but you don’t need it at all
It never made sense to me that you can’t salvage them, I mean having to still pay a fair amount of money kinda beats that point(as dungeon armor isn’t hard to get either but is salvagable and doesn’t require money)
I wonder if the forgotten are still alive, or at least a couple of them, then again the same can be asked for many things like what’s happening to the people in Elona and Cantha or what happened in the past couple of centuries
Dunno in previous MMO’s usually whoever created a group would be the only one to kick or disband it or even assign loot drops back then, and it wasn’t much of a problem.
It’s pretty silly to get kicked from your own party due to a dynamic pug duo that doesn’t like you saying that staff guardian in dungeons is bad
There are a couple of things I would love to see:
- An additional tab in our character screen from which we can pull out store-bought items like the copper-fed as well as permanent gathering tools etc instead of having to constantly switch them between our alts for those of us that actually like to play multiple characters
- Custom outfit slots, in which we can save our current transmuted look to use them later on, because to be honest making us spend transmutation stones every time we want to change looks, i don’t know but some people like to change their look all of the time(hence why a lot of people want the permanent hairstyle contract)
An alternative would be a permanent transmutation stone that isn’t a consumable but it kinda beats the point of actual stones
- The last thing is something I would instantly buy with gems and it’s extra tabs to save traits instead of reseting them every time you switch what you are doing.
I would love to be able to simple switch between dungeon/Solo/WvW/Fractal traits without having to re-spend them every single time
It’s a bug and it happened to me earlier as well also on yellow(amber)
But after walking back there I was able to get in no problem by jumping towards the center of the jaws
I did all of the above before posting here, for some reason the game is still logging a duplicate connection, but at least i can now reenter the game without a connection error
After doing a CoE P1 I get a weird Game client crash that i haven’t had before(the kind that allows you to send a report to Anet)
However Now the game thinks I’m logged in despite not being logged in and I cannot access the game
Any advice on this matter? thanks in advance
Been using a Logitech G600 all this time, and I will instabuy a new one if something happens to it, that said I’ve been mashing it for the past 3 years using it at least 12 hours a day
So how much crying and economy impact would this have?
I’m all about non-RNG precursors but where do we draw the line?
If say today we make a recipe for each precursor that currently costs 500G for instance, wouldn’t said materials needed inflate greatly in price? wouldn’t actual precursors drop in price?

So you basically think that events all over the world that give us mobs to kill doesn’t count as in-game content?
Why should 1 type of content be more important then the other in a game like GW2, where there is nothing hardcore about PvE in the first place?
Items that can be applied over other items, aka skins(fractal skins achievement skins) Can just be applied which consumes them instead of paying a transmutation charge, items that can be obtained indefinitely can be applied over and over with no cost
I’ve always farmed cursed shore, not the champ train but the trash mob trains for heavy moldy bags
Grinding for me is doing the same task or the same type of task again and again to obtain something that cannot be obtained otherwise or as effectively as doing said tasks
People shouldn’t complain about others making money out of boring tasks they refuse to do, farmers shouldn’t think every discussion Anet makes is because of QQing, otherwise we would have had precursor crafting weeks after Launce
Dunno it didn’t seem very profitable to me, I opened 2 stacks of those coin purses and wasn’t really satisfied it’s RNG based and to be honest for gold purposes Cursed shore lootbag farming and Dungeons are more reliable
As far as I’m aware Macro’s have only been against the rules when it was giving players an unfair advantage over other players, I believe a lot of players use autoclickers to use Luck for instance
Zerker gear belongs in PvE, Soldiers in WvW, Spvp doesn’t have armor to start with and condi’s are only used in PvP/WvW roaming and Triple trouble runs.
Non-zerkers shouldn’t join zerkers, and at the same time speedrunners don’t have to act like they know everything.
It is so fun to see an LFG for a full zerk AC run 5K Ap+ 4 Warriors and 1 ele……
