Sorry, but that’s not why I voted for Kiel. I voted for Kiel for other reasons. I liked Kiel and how for candidate trials she wanted the stolen loot returned to the original owners. And, because I would prefer to have a fractal based on actual Guild Wars 2 lore, the Thurmanova reactor. I love game lore, and if I wanted to have more lore based on the human gods, I would go play Guild Wars 1, which last I checked, was stuffed full of human gods lore.
We know so little about the Thurmanova reactor. Its a mystery awaiting to be solved!

Guild Wars 2 dragons = Logan and Jennah’s fault. I did my part in taking down Zhaitan. Logan just went along for the ride.
You are either badly trying to troll people, or have never done the personal story/dungeon’s story (finishing with Arah story mode). Assuming you have done Arah story mode and at least somewhat paid attention, you will then recall that once your party and the pact repair the airship to usable condition again, one of the cast off lines jam (holding the airship to the ground). Logan chose to stay behind on the ground to cut the cast off line and free the airship, against the objections of Eir.
Later you re-meet up with Logan at the Pact Flag ship, The Glory of Tyria, who was able to escape the risen and join up with the flagship. So saying that Logan did nothing in the fight against Zhaitan is just false.

They actualy do, one of them just answered your post above me (edit: now two posts above me xD). That’s how dungeons in GW2 are designed. All you need to do is simply to punch the sandbag untill it’s dead. Problem for any zerker – pro, or not pro starts when his team simply lack dmg to put down enemy fast enough so they run of every possible cooldown to avoid and/or mitigate incoming damage. CoF for example is easy as kitten. 4 warriors tear through slaver in like what, 5-8s? With “pro” healing, toughness, vitality builds in your party it simply take AGES to bring one down – and if you have zerkarrior he’s most likely downed or dead if he couldn’t get rid of aggro. How about punching last boss without any result because your team can’t overcome his healing without 3 people being busy destroying the crystals? Or let’s take TA F/U – hundreds of people cry all over the place how impossible last boss is while all you have to do is to have decent DPS, some kind of projectile reflection and you tear through him in 20s or so not even pressing a dodge. It’s not rocket science. I’m average player that makes tons of mistakes and I maybe could lick Brazil’s shoes, and that’s if he let me to – I have completely no problem running content with full zerker team, that consist atleast one mesmer and one guardian. But when I join team that think it’s fun to bash enemy for half an hour well then that’s a whole diffrent story.
See and this is the problem with dungeon runs in general. the MAJOR difference in play speed, damage per second, and efficiency. CoF speed farmer would cry (almost literally) if their CoF path 1 speed run took a whole 1 extra minute longer because someone in the party miss timed a dodge or something. The extreme dungeon running elitism attitude gets on a lot of people’s nerves, my friends included. It just shows how varied the power levels of characters can be in a dungeon party. I hate elitist dungeon people who kick you because you either are missing a single gear item they think you should have, or something similar.

It is VERY easy to guest to another server where Arah is open.
So, how then will I find out which servers have Arah opened? Because you can only guest to 2 servers per 24 hours. If they guest to 2 different servers and they are BOTH not unlocked, plus the person’s own server, then they can’t get in.

Well eternal is fun GoM has more alpha golems than DR has people currently. GoM hits IOJ takes half there side then takes DR’s entire side. IOJ finally recaps there side and goes and hits DR keeps.
Its really lame that GOM needs such a large zerg to just capture an un-upgraded overlook keep from DR, and by using omega golems no less. Just goes to show that GOM is still a zerg fighting server.
Seriously, why the heck are we matched up against GOM??? We do not have the numbers of zergings to compeat. And the fact that siege (and golems) are now buyable on the trading post doesn’t help either, as its even EASIER to make golem rushes. This is a match-up pairing that should have never happened.

