Smashed the first 5 alone but had help with the last one and the poor soul had to invite himself to party cause he didn’t like dying.

Lol…I have been saying this for well over a month now. Anet isn’t going to change WvW because people just spam the forums with threads…just makes T8 look bad.

I love to dance and shoot fireworks when spawn camping too, because there are three exits to every spawn and if gets them to keep charging out to give me badges and loot bags I will keep doing it.

I do not remember anyone stating HoD deserved to be stuck in T8. What I do recall is everyone agrees SF deserves to move up based on the +/- 3 months of domination.

Cantur, you keep using this “3 months of domination” figure in these threads, but it isn’t accurate. We’ve only been in T8 since January 4th, so that’s only little over 2 months total that we’ve been in T8. And we’ve only been dominating since the January 18-25 match-up (so that’s roughly 1.5 month of domination, not 3 months as you’ve been claiming).

Now, it could very well be the case that it’ll take 3 months of domination for us to claw our way out of the Glicko Ghetto. But we haven’t dominated for 3 months yet.

If we didn’t have people give up a couple of weeks ago we would have been out of here also if you look at the score board history we never lost points during our domination until two weeks ago. (except the first week we won in the tier)

No I know that but we are so close, and would have bee out already if people on our server didn’t get bored with the current match up. We are gaining 50pts this week and about 50 pts under HoD after the reset tonight so hopefully we will be out next week if we push hard.

I didn’t take it as a dig, the system suck and just want to move out of here and good luck to HoD when they slide down.

The real issue is how SF can continue to dominate like this for weeks upon weeks, and still have no chance to move into T7.

It seems most weeks they even lose overall points despite dominating. How long does a server have to dominate a tier before it gets a chance to move up? The ratings system is broken.

This is not true if you look at the history….the problem was when we landed in T8 the scores of the other teams were so low.

This is looking so good right now for FC to really pull back in second….we can only hope that Team Al keeps it up right now.

I brought a friend in case ET came to the EB jp earlier in the night but I left to go out in the field…and Dc’d. Not really sure what happens to golems when you dc but hope someone was able to use it.

Just actually went to switch to WvW and saw the scoreboard. I knew it was a matter of time before Fergs would take their place back. Hopefully in a few days you will increase the lead. Good job FC, keep up the good work.

One thing that I always see posted as a fix is that Anet put a floor so servers in T8 wont go below, but wont that just push all the other servers up higher and just revert back to what we have now after the higher tiers gain more points.
I mean the match did start out at 0 and given the time if you make the floor 1,000 seems like it would only be a matter of time before the situation would just repeat itself.

FilthyRat, take a look at the EU ratings, the exact same thing happens with tier 9 and their tier 8 reflects scores of the other tiers more closely, just like tier 7. Yet I doubt their tier 8 is signifcantly stronger than ours.

So it seems this problem will only inevitably happen with the “Floor” of the tiers the final tier in a ranking, in this case tier 8. It is a Glicko2 math issue that occurs in a tier where there is nowhere to fall to, if there was a tier 9 and three new servers we would probably magically get ratings that would enable us to access tier 7 as readily as they can access tier 6 rather than current disparity.

So one thing that could be done is to establish an artificial tier, for example creating a “Tier 9” in NA and “Tier 10” in EU, only fill them with ghost servers where accounts cannot be created or played, ghost servers that exist simply to take the rating hit. Call them “Tier Ghost” or something like that. This is assuming that there are no mathematical algorithms that could be added in to make it work.

Basically, an artificial tier with artificial servers to take the artificial ratings gap that we otherwise have to suffer.

Oh yes I see that I was under the impression people just wanted to put a numerical floor of 1,000 pts.

Lol, if we didn’t have people get bored two weeks ago we probably would have been out of the tier by now. We lost a tenth of a point last week and 50pts the weeks before, but we haven’t lost any points other than that since the first week we won.

We stand to gain 40pts so far in the MOS ranking, the only problem SF has had was to be matched up with two teams with low scores, so if anything we are the least at fault in this whole T8 ratings fiasco. I really believe now that it really wasn’t SF that received tons of transfers before the free ones ended but that the other servers actually lost people.

FC did took 2nd during the friday… But I’m sure that if FC was really active as you claim to, they would easily replace ET…

Fc will beat ETagain…you have already lost a lot of the transfers you recieved, unless everyone just gave up. And sure you guys will lose more in time to come. FC had guilds transef out two weeks ago and have put together a good counter force during all hours, where ET is only floating on the new night crew. This sort of mentality will only carry you so far, sorry that FC has more of a fight than ET during US hours on a US server. If you really feel like ET can just burden the backs of non US players to do good in a US bracket then gues we will have to just wait and see.

To me looks like there isn’t even any sort of daytime or night time presence for ET, only overnight and early morning to midday. How long do you think the other will wait while their daytime crew spends all day on forums.

How long have you been playing the game? There has been a problem since day one, and if you guys really think that you are taking a beating by being able to hold your own borderland and take other parts of EB if not the whole thing…then obviously you haven’t experienced the worst of the game.

The various battles in FC BL from about 4:00-9:00 PM EST were fun. I was overseeing a lot of the defense and upgrades there during that period, so kudos to the SF who came out and made defense duty interesting. I was also pleasantly surprised to see that we had Stonemist at one point.

Yeah me too it’s been way to long here in this T8 quagmire. Love seeing your guild out there cause I always know it’s going to be a real good fight and just love the guild name too. I find some of the best fight I have are when we lose and some have been at the hand of your guild.

Yeah people can have some sort of misunderstanding about me in the forums but I really am a good person. I just like to give certain people a taste of there own medicine sometimes and never mean anything personal…truth be told I have friends on ET and people that came to SF from ET. I have had a back and forth with a few from FC in past but I think the transferred out unfortunately.

I did bump up the FC night crew post also and hope you guy get some numbers back…look forward to seeing you on the battlefield win, lose, or draw.

Just letting you FC guys know we are still here.

We are active most nites from 5pm austime (1:00-2:00am U.S.A)
till morning shift kickes in around 10:30 11:00pm austime (7:000-8:00)

with the steep increase in ET nite Crew (30-40ppl) it has become harder to hold as much as we could 2 weeks ago. I urge any Aussie players to come join us (join the guild or just come for the nite run)

we are gathering 10-20 ppl on nite runs now thanks to all those who come on a regular run but we still need more!

surprisingly SF is undermanned at these times and ET has been allowed to Steam on thru EB and our BL. if we can get a few more and stop there nite terror we can very posibly get our Blue position back!!!

I think you guys took SM a total of at least 3 times in last 24hrs from us that I witnessed. For being the server with the least numbers right now would hate to see what you guys would be capable with even numbers. Always good fights with you guys and a shame the way the numbers turned two weeks ago.

But if you keep up the amazing tactics and get a few more people out there….there is now doubt in my mind that you will blast to blue again. Can’t remember if it was last night or this morning but the siege you guys set up in Rouges had us in a tizzy, so much yelling and fighting in map chat. (and can imagine you guys reaped in a lots of bags and badges)

Lol…there needs to be a threat to jp before one can camp it…and even with that hero you have the threats are slim to none. (95% of the time)

That being said I am always on the front line….yes when i discovered the ports in jp I spent a lot of time there and was able to acquire thousands of pieces of siege for our team. Now there is a little bit of threat on some times but can’t say much for there being a lot of hard fight out there. Well except for the fact that ET seems to be made up of mostly thieves and rangers at like 75% of their whole team. Might do g=better with some other classes mixed in.
