Hey everyone looking forward to a good match this week, not sure how many people use this site buts it’s pretty good for seeing scores and upcoming match ups. <a href=http://mos.millenium.org/matchups#NA</a>
Any one can update the score…game isn’t letting me in right now but will update for our bracket if it’s not done before that.
That battle in SM was epic. All 3 servers in one spot.
Wish I was there for it. So many good battles this week…can’t wait for upcoming week either. Good luck to all!

Yeah I usually clear mobs before gathering, but have just started running through Orr with tons of mobs on me so never even noticed in the almost 1,000 hrs of play that this could happen…lol
I feel that fractals and the endless grind have killed pve.
At least silly design killed the living world or at least is slowly.
Why did they put three dungeons past 70?
Why put the newest content into the most crowded city?I completely agree that pve is far from perfect, and there are many things I want to change in pve.
However, this thread was intended to point out the bad design that causes wvw to affect pve.
My main point is that fractals have probably done more harm to pve, than any other factor in the game. It is one of the best ways to make money and because of the grind in this game that is all some people ever do anymore. The population in Orr has dropped since fractal introduction.
I do agree that some things should be kept separate…world completion. I love WvW and have only only bought the upgrades and realized that you had to build new ones each time you want to use one (focus on magic find and unlocking new upgrades). So this just seems like an issue with a players particular guild.

A lot of people are already traveling for the holidays and since Borlis doesn’t have a huge population, when we do well it means it’s because we play long hours.
I agree with the long hours, but all of our past matches we’ve outnumbered our enemies the majority of the time, which has made most of these landslide victories rather hollow. AR bashed us about population but they had every right to do so, as we did gain a rather large active WvW base just in the time my guild moved here(just following Halloween).
I know they’re watching us right now eating some popcorn :P
Don’t Forget about us in SF
Yeah the ruined ones will be mixed in with good mats and think it has happened to me when under attack. I’ll see something like two ancient wood on my screen with a ruined one in the middle. Usually clear mobs before gathering so never paid much attention when I gather when under attack.
Will have to take a screen shot and bug report it, just maybe thought at first they nerfed gathering. Thanks for letting me know it isn’t happening to everyone

How come in the last couple of days I’m getting ruined materials even when I have Orichalcum gathering tools equipped. Has this bee happening to anyone else?

morningstar, you do rage a lot and I hear a lot of complaints from people… not sure if the ban is warranted though (filter is there for a reason)
however, it is true that morningstar is online for like 20 hours a day in wvw lol I’ll give him that… thats gonna hurt not having a blue icon there all the time

It’s not just the grind but the way the nerf everything is really starting to bug me (when there are a ton of problems that really need fixing like fractals). I would rather pay a subscription and have some cool items to show for it than have to spend like 50g on TP to get a stupid bell. And did they really have to nerf dye drop? There is like a million different color dyes out there.
Just think it’s going to do more harm than good in the end.
The thing that bugs me is the whole manipulation of the economy and having the price of items like the dyes being driven up because they have to nerf the drops. The price of abyss die went from 5g to 17g just seems a little crazy where they manipulate items like that.
They should focus more on the game breaking problems with this game instead of making sure people have to spend hours of their time just to try to get something a little bit special. (like getting dc’ed in fractals or Orr quest chains)
I thought the interview was pretty good and looking forward to what they will introduce in the future. My biggest issue is being in a match up where our team is getting beat by almost 500,000 points. (oh and maybe drop the price of siege)
Glad they are changing it…I was is a group for about 20-30 mins and had people in my group just standing there not doing anything then we lost a dolyak.

Wow he says you set a bad reputation as keeps posting screenshots of the score board and insulting players from our servers. Nothing wrong with winning by such a huge margin…but to keep posting screen shots of the score board. I can see the players that like to fight jump from your server if we still have this match up next week.