Sadly Orbs of Power were removed because of 2 main reasons. First they gave the server that had all 3 orbs a definitely unfair advantage over the other 2. (a 15% stat boost is really significant) Second was because of how irresistible the orbs of power were to hackers. Hackers would pull out all the stops to get those orbs of power for there server, teleporting with the orb across the map, teleporting into enemy keep to steal the orb, and so on.
Aye they were removed for good reason… They’d have to rebalance the buffs they gave before bringing them back in, but they were excellent in nicely balanced matchups.
As for hacking that wouldn’t be a problem if there was a decent system in place to permaban anyone who used them…
The reporting people for hacking stuff gets really complicated and tricky though . How many people get reported falsely just because they were either a really skilled player, or were legitimately suffering lag issues in that it seems to others that you are teleporting 5 foot distances? So how much are the player reporting services clogged up with pointless, untrue, or just plain trolling reports?
Case in point the other day when I was will some of my guild in an spvp matchup, an enemy player reported me because I was killing him so much on my ranger. He didn’t even offer any explanation as to why he “thought” I was hacking.

As much as I want to believe that Darkhaven’s reason is because we are more of a threat than IoJ, I just don’t. Devona’s has been focused on regardless of if we are in 2nd place or 3rd place. If in 3rd place, the reason is cause its easier for the 1st place server to battle instead of the 2nd placer.

Neither DR, IoJ or DH will be in this tier forever, and the only server that will be in a better place because of it is DR.
In T5 against Ehmry Bay DH will get absolutely smashed, and without a dominant server that DR has to deal with during prime time we can easily kick IoJ’s kitten in T7.
You lose some you win some. But when ratings finally settle soon I expect DR to win more than we lose. Especially against a weak IoJ prime time.
you do know we’re kicking your butt’s during YOUR prime time right now, right? Don’t underestimate our aussies either..they’re what closed the 12k gap and actually gave us a lead of 5.5k. DR is just a bitter server, there is always an excuse as to why you lose be it zergs/double team/or exploits (not valid reasons since DR has double teamed and zergstomped IoJ plenty of times; although atleast from what I’ve seen you guys have the integrity to not use exploits) still however DR and DH have a far larger WvW population then IoJ does and the reason we’re beating DR right now is proof of our superior tactics.
and for a side note: DH is actually a good server, they know how to use their numbers and disperse them into remote groups to hit multiple fronts all at once. As far as tactics go they are just plain better then the ones in DR
Easy reason why. We at Devona are getting worn out and tired of in wvw seeing over and over again, Darkhaven map mostly green with no IoJ on it, and of seeing no Darkhaven on IoJ map. We see on eternal battlegrounds DH pounding Devona’s side on the map and not touching IoJ (add in the fact that instead IoJ keeps on raiding our side of the map as well). Then finally we see our borderlands, both DH and IoJ on it. We see again and again Dh and IoJ mostly avoiding each-others borderlands, and we are tired of it.
Case in point right now both IoJ and DH are on our borderlands, and IoJ and Dh borderlands are under full control of said teams.

I am officially annoyed with how 9 times out of 10, DH will go for hitting Devona’s borderlands and not even touch IoJ borderlands. Same goes for IoJ, you won’t hit DH’s borderlands. Both IoJ and DH will go for hitting Devona’s borderlands, like they did again today. What was even more disappointing was when IoJ was hitting our Bay keep, DH entered Bay keep as well. DH just stood on the ridge and watched IoJ hitting Bay inner walls/gates, and then left.
Seriously, we are getting to the point were we are shocked when we find IoJ and DH fighting eachother. Case in point right now DH is hitting our borderlands full on and we only have garrison left, and only 1 tower in IoJ borderlands (no camps there, so it was seigerazor). And we have nothing in Eternal battlegrounds, but IoJ has their side of the map, and isn’t under attack at all.

So uhm… What is Darkhaven trying to achieve right now? I thought you wanted a new match up, at least one without DR in it?
Equalizing the score between IoJ and DR by pushing into our BL when IoJ is already doing just that, is going to reduce the amount of rating points DH gain, and decrease the amount of rating points that IoJ lose. This will lead to a much longer match up between these three servers.
That is a problem here. DH more often then not will go for attacking DR borderlands and not even touch IoJ borderlands (key words here are more often). This is something we at DR are getting tired of, both enemy servers hitting us and barely fighting each-other. Yes, DH and IoJ do fight each-other, sometimes, and when we see them doing so we go, “Wait is DH attacking IoJ for once!?!?!?”. Such as in eternal battlegrounds, IoJ will own their side of the map, and we in DR have ours. What seems to be 80% of the time DH will attack us, and IoJ will also attack us.

Every time I move my ranger close to a wall for a barrage, I can not place the ground target anywhere but on edge of the wall as my camera is pinned beneath the overhang. The fact that an arrow cart placed next to the wall can hit stuff on the far side of the wall is hard evidence that hacks are involved. While occasionally people do dumb things and build trebs instead of rams outside of the gate, that arrow cart placement is a pretty decent indicator that they were putting it someplace where it could not be seen, but they had some way of seeing from that position not available to others. So if you see someone in your zerg build one there, take their name please and report. I will do the same if I see anyone on my side doing it.
That is my policy on cheaters also, I will report them, regardless of if they are on my team or the enemy team. I hate cheaters. Play the game fairly the way everyone else does, or don’t play at all.
And while I know that tecknicly only a handfull of DH players are doing this, and its bad to say that its all of DarkHaven doing this, it’s hard to keep that in mind. When our keeps fall over and over again because this arrow cart hack/bug was used, it’s just sad. And we end up in map chat going, “DH is doing the arrow cart hack AGAIN?!?!?! ugh.”
So please DH, if you see someone building these kind of placed arrow carts, don’t build them.

As far as the arrow cart thing. I’ve seen arrow carts placed flush up against an outer wall (dead giveaway for exploiting a zoom hack or bug). I’ve also seen an arrow cart placed inside a wall and used for defense. Both I’ve seen this week, but not in earlier weeks. It has been someone or some people from DH that have been doing it.
And this is the problem. This arrow cart zoom bug/hack is annoying, aggravating, and depressing.
My guild [AoD] knows allot about siege usage, placement, and how well used siege can turn the tide of nearly any battle short of the enemy outnumbering you so greatly. So when I place an arrow cart inside our keep, BEHIND the gate like 20 feet, the enemy can’t hit it back (unless they use good treb shots over the walls/gates). So when I see the work our guild has done sieging up a keep so that it will be well defended when people use the siege, I feel glad. But this is all destroyed very quickly when as the DH zerg come to our gate, and I suddenly see the red aoe arrow cart circles raining down on our siege.
I have seen this arrow cart zoom hack/bugplentyy of times now in the past 4 days. I have seen WHERE they place said arrow carts. I have tried to replicate it by putting my arrow carts in the same places, and no matter what camera angle or resolution I try, I CAN’T hit stuff on the other side of the gate/walls. (and no, not using this dumbSBAB camera bug people talk about) When I see the DH zerg outside our keeps using this arrow cart bug/hack to take out our siege we took alot of time to placing, it just gives a bad name for DH,especiallyy when they already outnumber us when attacking said keep.
A response from Anet about this arrow cart problem would be a great help. Or even better, a fix. :/

People running in and upgrading during an attack already happens. What I see is a few excuses to not add wxp to a part of the game that being overlooked.
Upgrading, escorting and repairing has always been ignored. Not only by the ones behind the game but also by those playing it. Very few stays behind and does the hard work.
We all enjoy the game in different way, why shouldn’t our way be as rewarding as any other part?
I can promise you that there are more people who has never paid for an upgrade, escorted a dolly or placed a siege then there are people who spend 95% of their time doing nothing but.
And after this patch, it’s become even worse. 70 man zerg on your bl who choses to ignore and defend a fully upgraded keep with the mentality “We will just retake it” and instead farms bags at a camp. Thank you Anet for encouraging this!
“We will just retake it” is the biggest insult to the ppl who has spent 6 or more hours upgrading (again their own gold) and escorting dollies for that keep.
I agree that upgrades should give some wxp, but with restrictions. First, you should only get the wxp when the upgrade FINISHES. Second, only the structure upgrades for towers, keep, and stonemist castle should give it. Supply camp upgrades should give it also. This will help avoid trolls buying useless upgrades like merchants or banker, specially if the building is under attack.
I do recall seeing at times when I am helping around a tower and have defended it, I will get a eventcompletionn reward of “Defend the workers upgrading the tower/keep,” because the upgrade finished.