Set a Deadline for server Transfers and make it available for every 3 months. Do not allow transfer’s to populated servers.
That only works well for the servers that have the number and would be terrible for any server that lacks in wvw. Wouldn’t be surprised to see a huge transfer off you server if you continue to have matches like this…can’t imagine it’s fun for everyone there. (maybe just for the chest thumpers)

There is a community in this game? Ok, true I am not a veteran with a huge experience of all aspects of this game, havent even reached 80 yet!
Getting close though, so far, the only evidence I seen of a “community” are rare posts on any map chat (mostly its dead though), 2 completely random guild invites and 1 group invite for a map event. Other then that this feels like a single player game…
Sigh… maybe I picked the wrong server or something,
I have to agree, I rarely if ever see another person while questing. I have not even seen any guild spam or recived a random invite to one. This feels like a single player game, I am trying to get through as fast as I can but it is slow going alone.
Yeah we switched out of Kaineng cause there was almost 0 pve community there (couldn’t find dungeon runs at all) and went to Sorrow’s Furnace and loving it now. I never ninja invite people to my guild think it is bad taste without a message to them first. You should probably switch servers (our guild is always recruiting and very helpful)

I was in Dredgehaunt Cliffs two days ago and was gathering a few nodes out there when there when all of a sudden these toons would teleport in and collect the node then vanish again.
Was wondering if anyone else has witnessed this, i just ended up leaving the area cause they seemed to pop up when I would start harvesting a node almost like my harvesting was triggering them. Was really weird
I kind of feel it was a bad tactic we should have focused on the big dog and make them have to fight in their home turf.
Just read post again and see what you mean now about BP attacking our borderland and we were attacking yours…and your right.
Would have been better if they attacked BP since they were in our BL…but those are probably the people that showed up for a day and half to wvw.

It was taken like 30-60 min after the reset.
SF didn’t help us. Sure fighting over garrison was a good thing for us, but having to defend from two front, from two ennemies, that didn’t help us at all.
The only reason why they didn’t take Hills was because we defended it. They went for Garrison and probly didn’t know you were inside. But they still lost it right after.
If you check other borderland, BP was attack free, EB had BP attacking us And SF had BP attacking them.
So BP attacked everyone, SF attacked AR, and AR defended vs 2 ennemies. And we also had to defend from BP in EB.
The reset day is big, this is the moment that will decide if fairweather stay or go pve. I’m sure we lost a lot of them after this attack, especially since we thought SF would give us a break.
Borliss Pass would still have won this match up, but I still think SF went the easy way and attacked the smallest ennemy. While Anvil Rock went for BP right after, just to kittenw ith ya1 :P
I have no bad feeling about it, Just wanted to explain the situation. I wasn’t proud of my SF friend.
I still believe our fight would have been easier in AR BL if SF wasn’t there, cause we did have to worry a lot about them.
I just moved to SF a week1/2 ago and believe it or not but both our borderlands and EB were full right after reset so there was nothing against AR. Wish all those people were showing up during the week…hope next week is better when we move down a tier. Good luck to both BP and AR in their matches next week.
Think i heard they had a new build because there was a copper node that gave an extra piece or two

Die if you crash in combat for any reason is a little price to pay for having a more fair and funny game.
I agree and have been dc’ed more that a few times over the last several months of playing the game…and the only thing I’m thinking is how long is it going to take me to get back in the game and how far do I have to run to get back into a battle. Never have I worried if some opposing player is going to get a stupid badge, I would actually rather them get the badge.
I’m down to do a 5war dungeon run. I’ve done a 4 warrior + ranger run once in CoE and it was fine. Made for some very entertaining Alpha fights. Warriors all clumping together adds perma uptime on fury through FGJ, huge might stacks, if multiples are running shout heals then you are looking at strong area healing as well. One of them running hammer to ensure lenghty uptime on weakness increases survivability. I feel like a 5 warrior run is alot stronger than something like 5 theifs or 5 mesmers.
He means 5 warriors all using 5 signets during the run to try to prove a point cause of a thread where people talked about kicking 5 signet warriors. I love runs with multiple shout/banner warriors. (shout here)
Awful idea…would look way to foolish. Like the idea of land spears, halberd, and great axes added.
I used to hate playing my warrior until I rolled a shout warrior and now I run dungeons again and love playing him.

My guild switched out of GoM a couple of months ago and now that the guild is pretty much broken a few of us would love to come back, but the server is always full. Wish it wasn’t such a pve server.
Lol you should have sent people to EB then to help out if the whole borderlands was good.
Have fun over there guys, a few of us transferred to Kaineng from Dark Haven because the game became just a zergfest of flipping bases and points. Hope it is better on DB than DH where commanders wouldn’t have the time to bring their zerg to defend a fully upgraded keep just to take towers. Really don’t blame you after reading the forums the past few days…Good luck guys!
Come from DH and funny to see everyone that was hiding last week when we were losing come out to play now. Commander badges should be given as WvW rewards so we can get rid of some of these people that don’t show up when we lose. Give props to DB for their bravery they are a tough bunch and don’t flee from you like those maguuma cowards.