This is an event that does need to be buffed to be on par with the dragon champion events. For most of the Elder Dragons (that have been active in Tyria/we know about), we have a champion of their’s to fight:
Zhaitan -We fight Tequatl the Sunless (and other of his champions in personal story, like at Claw island).
Kralkatorrik – We fight The Shatterer.
Jormag – We fight the Claw of Jormag.
Now of the known Elder dragons minions we fight against, this leaves Primordus. As his minions are the destroyers from underground, he has no dragon-like champions. The closest we come to fighting one of his champions, is the Megadestroyer. So this Elder dragon champion should thus be treated as one, and have its rewards changed to reflect this.

The events do need better level scaling. Things in some whats have been improved. A good example of this is the Claw of Jormag dragon. “In the old days, i remember that people would want to farm kill the dragon at his first stage, where he fires those 2 dragon crystals out that spawn Icebroad Elementals. In a large group of people, they were too easy to kill, even when they were scale leveled up to level 82 to 84, and they had good loot. I remember being able to on my warrior go into the middle of the mob of Icebroad and use off-hand axe #5 skill Whirling wrath, mostly easily taking on the enemies along with my allies. On very rare occasions i would die (ok downed actually) from the Icebroad, but rarely.
Now the Icebroad from the Claw of Jormag dragon areallott stronger, and doallott more aoe damage. Can’t just run to them and go all Whirling wrath axespinningg on them anymore. And there loot levels were lowered, so people not farming them anymore and yelling at people who after the icebroad are killed go and attack the dragon’s ice wall. (”Why are you killing the dragon?!?!?!? We are farming here!!!") Same for the dragokittentage 2, the mobs are strongenought in a full map that has a queue that they aren’t just pushovers.
Minions aside, the dragons still need changes. Mainly, that 95% of all the players will stand at one spot off to the side and shoopracticallyly afk with little fear of dieing. If in stage 1 Claw of Jormag those big ice spikes that push you back also were at that place off the right side of the wall that everyone stands at, it would be different, and not afk’able. But as it is you just stand to the side and shoot.

Honestly the best thing they can do to solve this problem is to put a cooldown on guesting. Make it so you can only guest to a server once every some-odd hours, like 5 hours. That would solve the problem of people right when they complete their world event chest (dragons, maw, ect.), that they guest to whatever server has one of those events up right now (say going strait from Claw of Jormag to Shatterer).
This way you COULD still be able to guest to a server that has the events active that you want/neein additionon to your home server, but not be able to so easily spam them.

Yea, the 25 people to activate orange swords is a bit too much if you ask me. If it was 10 or 15 i would be ok, but at 25, you are looking basically at zerg battles only.

Why is Warr Machine coming to our server? Of all places, to DR. Why? First off: they PROMISSED kain they would get kain up to wvw Tier 1, but kain is in Tier 2 right now. So without WM guild to back kain up, they are going to crash and burn. Second: They also promised kain they would crush DR when they went up against us, which they did. Completely crushed us and spawn camping. Absolutely hated them. We as a server took a very heavy blow because of that. Lost allot of fair-weather guilds and players
So they have thusabandonedd kain. And they will force DR up into the high tiers level 1 or 2. Then they will abandon DR, just like kain, and then we will crash and burn as well. Why is Warr Machine coming here to DR? We have been getting our teamwork together, improving, and getting better. We cannot afford to be pushed up into a high level tier that we are not ready or equippedd to fight, especialy if WM just leaves if they push us up to tier 1 or 2.

Would be really nice to see some numbers of how many ppl your own server have for each map, but dont show the enemy numbers cause that will make things unfair.
And a number to see how many ppl are waiting in Queue
Sadly I have to disagree with having a indicator on how many of your people are on a map. Because even if that number of players on the map info was not shown to the enemy teams (lets say your server is green team), they (red and/or blue teams) could just use spies to find out. They (the spies), could then report when green team’s population suddenly jumped from about 12 (because green team owns the whole map), to 60 because red is attacking your borderlands in full force. “The green zerg has arrived! They brought 60 people!”
So while a population indicator would be nice, it would just end up getting used for the wrong reasons.

Well, after 4 months on kain, starting the game the first week that kain won I have abandoned ship to my #1 enemy, Dr, bringing along a few friends with me. So far the pastures have been much greener on the other side. As someone who loves roaming you can only handle so much steam rolling before you get bored out of your mind.
Last night four of us were running around kain bl having a blast. One thing I noticed and hope isn’t too normal is most of the fellow Dr people I saw were just exp training; two zergs worth actually. Someone mentioned how they saw an organized zergs last night, it was just an exp train.
Half of the reason we decided to run “exp trains” is because whenever we try to get a foothold in any map by taking a single tower, the maximum population of Kain allowed on that map at once come crashing down on us. We barely are given a chance to make some sort of progress. The only response Kain has for when we take a tower is to zerg it, or use more than 5 catapults/trebs to kill our zero upgraded tower.
So instead we are reduced to do one of the only options we have left: hitting supply camps. Sure it turns into basically doing an exp/karma train, but it lets us at least do SOMETHING worthwhile in WvW.
On a side note that was a fun battle in Ebay Borderlands yesterday at redbriar tower, were we got the tower walls upgraded juuuuuuuust as they were about to break. It was a good laugh for us.

Why is it that whenever we show up on a map and take a single tower, the full population allowed at once on that map for Kain show up to crush us? Seriously, you aren’t even giving us a chance to get a foothold on a map. You are already guaranteed to move up to the next wvw tier. http://mos.millenium.org/matchups#NA

I am really sorry to hear that mate. It is too bad that people take the WVW to that level. That is what I like about NSP. You don’t get flack from people if you do not wish to go WVW. It looks like you guys may be better off when they leave. Once you settle in a proper tier, the fights will become much more fun. Of course if ANET does not fix the World Jumping, this will just remain demoralizing to everyone.

Yea, this is still a problem with the mass world transfers. Sure, the new limit that you can only world transfer once a week has definitely helped some, but its not enough. People are still jumping from server to server world. The free transfers need to stop.
Server transfers need to cost gems again. Perhaps their could be that you could transfer to a server for free if it has a lower population than your current server, but I can see trolling problems with that. (I caimaginein a server getting a mass “transfer” of bots and empty characters to clog the server so that others can’t get the free transfer to said server.) Still, the transfers need to cost gems again. Then a lot of the server jumping people and guilds would have to stop and think about how they could contribute to WvW and make their server stronger, instead of just jumping overboard the first chance then get.

Just to say about the people “complaining” that Eredon Terrace is not showing up: Last night we held 2 keeps and 2 towers. We held them for a long time. However Sorrows Furnace started to lose ALOT of ground on the other map in their Borderland. Soon, Sorrows Furnace had litteraly nothing, so then Northern Shiverpeaks more focused on us. We still held NS off well for a long time. Had some good battles defending our towers.

If you guys have sooooooo much gold, then i can think of better uses of it, like making Legendary weapons. And that many golems…we have no chance to defend against that. I spent alot of my money to upgrade the garrison (and the garrison from last night), and in the end it did NOTHING. Reinforced gates? So many golems rip through them like paper. Any other attack and that upgrades money would have been actually useful. All my money (at least 4 gold worth) down the drain in a matter of seconds.

And then to add insult to injury you “let” us destroy them at godsword after a while along with some trebs. If those were obtained without exploits then I wouldn’t have just been throwing them away like candy.

And they are all Alpha seige golems. Total BS. Their is no way those are normaly obtained golems. Alot of those have to be hacks or an exploit. Not a single one of them are normal golems. With the cost of Alpha siege golems, so many of them would be too expensive. This is not sportsmanship, it just crulty and not leting us hold a single keep out of the 10 or more you already have.

Ok Yak’s Bend….this is just sad. AGAIN you rush our (Eredon T) garrison with 10 or so golems and take it with no effort. This is sad that you have to resort to such underhanded trickery to win what you want in your domination against us. You did this EXACT same thing last night. 10 golems? really? What a waste of gold. And now alot of us are gonna end up not showing up, and thus you will all be whining about being board. Gee…i wonder why?…..

I hope that the point difference will not hamper people from coming out to play just cause they are loosing points. I had the best WvW last night since I started playing. FA was outstanding in siege and hit and run tactics and hope to battle them like that soon. ET was not in the battle on YBBL much and unfortunate as a 3 way battle would change the whole scenario around. I hope to see them on anyway.

Unfortunately that is exactly what is happening. I’m from ET. I was on for many hours after the reset in our ET borderlands. We held our garrison and 2 towers (cliffside and longview), very well. We even held out despite the fact that we were getting attacked hard from both Yak’s Bend AND Fort Aspenwood. We even held of a serious attack on our garrison from the water gate. The garrison was almost fully upgraded also (alot of it cause of my money). How ever….suddenly we get a major attack an hour later on our garrison…and i couldn’t believe what i saw: 8 to 10 Yak’s Bend golems attacking the garrison water gate. I was dumbfounded (and most of our team also), that Yak’s Bend decided to resort to 8 to 10 gold’s worth of golems to destroy the garrison. We had no chance, the gates were torn down in a matter of less than 30 seconds each (and they were reinforced). We fought with everything we had. Giving up one of our towers in the process and our supply camps. We stopped the garrison capture for as long as we could, but it was no use. Yak’s Bend had about 10 golem in the lord’s room, and they had immediately set up seige in there.
We held out for like 10 minutesdesperatelyly trying to fix the gates to slow them down from getting more into the lords room, but it was no use, it was quickly destroyed again. 10 golems is just too much to handle, let alone the flood of Yak’s Bend troops still rushing in. It was a moral crushing defeat and the loss of our almost fully upgraded garrison. It wafrustratingng that they had to resort to a swarm of golems to defeat us, and defeat us they did. Most of ET then logged of ifrustrationon andespairre. The rest of us retreated to Eternal Battlegrounds to defend our keep there. But with so many of us logged of already it was no use. All we could do is watch as Yak’s Bend destroyed the Fort Aspenwood held Stonemist Castle, knowing we were next. Yak’s Bend already owned everything (and i mealiterallyly everything) in Yak’s Bend and FA’borderlandsds, and everything but a supply came in our own boarderlands. Shortly after Yak’s Bend took Stonemist from FA. We were next. Our final stronghold in all the maps fell in a matter of minutes.
By continuing to attack and take all territory, Yak’s Bend causes the snowballing problem of that when the other teams see badlyddly we are getting crushed and hbasicallyicly no territory, alot of the more casual players won’t show up. This leads to the dominating team whining that they are sooooooo board and that we aren’t even showing up at all. If you take everything, you will crush the enemy moral and not have really any more player wvw kills to get for the week.

We had some pretty fun fights in EB last night. ET showed up and was pushing relentlessly on one side and TC was pushing on the other side. Most fun I’ve had this week in WvW.

Indeed. I’m from ET, and it was a fun battle yesterday. We had alot of coordination and teamwork. Even though the score board “said” we had 1 (sometimes 2) towers and a supply camp, it really doesn’t tell the whole story. It was a battle. We had a blast
My issue with SoR (and last week against Blackgate), is that it feels on our side that when SoR sees that we own a single tower and camp, they will aggressivelyly try to take it back. “Oh no! We don’t own everything anymore! Unacceptable!” So then they swarm the 1 tower we have. Great, now we have nothing (again!). So now a lot of our less dedicated players are gonna give up and leave. This leads to less players kills that SoR can make, leading them to be more board.
Can’t you at least give us a reasonable chance to hold at least SOME territory? (I am not saying to leave that 1 tower we have compleatly alone , I am saying too give us a chance by not raiding it with a 40 or 50+ man zerg that we have no chance to stop.) Give us a chance to be at least somewhat on the offensive from our single tower, and this will in-directly lead to you having more fun also and getting more player kills (and thus more Honor badges
).

ET is pretty much a no show so far during this match so I don’t think there is any way there could be any sort of an alliance. I honestly haven’t even seen one person from ET yet.
I’m from ET, and we HAVE been trying. But we are hoplessly outnumbered. A while ago we took a tower back and held it. But then, just like what happened last week to us from Blackgate, we got overwelmingly swarmed by the winning team. It was as if SoR was finding the fact that we owned a single tower was unacceptable, and must be stopped at all costs. If you wanted to make it an interesting battle, then at least give us a chance and not make it apear so hopless that we can’t event take a single tower or keep back.
